Reviews of The Laurel Apartments

I recently moved into The Laurel in January. My mom moved into the Laurel first, and I fell in love with the place visiting her so decided to move in myself! The staff in the office are always on top of everything, Constantly sending out emails letting us know anything and everything that is going on. Of course the parking isn’t great, it’s a tight fit but we are downtown and all parking is like that here. The outdoor area is awesome, with grills, fire pits, games, and a little pool. A community room with drinks, snacks, and ice! As in any apartment there are going to be rude people, and nasty people. Luckily we do have a cleaning crew here almost daily and this place is really clean. The building is secure (need a key fob at almost every single door, and your apartment door automatically locks!) and there is security here most days. I’ve lived in other buildings downtown, and i’ve never felt safe like i do here at The Laurel. I would recommend living here 100% and i will be renewing my lease!

I LOVE living here! The apartment itself is beautiful and full of natural light. We seldom have maintenance issues with anything in our unit because it is newly renovated. When we do require maintenance help they come right away. The ladies in the leasing office are incredibly helpful. They send us information on the building as well as events all over the city. They host an annual summer party by the pool that is always a blast! Last Halloween they provided free tickets to the huge Ballpark village festivities. The Laurel is a great community to live in.

I enjoy The Laurel Apartments!! Management Team is GREAT!! I love downtown and the amenities that comes along with it!! Nice and safe with the garage parking . The Laurels offer an exercise room and so many wonderful attributes!! I have been here for 3 years and I would recommend to check it out and ask for a tour!! You will love it!!

My wife and I have been here for 2 years now, and have renewed for year 3. The apartments themselves are spacious, move-in was a painless experience, rent is very reasonable for the area, and the building is always clean. Maintenance requests are completed quickly (even at the peak of pandemic!), and the staff has always been very kind & pleasant.
The parking spaces are small & may take some getting used to due to the number of pillars in the on-site garage, but overall, this is a wonderful place to stay.

The leasing office is very helpful and got back to me very quickly and was able to get approved within a day. The building is very secure requiring a key fob to get in the building and past the lobby, which is a good thing since it’s right in the downtown area. All packages go into a locked package room which is great for when I’m out of town and can’t pick up my packages right away. It’s in a great location and within walking distance of a lot of places. It’s a quiet building, the walls are thick and I never hear my neighbors. The outdoor patio area is very nice and the grills are nice to have in the summertime. The parking garage is tight, but I’ve never been to a parking garage that isn’t. The only thing is I wish the gym had a squat rack, other than that I have no complaints.

Mostly good things to say! Spent 3 years here, so must have been good, overall! The facilities are really solid. Frequently use the coffee, gym, lounge, atrium courtyard. Doorman was the best, though he’ll have to be replaced after leaving. Awesome views & windows, pretty clean, responsive with maintenance. Living downtown is fun in the summer, but less ideal in the winter. Overall, the quality for the price is top notch!! Drawbacks are the tight quarters & fairly expensive parking (but worth it for safety) and long walk from apartment to elevators (which are sometimes down for maintenance). As with any big complexes, some neighbors are great and others less so. On balance, I would recommend the laurel to anyone!

The Laurel has been a great place to call home for almost 2 years. After living in the burbs my entire life, I wanted something low maintenance and close to the office. The atrium and proximity to the Gateway Arch leave me satisfied with outdoor space and greenery. From the office staff to the maintenance team, everyone is responsive and inviting.

Great place to live, nice area. You need a fob to get in the building and past the lobby. The people in the leasing office are so helpful, it took all of 12 hours to get a call saying I was approved. Lots of places in walking distance and the building has nice amenities. Trust me, this place gives downtown living a whole new standard.

Extremely knowledgeable and helpful staff. I relocated from the western part of the states. They responded quickly to emails, answering any concerns and questions. Extraordinarily reliable, consistent and friendly. By far the best renters experience I've had so far. Hats off to Nick, Britt, Barbie. Thanks for making this experience feel like home and an amazing choice!

With great customer service from the on-site staffers like Barbie and Nik, the Laurel Apartments are convenient and welcoming. The rooms are neat, clean and easy to live in. A few of the extras included are bbq grills, a wading pool, a billiards table, and a 24/7 snack service. Awesome place!

The Laurel Apartment Building is extremely safe, clean, conveniently located, and luxuriously appealing. I was very impressed on my first visit.
As a new resident, compared to other apartments, the Laurel is ranked the highest. As for safety, the front door is always locked. The new intercom system enables you to grant access from your cellular device by allowing you to speak directly to the visitor. The door man is always offering to help and stand guard of personnel traveling in and out of the apartment. Oversized mail packages are locked and available around the clock. No matter what you will always be able to retrieve your packages.
The front office is managed by an outstanding staff. They are the best when it comes to communicating with residents. They communicate with daily emails to ensure the residents are abreast with the latest and greatest announcements. Work order request? No worries! The maintenance crew is the best when it comes to completing work orders in a timely manner. Very professional. The garage is secured from the entrance to the elevator and equipped with a car washing station. Located near the interstate gives you access to the highway in no time!
Overall, on the scale 1/10, I'd rate the Laurel a 10! I made the right choice. I certainly look forward to my stay!

I researched a long time for the best priced/reviewed apartments in St. Louis, & The Laurel was the best choice by far; its one of the best reviewed apartment communities in St. Louis especially for the price range. Miranda and the team are great, I believe Miranda has lived in the building for the last 10ish years, and you will be extremely hard pressed to find an apartment complex in St. Louis that has had management stay in their buildings at all, much less live there for a period of time. There are some nice looking apartments in St. Louis, but with horrible management companies that hike prices, don't fix anything, let their buildings get run down, do nothing to help the safety issues, and overall let everything run very downhill and you won't find out until you start living there. Thankfully The Laurel is the opposite of all those things. It's in an extremely safe location, it borders with Embassy Suites, there is a desk guard, the garage is indoor and key card required, Parkade app runs the garage and its super helpful to have friends find parking in downtown for very reasonable prices. You get a coupon card on move-in that gives you discounts on all the nice restaurants literally across the street. It's a fantastic location in downtown, next to all the good food, movie theater, stadiums, half mile from the arch, grocery shops, Redbox, everything. The in-building gym is decent (I love that they have a cable machine but I will still beg for a recumbent bike machine and bench press rack), the shared apartment patio area is very nice with pool, lights, chairs, and grills. My room is fantastic size with great design and clean appliances, my terrace is huge. The power is normally extremely low compared to other places I've lived in St. Louis ($30/month vs. $90+ per month) but with the heat wave we've been having it's more like $50/month now. I love the lobby, the coffee machine, the game room, the snacks, the hallways, the staff has always been really nice, the Luxer package room is a great addition, my packages and mail are safe and easy to find. Best place you will ever find in Downtown or in a 30min radius of Missouri side of St. Louis. I'm always someone that tries to spend as less money as possible but this is the best money I've spent on a place to live and I've lived in 5 places in/out of state over the last 7 years

My husband and I have been here for almost a year now and I have enjoyed our time at The Laurel so we have renewed for another year. We moved to the area for school and our move-in was seamless. The only con I have is the parking, but you get use to it. I do like that it is a private garage (aside from the valet) compared to street parking or a public garage. The building is clean, I can barely hear my neighbors which is great. I have met some nice people through our neighbor app and most of the people I have ran into are friendly as well. Maintenace is quick and Raphael does an amazing job. The office staff is pretty responsive as well. There's always hot water, no pest problem, and the appliances work great. Overall, this is a great property.

