I've lived in a Soniat Realty apartment for about 3 months now. I was nervous at first because I've rented from other large realty companies before with terrible outcomes. Soniat has been a much different story. From the beginning, I met with a helpful and prompt agent who was very accommodating. She introduced me to some of the staff at the main office as well as John the property manager for my building. He's been great and communicating has not been an issue. I had a few requests and repairs that needed to be done before moving in and they were taken care of immediately. Overall I've had a great experience and it doesn't feel like I'm renting from a large company. They feel much smaller and more personal.

Here is a company I have handed over my rental property to handle. They take care of all the responsibilities that go along with rental property. They have done a great job taking care of my properties. Whether it's paperwork, collecting money, evictions, and paying bills. They do it all!! There property managers are very hard workers and have good work ethics. It's so nice not to deal with any of the headaches or problems associated with my properties. Just look into your bank account and see your investment working for you. That's what they can do for you!!

beautiful house and area. neighbors are lovely BUT they are TERRIBLE at responding back to maintenance. When I first moved in with my roomate and I, it took two months for them to come fix our shower that was broken before we got here and door. Then everything is so old they only keep fixing the old stuff and do not replace ANYTHING. Also the grass was up to our knees for a month until I decided to spend my own money to cut the grass and they still did not reimburse me because I didn’t get it “approved”; yet when I was calling about it they never answered with when they were going to do anything for 1-2 months. The doors, locks, and everything is old. just wish it was better communication because the place is great.

Maintenance is somewhat hard to get a hold of via email, but is prompt to answer the phone. The place is old, so sure, bugs can get in, but this is New Orleans, there will be bugs! I like that rent is taken out automatically from my account. I would recommend.

I know that Soniat likes to spend and be paid. They have black people who work there so accusations of racism seem strenched. I have worked for them and I am sure that good tenants who pay are their major objective. Money is green and that is what they prefer.

Every house i had from places in New Orleans, I rental thru Soniat realtor, they was wonderful, thru all my rental places. I stayed in 3 houses rented thru Soniat , seriously i had wonderful experience, renting from this realtor, i lived in each house altogether in years20+ years, Thanks soniat for a wonderful rental experience.
