When I was in the market for my first home purchase, John was instrumental in finding the right house with all the features I was looking for. He was relentless in finding just what I wanted: location, price and property features, while making it an enjoyable process from start through closing. Years later when I relocated out of the area, he played just as an important role in the selling the home. We were under some time constraints with the contingence purchase which could have been very stressful but John came through in typical fashion with a cash offer at asking price. And we closed without a hitch. I would recommend John to anyone buying or selling a property.

Wow! I had the best service imaginable with the staff at Leland Goldman. I had the opportunity to rent and purchase properties from them. Sissy was totally on point in addressing all my needs. John, where do I begin? You made me feel like part of the family, and the service you gave me was impeccable. I'm trying to write this review without crying because I have 'NEVER' experienced this type of service from any company. As I stated, I feel like part of your family for life. I have been living out of the state for the past two years and I have to say the single best decision I made was trusting Leland Goldman Real Estate to be my property managers. Adrienne and her team of managers are truly one of a kind. They are always very responsive and any problems that come up, they have immediate solutions that take the burden and stress off the owner. We highly recommend Sissy at Leland Goldman Real Estate. She was incredibly helpful in our search for a new home. Moving from the west coast and having no prior knowledge of the Virginia Beach area, Sissy shared detailed information about each area of the rentals she showed us. She went above and beyond in showing us rentals outside of her normal work hours. She provided excellent customer service rooted in genuine care for our family. We thank her for helping us find the perfect home for our family! Additionally, a week after settling into our new home, we received a welcome card with all of Sissy's favorite food spots. We had mentioned on one of our calls with her that my husband is a foodie and he asked for her best recommendations as a VB local. And to top it off, she also gave us a gift card to one of her favorite restaurants. So thoughtful!! She also has a heart for those serving in the military since her husband was prior service and they know the challenges of moving (PCSing). I was renting out a former residence on my own. But when my most recent tenant gave notice I did not want to have to find a new tenant and have to worry about the day to day worry about possible maintenance issues since I now have little kids in my life. I contacted quite a few property managers in my search and they all seemed to have many hidden fees or charged an arm and a leg to find a tenant. New tenant fee with Leland Goldman Real Estate was much more reasonable, helping me to feel that they were going to try to find long term tenants rather than churn them every year for the placement fee. They also were quoting a higher estimate for what they thought they could rent it for. Once we met at the unit they raised the proposed rent by 8%. The unit was placed on the market the middle of the week and by the next Monday I had three strong offers. We discussed the strengths and weaknesses of each and choose one together. From me deciding to go with them to the new tenant moving in took less than three weeks. They were professional and made me feel comfortable every step along the way. We have since spoken about future plans for me to expand my rental portfolio, and while I do not have the finances to do it now I am looking forward to working with them to grow.

Jonathan had been recommended to me by everyone at work previously stationed in the Norfolk/VB area. I was a very tough buyer and the market was tight. Jonathan was absolutely relentless and found my family a great house at a good price. Unfortunately, our stay in the VB area is shorter than we would have hoped, as we just received orders overseas. I will be using Jonathan and the folks at Leland Goldman Real Estate to manage the property while we are out of the country. I cannot speak highly enough of Jonathan and trust him implicitly to take care of my property while out of the country. I will also be using him to sell the property whenever that event occurs.

Really surprised to see the one-star reviews below. I know when I was looking for a place to live I read Google reviews of the management group for each property because a good landlord is SO important. So here's what I've experienced over the last six months of living in a Leland-managed property: 1. SUPER QUICK maintenance response. I've had my water heater go (fixed within 36 hours), I've had my a/c go (fixed within 5 hours). Even the non-emergency thing I put in a request for was handled promptly. 2. Paying rent is easy-peasy. There is no "convenience fee" to pay your rent online, which so many nowadays charge. Their online system for rent payment & maintenance requests makes everything super easy. 3. I have spoken with Jonathan both over the phone and over text. I have met with a few of the others who work at Leland (as well as texted and spoken on the phone). I have never had a single rude, curt, or unprofessional experience with any of them 4. The lease IS comprehensive. There are some things in there that I've never had in a lease before (mostly that they want you to move out 2 days prior to the end of the month, which could cause logistical issues if you don't plan ahead). But everything else is pretty standard. It boils down to -- you are responsible for leaving the place THOROUGHLY clean. That's perfectly reasonable. I have a rental property myself and basically reused Leland's lease for my own property with minor changes because it covered everything so thoroughly. Long review, but I hope it provides another perspective on the issues brought up in other reviews. I've rented locally from Nancy Chandler and another smaller property group and would choose Leland over them any time.