The Laurel has been a welcome change from owning a home. The Laurel management team is very professional and handled everything. We enjoy an excellent view of the city, close walking distance to Arch grounds, Busch stadium, trendy bars, fine dining and easy access to other St. Louis favorites like Central West End and The Grove. Taylor made our move in experience wonderful-so efficient and easy- we would highly recommend the Laurel to anyone who wants to experience upscale city living!

I chose this place because of the location and the amenities and 6 months in, I'm glad I did! The Laurel is the best place to live in downtown St. Louis. They have a great variety of floor plans, with some apartments facing the bustling city scape and some apartments facing the quieter inner core. The public areas (gym, patio/pool area, community room, lobby) are well maintained and clean and ALL of the staff members are fantastic. Best of all, you'll feel safe and secure here - there is security on-site all night and the parking garage is climate controlled and secured. The Laurel really is a great place to live!

The Laurel is a wonderful place for downtown St. Louis living. My apartment is spacious and clean. Everyone is friendly and welcoming, both residents and everyone who works to make the Laurel a great apartment building. The staff does a great job in taking care of any little problems that arise--but there aren't many problems in the first place! With Sugarfire in the building, a movie theater across the street, and everything else on Wash Ave. so close, it's a perfect place to live for anyone whose life revolves around downtown St. Louis. I looked at several places in downtown before realizing that the Laurel was clearly the best option, and I heartily recommend it.

My husband and I have lived at the Laurel since February. We knew we wanted to live downtown and we love the location of the Laurel. There are several restaurants and bars near by and the Arch and the Cardinal Stadium are both in walking distance. The management at the Laurel are great and always hosts events for the residents. The apartments are very clean and I never hear my neighbors. They also have a nice dog park in the atrium which is convenient. The residents all seem like young professionals. I would definitely recommend these apartments for any young professionals wanting to experience downtown living in STL.

Having lived at the Laurel for almost a year, after living at another property downtown, I can't begin to describe the wonderful experience it has been. From the super friendly and helpful staff, to the beautiful building, to the community of residents, the Laurel is an oasis in downtown St. Louis and worth every penny. I had lived in another high rise for a year and the difference in my quality of life has been immeasurable. Even though I had been surrounded by a lot of people, I never got to know people in my building or felt a sense of community. The Laurel is completely different. I immediately made friends and look forward every day to coming home. In addition, the location is perfect and a short, easy walk to everywhere you want to be. I can't recommend highly enough.

This is an amazing place. I have lived in the Laurel apartment for almost 3 years and I love it here. The neighbors are really friendly and welcoming. The staff are friendly and welcoming as well. Hannah, Nicole and Miranda try their best to create events that allow you to meet other residents in the community. They also host fun events like trivia night, social gather, etc. If you have a dogs, the Laurel is dog friendly with a dog park inside the building, which makes it easy to bring your dog out late night. This place has a great location. And there are bars and restaurant walking distance. And for the baseball fans the stadium is like 4 blocks away. I love living in the Laurel apartments and it is a welcoming and nice community to live in.
Lexi Smith
Beautiful apartment building with great amenities and a nice community feel. The courtyard is great for cooking out, reading and socializing with neighbors and is one my my favorites features of The Laurel.
The staff is great - very helpful and responsive to all needs and inquiries - and consistently organizes activities for residents to attend.
The location is perfectly set in downtown St. Louis. I can park my car on Friday afternoon and not have to use it again until Monday morning. Walking distance to the grocery store, bars, attractions, restaurants, etc.
Overall The Laurel is great for someone wanting to experience what upscale, downtown life has to offer!
Meghan Fox
I absolutely love living here - going on 3 years. My apartment is beautiful and had everything on my wish list - laundry in unit, gas stove, walk-in closet, etc. The community spaces are great too and include a wading pool and gym. The apartments are in a perfect location downtown where pretty much everything is within a walkable distance. The staff is wonderful. They are friendly and do their best to build the community. They all know me by name and do their best to accommodate me with anything I may need. I definitely recommend the Laurel.

I moved into The Laurel about two weeks ago and so far everything has been fantastic!
The complex and the atrium are absolutely beautiful! The workout room and community lounge are a welcome amenity. The surrounding area is safe. Grocery stores, restaurants, the public library, and much more are all within walking distance.
Lastly, the staff are all incredibly kind and are very communicative and accessible. Periodically they will put together events at the Laurel or in the city for residents to meet each other and hang out. It's a nice touch of community!

I truly enjoy living at the Laurel. I have lived in here for about a year and have just renewed my lease for another year. I looked at several apartments in the downtown area and I would say the Laurel is nicer, seems more upscale, and has more amenities but for the same price. It's in a great location, on the same block as a MetroLink stop and close to several restaurants, many just across the street.
The staff is friendly and readily available. The building is beautiful inside and out. High quality construction and materials both in public areas and in units. Plus the public areas are always kept cleaned. There are a lot of great amenities too such as package acceptance, a courtyard with grills, a community room, and a gym. The gym is large enough with plenty of machines and weights, allowing you to not need a gym membership elsewhere.
I especially like that the Laurel hosts a happy hour about once a month either in the apartment or at a nearby bar. I was new to the St Louis area when I first moved in so it's a great way to meet people while enjoying free drinks and food.
I would definitely recommend the Laurel to anyone wanting to live downtown.

Moving to the Laurel has been such a wondering experience. There are so much different things to love about the Laurel. The office staff responds in a timely manner, and go up and beyond to make you feel like a priority. The neighbors are friendly, respectful, and truly pleasant to be around. The apartments are spacious, clean, updated, and bright. The floor to wall windows are breathtaking. The patio also has great community grills, that are easy to access. Overall the Laurel has been a wonderful place. I highly recommend that looking at them. You'll instantly fall in love.

I absolutely love the Laurel Apartments. This is definitely the best option for downtown living with the top-notch amenities and staff. They really care about their residents and are always willing to bend over backwards to help out in any situation. It is safe, clean, accommodating and really feels like home right in the middle of the city!! We are so lucky to have such an awesome home with a secure outdoor atrium, dog park, community grills, a gym and the greatest doorman, Raphael, in the world! The best part is during Cardinals season and being able to walk to a game in 15 minutes. You'll love it here, so check it out! Thank you, Laurel Apartment!

We have loved living at the Laurel. We needed a temporary, unfurnished apartment while house searching in St. Louis, and the Laurel has fit the need perfectly. The staff is friendly, the common areas are very clean, Raphael is an awesome concierge, and all of the amenities are great. We have a small dog and she has gotten used to downtown living. All of the neighbors are very friendly, yet we feel we have plenty of privacy and there are no noise problems. We will miss living here!
Nicole Schomburger
The Laurel has been amazing! The whole building is beautiful and being located right downtown is incredibly convenient.
-The rooms are spacious, clean and modern
-The outdoor area allows for all types of social gatherings
-The gym has plenty of equipment for multiple people to use at a time
-It's extremely pet friendly
-Even though the rooms are right next to each other I have never been bothered by noise of a neighbor
-Management is so nice and very helpful! They keep in constant contact with you and also set up fun social mixers to help the tenants get to know each other.
-You get more than what you pay for
Best apartment I've ever lived in.

