From start to finish, a great experience! Two contractors attempted to clear a clogged kitchen drain. Both were unsuccessful, both suggested I open the wall to see what was going on! That's the last thing I wanted to do. Rick promptly returned my call, met me at the planned time and had the drain cleared within an hour. It wasn't easy but Rick wasn't leaving until he got the job done. Wow! Great experience.

I had Horizon snake my bathtub drain and in the process of doing so.. he ruptured an old pipe. Needless to say he couldn't do anything about it. After calling a couple outfits that told me they couldnt repair the old pipe, they could only replace it and quoted me high prices. I came across R M Plumbing online. After sending Rick's pics he immediately said that he could replace or Fix it, my choice! Also gave me a reasonable price for either choice. I decided to have it replaced. Rick had done some work for me over 10 years ago by scoping and clearing a clogged drain due to tree roots. He did a good job then as I never needed him back again for this particular residential rental property of mine. Hence 10 years later and I had an emergency at a commercial rental building with the sewer line backing up on a regular basis. After scoping the drain, it was determined that the pitch of the sewer pipe to the street was damaged and not pitched correctly (the pipe was almost 100 years old). Rick showed up early in the morning with his team and work permits in hand and worked until the job was finished. It was a challenging project as there were a significant number of tree roots next to the drain and it was very difficult digging. What would have been a 5 hour project took double the amount time. It was exhausting work and I felt sorry for how hard the team had to work to get it done. But they completed the work in a very long day and into the late night with good results. Rick was the hands on general who was a perfectionist about his work and did what he says he would do. Rick is also a raconteur with colorful stories who kept everyone amused during the long period of work.

Please believe me when i say that Rick is a very experienced and knowledgeable plumber. I have been fighting with my neighbor regarding plumbing issues through the water dept. Rick came out to give a diagnosis. He could have easily gave me a bill for the cost of repairs but told me whoever did the job recently a few months ago did not do it correctly and that i should contact them to have them come back out. My uncle was with him and watched him as he explained everything he was doing in order to snake my line and find out that it wasn’t a blockage in my line at all but some sort of problem with my curb trap.

Highly recommended!!! I was experiencing a leak from my hot waterline coming from the water heater. I called a few local plumbers to no avail. Rick is a great guy. We talked prices over phone and I told him it was a emergency because my mother has brain cancer uses the bathroom a lot. He told me he'll call me back and 5 minutes later he told me he'll be right over in 15 minutes. We had really backed up clogged up drains and he took care of it no problem. Great service! Rick called to let me know when he was coming to give an estimate, again when he was on his way over and after the job was done he called to make sure everything was still ok. He did the job on the day agreed for the price agreed. He and his son had to dig up my front yard, which was frozen solid, to repair a leak in my main waterline. He explained every thing he had to do plainly and in detail. It was a pleasure doing business with him. He also gave me a 20 year guarantee on the repair in writing.

I had a main drain block, I called Rick and he came out immediately and TV sewer Camera to check the sewer line and found out Drain is broke at Curb and gave me an estimate and as soon as he got the permit, he started his work and later on recommended me to replace main sewage line due to loaded with black sewage, and pipe is over 100 years old. He completed his work the way I expected.He was very professional at his job and friendly to me.

Rick answered the phone at 8am on a Saturday for an emergency leak. Came over within the hour, identified the problem and took all the necessary steps to fix it. Our water main probably hadn’t been shut off in 10 years and he took the time to make sure it didn’t break, which was awesome. I appreciated the attention to detail and the price was MORE than fair. Best Experience of my life. I called Horizon initially they were going to charge me up of course and for a 24/7 company didn't have any sense of urgency. I called R&M up and they immediately made themselves available. Once on the job, Rick was knowledgeable and personable as well as extremely reasonable. One additional note, Chester water company came out, and of course it was a terrible experience, while they were out I had Rick on the phone and he made sure they weren't giving me a company line. I had a water shut off valve when shut off kept on leaking a little water, this valve was the shut off for the backyard hose. If not replaced it could cause my pipe to freeze back to that valve. Rick came out right away fixed the problem by replacing the valve. He was a wonderful man and extremely neat in his work. He also gave a great price. I will surely use him again.

R&M is Awesome! We had a toilet backed up at my child care center that threatened to shut us down the next day. I called R&M after 7PM and Rick was there quickly. He snaked the drain and found some debris and thankfully did a full test to find the drain was still partly clogged. Rick then went on to snake the full drain system to the street. We tested by flushing all the toilets three times quickly. The drain was now wide open and we opened "on time" the next day. Have you ever found any plumber who calls several times after the job is completed to follow up if there is any problem after service is performed? Call Rickey, who is old schooled, taking pride and ownership of what he does and is excellent at what he does. If you are a home owner or a property manager or a landlord, if you have ANY plumbing need, call Ricky. He is highly experienced and walks you through what needs to be done and why it needs to be done. DO NOT CALL XY or Z-ROOTER. XY or Z-ROOTER sent me two different sub-contractors and no one took ownership of their acts.Gave me an estimate (of course you can imagine the price) for the problem that never existed. Ricky spent two hours, isolated the problem and fixed it. He also called the tenant to follow up and offered to call him 24/7 if problem arises. My writing does not describe what Ricky does, just experience yourself. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Ricky/R & M plumbing for any work that he can do, because that's what I will do myself.
