Reviews of The Ludlow
First, right next to the legendary Katz, what more you need?! Even though I didn’t taking pictures of hallway and lobby, this build is the most glamorous one in the 30+ rental building I saw, because it’s so high up and nothing stands higher next to the ludlow, you will have a breathtaking view at any corner, or rooftop! And my guide, she is vey nice and super beautiful, like Victoria’s Secret model jump out from the screen, and she is so patient even with broken ankle, she walked entire building with me, really appreciate! And for the room, it’s got a tons of storage space. maybe a bit of outdated on the color combo for the room and kitchen, but everything is nice any solid, not a cheap staff. The only downside that prevented me to choose the ludlow, is lack of in room laundry. If you don’t care about it, I have great news for you, they have in house laundry with SAME day drop off service!
Loved the room! An amazing place. Great location and the view from our balcony was awesome. A++++
This is one of the coolest hotel I have ever seen . You might think about pricing but if u look at the location it’s one the great location in Manhattan and very close to public transit . Hotel employees are very welcoming helpful. Love the lobby decoration as everything looks antique. And if u stay here don’t forget about corner famous Katz deli .
Fantastic boutique hotel with great location and amazing views. Highly recommended.
We cannot be happier with our stay at the Ludlow! This will be our only pick when staying in NYC from now on.
Service: From the email responses, check-in, housekeeping, the restaurant (on Mother’s Day of all days) to check-out, the staff exceeded all expectations. I would like to give a special thank you to the housekeeping staff who we so friendly.
Room – King Studio: The room was well appointed and very comfortable. It was approx. 250 sq. Ft and had lots of room to move around. The bathroom shower is one you never want to leave and if you you’re that kind of person you can show off your goods to lower Manhattan through the large window. You can also keep the curtain closed if you’re a little more modest. The bed and pillows were super premium with a bed being a little on the soft side. There was a large wardrobe and plenty of hangers. There is a fully stocked bar fridge and some snacks for a fee.
Check-in/out: Very fast and friendly. Check-out is also at noon which is rare, and they have no issues letting you check-out a little later if there is availability.
Restaurant: We only had Sunday brunch which I’m not sure if it’s only on Sunday or special for Mother’s Day but it’s easily the best brunch ever! Gluten free was not an issue.
Views: We were on the 13th floor (1311) and were located on the corner which allowed for a stunning view of the city.
AMEX Platinum: We are Platinum member’s, and this gave us a room upgrade (based on availability) and $75 credit to spend in amenities which paid for brunch. We’re happy with these benefits and would highly recommend this card for just that reason alone.
Extras: As this was a special wedding anniversary weekend we were treated to a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine
I keep an amazing souvenir of my stay at this hotel. Great 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 …
Friendly staff and super comfortable beds! Loved the shower products. Would come again! Great location
Such a great experience in NYC at Ludlow. Beautiful room with stunning view, right in the central of Lower East Side, many trendy bars and restaurants around. Very friendly staff, i specially love the housekeeping who cleaned my room. I will come back next time!
Bueatiful. Incredible Room. Lovely service
Awesome, spacious rooms. Nice Location. Plenty to eat, night life, whatever.
One of my favorite places to stay in NYC when there is availability. It’s beautiful, staff is super rad. Food/bar is very legit and love the location. If you like LES, stay here
The staff here is great! And the Engineering team is the Best.
It is a very nice hotel with super nice staff. THE rooms are a bit small but absolutely clean. The lobby bar is very nice. They offer a good choice of tasty and interesting cocktails. The fries are fantastic! A Perfect place to hang around and meet people. Close by are tons of bars and restaurants. Nightlife is good there. Definetly a Place to stay for a NewYork trip
such a beautiful hotel that feels like a lower east side institution, even though its new. less pretentious than other hotels in the area.
Cozy hotel rooms with beautiful, classic New York decor and atmosphere.
Beautifully done rooms and cool decor, and in a brilliant area of town with cool bars and restaurants. Breakfast in-room was extremely expensive, but it was also excellent when it came. Not a typical hotel experience of marble floors and grand lobbies, but no less thoughtfully designed and appointed. Forget the Empire State Building, the view from the publicly accessible roof of this hotel, by the gym, is excellent. For some reason I only took a pic of the bathroom but hey, it looks pretty chic there.