I love living in the Laurel.
I have lived here for 4 years and have enjoyed every minute of it. The staff is amazing and very friendly. The facilities are always kept up very well and the voice of the tenants are always heard and assessed. With monthly events, living here really feels like a warm community. I would recommend the Laurel to anyone wanting to live downtown St. Louis.

The Laurel is a great place to live! The unit was perfectly cleaned when I moved in and all issues with the unit were resolved on move in day as well! The management here does a great job and really cares about the residents here. They host fun events and everyone is social here as well! Convenient location, with a grocery store a couple blocks away, Busch stadium a couple blocks away and lots of restaurants in the area. The management always addresses issues with the building in a quick and timely manner. Raphael is also really great at helping out all the residents with packages and ensuring people who don't belong in the building cannot get too far. They take really good care of their residents here and probably the best apartment I have ever lived in!

I just moved into The Laurel within the past week and am beyond pleased with my decision! From the cleanliness of the unit and entire building to the friendliness of the staff and residents, I've found myself going, "Yep, the reviews were SPOT on!" since moving in. I have to shout out Alex in the leasing office for being SO attentive and helpful! She always answered my questions promptly and helped make the move into my new home a very pleasant experience. I'm really looking forward to my time living at The Laurel.
Nine months update:
I'm still extremely pleased with my decision to move into The Laurel! Nothing--from the cleanliness of the building to the friendliness of the staff and fellow residents--has changed. And downtown livin' has been so convenient and fun! I love the neighboring dining options, and the resident discounts at several of the restaurants is such a bonus. It's been refreshing and "liberating," even, to walk out my front door and be able to catch happy hour with neighbors/friends, great food, and even a movie. One evening, I was able to walk on over to the Convention Center for a gala--no parking-related stress for me! I can't recommend living at The Laurel highly enough!
Nicole Sullivan
My husband and I have lived at The Laurel for about 2 years, in two different awesome units, and we love the building!
When we were transferred out here for work, we were stuck at a sub-par furnished condo for much longer than anticipated, and desperately wanted to move out. We looked at most of the major buildings downtown, and by far, the best was The Laurel.
The fabulous leasing staff, especially Nicole and Miranda, made our transition effortless, and got us into a unit right away!
The MX area benefits, being walking distance to a movie theatre, multiple restaurants, the convention center, and two stadiums are really great, and who wouldn't love to be able order Room Service on a regular basis (The Embassy Suites delivers!)?
The building is extremely safe, Rafael the night doorman is lovely and helpful, the garage is temperature controlled (which is AMAZING in the winter), the gym is easy to access, and the outside community area and grills are a really nice amenity.
The only things I'd comment on are the fact that the wading pool is a good idea in theory, but would be better as an actual pool. The dog park is a really safe and wonderful area, but the rules, in my opinion, are a little too strict.
I HIGHLY recommend the building to anyone looking for luxury downtown living! I will absolutely live here as long as I live in Saint Louis!

I have been living at the Laurel Apartments for almost 2 years now and wouldn't want to live anywhere else downtown. The location is perfect- easy walk down Washington Ave for food, drinks, and entertainment! Busch Stadium is within walking distance as well as the Edward Jones Dome (right next door!). The management is extremely accommodating and friendly as well the residents. I highly recommend The Laurel for anyone interested in living a great life downtown!
Tom Coates
I've only been here a little over a month but I already know this is the best apartment I've lived in to date. The amenities and the building itself are wonderful. The location is great. There's a real community here and the Laurel's staff works hard to maintain and grow that through events like happy hours, parties, etc.
The only complaint I'd have is that the parking situation isn't the best. It's nice to have a private garage but there's not a lot of space with tight turns and multiple columns; so oftentimes, you're either having to back up or try to maneuver around if there's somebody coming the opposite way as you. There's also no guest parking so anytime you want to have folks over, you have to tell them to find another garage / lot to park at wherein they're probably paying at least $10, which can be demotivating to come by for some.
Still, I love my place here and I can honestly say it feels like home. The outdoor atrium with the couches, BBQ & fire pits, dog park, and community garden is so awesome.
I'm already expecting I'll want to renew my lease well in advance before it is up. I'd recommend The Laurel Apartments to anyone who's looking for a great, modern apartment that's as full of community as of style. It's a wonderful place to call home.

The Laurel Apartments
Pros: Extremely Clean, Great Location, Great for Pets!
Cons: parking garage is a little tight, but extremely manageable.
I moved into the Laurel last December. After deciding to have a friend move in, the staff here were more than helpful on setting us up with a new lease for a larger apartment without any trouble at all. One of the greatest things about each and every apartment is that the amenities are never-ending. Whether it be their stainless steel appliances, perfectly maintained bamboo flooring, or even their enclosed courtyard; its hard to find a complaint! As a pet owner that is constantly running in and out of the apartment, its nice to know that I only need to bring the dog down the elevator for a quick bathroom break before I continue my day!
I would recommend The Laurel to any and all! Well-priced, well-managed, and you are greeted almost every day by the most hospitable staff.
Karin Schultz
I've lived at The Laurel for over a year and a half and am still loving it! I moved to STL from out of state and wanted a safe, clean, and convenient place to live. I looked at a number of buildings around the city, but I knew as soon as I came to The Laurel that it would be home. I travel a lot for work, and truly appreciate that the office staff and the doorman, Raphael, can help take care of anything that comes up. I feel completely safe in our building, and love the double door entry from the street level. The common areas are always clean, and I'm excited for the updates to the hallways. Having a gym in the building is a big bonus to me, and I love that I can walk to Busch Stadium for games. Overall I am very happy to have chosen The Laurel as my home!
Rachel Michelle
Sad to leave The Laurel after a great year. The location was amazing. The apartment view was beautiful, overlooking most of downtown Saint Louis all the way out to North and West County! If you are looking for a place in the city, definitely give this place a shot. You will get the best of everything here. The courtyard and splash pool were a favorite for me. I never knew how helpful having a doorman after hours could be. The maintenance were always on top of things, even helping hang my curtains and change light bulbs so that I didn't have to. All of the front office staff were exceptional! You definitely feel like family in just a few days of being there. I will miss The Laurel and always remember how beautiful my apartment was, as well as the whole building.

