Property Management Consultants of Columbia was a dream to work with. Deciding to rent out your home can be scary. I was hesitant because I’ve heard horror stories, but they made the whole process completely painless. They did a great job finding tenants quickly and everything went perfectly smooth for the two years they were in the home. When I first returned to my home, I was pleasantly surprised that everything looked exactly as it did when I left. Anytime I had a question (there were probably a million😅), they were always very quick to respond. Every one I ever spoke with in the office was extremely pleasant. Heather Murrah was always so helpful and responsive. I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for a property management company.

The best customer service hands down! We have owned our own home for over 20 years and this is our first time renting, while we build our new home. We have heard horror stories about renting w/ other companies but not the case with Property Consultants. We have had a very positive experience with them! Any maintenance issues are handled immediately and someone always answers the phone when we call w/ questions. What more could you ask for from a rental company?!

Selling our home and having to relocate and finding an appropriate rental house would have been a difficult task , but the staff at this company was most helpful. Special shout out to Keri who assisted with the application process. She responded to my emails and phone calls in a timely manner. We had to sign onto this house sight unseen , but she assured me that it was a nice residence. When I opened the door on our move-in day, I was pleasantly surprised and very relieved to find that she was honest in her recommendation. She even left a welcome note and gift on the kitchen counter ! I am very pleased with working with this local agency and glad that I did not rent a house that was contracted with an agency located out of state.

I recently moved to SC due to a new career move and was in the market to rent. I viewed many houses in one day and thought I was going to have to settle on something I didn't necessarily "love" through various property management companies. At the end of the day, I happen to find this company by default through the home that I did fall in love with. The process was extremely streamlined and efficient. I called to view the house and was given a code. Traveled to and viewed the home. Made a call back that I wanted to apply. They instructed me to go online and apply through the portal. I applied that night and received a call the next day and the process went through without a hitch. Granted, I'm one of the best tenants you'll ever have; previous 10+ year homeowner, super clean, handy with all tools, and my credit is great lol. After receiving confirmation that I had been accepted, the use of their online portal is fantastic to pay rent and stay up to date on general info on the property; can also set up auto-pay, reminders to pay bills, and request service. The last property management company I was using in Atlanta, forced me to write a physical check and make deposits into an escrow account at any Wells Fargo - seriously, this was a pain in the behind. To be honest, I never met a living person throughout the process, but I could really care less. I got the house I wanted and Rachelle was extremely professional and friendly. She was also very communicative and the welcome basket was an awesome surprise upon moving in on my first day. As a Tenant, I would highly recommend this company on their professionalism, friendliness, communication and overall quality of how their business is run (i.e. the online portal). It's obvious they've got their ish together and If given the opportunity on another property, I would highly consider retaining them as my landlord knowing that they would provide the same service as I'm currently receiving. Thank you for making my move-in as stress free as possible!

Property Consultants are the best property management company that we have ever worked with. Currently, we are renting a home from them. From the beginning of the process, the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and ready to assist us in finding a suitable property. Maintenance requests are promptly and accurately resolved. If we were homeowners here, we would not hesitate to trust them with managing our home. They do regular inspections to ensure that the property is being well cared for. When the historic flooding happened, Property Consultants promptly contacted all of their tenants to inquire as to whether any had experienced damage. The minor damage, which was not water, that we experienced was repaired immediately. Although they have a lot of homeowners and tenants, they make each of us feel like the most important tenant that they have. I really cannot say enough good things about Property Consultants. They are a stand-out company in property management!

When we moved to South Carolina we looked at (and talked to) many different houses (property managers) and Property Consultants was the one we felt the most at ease with. They were helpful in finding us a place to rent that fit our needs. It was an easy and quick process and we for the most part have no complaints. The only issue I have is we have been complaining about our ice maker not working and we have gotten about 4 different answers as to when it will be fixed. Other than that any major issues/complaints have been dealt with and all the staff has been very pleasant! We would recommend them, and if we ever lived here again we would use them to rent from!