Fresh boutique hotel with 20 floors and professional service.
Have never had a better experience in a building! I envision myself staying here for years to come.
The Ludlow is where you want to stay. At the price of an average Airbnb you get a quaint and stylish hotel with a fantastic bar and cook restaurant. The rooms are just the right size to fit a king-size a small sofa and two chairs. The bathroom is in white stone, metal and black and really spacious. Only downside: not heatet. There is a gym and a rooftop terrace on the too floor. The staff is attentive, friendly and professional. At Ludlow you're in between nice and upcoming shops, art galleries, fancy and old fashioned eateries and diners. Perfectly connected to Brooklyn and the rest of Manhattan - what else do you need?
Wonderful Hotel and area to stay. Lots to see. Great restaurants. Hotel personnel aiming to please and they do. Lovely views inside and out. 2nd time here. Will come again just gets better.
We had a great night there. The rooms are very modern and clean and the staff is very friendly. Our room was very small but I know that they have bigger ones. The restaurant is really good! Great food and also a great place to just sit at the bar and have drinks.
Absolutely loved it!
Beautifully styled rooms, friendly staff, amazing view from the roof, fun hotel.
Would stay over and over again.
Fantastic location.
Beautiful lobby.! The doormen are.. all right. Nice clean building with a roof view that will take your breath away and a lounge (+deck area) fit to impress even your most picky guests. .. Gentrification of the hood at its best.
Great location and great simple yet stylish rooms with wonderful views. Staff were polite enough but failed to give a personal feeling. Also there were some issues on the part of the hotel which were barely acknowledged, not really addressed after and sadly ruined the stay.
Rooms are amazing here. Perfect details in the decor. Staff are friendly and attentive. Food at the restaurant is superb. And the bar has excellent drinks and atmosphere
Just wonderful. Great atmosphere and fantastic location. Would like to stay forever! Highly recommended.
Went for my wife's and my anniversary, we both loved it. The hotel lounge has a great atmosphere,, with a nice fireplace, the service is excellent. The room was outstanding, I have stayed in much bigger rooms that felt smaller.. I had not been to the lower east side since the early 90s, it has come a long way.
Beautiful decor and excellent service. Didn't try their restaurant but the hotel is so perfectly placed for cafes and restaurants around it. Sofia on reception is so lovely.
The hotel is very well kept. The service staff were very prompt and helpful, and the environment was very friendly and relaxed. Drinks at the lounge are relaxing and the rooms are clean and well kept. I did not try the attached restaurant. My only complaint is really the elevators, they are a little overcrowded and slow. Nothing too terrible however.
Very nice hotel. Room was comfy and classy and clean. Dirty French restaurant in hotel very good. I definitely recommend this hotel. Close to Katzs Deli and couple blocks from subway.
Loved this hotel! Dirty French was delicious, the staff was friendly, beds comfy, and in a fun part of town. We'll definitely stay here again!!
Classy af. I will be staying here when I spend the night in the city and do not want to take the train home. The staff was insanely professional, helpful, courteous and kind from the bartenders to the front desk to maintenance. I stayed here after a show I thoroughly enjoyed but when I think back on that trip I fondly remember the room and the super cool experience this hotel was.
It was the best experience! Staff was polite and the place was not stuffy and the room always felt fresh. Higher floor was perfectly quiet. It's located in my favourite part of the city and the adjacent neighbourhoods have retail and culinary gems!
Beautiful place! Friendly staff, lounge , sitting areas packed on a Tuesday night! Definitely a place to feel important or trendy. Room is magnificent. See pictures
In town for one night only and did not have a chance to enjoy the lounge or the restaurant, but they appeared to be comfortable, inviting spaces -- especially if you like dim lighting. The overall feel of the hotel was rustic and hip. The staff was friendly and efficient. My room was comfortable and clean.
Amazing staff. The service was impeccable. We love staying here when we are passing through New York.
Great rooms and bathrooms. Super cozy lobby with fireplace. Nice staff.
Rooms are decently sized given the location, and tastefully decorated. Great location with lots of great restaurants in easy walking distance. Service has been phenomenal, solving several logistical questions for us and accommodating unusual needs.
Lovely hotel, great decor, wish there was more surface area to put my things, especially in the bathroom.