After moving from Austin, TX to St. Louis for work, I can honestly say The Laurel is the best apartment building I've ever lived in. Located next to the Edward Jones Dome, it's conveniently located making everything downtown easily accessible. Since I work downtown, it's also provided the best commute to work as well! Great, modern building with awesome amenities both in the apartment itself and in the building. And what's unbeatable is the staff - they are excellent - very helpful, know your name, always available!
Steve
The Laurel is the best place to live in downtown St Louis hands down! We've looked at several apartment complexes and in our opinion none of them can stand up to The Laurel! The staff here is absolutely the greatest... Warm, friendly and they actually care about their tenants and go out of their way at every chance they get. We are very proud to invite friends and family here. Everyone of them tell us how classy it is and what a great view we have.
If you want a place to call "home" then this is it. Take it from us, we live here and this is our home! :-)
Rachel McGoff
The first time I saw the courtyard I fell in love with the building!! I was a bit skeptical of living downtown but after talking to Nicole, the apartment manager, I decided to stay at the laurel. Move in was super easy and even when the move in company decided to switch dates, the staff at the Laurel had no problem helping me with the issues. Every resident is very nice and I've met so many people at the gym and courtyard. The staff is very approachable and attentative, including the amazing doorman. They go above & beyond to make sure the residents are all extremely satisfied!!
6 months in and I still love it!

Brand new to the STL area and glad I moved to The Laurel, its a wonderful place to live! Can't beat having three major sports team all within walking distance, great restaurants and entertainment are in close proximity, and it's not your typical congested downtown location either. Apartment has great appliances, and floor plan. Last, the atrium and pool area is one of the best features of this building. Great place to cookout, hangout with friends, and watch your favorite game or TV show. Can't complain about the service here.
Lexi Bush
Recently moved to St. Louis and living at the laurel has been an awesome experience! The leasing staff is so helpful and so nice! They really helped me feel welcomed. They make the apartments very pet friendly which is a huge plus (dog park / everyone gets excited when they see your pets)! There is a nice gym, community room with a pool / ping pong table, and barbecues with seating outside! There is also a dip pool with tanning chains inside the pool / outside. I highly recommend this apartment complex, they make it feel like a community of people not just a business.

The Laurel is super dog friendly, with a dog area in the courtyard and paper towels at each floor to clean up after getting messy outside. The gas stove is a really nice perk in the kitchen. My apartment is spacious and has terrific views of the arch and downtown. The staff is really accommodating and despite the office closing at 5pm weekdays, there is a concierge for you to pick up packages and help you take care of anything after hours. The location feels very safe, especially being connected to the Embassy hotel. The only detraction is the small parking spaces in the garage.
Chris Kissel
We have lived at The Laurel apartments for 5 years. The staff is the best. They address your needs immediately and go out of their way to accommodate the residents. The building is exceptional. Very spacious floor plans with lots of good light and great views. The location is the best. It is within walking distance of everything downtown. I wouldn't live anywhere else in Downtown St Louis!
Terrinix Nyphona
This is a lovely apartment in a great location. I love the high ceilings and my cat loves the massive windows (aka cat-TV). The in-unit washer and dryer are a huge plus, and the rent is very competitive for the area.
Update: I'm still really enjoying this apartment. One small thing to watch out for is on days (usually weekends) when there are events happening at the America Center, navigating around the building can be very challenging. The Embassy Suites in the same building has a huge problem with people double parking at the valet drop off, so it can often be dangerous to drive in that area. This isn't The Laurel's fault, but it is something to consider when moving here.
Update August 2018: Still great. Also, they've implemented a new system for connecting with your neighbors, sending announcements, and paying your rent. I really like the new system.

We have lived at The Laurel for two years and wouldn't consider living anywhere else in St. Louis. The Laurel is centrally located downtown within close walking distance to the Cardinals and Rams stadiums (perfect residence for sports fans), Ballpark Village, great restaurants, and many family-friendly attractions (e.g., the Arch, City Museum). The building is well maintained, safe, clean, and quiet. The Laurel has a number of amenities including a doorman, 24-hour fitness center, community room with a kitchen and pool/ping pong table, and a 6th floor courtyard with grills, outdoor tables and couches, lounge chairs, wading pool, and a play area for dogs... all of which helps create a friendly and comfortable neighborhood vibe. The building is very pet friendly and Nicole and her staff go out of their way to make sure that The Laurel is a safe, clean, and comfortable place for pets as well as residents! Even more impressive than the building and the amenities is the staff. Nicole, Miranda, and the rest of the staff are outstanding and by far the best property management staff we have ever experienced. Nicole and her staff are friendly, professional, reliable, available and responsive, helpful, and knowledgeable about the downtown area and local events. They truly succeed at creating a warm and welcoming living environment. Nicole and her staff are by far what sets The Laurel apart from other St. Louis residences. We actually signed a two-year lease after our first year because of how fantastic Nicole and her staff are. If you're looking for a place to live downtown, we'd highly recommend the Laurel!

My boyfriend and I chose this building from the website and a phone call when we had to move quickly due to a job transfer! We've stayed over 3 years now and love it here. The building is nice, clean and modern. The 6th floor courtyard is our favorite place to BBQ and hang with friends. The neighbors are friendly and we've met so many great people living here.
The dog potty park in the courtyard is awesome, especially when you don't want to go down to the street level at late hours or cold nights! Most people have a dog, so you must be dog friendly :) Community room, gym, indoor secure garage parking. the lobby and hallways are always super clean. Maintenance requests on an app, and are usually completed the same day or the next. Leasing staff is amazing and always friendly and helpful. Building hosts happy hours and other events on pretty regular basis.
We've looked around at other places downtown. To be honest, you may save a small amount based on square footage and less amenities, but you can't beat the Laurel! Great downtown location, walk to the ballpark, arch and casino, safer than further down Washington, more security in this area due to convention center and hotels.

My husband and I have lived at The Laurel for a year now. We have been very impressed with everything. Everyone here is friendly, the office staff, maintenance, and the residents. The building is well maintained and always clean. The resident events are so fun. The location is exceptional, you can even hear the fireworks when Cardinals hit a home run or win the game.

The Laurel is such a great place to live! I've been living there for 2 years now & just moved in to a larger apartment. The building has a great gym, good security and is dog friendly. There is a dog park in the middle of the building so that you're safe 24 hours a day while taking your dog outside. I'd highly recommend the Laurel!

I moved into the Laurel in September 2015 after looking at no less than 10 different apartments. This was by far the best one and I'm glad I made the choice to live here.
One of the best parts about the Laurel is the staff. Nicole and her staff are so nice, friendly, and willing to try to help you out. They actually host 1-2 apartment wide events (happy hours, galas, shopping, etc.) each month which is a great way to get to know your neighbors. There's lots of young professionals but definitely some mid age and families too. I like the mix.
They have garage parking (extra) so I never felt like I had to worry about my car. I'm not a fan of how tight the parking is, but you get really good at parking very quickly. I've always felt safe living here and am very happy with the quality of my actual apartment. Floor plans vary so see what you like best, but try to get a room with big windows, they have lots of great natural light. Add that to the green-appliances/lights and you get ~$25/month electric bill. Can't beat that.
It's the perfect spot for anyone looking to be downtown. It's walking distance to a bunch of different things: grocery store, library, sports stadiums, bars, restaurants. And by walking distance, I mean 0-8 blocks. They just opened up a Sugarfire BBQ in the same building! The Laurel also has quick and easy access to all of the major highways (I-70,I-64, I-44, I-55) so the commute is easy if you don't work downtown (I don't and it takes me less time to get to work than a lot of my coworkers in the CWE).
The amenities are great. They have a good community room with TV & pool. A "pool" for sunbathing (only ~4" deep), a small gym that gets the job done, and grills/outdoor patio area which is great in the warmer months.
It's a little more than I initially wanted to spend, but well worth the quality of the apartments and the location! Overall, I love it here and would definitely recommend it as long as you are ok living downtown (which you should be)!

