I contacted Douglas Paul Real Estate to find an apartment in Boston. Had to do a blind move, and have no idea the particulars of the Boston rental market. I ended up working with Gabriel Bonilla. After accepting jobs very late in the Boston housing cycle, my roommate and I entered a mad rush to find affordable housing in Brighton. With only a few properties still available on the 6/1 cycle, I reached out to multiple properties, and the only company that responded in time to schedule a tour in our limited timeframe was Douglas Paul. With only one property left in the area that fit our budget, we were grateful to be able to schedule a viewing within just a few days, and by that evening, our broker Michael McKay already had the application in our hands to get a jump on the property. Unfortunately the management company for the property accepted an offer through another broker, but Michael was quick to work with the management company to get us another application rolling for a nearly identical unit that a lease breakage had made suddenly available; Michael was even able to give my roommate and I, who had already returned to Maine after our initial viewing, a video tour of the unit to make sure it was comparable. Understanding that we needed to secure a rental hastily, Michael helped us get together everything we needed to get the lease signed so that we could move in the next week. Being three hours away, the ability to make deposit and fee payments via wire and check directly to Douglas Paul was a huge time saver and made all the difference in getting into a property that was perfect for our needs, despite having only started our housing search with three weeks either of us was to start. I would certainly recommend Douglas Paul to students and professionals alike!

Two words: Gabriel Bonilla A short backstory, my husband and I are moving from California and were in need of an apartment in less than 3 weeks. Yes, we were moving to a city we had never been to in less than a month. On top of that, we needed to find a place REMOTELY from San Diego. Definitely not an easy task. If you want an agent that will go above and beyond for you, definitely ask for Gabriel. To give you a picture on how hardworking he is, he was working on a SUNDAY MORNING showing us apartments via FaceTime. He was basically our eyes and ears in Boston. Oh, and I should add, Gabriel negotiated for us and got us a better deal than we could hope for. He saved us ~$3600! BTW, he has very thorough videos of the apartments he has available. This guys does not mess around. He comes prepared for the job and is very, very responsive. My only advice is: Trust him! He will get you the apartment you want.
