Atomic plumbing returns your calls, are professional, concerned about providing quick, quality and consistent customer service. Employees seem happy to work for this company, which in turn makes for a great experience for me as a customer. Both technicians, Alan and Kale, were excellent. They were professional, courteous, and informative! After a thorough assessment they explained everything that needed to be done to fix the plumbing issues in my bathroom. As well they were on time and their cleanup was proficient. I would highly recommend Atomic for any plumbing project. THANK YOU!

I went with Atomic because of a Yelp review lauding them for their quick responsiveness. Ryan came within a couple of hours, assessed the work, and returned the next morning with Michael. Both got to work immediately, and finished the two issues separately—replacing the outside water main valve and replacing washing machine faucets with an upgraded system. Both gentlemen had good personalities, knew what they were doing, and told me everything they did. Atomic headquarters kept me informed of when they’d arrive and there were no surprises.

I want to recognize Atomic Plumbing and Drain Cleaning for operating like a well oiled machine and hiring the best people who exhibit the most professional and caring behavior in carrying out their jobs. I had a sewer clog in the main line going from the house to the street which was backing up the entire system in the house. After several days of trying to unclog the system, I finally decided to call Atomic Plumbing based on a neighbor’s suggestion. I put in a request on their website this past Sunday night and told them that my daughter and her family were visiting later in the week for Xmas and that the existing plumbing problem would not tolerate six people in the house for a few days. I got a message that evening to call the Atomic Plumbing emergency number which I did and talked to Kimberly. She was fantastic and explained to me that they would definitely take care of the problem and would have someone out sometime on Monday. I got a call from Atomic soon after they opened for business on Monday and was told that Randy, their technician, would call me about 15-30 minutes before he arrived and that I would receive an email with his picture and a short bio of Randy at that time. That happened within minutes of the call and I soon received the call from Randy. Randy arrived soon and began to get the information I could give him about the problem and find out where the clean outs were. He was a gentleman, professional, assuring and told me he thought he might know where the problem was. He immediately got to work snaking out the system all the way to the street and assured me that the problem was solved when he finished. He gave me the senior discount and was on his way well before lunch. If you read their website carefully, they did with me exactly what they explain they do as part of their normal business routine. I still have not had any problems and highly recommend their services. In today’s environment, dealing with Atomic was like a breath of fresh air.

Called for a clogged shower pipe. Office contacted me three times through the day to assure me I wasn't forgotten, and to keep me updated as to when the technician would arrive. Scott (the technician) was very polite and friendly, very open to questions, explained the steps he would work through to fix the issue, and got to work. He provided estimate before starting, quickly finished (no mess!), and discovered the final cost was less than the initial estimate. To recap: fast, professional, fixed, and cheaper than expected. I'll definitely call again if I need help with plumbing or drain, and hope they send Scott again. An all around fantastic experience. Great job Atomic!

It's been a couple years since I've used Atomic Plumbing. This time I needed a water heater replaced as the old one started leaking the night before. The customer service was excellent. I talked to Deanna to see if I could get someone out the same day. She was very nice and professional and called me back to let me know the ETA. The technicians, Justin D. and Mike Casey arrived in less than 30 min. They were both professional, prompt, and helpful. They ended up replacing the water heater and insulated the pipes. After the quick install, Justin showed me how to adjust the temp, where the on/off valve is located, and explained the State heater unit to me. I am very happy with Atomic Plumbing and the service yet again!

Scott arrived at my house on time. He respectfully listened to me explain what my problem was and he diagnosed the problem quickly. He gave me two options with the cost for each option. I asked his opinion on which option was best and he made his recommendation. I agreed to his recommendation and he quickly arranged for a smaller drain cleaning device to be delivered to the job site. Zack arrived with the device, helped snake the drain and helped remove the device. Both Scott and Zack did their best to keep my home clean and left the work area spotless. Just have to take a second to praise Atomic Plumbing for their amazing service & working eagerly to help us get the gas back on at our house! Our tech Scott P. and his team were so compassionate and hard working, they came back every day since Friday to check and triple check the repairs they made before the city came out for their inspection and then went as far as to pause another job to come hook everything back up after the inspection passed so that I could have time to get the gas company out before tempatures dropped again last night. The fact that he cared about my family especially my babies needing heat in their home, made me KNOW I chose the right company for the job! I HIGHLY recommend them for any of your plumbing needs!

