Joe Bobnick was an incredible agent for me as a first-time home buyer. He offered his knowledgeable expertise (as I have very little handiness skill) and always pointed out things that I would want to know before putting in an offer (like foundation issues, mold, and general lack of maintenance). Without Joe, I don't think I would have purchased a home this year--he steered me in the right direction while also taking into account my strong preference for an old home with the original character intact. My search took 7 months from contacting Garcia to closing and we looked at every house I was interested in. Joe was incredibly patient and still showed me houses even when he knew they probably wouldn't be the right house for me (for which I am appreciative of--I'm definitely a visual learner!). We absolutely loved working with Arin Webber on our first home purchase! She was incredibly patient with us and helped us understand the true ins and outs of the whole home buying process. She introduced us to neighborhoods that we have ended up loving and exploring, even if we couldn't move into all of them. Just wanted to say that working with Kelsey Snell at Garcia Properties was a great experience. We recently listed our house for sale with Garcia Properties and Kelsey was our agent. We have never had to sell a house before and weren't sure what to expect. Kelsey did a fantastic job of explaining how the process works and what to expect. Aileen Garcia has been amazing. We have used her to buy 2 homes and sell one. Throughout it all She has been super patient with us and the calm we needed when unforeseen obstacles came up, and there were several. Also, working with someone who is part of a larger realty group has its advantages. When we had last minute snags on the actual close of our home, and I mean like 4 days before closing, Aileen and several people from her team, including in-house lawyers, put other things on hold to help get the problems addressed quickly and close the deal. And her connections are invaluable! In order for the sale of our home to go through we had to address a fence issue and she was able to use her contacts to get strings pulled, and we got the fence fixed the next day! Aileen is not just your typical ‘run of the mill’ realtor. You can tell she has a lot of experience in her field and knows what to look for in a home when purchasing and selling. Even when we were in the searching phase, she told us her real opinions and not just what we wanted to hear (just to make the sale). Background: there was a house we liked on a street we absolutely loved, but we would have ended up underwater with all the work it needed and come to find out the house was later condemned! Another example of Aileen going above and beyond: when selling our home, she came through and spent 2 hours out of her day to offer suggestions for staging our house; she was better than the actual professional who came in! Aileen was always available to answer all of our questions and spent many hours late at night helping alleviate concerns on both the buying and selling end. She has surpassed her realtor “duties” in more ways than one, and on top of it all, she always tried to have a positive attitude. She has a really sweet personality, (like leaving little baked goods on your doorstep during the holidays), and will work with you to help you find your dream home.

Mollie Bliss was a huge help as we both looked for new housing and sold our existing home. Her knowledge of the industry and St Louis is amazing. She helped us develop a detailed strategy for selling our existing home (from pricing to timing to staging). She also helped us greatly learn about the areas we were interested in moving towards and evaluating the properties available in those neighborhoods. Aside from her knowledge and expertise, what I valued most was her willingness to listen to our needs/wants and find us something that fit perfectly. Working with Anna Garcia was an amazing experience, and she made the whole home buying process a joy! We were first time homebuyers, and we worked with Anna over the course of two years, as we were adopting and not ready to buy until we placed. She continued showing us houses throughout this time even when she knew we wouldn't actually be interested in the specific house, just so we had experience when it was showtime. Anna was fantastic at walking us through a house and talking about all the ways we could use it over the years with our family (we told her that we wanted to buy a house to die in and wouldn't likely be moving again), and she always kept our budget and "must haves" in mind, narrowing the search when asked. She sent us periodic emails about current listings, as well as what properties ended up selling at in the end, which was helpful later when it came time to put in an actual offer. She had great knowledge of the area, her knowledge of a home's construction and home/mortgage buying process saved us a lot of money in the short and long term, and all this made us feel confident in her advice when we put in an offer. She was always willing to hop on a video or phone call and even helped us with the details of getting our home insurance! Since moving in she helped us contact the seller about some electrical issues which were fixed free of charge, and we've also appreciated her market watch and other pertinent information emails. We've already recommended her twice, and would not consider using anyone else should we buy again!

I rented from Garcia Property and had an incredible experience! They made viewing the apartment a breeze and I was moved in within a week! Given the apartment was built in the 30’s, there were some maintenance issues, but the team resolved those problems in a timely and dedicated manner. I had issues with another tenant in the building & the office handled the situation with compassion, professionalism, and they kept me informed throughout the process. Their response time was always within 24 hours, but it was rare for them to take more than an hour to get back to me. The rent was reasonably priced and the people on their team were some of the kindest people you’ll meet! I highly recommend renting from this company!!

