John was a phenomenal for us. - He has an ton of relevant expertise: he knows the market, he knows the process, and he even has a background in Electrical Engineering (which came in very handy in identifying potential issues before we got to the offer stage!) - He was super responsive throughout the whole process: John was always available to answer questions and was usually the one calling us to make sure everything was in order. - He's trustworthy. John Myers experience helped us in every step of the of the home buying process beginning with a discussion of potential scenarios for our home. He gave us the name of a mortgage broker and within a few months we were ready to buy a house. He was incredibly prompt and when houses came on the market that fit our criteria he scheduled an appointment that day even if it was Sunday. He was thorough in making sure the house fit our loan requirements including checking with an appraiser to make sure it was priced at market value. We made two offers on houses and the second was the perfect house. It came on the market on a Friday, I called him that day at 130 pm and we were looking at the house at 3 pm and made an offer that evening. John went the extra mile to make sure we got our dream house especially since several other buyers were ready to make offers. He made sure we got what we wanted including the charming chandelier that the owners were attached to keeping. I totally felt taken care of all the way through the home buying process. Even during closing he recommended ways to keep the paper work and appraisal in order in-case I decide to sell at a later date. I will recommend John Myers to others again and again.

As first time home buyers, we were naturally a little nervous about the whole process. After one meeting with John Myers, our fears were largely put to rest, and it only got better from there. We had reached out a few days ahead of time to start initial contact, but then saw a house we liked online - I called him at 11 AM, and we were viewing the place at noon. On a weekend. He had come prepared with a packet laying out all the steps of the home purchase process, and took almost an hour helping explain what they all entailed. That attention to detail, and to our understanding, made the entire thing feel like a certified tutorial in how to buy a home - it was great. His responses to our questions, or other issues that came up, were prompt, effective, and still gave us decision authority. When we put an offer in on a house, and it turned out to have a competing bid, he was helping us til nearly 10 PM that night to make sure we were positioned to get the home. And we did. In addition to buying the home itself, John was always willing to provide a recommendation for contractors or other service providers he knew, from lender, to inspector, to dry wall installers for repairs after the purchase was complete. He never pushed his contacts on us, only gave suggestions when we asked, and they have all been excellent as well. As a long time Albuquerque resident himself, he understood the different regions of the city well. His background in engineering also gave him a lot of insight as to typical problems that show up in houses from a structural/mechanical/electrical perspective, and he was more than willing to share. At a number of houses we looked at he would immediately point out glaring flaws, or things which could mean big issues down the road. This (among many other things) helped assure us he was actually trying to help us find the right house, not just push one through for a quick commission. It really did feel like he was our partner in the purchase. If and when we decide to move, we will be calling John as the first thing we do. We would recommend all our friends and family in the area do the same.