Scott and Kair both did a amazing job. Both techs were very professional as well as really narrowing it down with what my issue was. Both men did a great job with keeping everything nice and tidy as they were working and we’re also pleasant to be around. Also Scott saved myself a lot of money because my insurance did not cover all of the repair for everything. I was out of pocket but not near as bad as I thought I could be. Both men are really awesome. And just from this experience loan that I had with them I hope that they both can get some well paid time off to spend some time with their families. Maybe even a holiday bonus would be great for them. If I can provide it just myself I would because they really saved me because I was without draining water for over seven days. The issue probably would’ve been done all in one day but thanks to my insurance it took over a week. I would like to use the service again if it needed to be. Even they are all the way in Virginia Beach and I am in Hampton I don’t mind them coming all the way back up here to do the work that is needed.

Purchased a new house and bought a washer/dryer and had a terrible clog in my drain pipe. Trey and Dalton came out that same morning (about a hour after my call) and spent over 2 hours at my home making sure everything was clear and that I was good to go with my washer. Trey kept me up to date throughout the process and was super helpful with all the questions I had. Finally ending off the appointment, they answered my questions about water shutoff and those new home buyer issues we all have when in a new residence. I typically dont write reviews, but I have to write this one! Our condo association had a huge problem with broken sewer pipes and tree roots. There was raw sewage backing up in many units. Two different plumbing companies were called. What it boiled down to is neither had the equipment needed to even fully diagnose our problem, much less fix it. We talked to another plumber who recommended Atomic, he told us Atomic is who he would use! He said they do good work, they're honest and they have the equipment needed. Scott Perkins, Dalton & Joey worked many hours and days to get the job done. They were always professional and friendly. Many of the neighbors would come outside and ask questions they would always patiently explain. Before the job plan was agreed to, Scott met with all the home owners with questions & answers virtually, he also met in-person with the board. He was always so easy to reach by phone or text. I can't say enough about how accommodating they were. I also have to mention that Kelly and all the office staff were always helpful and friendly. I believe everyone takes pride in their jobs at Atomic, and they should! I wish I could say all my dealings with contractors / businesses went this smoothly, but I can't. Thank you all!

Trey and Mike are a great team…they worked well together replacing a sewer line that roots pushed apart ! They got miss utility to mark all utilities and job went smooth. They replaced about 25 feet of sewer line and the clean out by the street ! The backhoe operator was great. Dug that trench carefully without disturbing gas, water or utilities ! The entire crew worked well together and my job was completed in about 4 1/2 hours. They even leveled the dirt in the flowerbed and put the pine straw back ! And even though the backhoe left some tracks in the yard it’s mich better than I expected ! I would recommend this crew any day ….knew their stuff !

I called Atomic because I wasn’t getting hot water. My hot water heater heats my house also. Low and behold I had a leak somewhere. The leak was flooding my yard and my neighboring yards. It was the week of Christmas right before the freezing weather. I was worried everything would freeze and cause more problems if I had to wait another week for the leak detection people. Scott was able to get a leak detection company out to find it ASAP. Scott was able to come out two days before Christmas while the temperature was falling and fix my leak which was down behind my water heater in my back shed. I’m so grateful for him. He did a wonderful job. He was always in touch with me letting me know what was going on. Atomic plumbing is lucky to have him as an employee. Outstanding service! Kitchen ceiling became saturated from an upstairs leak that I could not locate; called Atomic plumbing and they worked with me to get technicians out as soon as possible. Ryan and Mike showed up right on time, were both extremely professional and got to work immediately to locate the problem and talk me through their recommendations to fix the problem right away with an upfront quote that was far below what I had expected. Moving forward with the repair, they were extremely transparent with the steps they were taking and barely left a footprint getting to and repairing the piping that had been causing the leak. **edit**** after posting the review they called, sent someone out same day, and fixed the issue for free. While I was upset with the Initial service they handled my complaint very professionally and quickly. That is very appreciated*** They came to see why my shower was not diverting water to my shower head. He barley looked at it and just put a new 10 cent washer in it. Few weeks later I had the problem again. Was able to move the washer back in place and it worked for a while longer. Now a few months later is even worse and readjusting the washer is not helping. I really feel like this was a band aid. $200 dollars for them to come out, just for them to not get to the root of the problem.