The BEST apartment living in downtown St. Louis! Moved in 2 months ago, and I've lived all over - from Atlanta, to Wash DC, to CO & AL and not much tops The Laurel. What I like most is my floor-plan, the community area/garden, and best of all?? this building is super CLEAN (I'm a clean-freak) all the time! People have dogs (incl me) and you can't tell. Carpet, elevators, hallways, common areas are always clean and smells great! Elevators are always working, customer service is superb, easy to pay rent online with no extra charges and I LOVE my balcony/patio. Attached to beautiful hotel, the sports arena, amazing restaurants... well, well worth it, if fits within your budget!

The Laurel has made living in downtown St. Louis a fantastic experience. The ladies in the leasing office are always so friendly and helpful, getting any issues resolved in a timely fashion. The apartments themselves are quite roomy, with a lot of space. Neat and tidy. And I have to give a shout out to the doorman, Raphael, always helping out with some of the larger packages and always with a smile on his face.
Seth Spencer
I lived in STL for 2 years, my first year was at the Laurel. My second year I moved a couple blocks away, what a mistake. The apartments are all beautiful, the building is always kept up and clean, the staff always exceeded expectations, and climate controlled parking. Best apartment I have lived in out of the past 5 apartments in 4 cities and 3 states!
Kai Bressler
I had a fantastic experience living at The Laurel. My roommate and I lived there for about a year (just recently moved into a house with other friends in St. Louis). It was an awesome first apartment after graduating from college.
There are many things I liked about The Laurel - the cleanliness and overall aesthetic of the building and units, the workout room, the friendly leasing office staff, the outdoor courtyard, and also the close proximity to my office downtown. I work downtown so it was great being able to walk to and from work everyday. That is something I will miss!
If you are looking to live in downtown St. Louis, The Laurel would definitely be the place to live. It's right on Wash Ave. and super close to a lot of good new restuarants like Porano Pasta and Sugarfire BBQ.
Jake Stantliff
I moved here last September and I have to say this is by far the most professionally managed building I have ever lived. The building is very well maintained, and not a day goes by without me seeing some form of cleaning crew here making sure the halls, common area, gym, and courtyard is impeccably maintained for everyone to enjoy. I have only had one service request in here and It was taken care of that day.
The office staff are very personable, knowledgeable and helpful. Nicole the building Manager always has a bright smile on her face and greets you like your her best friend.
One of my favorite parts of living here is the Management holds a building social with appetizers and drinks almost every month which is free for everyone to come enjoy and get to know your neighbors.
The Only way that I will be moving out of this building is if I move out of the area!!! Keep up the amazing Experience Laurel Team.

Just relocated to STL and looked at numerous apartments; by far, the Laurel is the best in my opinion - it's clean and close to eateries, the arch, as well as the highways. The apartment is spacious; the windows are huge with plenty of light. There's a nice gaming room, and a decent fitness center with view of the garden. The staff made the move-in extremely convenient and easy (moved in within 18 hours after the room tour). Maintenance is absolutely quick and professional as well.