As if buying a house wasn't daunting enough, I had to do it from Portland, Oregon, and Todd was there for me at every juncture. My family worked with Tara Hacker at Garcia Properties. The sale of my parents' home was complicated by the fact that the lender held a reverse mortgage on the house. As the sale price of the house fell well below the balance owed on the loan, my parents were going to have to pay over $22,000 at closing. To avoid this expense, we pursued approval of a short sale. To add to the complications of this sale, the house was held in a trust (more paperwork!), and the buyer was anxious to move into the home as soon as possible, as she and her children were relying on a motel for housing. The whole process was time-consuming, requiring countless communications between mortgage holder, title companies, both realtors (ours being Tara), and myself. Numerous forms had to be completed. Closing had to be pushed back twice. Throughout this ordeal (which took over a month), Tara was amazing. She was always available to give guidance and promptly attended to brokering whatever communications or forms were needed. While weekends slowed the process as the title companies and lender had weekends off, Tara was still on the job. Tara helped us navigate the successful achievement of a short sale (saving my parents $22,000). She knew just how to handle the issue of getting the buyer into the home sooner than later (arranging a rental agreement between buyer and seller). Her advice was always spot-on when issues of conflict arose between buyer and seller and always acted in the best interests of my parents. And her patience throughout this whole process was exemplary, always pleasant and professional. I would highly recommend Tara to anyone who is in need of a diligent, hard-working realtor who will always act in her clients' best interests. Heck, I wish I had another house to sell so I could enlist her assistance again! It is a genuine pleasure working with her.

Initially I was really impressed with Garcia when finding an apartment to rent. My unit is really nicely updated and has great amenities. However, I've only been moved in a month and already had to put in my third maintenance request. The first two issues were fairly small and I will say that they were solved quickly but now I'm a little worried. Also, this isn't necessarily Garcia's fault, but I made sure to ask if this building was relatively quiet. One of the main reasons I moved was because my old building had super thin walls and ceilings and the noise was so distracting. Unfortunately, it is really easy to hear my upstairs neighbor loudly getting ready for work around 5 am. I don't know if the employee who showed me the unit either was unknowledgeable about this or may not have been fully honest but I'm disappointed (and sleepy lol). Even still, I would recommend Garcia to others. Very fair prices as compared to other companies!

We had owned a condo since 2007 and had been renting it since 2009, but she helped us get the place fixed up, staged, and ready to sell. She met with all of the various contractors and cleaners and oversaw the work, The condo had a contract for over the asking price in less than three days on the market! I rented from Garcia Properties for 3 years and I had about as great of an experience you could have renting property. The occasional small maintenance request here and there would be addressed within a couple of days, or reasonable amount of time for the request. The apartment was very clean and appliances updated. Freshly painted and floors shiny. Great neutral colors that go with a lot of different decor. The biggest thing for me was that my dog was allowed and loved it here. I rented a unit that had a fenced in backyard, and my own garage. There were a few times I was late on my rent payment by a few days and I was never charged a late fee. I never felt like Garcia Properties was out to get my money, like some other landlords I’ve had. My full deposit was returned upon moving out, and that process was very simple as well.

I had a wonderful experience buying my first home with Christy Andrews at Garcia! It's a crazy, frustrating time to be in the market for a house. I expected the process to take a few months, but I did not expect the insanity that came with the COVID housing market. After 8 months and offers on multiple homes, I finally went under contract on a home that checked off almost everything on my wishlist. I have nothing but great things to say about Garcia, especially Garcia Property Management . I rented a beautiful house from them for over a year, and they were light years beyond every other landlord or rental company I've ever rented from in STL or Chicago. The property was very well-maintained, they never once balked at any repairs we notified them about, they responded quickly to every issue we had, and their online payment portal was a cinch. When we had to exit our lease early, they worked with us, and we ended up being allowed to exit early and got our entire security deposit back. I have never in my life been given my entire security deposit back without some discussion or argument, much less if I had to exit a lease early. I also used them for a home search (shout out to Arin, who was amazing), and, again, they were A+. Helpful, friendly, listened to everything we asked for, and worked completely within our budget and guidelines. Forget all the other rental companies, go to Garcia Property Management when you are looking for a rental, and ask for Arin when you are ready to buy. Thanks, Garcia!

I was working with Jeanie to purchase a property. Jeanie was great! Then she went out on leave and recommended Dana Jones and I’m so glad she did! Dana is nothing short of amazing! She answered all of my ridiculous questions; and the things she didn’t already know, she did the research to find out. We searched high and low for our next purchase, and Dana was patient and responsive whenever I called or had questions about a listing or requested to see a property. I’ll admit, I was VERY picky. After a number of months, we found the right place and quickly got it under contract! Dana REALLY came through once under contract. We ran into a unique and unprecedented situation with my financial lender that jeopardized the purchase after negotiations and inspections had already been agreed on. Dana’s tenacity is what kept the deal on track. She kept everyone informed and updated to smooth out a VERY bumpy process with a large, reputable financial institution (that I won’t ever use again). At the end of the day, I had to switch lenders. Dana was able to help facilitate the process with the sellers and work with the new lender to ensure all the information was received in time for closing. We are super happy in our new home! Dana also helped sell my condo. The listing was perfect! It was listed in a number of places with an honest, yet enticing description. The accompanying pictures were outstanding. Dana worked to find potential buyers and after a few showings, I had a full-price offer and we’re under contract! Unfortunately, the seller backed out due to health concerns. Even with this, Dana didn’t give up. Soon after, the condo was under contract AGAIN! To sum it up, Dana worked hard on both accounts and I couldn’t ask for a better agent. I anticipate additional purchases in the future and I know Dana is the person I’ll be relying on as my agent.