Techs 'Trey A' and 'Mike C' arrived with the intention of resolving a slow drainage issue and installing a popup assembly. Due to their thorough inspection and patience, they discovered a pipe leaking under the crawl space. In addition to that, they determined an issue under the kitchen sink after I mentioned that I saw water on the floor once which had not happened again. I was told 'we won't leave until we make sure everything is ok'. They were very kind and professional. They worked quickly, but were very thorough and very knowledgeable. It was as though I had been sent angels because I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. the work was fine but it was just way too overpriced for what they did. We chose atomic because it came so highly recommended and we have never had to use a plumber since moving here. While the work was done well it was just too high of a price and we wish someone warned us they are one of the highest priced in the area. While the workers were understanding I was caught off guard by the price they mentioned a warranty as being a selling point. What they didn’t mention is that it’s a one year warranty on a pipe that realistically should outlive me. So that was pretty disappointing. We aren’t necessarily upset with the work but $600+ (after a military discount) for less than 12” of pipe when we identified the exact location of the leak, the exact place on the pipe that was cracked, removed the carpet, removed the drywall, and baseboards for them, then they did barely over an hour of work it was just way overpriced. (Literally $600 for an hour of work and parts- I wish that was my salary!) For that cost on something that ended up being quite a simple fix for an expert I would have went with someone else. That one year warranty just isn’t worth the high price tag.