I've lived all over the country, and the Laurel is the best apartment building I've ever lived in. Work orders are completed by the time you come home every day within a few hours of being placed, there are fun events every month for residents to attend, and the other tenants are people that I enjoy being around! It feels like a community, and the staff goes out of their way to provide residents with what we need. The location is convenient with proximity to many different restaurants, a movie theater, and the metro as well as easy access to the highway. I don't think I could live anywhere else as long as I'm renting in Saint Louis!
Virginia Woodfork
The building is modern with great amenities. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. I love living downtown with so many great restaurants and bars. I hardly leave the downtown area anymore. It's a great place to call home and you definitely get more for your money when compared to the CWE and Clayton. Would highly recommend The Laurel.
John J
If you're looking for a place to make downtown your home then The Laurel is the place!! The courtyard provides an amazing oasis in a downtown setting to entertain guests or to just make dinner on the grill. The location is within walking distance of all the major downtown attractions and residency comes with great perks and discounts to nearby dining an entertainment. After 2 years of living here, it's still truly difficult to find any negatives about this place!!
Jayson Slobodzian
Best place to live downtown! The staff and property manager are very knowledgeable and very helpful during the move in process. Unit was very clean on move in.
Building is very safe and secure, and the concierge is very helpful and makes you feel at home. 2B residential+The Laurel, you are much appreciated!
DR SAMAR
I absolutely LOVE living here! Amazing place to live! The staff is incredibly friendly, courteous, and available. The entire Laurel is clean and well kept. I highly recommend this apartment complex for anyone moving to St. Louis, you won't regret it!
Dan Kim
I lived here approximately 3 years or so. This place is the place to be. Nice urban garden on the 6th floor with water fountain over a pool with multiple grills allow you to enjoy a little serenity in the middle of downtown. The hollow O shaped architecture gives you a clear view of sky from the urban garden, but also blocks most of the downtown noise. That place alone is worth for anyone to consider living here. Among other things, the place is maintained professionally and jointly by the Laurel staff and Embassy Suite staff. You will see hotel maids cleaning the floor and common areas everyday around 9 to 10AM ish. Speaking of hotel service, you can order room service to your own apartment! The atmosphere sounding the Laurel community is, by far, the best I've ever experienced. The people who live there are just amazing and pleasant. They will make you feel like you are part of their family. I only left Laurel as my stay in STL seem to become more permanent than I original envisioned and it was time for me to start building equity. Otherwise, I would've stay there for a year or two longer - and there are people who've been living in there for that long as well.
Long story short, give this place a try. You won't be disappointed.
Esther Wolf
The staff at the Laurel go above and beyond in every way possible. When I first visited the Laurel I was blown away by how beautiful and how clean it was. That, alone, made me want to become a resident. The service and professionalism of Nicole and her team is the icing on the cake.
When I got a new job Nicole sent the doorman to my apartment to hand deliver a bottle of champagne to celebrate. It was so nice and thoughtful of her. I recently got engaged and Nicole and Miranda helped us celebrate with champagne and even offered to take our picture to put on Facebook so the rest of our friends at The Laurel could celebrate with us.
My car once had a flat tire and maintenance brought an air compressor to help me out. The maintenance guys are ON TOP OF THEIR GAME. If I ever have to make a service report they are there oftentimes in minutes but always before I even get home from work. It's impressive!
The staff at the Laurel are always so friendly and willing to help in WHATEVER way possible to make sure you feel at home. They throw the best socials and parties for their residents which helps build the community within the apartment.
Alex and Miranda have gone above and beyond for my fiancé and I lately and for that reason and the reasons listed above we are happy to renew our lease for another wonderful year at the Laurel!
Nick Stahlschmidt
I have been in the building for over a year, and The Laurel has met all my expectations. The place is always immaculately clean, and I am always proud to bring over friends and family to let them walk into the impressive, classy lobby. Management and maintenance are very attentive to any needs. The private outdoor space was a major selling point for me, and I like laying around the pool in the warmer months. The heated parking garage is a great feature. Lastly, the area around the building is EXPLODING! The Blues Museum opens this weekend (so pumped!) and there are now 8 restaurants within either in the building or across the street!! You can't go wrong here!!
Stephanie Snow
I moved here from Chicago and the Laurel Apts is the perfect place for a transplant like me. The management and maintenance teams are friendly and responsive; the apartment units are modern, clean, full of light, and cozy; and the amenities (gym, bbq pits, dog park, entertainment room) are excellent. I think it is a perfect spot for a downtown-working professional.
Fernando Valverde
I love The Laurel. It is surrounded by great locations to hang out. It is walking distance from Ball Park Village, The Landing and many great restaurants.
The staff is very nice and friendly, and are constantly doing activities for all the residents. From BBQ to wine and cheese.
It has a full packed gym and a great outdoor area with BBQ, TV and dog park.
I highly recommend living here
Joe Conway
The Laurel is a great apartment complex. The neighborhood is great; there is a variety of restaurants and bars. It is blocks from the Arch. The apartments are very convenient to the Convention Center Metrolink Station and close to the 8th and Pine station. Schnucks Market is also within walking distance.
The staff is great to work with and always helpful and communicative. The amenities are great as well. There is a wading pool and an area with grills. There is a laundry service for building residence, which makes doing dry cleaning very convenient and easy.
This is a great place to live if you are looking for an apartment in the heart of downtown St. Louis!
Thomas O'Malley
I got transferred to St. Louis and had only a couple days to secure a place to live. From the moment my wife and I walked into the leasing office, we knew this was the place we wanted to be. The staff is great (especially the doorman Raphael!), the building is always clean and fellow residents are kind and respectful. The amenities are top-notch (gym, common room, outdoor atrium). The location is extremely convenient as well. You are walking distance to the Arch, Busch Stadium and Kiener Plaza. 5/5!
Robert Wesley
The office managers are so accommodating and friendly. They live in the building, but that should only add to one's own confidence in making the decision to live here. I rarely run into the managers and when I do, we don't talk about business. Normally it's just a greeting and we both go on our way.
Raphael, the doorman, acknowledges everyone coming and going. I had nothing but positive interactions with him.
A new dog walk/park was built just outside of the building with brand new turf. Plenty of bags are supplied and there's a new security camera dedicated for just this new little park.
Temporary street parking can be a challenge, but that's to be expected with downtown living next to a hotel and a convention center.
For the square footage, discount perks, and amenities for this price... it's tough to beat in downtown. Much of St. Louis is just a short walk away or ride on the Metrolink.
I initially picked The Laurel because it was the only apartment building in the greater St. Louis area with a solid 5-star average review.
Nate Ponder
I lived in the Laurel for a year and just recently moved out. I would have gladly stayed if not for transferring to a new work location. The apartments are luxurious, modern, and in a fantastic location. Located on the corner of Washington Ave. and 7th St., you are within walking distance to nearly everything in the heart of downtown - restaurants, in any price range, ethnicity, and style, the landing, Busch Stadium/Ballpark Village, the Edward Jones Dome, everything along Wash. Ave. and the nearby streets, the City Museum, and much more. Perhaps most importantly, the management and staff are incredibly friendly and outgoing. I've lived in apartments that had the potential to be great, but were made miserable by the staff - The Laurel is the opposite - Nicole, the manager, is extremely friendly and was always willing to go above and beyond to help in any way she can. The same goes for Miranda, one of the leasing professionals (as well as the others most likely, I just had limited interaction with them). In the very few times I needed maintenance for something, they were always timely and solved the issue quite fast. The apartments themselves are spacious and modern. The appliances are very nice matching stainless steel. The apartment is split gas and electric, and the gas is paid for by the Laurel. That is one thing I will miss the most about the apartments - there was no water heater, as I assume you share a hot water supply with the Embassy Suites, so you can take a hot shower, do dishes, and run laundry and never run out of hot water (and also not pay a dime) - it may seem small, but it is a luxury I miss already. The garden area (located in an open recess on the 6th floor) is quite nice, and having multiple nice gas grills is a nice amenity, along with a tiled wading pool and sunbathing beds, canopied tables, a large outdoor TV, and a 'pet park.' There is a nice gym on site, open 24 hours, complete with everything you would expect from an amenity gym. The apartments are extremely well insulated, from both temperature and sound - between apartments and from the outside. They are much, much quieter than I could have imagined. This also kept our electric bill quite cheap (they are so well insulated, there was a number of times I cracked the window to cool off during the winter). Having the option of an enclosed access-controlled parking garage within the building was also extremely nice, and provided peace of mind over leaving my car outside - the garage is access-controlled by keyfobs, and enclosed, so your car is a comfortable temperature in the coldest of winter or the hottest summer days, no rain, etc.. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Laurel, and would gladly move back in given the chance.
Chris Farmer
I lived at The Laurel for two years and absolutely would recommend to anyone considering a move to downtown St. Louis. Nicole and her staff are prompt, courteous, and professional. The location is convenient to Wash Ave nightlife, Busch Stadium/Ballpark Village, and the Arch. Also, the security of the building is second to none!
Patrick Flynn
If you're looking to move downtown to a great area, look no further than the Laurel! The great leasing staff makes the whole process a breeze, beautiful floor plans, and a cleaning crew who keeps the whole complex in top shape at all times. There's an outdoor patio with grills, tv, wading pool, lawn chairs, cornhole, and patio tables. Great community room adjacent to a gym with all the workout gear you need. The staff all around is great to work with and a building most of all you feel very safe, and lots of things to do around you.
It's the best apartment complex I've ever lived in and has a great community. Close walk to bars, movie theatre, the arch area, and the ballpark. Come see for yourself, you won't be disappointed!
Chris Bollinger
Overall, this is a very nice apartment complex to check out. Work orders are taken care of in a timely manner and the staff is very nice. In addition, with park improvements and additions of new resturaunts, the downtown area by the Laurel is starting to florish. The Laurel apt complex used to be known for their community involvement and connecting young professionals in the city. Although this is on the rise, I would like to see an improvement in this area.

