We’ve have been going on tours all over Az apartments and this one in Peoria was outstanding, Chris Sanchez was super helpful with finding an apartment that fits my requirements. Anytime I have a question or concern it has been taken care of quickly and efficiently.The place is also very clean, beautiful and safe environment. I would highly recommend this community.

We are new to Artessa, we have not moved in yet. However, our experience has been the best ever. The moment we walked into their office we received amazing customer service, Deja is our leasing agent and she has been there form the start walking us through every step and making everything feel so easy since moving can be so stressful. The place is beautiful and I felt in love with it the moment we drove it in. So quiet and peaceful and so much greenery. I also love that it so pet friendly and my pup will even have a dog park. I recommend Artessa 100%

I moved from out of state, I had a very short turn around of 2 weeks before starting my job. I worked with Brooklyn P. the leasing manager she was calm, knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and really went the extra mile to assist in the process; Truly a professional representative of Artessa! I also spoke with tenants who were on the property who spoke highly of the office staff, maintained department with quick turn arounds and they were friendly. The pool was clean, the hot tub was hot and clean, grounds well maintained and groomed. The actual rental clean, updated and was move in ready.

Very welcoming place, I have been going on tours at other apartments and this one in particular stood out. Chris, was our tour leader who was very kind and very knowledgeable about the facility. He made it very easy as we toured on Monday and applied and was approved by the end of the week. What can I say besides wow! The apartments are beautiful and I especially love the floor plan we chose because having the garage below the apartment means no one will be below us. Also with how close the apartment is to midwestern the price is very reasonable.

Excited to live here! Very professional staff, clean layout, great amenities, and even the option to choose your Internet provider unlike most places which force you into one. Also a very nice and spacious 1 bedroom layout for the price. Most places charge more for far less space. What I really love is how all of the buildings look like small homes and not apartment buildings and only two floors to them so no climbing flights of stairs to get to your apartment no matter where you end up. I wish more communities were like that!

The process and experience thus far has been smooth and management has been super responsive. They were able to guide us to a unit that fit our needs. The staff was great at answering questions and helping with the online renting process for signing our lease. Smoothest apartment search we have had in awhile. We sold our home recently to downsize and go back to renting, so far we are excited we made the jump to Artessa. We are looking forward to being apart of this community. The grounds are beautiful and spacious. Very well kept. The buildings present a home style feel and that was exactly what we were looking for. Overall, management made it a smooth process and stayed timely and responsive throughout!

Pros: So far we love the apartment layout, and our location is amazing! The front office staff have been kind & respectful. Neighbors seem laid back. We moved here from out of state and unit was beautiful. Cons: We still don't have a second key fob to access amenities, (front office says they are ordering more) the gate remote does not work so you have to enter a code manually. The ceiling is ultra thin. We are in a downstairs unit and our upstairs neighbor is quiet most of the time but we hear him anytime he walks through the apartment. Each unit gets assigned one covered parking spot and ours is on the end of the row. It is not covered at all. Sun hits the spot all day. The open parking is lined with little trees that spray my car with sap no matter where I park. Our apartment gets HOT. The sun shines on our front window and front door and super heats our little 1 bedroom apartment even with AC going. I am stressing out about what our electric bill will look like this summer.

I have been living here for about 8 months now. Overall, the apartments and facilities are very nice, there is no doubt about that. The pool area is beautiful, the gym which I use regularly is nice, the facilities and landscaping are very well maintained, and the apartment I live in is great. I have no complaints whatsoever about the apartment, staff, or amenities. Anytime I have made a maintenance request, the maintenance worker has come within 24 hours, often the same day. All that aside, the PROBLEM with Artessa is security and theft. Our car, which was parked in its covered parking space right outside our front door, was broken into in the middle of the night and everything inside was stolen. It was the one night I had ever left my $2000 golf clubs in the car, so it feels like someone was watching me and knew I had left them in there. I have spoken with multiple neighbors and they have also had cars broken into and things stolen off of their patios and porches. The worst part? There is not a single security camera in the entire complex, so there is nothing to stop thieves from doing this. The gates at the front of the complex are often broken and do not close at night, so anyone can come and go. I tried posting on the online resident portal to warn other people living in the complex, but Artessa never approved my post. So overall, the complex is very nice, but security and theft seems to be a major issue.