My mom's sewer drain backed up, and my hand-crank snake wasn't doing the job. Called Atomic and they were an absolute joy. Very fast response time after I placed the initial call, tech (Justin) was there in less than an hour, got everything cleared out and moving, hardly any fuss at all. The price felt reasonable and truly, it was such a relief to know everything was working right again. He even fixed up the drain on the side of the house that's been busted for literal decades (the one that almost everyone ends up running over with their lawn mower at some point). Trey A III and Will C came this morning to check out the situation. After looking over my Whirlpool Water Heaterthey both advised me since it was 9 yrs old repairing it would be wasting my money. They suggested a new water heater, laid out the cost for me and asked what I wanted to do. The price was very reasonable and they could have it all done within 4 hrs.I agreed and was never happier with the end results. My fixtures on my last heater were obsolete and were replaced This included cutoff valves. Both Trey and Will were very professional and kept me informed in every decision making step. At 4:00 am I heard running water . I jump out of bed to find water coming from my hot water heater in my attic. Needless to do I was panicking. I YouTube how to turn off the water supply I climbed up and shut that off then hooked a hose to the heater and did my best to drain it. I couldn't find the correct breaker to shut the power to it. Stressing out to the max I googled emergency plumbing. The first I called. Keep in mind it's now a little after 5:00 am. The first I called was a answering service said tomorrow. The next I called was Atomic plumbing. The answering service said the Deanna normally calls with in 15 min. ( I was thinking yeah right). Sure enough in 15 minutes she called. She could hear I was stressed and panicking. She was very reassuring and said it's a emergency and would move me to the front of the line. And I would get a call around 8:00. ( I was feeling a little better just talking with her but had my doubts about a timely call back. ). Sure enough I got a call at 7:50 am and said they could be there in 20 minutes. Sure enough Trey and Michael show up in less than that. Man these two were on it. They could tell I was stressing and the both immediately reassured me they had this and gave me a confidence I have never experienced with a plumbing company before. Michael showed me the breaker and even labeled it for me. Then Trey and he got to work. Trey came down and gave me the estimate and explained my options. I picked one and they got to work. I came home for lunch at1:00 and they were sweeping my floors. From Deanna to Trey and Michael I was handled and treated with genuine friendliness , empathy and professionalism . They called me back that night and scheduled an appointment for first thing the next morning. They called by 8:30 to say they would be there in a 1/2 hour. Mid afternoon call made to Atomic when kitchen sink and washer drains were backed up. Then discovered bathroom commode when flushed made the tub gurgle. Tech Ryan arrived within an hour which was faster than expected or promised. Cleaned the main line and then the kitchen. Sounds simple enough but it wasn't. Now all is flowing like a rivers stream. After putting away his equipment and inspecting everything before for the day he noticed that the disposal was leaking under the sink. It was at the end of the day now. To avoid overtime pay he said he would come back in the am. Since I don't have a dishwasher I said let's not replace the disposal but re plumb the drain. He arrived on time today and finished the project. This is my second experience with Atomic and it's equal to if not better than the first thanks to Ryan Dean. Ryan is a true profession. From arriving, surveying the issues, explaining the costs, work performance it was excellent. Nothing in today's world is cheap or free. The price paid to Atomic is worth it. That's a good feeling to be satisfied. I would suggest to all future customers reading this without previously calling Atomic to do so. Matter of fact even if you have a problem tell them as it will only be an opportunity for them to improve. All companies we call irreguardless of trades need the feed back. I will call them in the future when a need arises. Was impressed enough that I called the supervisor and informed him how good the service was. Mike and Ryan visited us for what we thought was a leak in our drainage line. It actually ended up being a clog that was causing water to leak through the wax ring in our upstairs toilet. It was on the expensive side for having a roto done to clear it out but they did the job very quickly and got us up and running again. They do offer a military discount as well which was nice. The thing that really stood out for me though was I planned to install a new toilet that I grabbed prior to their arrival and they noticed I had purchased the wrong feed line for the new toilet. They not only provided me the correct one but they pointed out the flange for the toilet was lower in the floor which likely caused the leaking as there was only one wax ring on the old toilet. They gave me two wax rings and told me to stack them and that should provide better protection in the future if we were to have another clog down the road. They also showed me where the view port is for our line that goes out to the sewer main in case I needed to troubleshoot any flow problems down the road. Excellent. We have been using Atomic Plumbing for years. They are consistently excellent which is a tribute to the owner, management and technicians they employ. Justin and Will came out for this call - they were respectful, knowledgeable and efficient and got a complicated drain system for a condo complex cleaned out and restored to service promptly. The also took all the recommended CDC recommendations for Covid transmission prevention and properly and extensively protected the apartment infrastructure from being impacted by their work. Late afternoon on March 9th, I thought that I heard water dripping in the area of our bathrooms. Upon checking the city meter, my suspicions were confirmed. I asked a friend of mine who is a retired contractor who he would call? He said that since since he retired he had suggested Atomic to several of his former customers. We called Atomic and they scheduled us for the next day.(Wednesday) . Wednesday morning, there was an email from Atomic telling me when I could expect a plumber. Randy initially came out to our home to replace a drop in kitchen sink. What I really appreciated about him was he came in listened to what we were looking to do. He assessed the situation, looked at the sink and diagnosed the problem and concluded that the current cast iron sink we had was in really good shape and saw that all we really needed was to repair the drain area under the sink. He gave us prices for three different options and from those options let us decide which was the best option based on price. Some companies would have come in pulled the sink knowing it could be repaired just to make more money off the job and we would have been none the wiser that repairing the sink was an option. He also replaced the garbage disposal as well while under the sink he noticed some wood damage from previous leaks that occurred in the past. While his company did not do that type of work he offered suggestions on what route we could go to repair them. VERY PLEASED with Randy’s professionalism and quality service. My water heater stopped making hot water and my husband could not get the pilot light started. I found reviews of Atomic on-line and remembered the commercials on tv and the radio. My husband had a friend at work which also recommended Atomic. We called and Atomic sent Sean D and Paul. They arrived within an hour. They were very professional, in a neat uniform and represented Atomic well. Sean and Paul explained what was wrong and gave me a repair price and a replacement price and explained both. They did not pressure me into which decision I should make like other companies I have had in the past. We chose to replace the water heater. They came early in the morning to do the job as we had plans later in the afternoon. They finished early and cleaned up in no time. I was very impressed with both of these employees as they are an asset to your company. I called Atomic Plumbing today after a really disappointing experience with another well known plumbing company earlier. As a first time customer with Atomic, I was really impressed. Sean and Paul arrived in less than an hour. Their friendly and professional attitude was a drastic change from the other plumber. They took the time to explain the issues and got the water heater back on. I was charged a flat service call fee which was way cheaper than what the other guy wanted to charge (an unreasonable $179) for trying the pilot light before any diagnostic. Cold water alerted us that something was wrong with our 10 year old water heater. We called Atomic Plumbing on a Saturday evening and they had appointments available the very next morning! The ladies answering the phones were incredible and the system they have in place to alert you when your technician will be coming is top notch (including a picture and information about your technician in e-mail form). We found our technician, Randy, to be honest, professional and incredibly talented. He diagnosed our problem in a short amount of time, gave us several reasonable options and was able to give us a brand new water heater the next day for a great rate. I called Atomic because we had a substantial problem where we noticed water coming through the brick exterior wall of our home outside the kitchen. Honestly, I called Craig Plumbing because we had used them in the past. He said he knew what it was because he'd seen it many times in my neighborhood and would be out the next day. I waited at home all day and he never showed! I'm actually glad that happened because that was when I called Atomic. Justin Ricker came out with a colleague of his, unfortunately I can't remember his name, but they were both so friendly, informative, very knowledgeable and pleasant! The job was done in no time and I actually messaged Justin later to say that I loved the way the new plumbing looked. That may sound funny, but it was re-designed and looked much nicer and much more efficient the way he installed the new pipes. This was a job that was a very big deal to us and we were fully comfortable trusting Atomic (Justin) with the job. We are very happy with the results and will stick with Atomic going forward, without a doubt!!!