Having grown up from suburban southern California, my dream when growing up was to live in an epic lofty apartment in a city. Back track a year when I was told my company was moving from rural Illinois to downtown St. Louis and I had to find a new apartment. My opportunity was knocking and after looking at several other buildings in the downtown area, the Laurel was not simply the best choice, but the only one. It's a beautiful facility where I have a doorman, an amazing view every morning of the city and Mississippi River, and a great building staff that puts on monthly parties at nearby restaurants for the residents. The rent is only marginally higher, but the difference is monolithic! Don't waste your time living anywhere else.
Andrew Blalock
The Laurel has been a very good place to live. The area downtown is nice and there are plenty of things around. There staff is also very attentive and very welcoming and are willing to do a lot to help your needs so all you need to do is ask.
Scott V
I did extensive research looking for an apartment downtown. I finally settled on the Laurel and I have been very pleased.
Likes: fast service/maintenance (I have only had a few concerns/issues but the problems were resolved within hours), fast elevators, secure entry/secure mail and packages, remote entry for guests, high efficiency appliances, access to fiber internet, relatively quiet (although recently I hear dogs barking all day long in the apartment next door), laminate floors except bedroom is very nice. Love the gas range gas furnace, gas is included with rent! Easy close cabinets are nice cutting down on noise both in the apartment and don't hear neighbors slamming drawers.
Dislikes: windows don't seem very efficient (west facing unit gets hot), washer/dryer are provided so I cannot use my own H/E stacking samsungs, tile in the bathroom is very porous so hard to clean, garage is very small for large vehicles but still 5 stars because it is relatively secure. Wish that the end spots could be reserved for large suvs/trucks. Apartment staff was very helpful in letting me find a spot that can fit my truck. Valet staff for the hotel use our elevators which is sometimes a pain and they drive very fast in the garage. No guest parking available. Gym is very small with minimal upper body machines or weights that are not free weights.
Crissy Dollar-Kappell
We've lived here since 2011 and can't name any complaints. Staff is great...location is supreme....the additions of the Movie theater, Sugarfire and Snarff's and the Kitchen sink restaurants have only enhanced the convenience and enjoyable food options. Close enough to walk to a Cardinal game, but now we have our own shuttle too.
If you don't have kids and enjoy a social setting and convenience, then the Laurel is the place!
Lisa M
Love my place. The huge windows let in tons of light, yet energy efficient. view. Fantastic property managers and staff. The location is perfect for a night out with friends, and it’s a short walk to the Cardinals stadium. My fire-baby, Abbey, has met many other friendly dogs, and we are thrilled to have a doggy rest area for those late night rushes.
Rachel Redmond
I've lived here a little over a year now and my apartment still feels like I'm on vacation. My room has a balcony overlooking the atrium and at night it's so great to either sit out on the balcony or stay inside and just open the windows and hear the water from the pool below. So relaxing! The floor to ceiling windows flood my apartment with natural light. Plus 2 walk in closets isn't too bad either. The staff is super friendly and helpful.
Kent Kiefer
Whether it is work, school, or life in general that draws you to living downtown St. Louis, you cannot go wrong at the Laurel. It has all the amenities of a hotel with room service, dry cleaning, a workout facility, and a highly professional staff: to the serenity of the interior court yard that turns away the city's noise for an afternoon BBQ with friends or quite time with a favored book while catching a tan. I lived there 2 years and was sad to move away...
Dion Brown
Best downtown apartment living St. Louis has to offer. The staff is so welcoming it's like a family atmosphere. Outside of my apartment, the 6th floor community area is awesome. There are plenty of gas grills, doggy park, gym, and a huge TV mounted outside for me to catch all my favorite sports. I can't imagine living anywhere else

After down sizing, from my empty nest, I started my quest for urban living. I looked at 15 apartments downtown STL, and The Laurel Apartments was the last on my list. I submitted my application the next morning after my visit.
I am EXTREMELY PLEASED with my choice. The location is PERFECT, walking distance to EVERYTHING.
The residents are friendly, as well as the staff.
I'm in my HAPPY PLACE!!!
Brandon Posk
Amassing apartment complex! The best customer service, really putting the needs of the tenant first. Very friendly. The courtyard is makes you feel like you are not downtown. Great location with food options just below and across the street. Apartments are well designed, spacious, and great for the price.
Jeffry Harrison
After living at the Laurel for over 2 years, we have loved every second of it. The cost is a littler higher than other downtown options, but the benefits are worth it. If you are looking to live in downtown St. Louis and have enough in your budget, I would highly suggest living at the Laurel.
Clifford Lawton
Best Apartment Community in Downtown STL! The Property Management Staff and Maintenance Team are top notch...and Raphael is a plus! You are extremely valued as a tenant in a building with hundreds of residents. I often refer potential tenants to this building because its safe, well-kept and perfectly located. If you are looking to move downtown STL, I highly recommend that you consider The Laurel Apartments!!!

Downtown living at it's finest. From friendly and helpful staff, to clean hallways. You really can't go wrong living here. Workout area, ping pong, billiards, wading pool, grills, even fresh mint growing for your mojito's. it's awesome! I forgot toe mention how super pet friendly this place is. My dog loves it here. She has her own potty area that helps for late nights, early mornings, or if she ever gets an upset tummy.
Amanda Lee
Living here has been a wonderful experience; this is probably one of the highest quality, safest, and most modern apartments in the city. I've been here for two years and haven't had any issues; though the walls are probably not as thick as advertised. Maybe my neighbors and their dogs are just louder than your average resident because I hear them pretty much every morning or arguing with each other at night; this isn't an issue against the apartment complex though .
Shi Chen
Had a wonderful experience touring with the leasing agent Haley, who was responsive, patient, knowledgable, and accomodating. I was shown the available units, which comes in a variety of layouts and all kept in top-shape, and I got my questions answered about the communal amenities and what the building's location has access to in terms of restaurants, entertainments, and transportations. Although I ended up leasing at another property that is closer to my work, I would recommend anyone who is looking for apartments in the downtown to check out the Laurel for what the units and the management staff have to offer.
Santo Bisuwo
One of if not the best places to live downtown! Staff is very professional, friendly, and responsive. Great if your a transplant because there are so many community events. I'd say this place is idea for young professionals, empty nesters, and anyone working downtown. Only downside would be parking garage is a tight squeeze. Especially sharing it w/ the hotel. There's old columns near each parking spot and several residents have scratched their car there. Otherwise an awesome place!
Amy Rozzi
I love living at the Laurel. It's such a great location! The office staff is incredibly nice, professional and so happy to help with anything that comes up! The dog park within the building is also a great perk!!
Kristi Horita
This is my real first home away from home, and I love it. It has everything I look for in an apartment. I couldn't imagine finding a better place to live in St. Louis.
The staff is the best. It's not just one or two people that are dependable and likable, it's actually everyone. They are just as supportive and responsive as a resident as they are during your apartment search; maybe even more so. They provide opportunities for people to get to know each other, while also maintaining everyone's privacy.
I hope this helps!

The back to back 1-Star reviews from Kyle, Robert Mills, Marie Boyd, Junior Smith, and Michael Smith are FAKE NEWS - clearly orchestrated by their friend George Betts, who used to live in this building, who BTW also wrote a bogus review in the style of Sarah Huckabee Sanders - positioning this place to be non-LGBT friendly, with a rude management staff. Etc etc.
He wrote the exact review in our FB page and deleted it immediately after other neighbors started calling them out on the comment threads about their “sketchy behaviors” and abandoning their unit with filthy conditions. But then again, I’m not here to spill some tea. Point is, there are amazing neighbors here at The Laurel, who are better judges of character. And they, along with myself, will assure you, this building is one the BEST in downtown, and the staff/service/ and community are world class!!
Now, Come live with us :)

