I have been living at this property for over 6 years and the building is kept exceptionally clean and all the staff are kind, helpful and long term employees. Rhonda Allen our Assistant Property Manager at First Service Residential has been wonderful to us and takes care the property as if it was her own. She goes out of her way for the residence and always is kind and helpful. We have been so pleased and thankful to have her running the property. The building is beautiful inside, residents are polite and the views are incredible.

I would like to take this opportunity to share what a positive experience I have working with Rhonda Allen at the 1211 S. Prairie building in Chicago, of First Service Residential. She has alway been very responsive to all of my requests and concerns. While having a remodeling job in my unit, she has been very cooperative with both me as an owner and the contractors . She has the ability to anticipate issues and is creative in offering solutions. She is knowledgeable about how the association operates and is able to explain all the rules. She is just a delight to work with. I can’t imagine how the building would function if she was not there. I can honestly say that her being present has made my experience of living at 1211 enjoyable. Rhonda is actually one of the best assets of the building. If was able to give her 10 stars I would.

But the OMPE team somehow makes us feel like a neighborhood of family members. The Assistant Property Manager, Rhonda Allen, is exceptional. OMPE is the top luxury building in South Loop. Its success is truly the result of excellent management, that keeps building in best shape. As a Realtor, I've been selling and renting condos in it since 2008, when the building was built. OMPE impresses with beautiful, perfectly kept common areas, always friendly and ready to help staff and management. All elevators always work as a clock, all maintenance requests are taken care of immediately, lobby and front desk are immaculate and Rhonda Allen is always available, smiling, caring, super professional, always ready to help. Rhonda Allen is the best at her job, a true role model of what a great building manager should be! She and her team take great care of the building. All maintenance issues are addressed immediately, residents are very happy with the way building looks and operates. All mine and my clients’ calls and e-mails to Rhonda with any questions or requests are returned immediately, and all requests are taken care of literally in an hour or two, as soon as it could be done. I’ve never experienced any delays. In my professional opinion, she is one of the top best property managers in Downtown Chicago Rhonda Allen has strong professional relations with the board, as wells as with all building residents, she’s a true people’s person. She is ALWAYS available, and always positive and ready to help. She frequently works longer hours, to be sure that everything is perfectly taken care of. When we first moved into this unit approximately eight years ago there were some issues with the phone and the Internet service. Rhonda helped us navigate through the new systems that had been implemented at the condo. Any time I have asked Rhonda for any assistance Rhonda always completed every task in a punctual and caring manner. We have recently relocated to another unit in the same building and again Rhonda came through with some issues we were having regarding the mailbox, the new fob, and the new doors and locks. Rhonda is always available to always give a helping hand.

Its been amazing to see the FirstService Residential's Rhonda Allen and team seamlessly work together to manage the building with professionalism and efficiency. Unit maintenance requests, common area upkeep, scheduled building maintenance such as garage cleaning and many other activities are handled without a hitch. Rhonda also goes above and beyond to meet resident's requests. For example, I had to get a documents notarized urgently to send overseas and Rhonda immediately jumped in, got witnesses and notarized the document within 10 min! I will also add that the staff attrition has been minimal, esp. in a tight job market today. This speaks to how the management takes care of its people! Keep up the great work, Rhonda & team!

I've lived at 2700 N Hampden Ct for the past 3 years and have had a fantastic experience, largely due to my interactions with the people on staff who keep our building going. I moved into the building in July 2020, at the peak of the pandemic. As frustrating that time was for my roommate and the other residents, the FirstService Residential team did everything they could to keep us both safe and accommodated. A special shoutout throughout my three years in the building goes to Colleen Negron. She has been nothing short of amazing in regards to communication and being helpful in general. Each week she prints out a list of things going on - relevant information about building work being performed, friendly reminders, and also great events around Chicago that we can participate in. This was especially helpful when fighting the inertia to stay inside during COVID and go explore the city in safe, fun ways. Also, I don't have any family in Chicago with a vehicle, so oftentimes I need to reserve the elevator in a tight window and hire somebody to remove furniture or bring things in. Colleen always helps me reserve the padded elevator with a very short turnaround time. One of my biggest pain points living there is the lack of a freight elevator and she makes it easier by being so accommodating. Lastly, I don't have a shredder but I had files of paperwork to dispose of an Colleen let me use the one in her office so I didn't have to go out to the FedEx/UPS store. It's great to have someone in the building who makes you feel like family -- FirstService Residential is lucky to have Colleen!!

