He gave me peace of mind! Woke up to find a water stain on the ceiling under where our water heater is located. We have already had 1 bad heater burst years ago and left us with a waterfall in our downstairs, so I feared this is where we were heading. Called around to plumbers and no one could come out for 2+ weeks. Called Richardson Plumbing and he came out on his way home from his last job site, assessed the damage, inspected my water heater, and assured me there would be no overnight waterfall. Thankful I could rest easy that night, he returned the next day as promised and found and repaired the leaky pipe. Professional, punctual, responsive, kind, and caring! Thank you, Richardson Plumbing!!

I’m doing a diy kitchen install, I saw Dave’s truck at a stop light and knew I would need some help installing the plumbing so I took a picture of his truck and I’m so glad I did. Within two days he was at my house for a quote. He told me he would be able to do the work the next day. When he showed up in the morning I wasn’t quite ready and he said no problem he would come back… most plumbers or big companies would have had me reschedule but it was no problem for him. He came back with one of his partners Mike Harrison (with Harrison contracting). Mike noticed some stuff the previous owners had done that was not up to code and he fixed it with no issues. Dave installed the plumbing for my sink, dishwasher and fridge. Amazing craftsmanship, very affordable and most of all he cares. They don’t make many people like Dave anymore. I will call him for all my plumbing needs and anything else I need fixed in my house I will call him for recommendations because I know whoever associated with Dave Richardson will do it right.

I called Richardson plumbing in a pinch with an emergency situation about sewage backing up into my downstairs. Dave said he could be to my house shortly; within 30 minutes he was at my house and got right to work. I am so thankful for David ! We found out we had a water leak from our heater on Christmas Day. I frantically started calling plumbers in the area hoping we could get on someone’s waiting list. Out of the eight plumbers I contacted, David was the only one to call me back. He asked where I was located and was over to our house immediately. Not only did he resolve the leaking issue, which would have resulted in massive water damage, he found a water heater the next day and had it installed. I can't recommend Mr. Richardson enough. Every time my almost 90 year old mother (who still lives by herself) has had plumbing issues, he has been there to assist. He installed a new water heater a few years ago that is still going strong and came to her rescue a couple of days ago when her kitchen sink was stopped up. (A 90 year old woman needs her kitchen sink....trust me!) He has fabulous customer service and beyond fair prices!

I had Richardson Plumbing come to fix my low water pressure in my master bath shower & kitchen faucet and replace a shower head on my upstairs shower, they were scheduled to arrive between 9-10 am at a few min before 10 they called to say they were on the way when they arrived they got right to work checked out my problem explained what I needed to do and said if I had any problems to give them a call and he would come back to help. I was pleased with their service & knowledge this is a family owned business & old school which was refreshing I will be calling them again if ever needed.

I've used Richardson Plumbing for a few different jobs now, and he'll always be the first person I contact from now on. I tried to use a different company (A1) that offered emergency services because I had a mainline clog happen in the middle of the night. First and foremost, David does the work himself, so you know you're not at the mercy of whatever technician a larger company sends out. After a couple of days of headache from A1 Plumbing (technician couldn't clear clog, business staff had my info incorrect and didn't send me the correct documents), David was able to come out and fix the clog within about 30 minutes. Because of the condition of my clean-out, I had him install a new one to make clearing future clogs a non event. He installed the new clean-out at about 1/3 of the price quoted to me by A1. To be fair to A1, I removed all the shrubs and dug out the old clean-out and did most of the shovel work to help him get in and out quickly so that probably saved me in some labor costs. I can't speak highly enough of David and Richardson Plumbing. He got the job done right, quickly, and at a very fair price.

My outdoor faucets were both leaking. I had 2 appointments with Richardson - one was for the diagnosis, and the other was for the actual repair. He kept both appointments, called ahead to confirm he was on the way, and showed up on time. It was not a big job, but it was still treated with importance and my time was respected. Update May 2021 David came back out without charge to repair the same water spigot that he installed five months ago. It was my fault breaking it because of going against his advise e for securing it (I used nail-anchors that were too big; he suggested using the spray foam and then cutting around it after about 3-5 days). It took about a week to get scheduled in but it was worth the wait. He again advised me on the proper procedure for securing the pipe to keep from spinning and didn't charge for a service call). David is the real deal when it comes to experience, customer service, and respect. He didn't give me a hard time about messing up the spigot and was able to salvage the spigot head the popped off the pipe. Thank you David for once again taking care of our residence. Jan 2021 David responded to my call immediately and setup an appointment for a non-emergency repair service. He is kind, honest, and willing to try to repair before resulting to replacement (cost effective). He knows the local region and has done commercial and residential work for the last 30 years. You won't regret going with Mr. Richardson, he is a honest, hard-working family man and will take care of your family and business. Thank you David. -Side note, I've only been in the region for a few years and used five plumbers from five different businesses - this was by far the best service (customer service, quality work, and price) - he beats them all from what we dealt with.

