My husband and me had the best experience working with Houwzer. Our agent, Howard Smith had a great knowledge of the market and advised us accordingly. We were a little concerned as we put the house on market around the time when interested rates spiked and were anxious if we would be getting good buyers. Our house was sold within 6 days of being in the market! The icing on the cake is the flat $5000 as seller's commission that helped us save more than $10,000. I would recommend Houwzer a 100%.

I can say Scott helped us secure a very good negotiated price with the seller. In addition to his RE skills, he is knowledgeable in spotting the repairs needed, red flags, and the good, the bad, and the 'ugly-walk-away' properties we propensed on. Allison Dubovsky was the BEST. She was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and clearly knows exactly what she is doing. She went above and beyond doing multiple things to make the sale happened that frankly the seller's agent should have been doing. During our search she answered all of our questions, many times more than once, she got viewings scheduled right away and worked us on everything. After we under contract she was always in touch with us and the lender and through the multiple issues (due to the seller's side or from my lender, not her) that arose she always kept her composure and worked on getting us over the hurdle. The other people involved, Amanda, Ryan, Amber and everyone else, were also fantastic, but we didn't work with them as much, so I don't have as specific information. I can say that the way Houwzer works as a team and has everything in house is incredibly convenient and made us feel secure the entire time. We never felt pressured, and the whole experience with them was great Thank you!!

I had to move to the west coast from Philadelphia and I put my house up for sale with Houwzer. First, they are a great value compared to the traditional realtor pricing model. Second, they have the whole process well organized and I could see on my personal web page what steps still need to be complete and who was responsible for each step. Third, my agent, Stephan, went above and beyond what I expected from a realtor. He paid regular visits to the house after I had moved and gave me updates. He coordinated with service providers and provided access as needed. He even watered my plants when he visited! Selling a house when you live 2,700 miles away is stressful. But Stephan and the Houwzer team were able to minimize that stress and sold the property quickly for the right price.

What a fantastic company to work with! The team that handled the back of the house tasks were on top of their game and always there to lend a hand, no matter what! The app for showings and feedbacks was awesome, everything right there in one place. Their model for both their fee (which saved me a lot of money) and communication through every step, big or small was something they should be proud of! I wasn't sure what to expect with a flat fee for listing my house but what they delivered was incredible! I would recomment them to anyone and everyone, such a great experience!

My wife and I were looking for our first house. My friend, who just bought his own first house, recommended Houwzer and more specifically Jason Matthews as an agent. Best decision I ever made. Every step of the way was made painless and easy. And more specifically, Jason made our lives so much better by being our agent. Most realtors want to steer you towards a house they know would be a good sale for them. Not Jason. Jason actually steered us AWAY from a lot of houses we liked because he knew they wouldn’t be the right fit for us (especially the houses that smelled like dog urine). After a few months he found the exact type of house we wanted. From there, the mortgage application process is long and complex but with their updated online software and ability to contact them at almost any time of the day, one month later we moved our new home. Their whole staff is incredible accommodating and incredibly knowledgeable, and they answered all our questions honestly and thoroughly. Not every house-search is a piece of cake, but with Houwzer, it’s a million times easier. I would definitely recommend using Houwzer, and in fact I already have.

I was initially unsure about working with Houwzer because it is not a well known company, and there are many real estate companies that have a large footprint in my neighborhood. Our home sold in 22 days and we saved approximately $15k in realtor fees. The company that Houwzer uses to take pictures of the home was excellent. Homes really do sell themselves online. I definitely recommend Houwzer. Things to note: we do live in an area with a demanding real estate market. I am curious to see if homes listed with Houwzer in slower markets sell in the same time frame as homes with a traditional selling agent. Also, there is not a lot of hand holding on the selling side which is to be expected. If you are someone who prefers a very hands on selling agent you may not find that here. We preferred a less invasive selling process. However, any time we had a question it was answered promptly. And being able to schedule showings through the app was nice also. Overall, a great experience.

Everything that I wrote previously holds true for the home selling experience, too. Their knowledge of the market was excellent, leading to spot-on recommendations for listing price and strategy. Communication was awesome, between their tracking web site, frequent check-in phone calls, and use of the interactive listing app, I always felt like I was up to date. Interactive walkthrough and photos were professionally done, and they looked it. Howard and the team were honest and forthright and when necessary frank about the various situations we’d undoubtedly find ourselves in during the selling process. I felt that my interests were well represented and more importantly respected throughout the entire process. Most importantly though, the house sold the day it was listed, and never once did I worry about my team’s follow through. Everything went off without a hiccup after the initial offer, it was smooth sailing. This was certainly the best selling experience you could hope to encounter. I hope I don’t have to sell my home for some time, but if I do, I’ll certainly give these folks the opportunity to do it again. You know that feeling you get when you expect something to go wrong, because doing big life things often have hiccups, but at the end of it all, everything went perfect? Yeah. Five stars is not enough. Howard Smith and the team at Houwzer did a phenomenal job of selling my house at full price and steering us through the closing process during the height of the COVID-19 shutdown in Pennsylvania while the rules for PA real estate transactions were changing by the day. I was immensely pleased with their performance at every step of the sale. After our initial meeting and walk through, Howard clearly communicated a detailed sales strategy and our house was listed quickly. I was quite pleased with the listing pictures, which were taken by a professional photographer. I loved using the Houwser App on my phone, which made accepting and tracking showings and viewing buyer feedback a breeze (much better than texting with an agent). We had dozens of people attend our open house, had several showings, and we received two offers after a week or so. Howard’s greatest impact was made in the closing process, however. My greatest initial concern about using a lower cost brokerage was whether they would steer us through the inspection and closing process. Howard performed above and beyond any reasonable expectations. After Howard helped us negotiate the inspection requests, Governor Wolf announced that all real estate business activities would be shut down – including title and real estate closing activities. Over the next few weeks, Howard and the Houwser team kept us abreast of all news and changes in policy, and helped develop a strategy to remotely coordinate with the buyer, his agent, the mortgage companies and the title companies. I was worried this deal would fall through but Howard was in constant contact, reassured us throughout, and got the deal done – in the most difficult environment for home closings anyone has ever seen. And lastly: he saved us over $10,000 in commission costs. Their pitch is 100% accurate with no hidden fees.

Real estate needs business models like this to shake things up, and I'm thankful for Houwzer and the opportunity they provided me to save money. However, being a single, first time home seller, there were many times throughout the process when I felt that my home sale was not exactly the highest priority for the Houwzer team. Luckily, my home was in very good condition with recent updates, in a hot market, and basically sold itself reasonably quickly (3 weeks) for these reasons. This is just a word of caution! The money savings are worth it, however Houwzer may not be the best route for those who expect a very hands on real estate experience and/or those whose homes are not in tip top shape and in very hot markets. I believe the attention needed to sell a home in 1) a tepid market or 2) a mediocre condition home in a very hot market may not be there with this company.

Incredible!! Not only is Houwser "Full Service" but I'd say it's BEYOND full service. How many listings have dark, ugly photos taken by the RE agent? Houwser sends a well trained, expert photographer who really spends the time to get everything right - including a virtual walk-thru.