When we were looking to buy we were impressed with the cleanliness of the building and the friendliness of the front door staff. After we purchased out unit at One Museum Park East we were amazed that the manager Katelin Dorsey ran such an amazingly well organized operation. Service calls were handled the same day as made and some within half an hour. All and i mean all of the employees are warm and friendly and anxious to hold doors open, carry packages etc. This doesn't just happen. She manages to keep all the residents happy and have happy employees. We really enjoy all the amenities in this building and they are kept in pristine position all the time. She is a big reason this building has such a great reputation.

Julianne is by far the best building manager I have had in any residence I've lived in, including some buildings that are considered to be very "high end". She has the confidence and respect of the Board and the residents. She is professional and knowledgable and gets things done. I've never experienced a building manager at any of the other management companies to actually lead the HOA meetings. In my previous building the building manager took notes. Our head engineer at The Belvedre, Marcos has worked in the building for a very long time, and he's fantastic. He knows every square inch of our building and specific residences. Our doormen with lead Anthony, are all terrific - helpful, friendly and professional. This has been the best experience I've had in a building - and I've lived all over the US - including several homes in Chicago.

Considering that owners’ interactions are typically with the association manager, FSR did well to give us Geneva Everett as manager. Review of FirstService Residential Property The building I reside in is a historic building in a major city center, built in 1873-1913, with 100 units--mixed use-85% residential/15% commercial--repurposed from a printing company in the late 1970’s by individual unit owners, with no single developer. Due to the age of the building and its unique structural and architectural elements; maintenance, repair, and replacement of common structural elements while preserving the aesthetics and character of the building can be challenging. I have resided in the building since 1987, had a stint as a board member for 2 years back in the mid-1990’s, and again for the past 4-1/2 years, and presided as president for 3 of those years. When I joined the board in 2017, property management was contracted with Draper and Kramer. In 2019 when D & K was acquired by FirstService, the board considered FirstService’s offerings and signed on with them. My evaluation is weighted for: Competence, Responsiveness, Reliability and Professionalism Management Support: Marla Jackson was our assigned Regional Director with D & K and continued in that role after the acquisition. She has been a key asset in transitioning the board to new processes, and in identifying and recruiting accomplished property managers as turnover occurred and board needs evolved. Operational Support Jennifer Gorski has been our assigned Property Manager for over a year and was able to quickly step in to perform critical tasks, enabling in-process initiatives to proceed without interruption. During that time, she has demonstrated a clear understanding of the issues and priorities of the board; an appreciation of the unique idiosyncrasies of the building; exceptional organization skills; tenacity and thoroughness when dealing with contractors, third-party providers, and maintenance staff; and proficiency in following up issues to completion. Jennifer also possesses excellent communication skills. The value of her ability to grasp complex concepts, capture specifics and consequential details, and present it in formats that are consumable by diverse audiences cannot be understated. In my opinion, Jennifer is the most accomplished and competent property manager we have had in the last 20 years. Back Office Support: Over the course of our relationship, we have requested various support services such as guideline documents, training, etc. I have been satisfied with both their responsiveness and the quality of the deliverables.

i see all the negative reviews and i'm surprised. FirstService Residential Illinois took over management of our highrise 5 months ago. It's been a pleasant change from our previous management who rarely returned emails or answered the phone. Yesterday I bought the condo I was renting and I had a long list of questions. The board referred me to First Service, and once again Michael was the one who aided me. When a document had not been executed and sent to the title company threatening to hold up the closing, Michael said ... I got this, and he did. I've asked Michael many questions and every time he's given me a prompt response or apologized if he couldn't. I've talked to neighbors and they are very pleased with the service also. Fingers crossed it continues. I've dealt with bad management companies, for me First Service is one of the best.

That being said I had no idea how or if an HOA system was right for me. I must say I am very pleased with what I'm experiencing. Along with the HOA is the team from First Service Residential lead by Helen Fisher Manager, to carry out the goals of the HOA. Helen is in a class of her own, a great leader and problem solver. The year 2020 has been a challenge to this group and Helen came through thinking on her feet to accomplish the goals under duress. I can't say enough good things about Helen and her team. Carilion in Pingree Grove has an unbelievable group of HOA officials lead by the able Joe Stevens. They are well polished in their duties and get things done in a matter for the 'greater good'.