We called Atomic as our landlords were taking a bit to have a quote sent to us for our slow kitchen drain. Atomic quoted someone to come out between 12-5 the dame day we called. We got a call back letting us know a tech was on their way and Sean D. showed up. Sean was super nice and friendly upon arrival and the entire time he worked on our sink. He asked what happened so far and was not frustrated that I wasn't able to provide him with details as my significant other hadn't filled me in on what had happened with the sink. So, Sean took time to see what was going on so he could work on it. While Sean was here, I learned a lot about all the ways that people come and fix things. I appreciated being told what the possibilities were for how things could get fixed if there was a worst case scenario and how he would handle it. All in all, Sean's customer service skills are top notch and if we have another issue, I hope everyone at Atomic is the same if we don't get him again. He let us know that the drain issue is common because of the exit plug on the outside of the house and that was good knowledge to have in general. Out service with Sean was quick, informative, but he definitely paid attention to detail and now our kitchen sink drain is working as it should. Very happy customers!

They provided me with options and didn't try and strong arm us into service we didn't need. Drain backup in utility sink last night after hours. I knew exactly who to call after using Atomic Pluming and Sean D several years ago. It is interesting that although it was 4 years ago the service was so good that I remembered them. If anything the service was better this time if that was even possible. The communications from Atomic on the scheduling and heads up of when to expect the tech was excellent. Sean D is as good as technician in the plumbing field as you will find. Thank God for good plumbers and specifically Sean. Give him a bonus or a raise for sure. He is very knowledgeable and efficient on how to best do the job required and proposes several solutions. Lets you know how the job went. Right up front on the cost. He is enthusiastic about his work and craftmanship. My job was not inexpensive but I knew the job would be done right the first time and after the work has been completed I would say worth the expense. If you need a good plumber use Atomic and Sean, you will not find any better.

Today we woke up on Day 1 of a 3 day Holiday weekend to our main sewer line backed up. All the toilets and sinks were backing up; we were unable to use the water at all. Panic ensued... Then we called Atomic pluming and another company in the hopes that someone would call us back. Based on various reviews and a number of references on the Next Door app, I decided to select Atomic Plumbing for the first time. The initial call to set up an appointment was easy and the representative explained the diagnostic fee and billing process clearly. For clarity, we had some plumbing repairs that didn't require same-day attention, so I was not off-put that we had a service call scheduled for the following week. One of our requests was to install a couple of new shower heads I ordered, which were expected to arrive before the service call. We also had a couple of slow-draining sinks and another sink that had low water pressure. The company's office staff were extremely communicative, sending emails the day I called to schedule an appointment, the day before service, and several emails the day of service. In addition, I received a call an hour into the 4-hour window to inform me of the status of the next available technician. Also, one of the emails I received before the technician's arrival included a picture and a short bio of the technician assigned to us. I have never received such outreach before by any contractors! The technician Robert had arrived within a couple of hours into the scheduled time. He was professional and possessed an even-keeled demeanor. He quickly assessed our needs and gave us the proposed quote. Each time he entered the house he made sure to put boot covers and a mask on, he asked us to check his repairs to ensure we were pleased, and he made sure to clean up the work areas before he left. I was satisfied with the service we received and would use Atomic Plumbing again and ask for Robert to be assigned to us.