A little over priced for Apartments, but I am hoping the amenities and community will make up for that. I hope the square footage meets my expectations also. I am very particular and willing to pay a little more for luxury. The community is beautiful and the unit seems to have upgraded appliances, counter tops, etc. The staff has been helpful and very responsive. We haven't seen the unit yet, but overall super excited to take this leap of faith!

The leasing agents have all been very helpful. One of the leasing agents was extremely helpful in extending our move in date. Another leasing agent was nice enough to give us updates on our paperwork and answered the majority of our questions. The property was under some construction at the time of walking it but it wasn't bad. It's exciting to see that the additions to the property. We chose the Sedona size apartment. It looked spacious for two people and our pet dog. I'm very excited for our move in!

I had spoke to Karly on the phone and let her know that I had put a deposit on an apt. at another complex but wasn't able to see the unit a the time I filled out all the leasing paperwork but, was able to finally see the unit and hated it. I was pretty stressed and needed to find another complex to move to. Karly was so nice and professional and really eased my mind. She immediately let me know that she had a few apt.'s for me to see and just asked that I give her a 30 minute window before I headed over. When my mom and I arrived, Karly was so helpful. I absolutely fell in love with Artessa. It's a beautiful community and the grounds were so clean and well maintained. I'm so excited about my move and I thank Karly for all of her help in making me feel at ease.

With COVID-19 causing shut downs, I thought renting a new place was going to be harder than it was. I was able to see what units were available and when they were available. i was able to pick what appartment I wanted too. Applying was easy and I love that you get a response right away for approval. I was able to upload all the necessary documents needed and completed a lease online.

I really enjoy living at Artessa. I love the pool in the summer time, and they are building a new activity center currently with a bunch of fun activities. The landscape is beautiful, the apartments themselves have great curb appeal. Front office staff are polite and helpful, especially Frank! I just moved into Artessa not too long ago, and am quite pleased by how smoothly the move went. It only took me a few days to finalize the lease and then a few days after that I moved into my unit. Upon moving, I found the apartment in great condition. It seems like not many people lived here before me. I'm not sure if that is actually the case or if they had prepared the space that well. The only reason I did not give it five stars is that before signing the lease, no one had told me my application had been approved, so I had to go in person to finalize everything. Other than that, the staff is very friendly and helpful.

The experience of finding a new place so short notice before the holidays was turning into major stress but one stop at Artessa changed everything. Everyone is very nice and helpful from Karley, Chris, and specially Frank who is super cool and keeps the place fun they are all great and very friendly have been very welcoming and accommodating with our requests and needs. UPDATED REVIEW: My original review was shortly after I toured the place and decided to move in! Here is the update after one year. Our experience was quite unfortunate, as the unit we rented had an extensive leak that became a problem every time it rained. They continuously sent people to repair it, but the pesky leak would return every time. After 4 months of dealing with this problem, we expressed our grievances to Tim Prunotto, Artessa's manager. He got in contact with the owner about roof repairs and also reached out to the regional manager to get us compensated for our troubles. We were able to change units with no fees, and the new place has no problems at all. We're very happy with Tim and everyone in the office for constantly working with us the past few months. They really did everything they could to help us out, and throughout the maintenance process they were very communicative and tried to keep us as updated as possible. *** Here's my original review for reference: Frank gave us a lovely tour of Artessa, and knowledgeably answered the multitudes if questions I asked. Frank and Chris were both very communicative, and were able to give me more information both by email and phone. The apartments are very nice and well maintained. The landscaping is particularly impressive, with lots of big shady trees for walking outside. The complex is also backed up to the Skunk Creek Wash, which is a nice paved nature trail, which should be really nice for runs and bike rides! We are now looking forward to moving here in just a few weeks!

I was very impressed with the property and the staff. I called the complex and due to Covid, the office is closed for walk-ins. When I called, Chris answered and set up my apt for 15 minutes later since I was in the area. He met me at the door, gave me the information, allowed me to go look at a unit and was very informative. Such a positive person. I returned to the property with my son a different day and met Frank. Again, a very positive person, friendly and very helpful with application process. I made up my mind this is where I want to be. I viewed several complexes and although 1 other was in contention for where to live, these guys sealed my decision. Editrd to add, Kaley has had email communication with me and has been very informative. Property management is my business and I would hire these 2 gentlemen without a doubt. I believe Artessa will be a wonderful place to call home.

