Lily was more than we had hoped for in a realtor!! The housing market in Portland is wild right now, Lily acknowledges it and perseveres through it with incredible awareness. She knows her craft, she knows her industry, she acknowledged the uncertainties and had tools for all the things that came our way. Lily educates as she goes, even when we forgot what she had told us before she had more than enough patience for us in this first time home buying experience. Lily related to our fears and offered support both emotionally and logistically so we could move forward to find the house that was right for us. Lily offered advice without any pressure and gave us space to make our own decisions. One thing that we weren't anticipating we needed but can now acknowledge was a game changer for us in working with Lily is how comfortable she is with herself. May sound a bit intimate to post in a review but because Lily is comfortable with herself she creates an environment that is truly about you and your house search. It created an atmosphere where we could focus on our house search and not worry about this relationship we were building with our realtor. I think that is true support and it's harder to come by than you'd think. The other agents also loved working with her, pretty sure she got a job offer from the selling realtor one each offer we submitted 😆 Works is lucky to have you Lily!! Lily checks all the "Great Realtor" boxes and goes way beyond that because of how much she enjoys what she does, it truly sets her apart. We are so lucky to have gotten to work with you Lily!!

Stuart at Works Real Estate in Portland was wonderful to work with for the the purchase of our first home! He is knowledgeable about the market and area and helped us do research as we made a couple of offers before finding ours. Stuart was always available to check in with us, answered any questions we had, no matter how big or small, and was always a delight. His team was also amazing and met with us at various showings when needed. He was able to help us negotiate a repair for the home covered by the seller and helped us receive a credit for another repair as well. Would definitely recommend him to anyone interested in purchasing a home :)

I originally found Rachel Smith’s profile while reading reviews on Zillow, so if you're in a similar position, look no further. The short end of this review is that if you want a deeply knowledgeable, trustworthy calls-you-back-while-on-their-honeymoon kind of agent, then Rachel is your person. We were first-time home buyers. We learned while touring homes that we have expensive taste without having a deep budget. In the end, Rachel helped us land a beautiful home we wouldn’t have thought we could afford. Our new house needs a little cosmetic love, but this is where touring homes with Rachel is so much fun. They know so much about architecture and remodeling and even, we learned, renovated their own basement into an ADU. So Rachel could tell us while viewing a home that single-paned windows put a home out of our budget or the electrical updates would cost a fortune. As first-time home buyers, we had our down payment, but not a much of a budget for remodeling. We toured maybe a dozen homes with Rachel, and we enjoyed ourselves so much that we wish we were still touring homes with them. They are just that great to be around. We spoke with a few agents, but we knew as soon as we met Rachel that they were the agent for us. They were so available, nonjudgmental, and reassuring during the daunting process of buying a home. They went way beyond our expectations during the negotiation and closing process. We learned that the right agent can do wonders. We cannot recommend them—and wonderful co-agent Aneesah—enough!

They were very responsive throughout the closing period and met us at the house a few times throughout the month so we could start measuring and planning for our move and the things we'd need to buy to get setup quickly in our new home. Agent was helpful in constructing a competitive offer and getting timely inspections. Staff helpful in tracking documents and dates. But agent at times seemed more concerned about protecting herself, unnecessarily so IMO, such that she delayed assertively representing my interests (delayed sending an amendment to the sales agreement to seller that I had asked her to send.) That delay may have cost me $50K. There were several incidents during escrow at which I was not confident agent was accurately hearing our requests and instructions.