Unfortunately, the blockage was on our end, but yet, fortunate enough Atomic was on their way to help. Brian showed up and identified where our sewer line was and also explained all possibilities. After discussing our options and the flat rate of service, Brian got to work and was able to successful snake our pipes and fix the issue. I recently had to have my drain pipes in my home re-piped and while Atomic wasn't the least expensive (or the most), they more than made up for it by quality and dependability and were very responsive. They are no fly by night company and stand by their work. Scott Perkins was the plumber at my home over multiple days for the very large undertaking. He oversaw the replacement of both my drain and water pipes from the city connection to my home and all the drains and main stack in my crawlspace. He went to great lengths to make sure things were done the right way and took the time to answer the many questions I had during the process. He personified what it means to be a professional and is a great reflection upon not only himself but Atomic as well. I would recommend him/Atomic to anybody, and in fact I did and I was surprised to see a $50 credit for my next service arrive in the mail. I doubt I will be requiring that anytime soon however, with the high quality of Scott's work.

I liked his conservative approach and the job was completed to my total satisfaction. I would guess that there are less expensive plumbers available, but you are going to get experienced and professional work with Atomic Plumbing.

Jimmy P from Atomic was excellent! Very friendly and knowledgeable. I normally complete all of our plumbing issues but the issue we had this last time was beyond his ability because I could not locate a 2nd access point to our sewer drain. Jimmy was able to probe with a camera and use a pressure bladder to both break the clog and locate the other access point for our next clog. Definitely not cheap because the charges are per task instead of per hour, but it was worth the money to know it would be done correctly.

I never write reviews for company's but I was throughly impressed and very pleased with the service of this company...so much that i'm here writing a review. I called due to having an outdoor spigot that hadn't worked in 5 years. First, the receptionist (i'm sorry i don't remember her name) was great, very professional, and easy to explain my issue to. I asked to rescheduled to another day due to me not wanting a tech working out in the rain, and they accommodated and had me first in line the next day. Then Robin came out and fixed what i thought would be a complex issue, in 5 minutes (and he didn't make me feel dumb for it being a simple fix)! Overall, i'm extremely pleased with this company, this is my second time using them and will continue in the future if need be.

Awesome! I have never had to call a plumber before and I selected atomic mostly because I saw how many best of the beach awards they have. Probably the best idea I had that day because they are wonderful people! Deanna was very nice and understanding. She listened to me ramble (a little) about my issue and set my family up for an appointment quickly. Deanne provided me with great info. She gave me options and was concerned about meeting our schedule needs. A truely delightful lady that is a pleasure to speak to. Atomic came out the next day and fixed our problem quickly, at a great value all around. I honestly hope I will not need a plumber again but I will always call atomic if I do! I was provided with tremendous service. Our technicians, Ryan and Scott, were professional and solved our problem quickly. Ryan took the time to explain what was causing our sewage line blockage and the different options that were available to us to try and resolve it. I don’t doubt the expertise of this business, and would agree with professionalism and punctuality. However, when I called to schedule the appointment I already knew my issue. I had a bad cartridge in my shower, causing water not to come out of the faucet and shower head. I explained this when making the appointment. Technicians came out and confirmed the issue, I was prepared to have them repair it until they provided the quote of $568!!!! I said the part costs $40 and it’s takes 10-15 minutes to replace! I was beyond shocked and disappointed. The price included a $100 trip fee because they didn’t have the cartridge (yet they advertise “fully stocked trucks”). But even at $468, the price was still ridiculous considering the type of repair. If plumbers make $2000 an hour, I need to switch profession. They made $69 for basically confirming what I had already told them...I guess they are still winning. UPDATE 01/17/2020 - the owner responded to my original post, asking me to contact the office to discuss my experience. I contacted them this morning and spoke to Paul. I shared my thoughts on the pricing based on the nature of the repair and he appreciated the input and said they would review their rate sheets. He also offered to refund the $69 service fee, which was much appreciated! The responsiveness and open-minded attitude towards hearing me out really demonstrated their commitment to being respectful business owners, and shows pride in business ownership. I had my home completely re-plumbed with new water and drain lines and install a new tankless hot water heater for 2 baths, laundry and a new kitchen. Sean and Zach did an outstanding job. Both the technicians were courteous and very knowledgeable. Sean and Zach helped me today. We had some old pipes that due to stress on the joints and age had come apart. They both did plenty of research to find the issue, went over the costs with me and recommendations. Once we agreed on the fix they went to work and knocked it out. The shower/tub now drains perfectly, I dont have to worry about the pipes being an issue in the future and they cleaned up their mess and recommend a good dry wall tech to fix the very small cut they had to make. This was my first time using Atomic Plumbing but I wont use anyone else again. I had 2 other companies look at this issue over the last year, only Atomic Plumbing took the time to use a camera and fully test and find the problem so it could be corrected. I really cant say enough about their work. Thanks again to them for putting my master bathroom back into service.

