However, as a first time homebuyer, I was perfectly at ease with the team at Riverwest Realty. Lance, in particular, was happy to explain the entire process to me and helped me have realistic expectations. I bought the CUTEST house, which I loved living in for five years. Buying and selling houses is not an everyday exercise. Nor is it something most people know anything about. Then, thrown into one of each: first buying when prices were out of sight and then, selling after interest rates had soared made for a disturbing experience. I don't often take the time to review businesses online, though I do often look at other's reviews when choosing to do business…it's time to do my part. In October, 2018, my wife and I decided and followed through on closing our Property Management business, which included selling 5 multi-family properties (one of which was a duplex we lived in, and acted as our office and warehouse) and also to purchase a new home (6 properties in total). This was all completed in September 2019, under a year, with all of the actual sales closing in a 6 month timeframe. I called Lance after going through my dad's mail. My dad turned ill and was going between the hospital and rehabilitation center. He and two other realtors had sent letters about buying in my dad's area. The letter Lance sent seemed to fit my needs most. When I discussed my situation, he said that when I was ready, he could look at dad's condo and tell me it's value, as is or with work done. He also told me he had a buyer for that area. He didn't push me, he kept in touch. We met at the condo and talked. Not long after, we met with the buyer and a deal was struck. We are such huge fans of Abby at Riverwest Realty and just wish buying and selling a house was a more common occurrence in our life so that we could work with Abby on a more frequent basis. I am a skeptic at heart, especially when it comes to markets with huge information asymmetry.