Decent hotel. Slightly overpriced for the spice. "Free" breakfast if they can seat you, if not room service will charge you. Really friendly hotel staff though. You guys rock.
Good hotel. Cute rooms. Friendly staff. Great location
Great location, amazing facility. Staff is incredible. Rooms are small but very reasonable otherwise.
Great hotel! The accommodations were nice and each room is adequate with tv with several channels, nice shower and bathrooms which includes nice soaps, shower products and even toothpaste
Great location, limited food menu, nicely appointed rooms which are obviously quite small as it's New York. Can get a bit sceney, staff are friendly, again greta location.
I think this hotel is tip top. I seem to enjoy my stay in NYC more when I stay at the Ludlow. It's clean, has good views and amenities.
I love this place so much! Amazing esthetic and great rooms.
Great rooms and bathrooms! Very cosy hotel. Although we enjoyed hanging out in the lobby by the fireplace in the evening, waiters and staff there were more often than not cold or barely polite to us. This could be improved, otherwise the hotel itself is a very nice place to stay and conveniently located near Greenwich village.
Place is modern and clean w very friendly staff. Did not eat there but the large restaurant and bar and sitting areas were always crowded so they must be doing something right.
Rooms are small like the old hotel it must have been redone as a dark moody place which is good I guess if you have 30 year old eyes. Lighting is all mood, walls and floors are all dark. Limited hot water at 10’AM.
The location was decent for walking around. Rooms felt pretty standard. It did seem overpriced compared to Hotel Indigo right across the street. Wish we would have booked there and saved $100 a night.
Just back from a 4 night stay at The Ludlow, was a great hotel. The room was perfect size and the bathroom big, especially the bath! The staff were super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area! Would definitely go back and stay.
Beautiful building, nicely designed rooms with great views plus it smells fabulous!
This hotel is overpriced for what it offers. Yes it has its charms but the rooms are small and cramped. Was not impressed
Great lower east side location. Cozy room with unique decor. Luxurious bathroom. Delicious room service. What's not to like?
The room is fantastic, and has a really cool vibe. It's slightly rustic but extremely luxurious.
Great location. Cozy room. Decent price to value.
Amazing Hotel! Super cool bathroom with great view of nyc from your bath!
We had a room with amazing outdoor space. The whole hotel has great atmosphere with dark wood, but with great amenities.
Went to the hotel restaurant then spent the afternoon working in their very cool solarium. Stylish, friendly and cool. I bet it's a very cool night scene too...
Great room with huge windows overlooking lower East side. Excellent bathtub (deep). Great location, and nice cozy yet tasteful style.
Nice room. Very compact. Found the lighting quite poor in the sitting area. Great bathroom and free breakfast.
Cozy room, very friendly helpful staff. Great location for walking.
The hotel is nice, with a trendy bar and indoor patio area. Amenities were nice if small, and about expected. The address was great too, right near Katz's Deli.
I always have a great time here. Rooms are super stylish and staff is always helpful.
Beautiful decor. Clean rooms and the guys on the door are exceptional. Really funky bar too.
Amazing location, fantastic and very friendly. Love the decorations in the room.
Good-sized, well-appointed rooms with huge windows (great views), high ceilings and big bathrooms. Service is not particularly attentive but is very friendly.
Absolutely loved the Hotel! Room meet expectations! Location was wonderful with lot of great restaurants in the neighborhood and walking distance to other spots of interest. The most friendly and helpful staff ever! Will be 1st choice whenever I have the opportunity to go back to NY! This was my first visit in NYand must say what is there not to love about this city? It is just so friendly and enjoyable!
Nice bar, good for after work meet-ups. The wait staff are very patient and not at all pushy.
Very nice lounge area which I'd good for both doing work or enjoying a cocktail. I would highly recommend.
Beautiful loft with tub and shower. Room is small but enough for 2 people. Hotel staff are friendly. Great bar area for drinks. Great restaurants all around including Ivan Ramen, Katz, etc.
Fav place to stay in the LES. Well-appointed rooms, albeit small at times.
Rooms are OK but not enough light. Air xondionter and heater are a bit loud. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Laid back and beautifully decorated with rotating art work. Rooms are terrific with city views, especially those on the 15th floor. Eat-drink-sleep everything here is well done.