We worked with Frank, our leasing agent, who was very professional and genuine and was extremely helpful with the entire process. He really made the decision easy for us. I’m new to Arizona so when I was on my search for apartments I wanted an area that was close to shopping and restaurants, not only is this complex in a fantastic area but it is beautiful, the complex is very inviting and clean. I was assisted by Chris, and he was so nice and very helpful. Frank took us around the apartments and the area, and we had a great impression. The apartments looked quite nice, the dog park and easy access to the trail are good for those with pets, and the Nest thermostats are a nice touch. There was a discrepancy between the price we got in-person and the one online, but they honored the lower in-person one. We're looking forward to living here, and will keep this up-to-date with our experience.

Lived here for about 8 months and really enjoyed it. The appliances and overall layout were updated and the common areas were impressive and fun to utilize. I often rented the bicycles from the front office and went for rides along the canal, it was great. The location was great, really close to the mall but also tucked away just enough to avoid massive traffic. All of these great amenities come with a price though, it's not cheap to live here. Overall, though, I would choose to live here again if I didn't end up buying a house.

These guys are fantastic! Chris was incredibly helpful, efficient and easy to work with. Things moved a little bit quicker than I would have liked since there were so many options to see and discuss on top of a loooong day of apartment hunting, but it was still very professional and he was still very friendly! The rest of his team was also great, being able to easily answer my questions in his absence since I happened to be on a bit of time crunch since I was only in town for a few days before moving here for good at the end of the month. It showed they communicate well amongst each other. Additionally, since I'm moving in from out-of-state, they've been so helpful and flexible throughout the process, that I'm so relieved I chose to live here! The apartments are beautiful and the price they are asking for them (with all the amenities) was unbelievable! Very excited to move here and hope the friendliness and professionalism continues into our lease and time living here at Artessa!

I love living at Artessa. Great service and Beautiful grounds. My only wish is that you would provide TWO recycle bins! I often take my items to be recycled to the Benz and they're completely full. I then drive around for 2 days with it in my trunk until I finally go back and it's been emptied. Please provide two! Other than that, it's a wonderful place to live.

We recently toured Artessa and loved it! The grounds are lovely and green, all the common areas are tidy and everything feels well taken care of. Our leasing agent, Chris, was friendly, positive and knowledgable. He worked with us on a tight schedule to help us consider all our options, which we really appreciated! The only thing we've had any trouble with is the online application form. It has some kinks that need working out, but Chris has been super helpful and responsive to get everything lined up and moving forward. We are really excited to move in soon and start enjoying our new home!

I lived at Artessa aka The Lodge at Arrowhead for a total of four years. Overall I enjoyed my stay. At times I found management (there were three managers in four years) to at times be challenging, but they always made things right. Although Joe is not in management he was always good to deal with as he is always friendly and fair. I found maintenance to be exceptional as they are both efficient and friendly. The Landscaping is beautiful. When I moved out I hired the same cleaning people and carpet cleaner as the Lodge before my inspection and I had no problems with extra fees. Although the Lodge is gated non-residents simply wait for a car to go through then proceed, so although it is gated it is not efficient. In addition there is not fencing around the whole perimeter. In four years my car was broken into once. People on the lower floors who leave bikes on the patio have been known to get them stolen. The noise level is moderate. The pool and gym are very nice. Artessa is convenient to public transportation and close to very good shopping, and entertainment. I would have no problem recommending Artessa for a way above average apartment experience.

Everyone in the office that we have talked to is very helpful and friendly. My boyfriend and I weren't sure what exactly we wanted and they showed us the different floor plans in person and explained the break down on pricing. We had very good neighbors. The pools were good (But was closed for few months for renovation) and we didn't had any move out charges (except a professional cleaning around $85). It is an older apartment with older features. As out-dated as the apartments are rent should definitely be much cheaper. However, the staff is kind and friendly and they have kept the apartments up fairly well. My biggest complaints would be both the lack of communication about the trash disposal system, as well as the trash disposal system itself, how far the mailboxes are, and the assigned parking spots; If there are 2 people on the lease then you should get 2 parking spots! Also, those parking spots should be positioned way closer to your front door.

