I have used Mark Brace and his team to buy/sell several properties now. Today, I closed on my 3rd with him. In an extremely competitive market (West Michigan), Mark is the guy you want in your corner. I have full faith in him as an Agent and he knows how to win, and get the most value if your selling your current home. An extra plus is that his team is awesome! They are superstars and communicate and follow-up always. Its honestly refreshing to work with people that you can tell really value their customers. I'll continue to use Mark in the future, and I highly highly recommend everyone else do the same. Best Real Estate team in West Michigan hands down! We worked with Mark Brace and his amazing team on purchasing a house up in the GR area during a time when the housing market was so hot that buyers had to make life decisions quickly if we wanted the house. You can imagine the pressure that puts on Mark and his team to stay on top of everything and offer guidance. They were amazingly efficient and effective. House comes on the market in the morning, getting us in in the afternoon writing offers that evening. Yes, we had to make the quick decisions to purchase but Mark and his team did all the behind the scenes and made it work. We also must comment that Mark is easy on the eyes for sure and extremely personable as well, but he knows the business and walking through the house has an eye for everything important. When we first met Mark, he explained that his job is more service than sales. He proved that time and again with his thorough knowledge of home construction and the local market. Every time we viewed a new property Mark would perform a methodical inspection, looking for signs of problems and commenting on the quality of construction, finish, appliances, etc. Mark also led us through multiple rounds of negotiation to get to a price we were comfortable with. Mark was always available to show us houses, and no matter how many run down farm houses I wanted to see, he was always willing to do it. When coming into town to celebrate the holidays with family two years ago, my husband and I saw a new house on the market that looked just like we hoped our dream house would be. Mark Brace helped sell our last house 6 or 7 years ago, for a higher price than we thought was possible... and then he helped us find, and purchase our current home (1+ hour away!). He took us on a whirlwind tour to the ten homes we wanted to view and helped us settle in on our current home. Along the way Mark pointed out issues with some of the houses ("may need a new roof within ten years," or "this is a saltbox house... the cheapest construction you can build."), which helped us make a more realistic offer. He then helped with the negotiations (thanks again for getting the sellers to include the pool table in the basement even though it wasn't on the listing!). He was kind, caring, professional, prompt and an all-around nice guy to work with. I'm not surprised to see his business growing each year. I keep sending friends his way whenever they need a realtor. You should check him out!

I’m not sure where to begin! What an incredible experience it was working with Mark Brace. We lived on the East Coast and were re-locating to Grand Rapids. We set up some viewings one weekend, and Mark happened to be the one available to show my husband and mother around. They absolutely raved about this awesome realtor they met and said that we have to follow up with him. The next day we contacted him and said we would love for him to help us find our perfect home! Starting from day one, Mark truly went above and beyond. Our schedule was very limited and often would give short notice (sometimes 1-2 days!) on when we could fly in to look at houses. Mark is a very busy realtor but he always made time for us. Even if it was 8am on a Sunday before his other showings, he went to great lengths to make sure we were able to see every house we were interested in. One week he even went to a house with my mother and Skyped us as he walked through. We eventually found our home which was a new-build, and Mark was there every step of the way. He was able to negotiate with the builders and enable us to make late design changes to the home, and whenever we had issues or questions he would immediately contact the builders for us and the issue would be resolved. During the due diligence period, we found out the lot had been turned down by a previous potential buyer due to the need to spend about $10K more on the septic system then usual, so in order to close the deal, we requested that Mark approach the developer with an offer $10K less for the land. The developer agreed, and we are now in our new home. the best part, is when after digging many 'test hole' on the property during the ;'due diligence' period and finding no sand to reduce the cost of the system, when they finally dug the for the septic system, they found sand and we didn't have to pay extra for the septic system.