I have been living in a residency in Rosewood Hills owned by Property Consultants for about a year now and have yet to experience anything negative from this company. I have rented from two other companies prior to Property Consultants and had many issues regarding the ones I had prior, including promptness to residency issues, bugs, and question I personally had. With Property Consultants, they have been very responsive to my questions, returning my emails within 24 hours during the week. When I first moved in, I had many questions about the property and they responded to my emails very quickly. When my ice maker was out, I filled a request form out and that same day they called and scheduled when someone would be out to fix it, which literally was the following day. When inspections came around, they informed us with plenty of time to plan for when they came so we could be around for the date or inform them that we wouldn't be there. The property I have lived at for the past year has had no major issues and very few minor, even bugs aren't an issue, and its a town-home. I've seen only a few the entire time I have lived there. The property company has also addressed my concerns and been very attentive to the needs of me and my former roommate. During the renewal process, they were very kind and patient with the fact I was abroad, which helped me out a lot as I planned on renewal, but internet was difficult and I had no computer, just a phone. I have raved about how much I have enjoyed having Property Consultants as my property managers and I am very glad to be continuing my lease with them. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for housing in the Columbia region.

I have never had such quick responses from a rental company. When we have something break they have it fixed within 36 hours- every time. When we moved in we had the BEST welcome basket waiting on us- and it actually came in handy before we had time to make it to the store that first day in our new place - detergent, trash bags, washing tablets, chip clips :) My other favorite part of Property Consultants is their online portal- clean, professional and very easy to use :) Best rental company around!

Property Consultants has been managing my home since I left Fort Jackson in 2007 for Colorado. They have been very professional with both myself and a series of USC student tenants. I had concerns about renting to students, but over seven years, the home has been treated well and I appreciate the care and diligence they put into screening and selecting tenants. The home is very near five-points and 100 years old this year. Because of the home's age, there have been a series of minor maintenance issues over the years. The communication between them, myself, the tenants and my handyman has been excellent. I would highly recommend this firm to anyone looking to place a property under management.

We have been renting with the Property Consultants for over a year now. When we started looking for a property to rent, it was so hard to get other companies to show us a property - we could only pick up a key during business hours or the agent was too busy fishing to show us a home that week etc. The Property Consultants made it easy to walk through the rentals they had available and were very easy to work with through the process. It seems like we have been nothing but trouble for them since we started renting - we sent off the home alarm system and didn't have the code to turn it off, the heater was making strange noises and the repair man had to come out on the weekend to look at it. Everytime we have to call something in, the Property Consultants are friendly and helpful. I would be hard pressed to rent from anybody else in the area, and if I decide to buy a home in Columbia, they would definately be my realtor.

When my husband and I moved to the Columbia area back in the end of June 2015 we had the most horrible experience with the apartment we were staying in on Harbison Blvd. With only being there a month, I had enough with the maintenance/insect issues, and the management/corporate for not being there for us to take care of our issues. Didn't care that I had to pay extra to terminate my lease agreement. No one should ever live in those conditions especially when paying more that a grand a month. A friend of ours that was renting from Property Consultants suggested that we view their website and see if there was anything available. Of course we found a handful of houses, I called and talked to Ashley Newman and was set up immediately with documents that were needed to be turned in for initial processing and then to later be followed up to select a date to view the set of houses we were interested in. The whole process for us was pretty quick and exciting because the first choice out of our selection of houses that my husband and I was interested in was the house we were able to move in to. With the money in hand and documents filled out properly and being approved we were able to move in within the next week. So total time for calling in first hand to moving in was about two weeks. The process was amazing and easy. I've been in and out of rentals for over 7yrs and for this time dealing with Property Consultants was by far the best.

We have been renters through Property Consultants for 1.5 years now. If anything went wrong, the staff were prompt and courteous to fix it. We haven't had any issues and I love their online payment system which makes things a lot easier. Added Note: When we moved in, and prior to that, the entire front yard was flooded due to a problem with the sprinkler system that was off. It was a disaster getting it fixed and communication was non-existent. My main issue is with the owner who is completely unprofessional and disrespectful. Since that blowup, if anything has come up, the staff who handles it has been kind and prompt. I hope to have no other encounters with the owner in the future.

Beware of this company...they are extremely disorganized and when you move out they won't even provide the invoices from the vendors they use out of the tenants security deposit. You Might Even Want to take pictures of turning in your keys as they charged me an extra day and didn't even have it noted as to who I turned the keys into and they were 2 days off and owed me money...I am taking this to magistrate court...never in my life have I encounter such a cappy company...looKS like this is very common for this company as the reviews says alot...I was told that I could only be provided the invoices if I took them to court...shady shady...Maybe something to hide evidently...but we will see...just beware of ever renting leasing or buying from them..not honest people at all