Lovely hotel. Super stylish. Comfy beds. Best neighborhood in NYC. 10/10
beautiful retro vintage boutique hotel. rooms are small and ceilings are low in some spots but still lovely spot to stay at. WE LOVED the gold/brass bathroom plumbing and the steam punky vibe. p.s. higher rooms have AMAZING VIEWS.
Wonderful style and great breakfast, staff very helpful and happy
Great hotel. Good vibe and great location
Great location and beautiful spacious rooms.
Gorgeous hotel in one of the city's most vibrant downtown neighborhoods. The lobby bar is cozy and comfortable and a great place to meet friends for drinks or grab a bite. Locals and hotel guests mix and mingle.
We had brunch here the morning after my friend's wedding. The food and service is excellent!
Had a sort of I wouldn't say odd chance of being in this hotel on a job interview. So while I was waiting in the lounge area of the hotel I was so relaxed I forgot I was there for an interview. If I could stay at a hotel in N.Y. this would be a choice of mine.
Great little place. M tall so i loved the showe, never had a shower for tall people before.
Nice location, close to some good restaurants and bars.
Very great hotel , amazing location and great people
Awesome place, beautiful building super friendly staff.
I realize that reviews are very important, so it dawned on me to leave one for our very favorite home away from home, The Ludlow.
I can't say enough great things about the staff, and that can make or break an experience. The cozy bar in the lobby area is a perfect snuggle spot, morning noon or night thanks to the big fireplace and cozy couches.
I could go on and on, but i won't. They're simply the best.
Great location in one of my favorite neighborhoods. Probably not for tourists who want to see the midtown attractions. So many restaurants/venues around. Room is small (it's NYC) but enough room and well appointed. Besides the lounge is lovely and you want to be there anyway. Great tub!
Great food at their restaurant. Cute room.
That rooftop is amazing! One of my best nights ever was getting takeaway pizza and wine to share up there with my girlfriend. <3
Had the best possible experience at The Ludlow. The staff from front desk, to bartenders, to housekeeping were gracious, polite, and accommodating. I will definitely be coming back.
This is a nice place for drinks, especially the greenhouse is nice if you're a smaller group. I haven't tried the food, but they make good cocktails if the dirty vodka martini I ordered is any indication. Added bonus for the fabulous look of the host!
Great Hotel, even better neighbor.
Con Artist Collective
Went for dinner and drinks. Drinks are superb, dinner was absolutely amazing. Kudos on green beans and mushroom mille fueille! Service was incredible, they never missed a beat. Our table was never without full drinks, full waters, and packed with food.
I have mixed feelings about this place. Whilst the hotel is cool and trendy, it is also a bit noisy at 5am because the trucks are busy loading goods into Katzys Deli. We were woken up every morning by this as our suit was on floor 4. The restaurant was average too. Fish was served raw and everything is extremely overpriced. Staff was friendly though and always helpful. Rooms were cleaned well and ammenities were decent. Not sure if I would stay here again though ....
Extremely nice people, cool atmosphere, excellent location
What a beautiful place to stay in Manhattan ! The hotel have a great view if you have a room in the back of he hotel. You can take a bath with a view. There is a bar and a restaurant where you can enjoy a diner and excellent cocktails.
Comfortable and stylish hotel in a great location for Urban a adventures.
Great location in LES. Well furnished rooms with retro vibe.
Upscale, funky hotel across the street from Katz's deli and right around the corner from Mercury Lounge and Alphabet City. Hipster heaven in other words. The rooms are awesome, staff is incredible and the breakfast this morning was perfection. Now I'm off to enjoy the rooftop lounge!
Great boutique hotel.
Bad: Rooms are quite small with not much space for bags and coats.
Small rooms with a nice small rooftop, good place to stay and walk around Soho and the financial district
Good location clean rooms but super small
*wifi
*bar/lounge open to public
*great for dates
*great for getting work done/reading
*ambiance
My favourite place to be in NYC, lovely hotel, perfect hood.
Absolutely fantastic hotel, full of character and charm. The first impression upon entering is of the lovely lounge/bar area with a fireplace and cosy greenhouse kind of garden in the back. We stayed in a studio queen room, which was just as shown on pictures, beautifully furnished and decorated; very chique. Bathroom and shower is gorgeous! Everything was immaculately clean and well thought through down to the smallest details. The room was equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine amongst other luxuries.