Leland has been great to work with. My fiancé and I have been renting from them now for 2 1/2 years and would have continued renting the property if we hadn't bought a house. We have had nothing but a great experience with all of the employees. Danielle and Chelsea were awesome. They were always on top of issues we've had (roof leak, ac trouble, locked out) and had things scheduled and fixed in a timely manner. We have nothing but good things to say about them and would definitely refer anyone to them.

Jonathan has been our property manager for almost a year and I have only good things to say. We were stationed overseas and had a different company as the property manager for our house and it was not working out between frequent tenant turning and crazy leasing fees. My husband and I are in the military and have to move often. We own and house in Virginia Beach and Jonathan Goldman is our property manager. Our house has had multiple issues that Jon has quickly addressed and taken care of. One example is when our air conditioning failed in July and the home warranty company was unable to respond before the weekend; Leeland Real Estate installed a temporary window unit to keep the renters comfortable in the heat. With our unpredictable hours, we would not have been able to work out an acceptable solution in that time. We have such a peace of mind knowing that Jon is taking care of our house.

It took us over a year to sell our first house so when it came time to sell our second house we knew we wanted a great realtor. Jonathan was amazing! Sold our house in two weeks! He made the whole thing a really easy process. He was even better helping us find our third house. Jonathan really listened to us and really looked for what would be best for us and our kids. I rent out my condo in Virginia Beach. I had a couple major maintenance issues myself and went through a few different people before I found someone that repaired the work correctly. A relatively small repair ended up costing a lot of money. I decided it was time to look for a property manager and found Leland Real Estate. Having a property manager has helped with the stress of being a landlord – whether it be the finer nuances regarding the rental legalities in Virginia Beach or just knowing I have a dependable group of people to rely on when maintenance issues occur. As an example of the most recent event that occurred, the HVAC unit was faulting out at my home. I was informed by Leland that the tenant had put in a maintenance order – Leland gave me a couple of options and asked how I would like to proceed. The HVAC unit was fixed quickly, and I didn’t have to attempt to manage a repair remotely.

With being in the military and having an unpredictable schedule it was imperative for me to find a proactive and professional agent that actually listened to wait I was interested in and what my budget was. Jonathan Goldman was just that. His knowledge of the local area and the various housing markets was incredible. During the searching process Jonathan consistently provided me with quality homes to look at. He also provided feedback on houses that I saw and sent to him. Time after time and house after house he was able to answer every question I had and if he didn't know the answer right then he would find out and let me know in a timely manner. Once I found the house I wanted Jonathan's expertise in negotiating based upon local real estate value helped me get the house into my budget. The most impressive part of the entire process was after a contract was signed. I had deployed and things with the house took some odd twists and turns due to the appraisal and the seller being uncooperative. Jonathan worked tirelessly to fix the situation and took care of every issue. Upon my return things had been sorted out and we were ready to close. Though I did not go into a lot of detail about the issues that arose I will just say that it could have been a nightmare had I not had Jonathan as my agent. I would recommend him to anyone in the Hampton Roads area. Don't mistake his youth as inexperience. He knows more about the area and cares more about his costumers than anyone I have ever dealt with.

I like how the office is set up with historical art. Staff is always considerate of the tenants. I just moved into their updated apartment on Peachtree, everything is good but the Walls in that apartment is Very thin, could hear everything next door and that's not good for almost $1200 Rent.
