I currently rent a property at Braeswood Park Condominiums and the owner of my unit lives out of state. I lost my key to the mailbox, and after a very chilly interaction with our mail delivery person, the owner recommended that I go speak to the management group. I was hesitant, but went anyway. Amy was in the office that day, and she was fantastic. She spent almost an hour with me calling the post office and working with Rocky, the community maintenance man, to resolve the issue and figure out how to replace the lock and key and get me my mail. She also made sure that all of my information was up to date and I received a parking sticker. I feel more comfortable knowing that Amy and Rocky are looking out for me, and more than willing to help. I could not have asked for a better experience.

So if one bad experience can cause us to write a bad review, why can’t a good one cause us to write a good review. Previously I had a bad review here with pmg, and while I still don’t think they are great, the Property manager in Lake Shore Harbor, Shannon Lewis, is making them look a lot better. I have had a conversation with her explaining my side of what I thought had been happening prior to her arrival. I can honestly say that I have talked to her in a day more than I have with any of the other managers in all the years I have lived here. At the very least, she is trying. And while the overall view might be that this company can use some work, my advice to them is that they better start hiring more people like Shannon who seems to want to make a difference.

In these times where everything and everyone speaks in anger and discontentment of all that is wrong with this world, I'd like to share a more positive and upbeat message. Angela Rivera at the Cypress Mill subdivision office is top notch amazing! Every time I go to the office she greets me with a big smile and a friendly welcome. She oversees our community with professional intelligent ease and completely amazes me but ALL that she does ALL BY HERSELF! The day to day details of running a large community, creating a working annual calendar for all things Cypress Mill. From overseeing that the pools and equipment making sure all is in working order to maintaining the work out room to ensure cleanliness & safety. Coordinating the calendar for the neighborhood swim team, working with area Boy Scouts/Girls Scouts overseeing the rental of our club house for private parties, organizing the incredible huge Annual Community Party each summer, the Easter celebration each Spring, and the fantastic Veterans Day Celebration each November! (She is a veteran mom too!) Working with the Cy Mill Board HOA and keeping the minutes of every monthly meeting! Assisting the Board with what ever they need. She does all this with a constant smile and kind word to everyone she meets. And she does everything ALL BY HERSELF with NO help. In the times I've watched her work she never sises to amaze me with her seemingly effortless ability to "do it all!" Excellent service with a smile is what Angela gives to everyone in the Cypress Mill Community! Hopefully this message will be seen by all those at the Principal Mgmt Office and the Cypress Mill HOA Board members. As an independent contractor , I hardly ever come across companies that pay you on time or that pay what is owed . They have never had my payment short , it's always been what its supposed to be. Thank God for Francessca! I’m on the board for our townhouse community. We took over from the builder about 2.5 years ago. Since then, we’ve been through multiple property management companies, and managers as well as numerous contracted vendors. For the first time we feel like we’re in great hands. We finally have a balanced budget, we have plans for audits, and a reserve study. We have a reliable and secure way to take payments, and process fines/violations. Francessca ALWAYS picks up the phone - even in her offtime - and she manages us as though we were her only client. Francessca is organized, and prepared, and she takes so much of the community management off our plates (as it should be) because the board members have full time jobs themselves. We never had this before! But she also keeps us informed, and communicates regularly. She’s experienced, educated, knows real estate and property management, and she knows the best vendors. She is also helping us save more than 20% if our budget this year over last year via more reasonable contracted vendors, and renegotiated contracts. Don’t know what we’d do without her, and we hope she never leaves.

Our small townhome community of 30 homes has been with Principal Management Group (PMG) since 2007. Overall we are pleased with the service as outlined in the contract we have with them. We have had three managing agents over the years and only 1 out of 3 we would rate as bad. Our new agent, Donna Shaw, has proven to be on top of things in the few months she has been managing our community. Majority of homeowners in our community contact their Board members (which I am one of them) if there is a problem. However, some have contacted PMG directly in the past, and the response time has been good. There have been few errors in the past with the Financial Reports, but those errors were corrected when brought to their attention. PMG handles everything professionally—and they are friendly too. For the homeowners that have given PMG a bad review, I would say to them: speak to your HOA Board members or contact your managing agent directly. As a homeowner you are a member of the Homeowner’s Association (HOA). The HOA Board members represent you. So if you are unhappy with the way things are run, contact your Board members. Also, every HOA has legal governing documents that specify the rules for each community. PMG’s role is to manage the communities as outlined by those governing documents and as directed by the HOA Board members. One way to have more voice in your community is to run for office as HOA Board member. Only then will you appreciate the efforts involved in maintaining your communities.

All these angry reviews below are from homeowners that are too ignorant to realize that their Governing Documents that were written by their community's Developer - in which they as homeowners agreed to abide by when they purchased their home - and the resident Board members that they as homeowners elected - dictate to the management company to enforce those rules and regulations detailed in those Governing Documents, not the other way around. They are mad because they got a letter about their yard, a fine, sent to the attorney for not paying their maintenance fee etc, and in their ignorance blame the management company instead of their Board members, their Governing Documents, or themselves for agreeing to abide by these rules and then failing to do so.