The lounge/bar is cosy and calm during the day, and very lively and happening at night. The area around the hotel is great, lots of restaurants, cafes and bars you'll want to check out, and a very nice atmosphere in general. Venturing further afield, most of lower manhattan is easy to explore on foot from the hotel, with underground stations and cabs at the doorstep if preferred, offering easy access to midtown as well.
I stayed in the smallest suite which about a third of was the bathroom, which was stellar with a full tub, rainfall showerhead and handheld sprayer. The full size bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet and peaceful with a great view. Rooftop has a pretty view and there are a lot of restaurants in the area. The F train is a few blocks walk from the hotel which is convient for travel up or downtown.
Charming open-air courtyard in the back of the lobby bar, perfect gathering place for high-end cocktails
Nice hotel but the restaurant is extremely overpriced
Its nice and looks cool aesthetically. Bit cramped though, can't complain considering where it's located.
Lovely room (skyloft room 812), but windows draughty and heating, which was required, is very noisy. Had to turn it off to sleep. Also needs more lighting in room. Very dark once the sun sets.
Hip hotel. With good location for bars and restaurants.
Rooms are small but very well done
Lounge and bar open to the public. Good option if you want to work/study in a nice environment.
Hotel has a cool, sophisticated vibe. Lobby staff are a bit cold but helpful. Door guys always happy and smiling! Rooms were small, we were in a 15th floor Skybox so expected a little more but the views were incredible both night and day. Take a pair of earplugs especially if staying on a Friday or Saturday night - because of the area it's shouting, music and sirens ALL night! Plus the aircon is the loudest I've ever heard...
Nice rooms...great bar
Lovely little spot to stay when visiting New York (or even for a staycation!). The skybox rooms are beautiful and full of character. Room service hours are great and the food is delicious. The downstairs lounge (part of Dirty French) is a very cosy place to relax, grab a drink, answer some emails.....
Extremely expensive for an OK room. Great bathroom though
Went for a high school reunion. The space is great and the event went off without a hitch.
dinnig was great, food was also great and its just a great environment all thought.
The bar is amazing and their is always a great vibe
Loved this hotel! My boyfriend brought me here and let me stay for a week and i really enjoyed it. The room was nicely decorated with lovely pieces, I loved that. However, I have no idea how many times I had to re-connect wifi in the room. I wouldn't write about that if it was like less than 10 times so it was very very annoying to be honest. Also the location of a toilet paper holder could be improved because in general it is a bit hard to stretch your body backwards when sitting right...?(even though that could depend on rooms). Overall I really liked this place and even would love to come back someday if their wifi situation gets better!
Amazing service, location, and amenities.
Best boutique hotel we've stayed in NYC!!!
Wonderful experience, the staff go above and beyond!
Beautiful hotel, small rooms
Met a mentor and friends there for tea. Loved the atmosphere!
Service was great and the hotel was beautiful.
Oh. My. Gosh.
What a BEAUTIFUL hotel. I've honestly don't believe I've ever stepped into a hotel that could even compare to The Ludlow NYC. You literally feel transported to another place.
After stepping off of the grimy streets of NYC I felt as though I landed in upscale Nashville with the decor and ambience of The Ludlow's lobby. My friend and I spent about an hour just hanging out in the lobby admiring all the finer touches and enjoying the perfect aroma that we found out was jasmine being piped into their garden area...like WHAT! Amazing :D
Wish we spent the night here....just stopped in to check things out but hopefully in the future!
I love this place, the staff is awesome and friendly.
Cozy and welcoming, great service at all times!
Nice bar, furniture too small
nice and comfy place , great prices
Lovely, pretty and a great location for a ny hotekl
Great rooftop view of the city, many available amenities. Right by Katz
My favorite hotel in New York!
It's a nice hotel
Best hotel in Manhattan.
Came here for drinks. Very hip and trendy.
Great location, cool bar.
Chic and trendy. Popular with pro musicians and other well heeled creative types.
Bit loud. Good food and service, typical hotel restaurant experience.
Best boutique hotel in NYC
The room is tiny, I’m feeling like a $100 Barbie living in a $5 doll house.
The bar was beautiful but expensive
Fantastic jewel box in a perfect location.
Front desk was very nice
Room was very nice
Very good soot to stay
Beautiful lobby (open to the public)