Listen. I don't post reviews, but have have found that most tend to be negative. People tend to speak out more when they have a bad experience and not vice versa. In regards to The Lodge at Arrowhead (now Artessa), I feel compelled to defend it. We live here with our young son and dog and have had nothing but a great experience! The grounds offer plenty of green space, shade and dog walking options. Additionally, the back of the grounds border the Skunk Creek Trail for easy gate access to more walking/run/bike space. For our son, no, there is not a play area on site but there is a beach volleyball area for "sand play" and a great park within walking distance across the street. Due to the aesthetics of the grounds, we don't feel like we live in an "apartment complex".....rather, more like a small community. Maintenance staff are comprised of just a few guys, but they have been very responsive. Depending on the intensity of the request, they can respond same day or within a day or two. It is hard to reach front desk staff on the phone for some reason, but the reality is that the grounds are not that big, so you can just walk up front. Overall, we have been very pleased and actually just renewed our lease. No problems with pests or anything else. We love our apartment itself and neighbors are very good.....no issues with nearby tenants. We definitely recommend The Lodge at Arrowhead/Artessa and encourage you to check it out if you are looking for a leased place! Update: They are doing a ton of upgrades (i.e. new appliances, shades and flooring in empty apartments), as well as remodeling the leasing office/community center and gym (with new equipment!). The pool area was recently re-done and I believe we are getting new furniture, etc. for the pool deck soon.

This community is by far the most beautiful in Peoria, the pool is gorgeous, the staff is helpful and friendly, and the amenities are all so great especially the movie theater! Upon driving in I already feel like home as the entrance is welcoming. This complex is pet friendly as there is a dog park in the back with a grooming station! I have been living here for a month now. I had the best experience touring the apartment, and fell in love instantly. There was something insane to me though. I was moving here while my husband was overseas because of military. Jamie was very sad to see him go a couple weeks ago and got him a going away card and a cake. The staff is all amazing, and I feel safe here alone. It’s a gated community, and the units have security systems, AND there is a security team that monitors the complex. Pricey of course, but I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. You get what you pay for.

Michael showed us around a model unit and we absolutely love the exterior and interior design, and a big plus for us is that there is a lot of greenery in the area, as well as a bike trail along adjacent skunk creek. I was looking for a short term rental here in the Peoria area. Artessa fit the bill, Chris was very helpful in getting me the unit that I wanted. The grounds are clean & it's fairly quiet. There are children here playing in the afternoon so if you don't like kids I would look somewhere else. The unit was not ready the day I moved in due to the contractor not installing the new counter tops on time. Chris notified me of the problem before I moved in. Several other issues needed addressing, the maintenance crew fix all the problems in a matter of days. The unit could be in better shape which is why I gave only 4 stars. Overall still not a bad deal given it came with a 2 car garage.

I've been looking for an apartment almost for a month and signed up lease for this one .The apartment is equipped with latest appliances , the cool one is Nest Thermostat ..I just had two preferences, one is a balcony with great view and privacy, secondly an attached Garage ,I got these two preferences fulfilled. The only negative I see is the internet service provider who cant provide more than 30 MBPS.

I lived here from November '09 to September '13 and my experience here has mostly been pleasant. They regularly change filters, maintenance calls are answered almost always and the premises are well maintained. Although I fail to understand why does one need to mow their lawn 3 times a week in Arizona, that too with an extremely noisy mower. Does grass really grow that fast? My problems with the place started when we terminated our lease two months earlier, because we were moving town. My husband sat with one of the management people and was told that we'd have to pay some $2000 odd as lease breakage. We issued a check and almost immediately handed it over. Next day they called and said that we needed to pay another $400. Although annoyed, but we paid it nevertheless. That day itself my husband asked them if we need to schedule an inspection to which we were told that it would be done when we leave. We'd just have to drop by the office and tell them to come over for inspection. They would inspect only when the apartment is completely empty. So, on the day we were leaving, I told them to come and do the inspection and they asked me if I'd scheduled one. I was dumbfounded and told them I hadn't because no one told me to. Then the lady behaved like she was doing me a favor by sending someone for inspection out of schedule. The guy who came to inspect insisted that a tray from the oven is missing, a tray we never saw. I told him that but he was adamant that they provide a tray with every oven and that he was going to charge for that. We had to reach the airport soon so, instead of fighting about it, we agreed to pay. We were told that including the tray we'd have to pay $30 and that the bill would be mailed to us. When we finally got the bill, we were charged $50. Final bit was the key drop off. We were told that after the inspection, we could just drop the keys, the gate remotes and the key cards in the office. But when we went to the office, they refused to take the keys. They said that they'd only take the keys when the handover is done. We had to enlist the help of a friend to drop the keys off, who had to take time off his work just to do this. All in all, while I loved my stay in this place and have some really fond memories of this place, the complete mismanagement and lack of inter-departmental communication, left us with a bitter aftertaste.

