My real estate agent was Jon Hill from Unity Home Group Alaska - eXp Realty, LLC - and I can only say good things about his part in helping me purchase the property when I was not even in the state. In fact, the first time I had a in-person walk-through the property, it was actually on the day of the closing! He was always prompt in replying to my questions and concerns and his answers were always supported by relevant documentation. I was a very pleasant experience doing business with him and he also offered a number of pragmatic suggestions to help navigate efficiently through this very frenzied real estate season! He introduced me to the mortgage officer and had the paperwork going on simultaneously even as the purchase related matters such as inspection were scheduled. Late October 2020 when I decided to purchase a property in Anchorage Alaska to move there. I know I have a very tight timeline as I want to be able to complete the whole process in less than 2 months despite all the pandemic restrictions and most process are taking longer than normal. I went to Zillow and look for property. I dont know anyone in Alaska and dont know any realtor to help me and my wife. We went ahead and ask for a realtor through Zillow and this was when we started our first contact with Jon Hill from Unity Home Group. My wife and I already have properties in mind and just needed someone to guide us through the whole virtual tour process as we are thousands of miles away from the property. Jon accommodated our request and scheduled our first virtual tour ever. Even we have our eyes dialed-in on the property that we liked, Jon always sends us options of similar properties which is good in case we do find a better one. Jon did an awesome Job on our tour, all questions we asked and concerns were all answered. After the tour we decided to place an offer on the property. The whole process was a roller coaster as we were doing everything online through emails after emails and e-signings. I never felt abandoned on the whole process as Jon always checks on me and provide status updates. The coordination with our Mortgage Lenders were also excellent. We did ran some troubles but I never felt abandoned with Jon and Sabra on my side. Remember the tight timeline I mentioned earlier, our goal was to close within 45days. Due to set backs, our moved-in date was in real trouble. This is when I really became impressed with how Jon help his customer. Jon went and propose an early occupancy amendment. Glad that the owners agreed to it as we were here in Alaska and no where to go. The best part is, with the help of Jon and Sabra, we were able to close before Christmas which is the best Christmas gift I have this year. I believe that this was made possible because of Jon's professional conduct and expertise. All I can say is that if you are working with Jon Hill and Sabra Gilliland, you are in best hands. Thank you so much Jon and Sabra for everything!

Everyone thinks they can sell their house on their own and save a ton of money. After all, its not rocket science, right? That's true until something unique happens. That's when a good agent is worth their weight in gold. It happened to us, and we were very glad to have Sabra Gilliand representing us. We've bought and sold several homes in the past and would easily rate Sabra as the best agent we've seen. She checks ALL the boxes. We sold our home in the midst of a sellers market. Got multiple offers in the course of the first couple days. That was the easy part - and when the real work began. The initial accepted offer fell through. Then we ended up with an attractive but unorthodox offer from an out of state buyer. The offer we finally accepted had an overly aggressive buyer's agent with a "winner takes all" mentality that they carried throughout the process. To cap things off, 11th hour septic issues arose that delayed the closing for nearly two weeks and had the potential of costing us literally tens of thousands of dollars, if not kiling the entire deal. Throughout the entire experience Sabra was in constant contact with us. We never felt pressured and there was never a hint of desperation. She carefully laid out our options at each turn and gave us the information we needed to make informed decisions. When the other agent attempted to use strong arm tactics she was diplomatic but firm, keeping our best interests at the forefront. When the septic problems came up she literally did all of the leg work (working with the engineer, coordinating the gathering of bids, overseeing the work, and working with the Municipality). The repairs ended up costing us a fraction of what it could have. This was obviously not her first rodeo. As we look back at the process, there is not a single thing we can see that she should/could have been done better. While obviously not the most uneventful transaction in which we have been involved it was definitely the most professionally represented. She turned what could have been a nightmare experience into one that we feel very good about. We would not hesitate to use her again and give her our unqualified recommendation.