David Richardson was professional and provided my service on a Sunday. Our Gas Hot Water Heater went out late on a weekend, David explained to me how I could save $250.00 by purchasing the new water heater myself and as soon as I had gotten it home, he came over the next day (Sunday) to install it. Within two days of my boyfriend calling, Dave came out and gave us a quote after he inspected what needed to be done to complete our kitchen remodel. Other companies were several days out from being able to provide service, Richardson was able to provide next day service. So very pleased that I can once again flush my toilets. I called this service on a whim after many failed attempts from a prior plumbing service whom did not correct a reoccurring issue of a clogged toilet in two of my bathrooms at my condo. The plumbing on property is outdated and the toilets kept backing up which this time created a flood on lower level backed up toilet. I panicked and called this company on a whim and turns out it was the best service call I ever made.Dave the owner called me back promptly early the very next day which was a Sunday and agreed to drive out. He arrived all masked up and prompt and ready to do business. His attitude was a breath of fresh air and he was honest, extremely professional and caring. I explained to him that despite numerous attempts with a different vendor hired by my realtor management group that the same toilets keep backing up. He took a look after ruling out other plausible causes and determined that the so-called plumbers were not really using commercial and professional grade Augers to unclog the toilers and in turn was only pushing the waste further back enough to build up over time causing repeated clogs to occur. I was thrilled and pleased with the outcome and would never hesitate not one second to call him again! This company is the best and I highly recommend him to anyone in need of intelligent and professional yet high quality service. His pricing is very reasonable as well! I called Richardson Plumbing and David answered his phone immediately. If you have called many plumbing companies that do not have a staff sitting in the office watching the phone this is rare. Most go to voicemail and you wait, and wait, and wait for a call back. David came to the house the same day and offered to come replace my hot water heater in a couple days on a Saturday morning. Definitely recommend Richardson Plumbing! I called when I heard running water in my walls. He came the same day (flexible around my schedule and when I would be home) and was able to fix the pipe right away. He even came back another day to spray insulation once the walls had dried. David Richardson is the absolute best plumber in Hampton Roads. He recently connected our house to city sewer. Despite delays from the city in locating the sewer tap, David came out multiple times, sometimes late at night to continue helping us get connected. He's recently changed out the anode rod and flushed my hot water heater (builder didn't have the correct rod put in) and installed an additional outdoor spigot all in about 1.5 hours. First of all: Mr. Richardson is one of the nicest people I've ever met. I had a leak behind my toilet and called Richardson Plumbing based on the reviews I read on Google. Mr. Richardson showed up on-time, was incredibly polite and professional, wore a mask (a big plus for our immune-compromised household), and was quick to diagnose and fix the problem. And HE REFUSED TO LET ME PAY HIM! He said it was such an easy fix that he didn't feel right charging me. WHO DOES THAT? People, this is the "neighborly, small-town plumber" that we don't deserve in our sprawling Hampton Roads region. I'm so overwhelmed by his kindness that I'm tempted to go around my house breaking pipes just to so I can have an opportunity to pay him for his services.

I called Mr. Richardson late on a Saturday afternoon because our hot water wasn’t hot anymore. He was headed back to the shop for the day, but he turned around to check out our issue. He found our hot water heater, which is in our attic, leaking. He drained all the water that had leaked, turned it off to prevent any further issues and arrived first thing on Monday to install the new water heater because the plumbing supply was closed over the weekend. He has since followed up to see if the hot water situation was satisfactory and recommended annual maintenance checks to extend the life of the water heater. This guy makes it happen. Turns out the previous homeowners installed the old dishwasher completely wrong. Dave came out on a Sunday to diagnose water damage on the first floor ceiling of my home. The only way in was to make a small hole to see inside the completely enclosed wall space.