This review is for my tour and application experience only. Positives: Leasing agents were very knowledgeable and helpful when available. Agents were very informative and upfront about leasing options, apartment details, renovation plans, problems and issues with the area, application process, etc. I really felt like they went out of their way to make sure I understood everything I needed to know about the unit before making a decision. Which can be hard to do over the phone in separate states. I was mostly helped by Chris. Negatives: Agents can be difficult to reach by phone but will usually get back to you by the end of the business day if you leave a message. One leasing agent missed my first scheduled video tour without warning or explanation. Once this was brought to the agent's attention, the agent immediately offered a new video tour at my earliest convenience. Disclaimer: Artessa offered me a promotion in exchange for an honest review of my video tour experience.

I lived here for two years. The location is wonderful, and it's a good place to have a dog. However, the rent goes up astronomically at the end of the first lease, and there are many hidden costs -- mandatory garbage collection that is less than satisfactory (sloppy service, restricted hours), monthly rent for pets with another charge at the end for carpets because of pets, utility services outside of APS. The office staff try their hardest, they really do, but they are overworked/overburdened. Maintenance is about 50% helpful. I scheduled three different walk throughs at the end of my stay and no one ever came. My closet collapsed and stayed that way for days. Still, you can't beat the location or the amount of trees and greenery on the property. It just depends on what's important to you.

I've moved it from one star to two since we have a new property manager named Megan. She is making some pogress poor girl has a mess on her hands. We now have security and a number to call. However, I do not have that number since I never received the email. The landscaping is looking better. I can't say on a maintenance improvement since everything that was a problem took long to fix when first moved in, but all has been ok since. Only thing I really want to make prospective residents aware of, if you rent in the first floor you get no ceiling fans in the bedrooms. I will be leaving here in 4 weeks, but will update my review with my move out experience and future improvements that I see. Oh, big problem, residents not cleaning up dog poop, especially in the dog park. Megan is really trying and has only been here just over a month. She's a huge improvement over the last manager. I'll update this as I promised Megan I would. I've been gone a month now and I have to say the move out experience was way better than the move in. Possibly since it's an all new crew except Alex in maintainence. The new maintenance guys are great as well as Alex. They do water they can especially if you're living in an unrenovated unit which I was. I received the amount of refund for my deposit in less than a week. I know the grounds were needing g help when I left, sprinklers are getting old and probably money is needed for new. The renovated units are nice but still a bit pricey. I really think Megan is trying, but they do need to screen people better. I saw people there that had been evicted from my old property as well as more than once swat there. Good luck Megan and the new crew.