One of the main reasons I decided to move here was the option for short term leases. I signed a 2 month lease in November and then after a few weeks I knew I found my home and signed a 11 month lease! Unfortunately by that time, my unit was already rented out so I could not extend by lease. However, Alex helped me find a new unit and was just lovely. I work late most days and she was always accommodating and made my transition as easy as can be. Overall the the building is nice and quiet, everyone is very friendly and to date I have had no issues. As other tenants have measured, the only thing to watch out for is if you park in the garage. It is a little tricky but just take it slow and you'll get used to it.
Courtney Hunter
This has been a great place to live. I'm walking distance to great restaurants and bars, the accommodations are great (gym, community room, dog park) and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I travel a lot for work and not home often, but they've been very helpful with packages and work order completion. Overall, a great place to live!
Melissa Dunn
I love living at the Laurel! Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I always feel welcome. Also, the Indoor dog park is super convenient for anyone who owns a dog.
Moon Kim
I relocated from out of state for a new job and the staff has been exceptional. The Laurel is within walking distance of great restaurants and entertainment so there's always something to do. I can even walk to my doctor. It's crazy how accessible this location is.
My only complaint is that the parking garage is too small. Aside from that minor detail, I've enjoyed my time here.
Lizzie Stosberg
Overall it has been a joy living here. The staff is excellent, timely, and friendly, and the building is located conveniently in the downtown area! The apartments are nice, newer, and the perfect size depending on how many people per place. You are definitely getting your money's worth!
Andrea Weed
This is hands down the best-managed apartment building I've ever lived in. You really can't beat the apartment and community amenities. Maintenance is quick, everyone is super friendly, and there's a real community feel, which is not the norm for downtown St. Louis living.
Marissa Herzog
The Laurel is great! I moved here from Seattle and was unable to walk through the units before moving in. The management provided me with video walk throughs and answered every question I had.
What you see in the photos is absolutely what you get. Everything is up to date and very well kept.
Don Fielden
I really enjoy living here. Deciding to move here was one of the best things that I ever did. It is within walking distance of the convention center, Busch Stadium, the Arch, Scottrade Center, and casino. There is much more only a couple of miles away. All of the staff is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend moving here. I have lived here almost two years now. I highly recommend it.
Tesia Ogletree
This is the first apartment I've ever lived in, and I must say I wish I could my apartment as a condo. The apartments are very nice and spacious and come with so many amenities. It's very conveniently located downtown. And the leasing staff are awesome.
Kelly Tomaszewski
The location is great, short walk to the arch and Ball Park Village as well as some good eats! Beautiful community area with grills, a wading pool and a dog park which is super convenient! The apartments are spacious and modern with an awesome maintenance team. The managers and staff are very friendly as well!
Sara Koppenaal
The Laurel is the best place to live in the city. It has great accommodations and the perfect location! I love living here and would highly recommend it to anyone.

I've been living here about 6 months, and I have no complaints. The staff is really friendly, it's a 2 minute walk from the metro and a plethora of restaurants, you get free popcorn at the movie theater across the street, there's a beautiful garden with a wading pool and grills, and the single repair we needed was completed efficiently. Highly recommend.
Bart Zienda
If you're new to St. Louis and are looking for a great place to live downtown, look no further than The Laurel. It is affordable, top quality, and convenient - plus, the staff is super helpful and friendly!
Daniel Evans
Great location, unique floor plans and some great views. Lots of restaurants and nightlife around. Movie theatre across the street. Great sun deck and garden in center of the building for barbecues, entertaining or laying out. The staff is excellent and does a great job of taking care of any issues.
Barry Sleckman
I have lived at the Laurel for two years. It is a wonderful building with great apartments with many unique features and amenities and a fantastic staff that takes care of everything.
Blake Draper
We recently moved in and it’s been great! The staff is incredibly friendly and quick to help. Any time I put in a maintenance request it’s answered same day. The location is also great because the freeway is just around the corner. The only thing that’s been a bit of an adjustment is the parking garage, it is very cramped and takes a lot of practice to get used to navigating.
Alyssa Gonzales
Great location. Always clean. Staff is always willing to help and answer all questions. Work orders are taken care of in a small amount of time. You also get special discounts at nearby restaurants and the Embassy Suites just for living in the building.
Teresa Zablah
I love living at the Laurel! I have lived in St. Louis for about 10 months and I can say that it is the best apartment building downtown by far.
Mai B
Recently moved into the Laurel. Very happy with my decision. Close to my office and my downtown favorites. Love my view and Miranda was super helpful with my move in process.
Tony Wade
Yearly renovations, great office staff, reasonable rent for the apartment qualities and amenities in the building. Only utility is electric too!
Marceau Merchat
The Laurel has been great to live at. Staff are always responsive and the building is located near a lot of things to do in the city.
Lillian Chik, Mun Shin
This is a great places. I have live there for 17 months and I love it. There is a nice gardens and they have community activities that helps residents to meet each other. The building it is really nice and clean and the staff are very polite. I 100% recommend this place.
James Jackson
The laurels are very nice and quiet! I've been here for a little over a year and have had nothing but the best experience, great location for restaurants, bars and clubs, i would recommend these lofts before any others!

The Laurel offers exactly what they say they do: a beautiful environment in the heart of downtown. I would strongly recommend checking the units out if you're looking to move.

The location is perfect. Walkable to night life but not in the middle of the noise. Right on top of the metro. And can't beat the commute to Sugarfire.

This review is for the entire staff at The Laurel. About 1 month ago, I was offered a position to relocate to St. Louis from San Francisco. Because I knew there would be a short turn around time to move once an offer was presented, I started looking in to apartments early on. To be completely honest, I didn't even see The Laurel on most ads and never really even had my eye on it, until one day, for some odd reason, it came up on a search through Google under "people also viewed this apartment." I saw the amazing reviews and high ratings, so I did a bit of research and called the leasing office. This is when my amazing journey began. Nichole, their leading manager answered the phone, and she and I for some odd reason talked as if we had known each other for years. She was so pleasant and friendly, and was seriously SUPER EFFICIENT in finding me the right room and accommodations at the building. I told her that to be honest, I had my mind set and were also looking in to other places, so The Laurel wasn't quite set in stone yet. She didn't budge at that idea. 2 days later, I had NOT heard back from the other places I looked in to (either email or phone calls) and meanwhile . . . . Nichole had been emailing me options of available units - even sending me pictures and videos and full descriptions of the place. At that point I knew Nichole was the kind of property manager I would RATHER deal with, and not the 6 others from the other apartment properties, whom, except for one other, never returned my calls. I mean really????
After sending in my application, it took literally 3 days to finish and secure my place and that is when Alex stepped in the picture. I told both ladies that my move in date was not until June 10th (tomorrow) and that I will most likely do EVERYTHING remotely - from having my furnishings shipped there, to my car, to my home office equipment, to basically my whole life. And let me tell you . . . . THESE LADIES DELIVERED!!!! Until through today, my entire life here in San Francisco was transported to St. Louis, and these ladies made that whole transition so easy, and I had nothing but confidence and peace of mind that they will do everything to accommodate. They did all this vis phone and email, FYI!!!
I met Alex and Miranda, also in the Leasing Management, for a hot quick second for a business trip out there last week as I had to pick up my work phone shipped to my apt. and they are as sweet and super gorgeous in person as they are via email and phone.
THE LAUREL IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!! You guys . . . . believe the hype on these reviews. I am so glad I came across this building and this awesome set of Property Managers. Shout out again to Nichole, Alex and Miranda. I'm excited to be the newest resident here. I am already telling all my friends in San Francisco to have a mass Exodus and move out to St. Louis in to The Laurel. LOL