Its good but not luxury....Think before you pay this much Before I wrote this I spent a lot of time gathering information and thoughts so please read it all !! First let me explain the pros of living at Artessa formally the lodge at arrowhead now owned by alliance The Property is for the most part is beautiful It is a super quiet community The people in the office are friendly The maintenance guys are great best i have seen The apartment are spacious and very soundproof from the neighbors Great pool area and amenities Now the cons please keep in find as I write this some of these things are being fixed however halfway there is not done and i will continue to edit this when and if these item are fixed. also keep in mind Artessa is advertised as a LUXURY apartment complex so to me that says its all in the details the apartment While some things are being upgraded in the apartment ours has not no if you move into one of these expect basic appliances and fixtures IE old track lighting very basic washer dryer fridge ect. not the ones in the demo apartment also expect around 150.00 to be added onto your rent as these are the hidden fees including water, curbside trash just added at a mandatory 35.00 a month costs, taxes, pest control,ect The amenities all the amenities are great the Himalayan Salt room, Lounge area, movie theater, and game room but if you are a normal person who works 8-5 these will not be available to you except on Sat and Sun. as all these features as only open when the office is. And since the back area which includes the Himalayan Salt room, Lounge area, and movie theater is available for private party rentals (for a mere 150.00) if it is rented on sat or sun your out of luck using any of them *Update* I have been told that the above listed items are being upgraded to make them 24hr to be completed at the earliest march 2016 but more likely June 2016 The pool area is very nice it has all new furniture and cabanas However the jets in the spa have never worked since we moved here in July 2015 and there is no sign of it being fixed anytime soon also there seems to be a cleaning issue around the pool area the gas grill and sink are always dirty and there is trash in the rocks around the pool that sits sometimes for weeks. remember luxury is all in the detail So will I continue to rent here I am undecided at this point because it is on the top end of apartments prices in this area I am at a wait and see But like i said This is all the truth so all do is let you decide *Update as of 10/14/15 the hot tub is working and as of 10/30/15 the trash is no where to be found around the pool😃 *

My family and I have lived here for ~4 years. The grounds are beautiful but the buildings are old. In our first apartment, the shower leaked through the floor and poured water down into the garage onto our vehicle. They replaced the shower liner and patched it up but the floor remained uneven and it felt like stepping on loose subflooring. Our first week in another unit, the AC was making a tapping noise and we were told it would be looked into. Front door was very dented and scraped and even our touring agent said it didnt look acceptable. He notified maintenance before we moved in but they told him that the door was functional and so it would not get addressed. The tapping from the AC also wasn't fixed so our first week in this unit, we had a horrible time sleeping because the tapping turned into banging and we didn't see maintenance for some time. Monsoon season brought roof leaks even though we were assured that all the obvious patches were not an issue. A pair of men came (one from Artessa maintenance and another from a contract team) and inspected the ceilings (set eyes on the damaged drywall) and said the building had leaks- we figured maint was taking care of the whole building but our dry wall was never repaired and the building's residents never got correspondence on progress. We later found out that another unit in the building had leaks and their ceiling came down from the inside. The following downpour, another leak happened followed by a heat wave and then termite wings around our windows. We submitted a ticket to have the building checked for termites. The ticket was immediately closed and then we had to ask what the update was and they said no termites were found. Leaks were still an issue. Another downpour later and the bedroom/livingroom ceiling had a massive water spot. We submitted a ticket for leaks but they only sent another roofing team. (It should make sense that if a leak happens, you need to coordinate roof repairs AND repairs for internal damage.) Our ceiling began to turn black and unsightly brown so we submitted another ticket detailing the damage from the leaks. Someone came in, scraped off the black and brown spots and then retextured and painted over it and then left. Family had persistent dry cough and kept testing negative for COVID so we wondered if there could be mold. We had to send images of the black spots and drywall damage to request that the issue not just get painted over but thoroughly inspected. I came home one day after work and men were trying to get into my apartment while I was showering. I had both deadbolts locked and when I answered the door they told me they had been in my apartment already (fixing freezer issues) and I had slipped in while they were getting supplies from their vehicle. I told them I didn't know they were scheduled to come and the gentleman told me that they had attempted coming for a week straight and nobody was home to let them in. I apologized but told them I had no idea they were trying to enter all week. When I finally tried to contact maintenance about whether or not our mold issue had been taken care of (we didn't receive a ticket of completion or any updates that the work had indeed been done nor what had been found) the maintenance team lead began to get defensive and argumentative blaming my husband for not communicating with me (my husband forwarded me all the messages). I checked our emails and indeed, we've never received a report of completion for the mold issue. We never saw signs that they had come to cut out the drywall nor were we told what had or had not been found. My 3 year old and I arrived home to our entire LR/kitchen covered in plastic and a gentleman told us he was contracted to paint over all the patches on the ceiling. (Many patches) We never know when we need to be home to let anyone in or when we need to vacate (paint fumes) and it creates a huge scheduling issue. The maintenance team works hard and does what they're sent out to do, but there is a huge lack of communication from the team lead with the residents.