I’m putting my house on the market and needed a (very) quick fix to a drippy shower head. The reviews for Atomic Plumbing on the Nextdoor app were excellent, so I gave them a call. They were able to accommodate me very quickly and sent Ryan out to troubleshoot the problem. He was knowledgeable, he was fast, he was friendly, and after learning I was selling my house, he went above and beyond. He knows how to coax older plumbing fixtures into operating order (just call him the pipe whisperer), he knows the building code inside and out (he pointed out several issues a home inspector might incorrectly flag and armed me with documentation with which to counter) and he repaired several small problems I was unaware of - a big help when you want your home to be welcoming to new owners. The company is great to work with and Ryan is a Master Plumber who really embodies the title. They should really consider cloning him.

His friendly nature put us at ease to ask questions about how the system works and he is happy to explain. We will need to have two cleanouts installed. I highly recommend Robin and will ask for him to perform the clean out installations when we are ready to have it done.

I've used Atomic twice, now, for two separate issues, and both times they've been fantastic. They were able to get out to my house in a timely manner, and they have arrived well within the time window I'd been given. On both occasions, they were even finished prior to the end of the arrival window! Today, I had Eric Toupin out to fix a leak in my kitchen faucet, during which he discovered that the entire faucet was out of commission. Eric gave me a number of options about the fix, and I wound up telling him to just have a faucet delivered from the office. Eric wasn't pushy about any of the options, and gave me time to think and quotes prior to engaging in any repairs. (That military discount *really* helps, too!) He, like those that came out for the first issue with a shower, was wonderful. Eric was knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. While I hope that I have no further problems with my plumbing in the future, I also know that should they arise, Atomic will be my first call, and I'll be recommending them to my friends as well!

My home warranty fell through in getting my issue repaired in a timely manner before Hurricane Dorian may or may not make an impact in Norfolk so I said screw it and called Atomic. Someone answered the phone the first time I called, I made an appointment for the next day with multiple time slots to choose from. A few hours later someone else called to confirm everything and get a bit more details. The next day Ryan D. showed up on time and had everything he needed to do the job in his truck. He was polite and friendly, explained everything clearly, and was done in less than an hour. During a dishwasher install the technicians busted the water supply line going to the dishwasher. In order to stop the flooding we had to turn off the water to the entire house. I called on a Sunday and the office was very honest in telling me it would be half price for an estimate if I waited until Monday morning. I scheduled an appointment for Monday morning and received an email that Ryan would show up between 8-10am. My wife received a call at 9am saying he was 45 min away. He showed up at 930am and examined the issue and gave her the estimate. Once the price was agreed on he had to run and get some parts, but returned and had the entire faucet replaced by 1130am. I have used atomic a couple of times and have received nothing but great service! When we first bought our house, we hadn't moved to the area yet and weren't moving for another month. We drove down for a weekend to get the A.C. replaced, and found the sink in the master bath (that the previous owner just had installed) had flooded the whole bedroom. I believe it was Eric who helped us, and he was wonderful. Despite it being July, and no A.C, he took care of us without complaint. And because we were going back home in the next couple days he made sure to get it done quickly! Recently we decided to replace our water heater and didn't hesitate to call Atomic. Ryan and Zach helped us this time and provided the same level of service I expected! They were polite, clean and made sure everything went smoothly. Atomic is definitely a little pricer than some smaller companies, but you get what you pay for and I'd rather pay to get it done correctly the first time than later when your water line snaps in the master bathroom and you're out of town.

I am not one to give out excellent reviews very often. However, I am very impressed with the service I received from Atomic Plumbing. They arrived exactly when they said they would. They were authentic in their concern that the job be done on time. The technician, Ryan D. was extremely professional and very courteous. Immediately, we could tell he was competent and could be trusted to do a great job. He diagnosed the problem and let us know what our options were. Once we decided, Ryan went right to work and did an OUTSTANDING job. What I thought would take several hours took much less time. We will ask for Ryan again when we get our shower fixtures replaced this summer. I strongly recommend this company to everyone in the Hampton Road area!!!!!

We replaced our 50 gallon hot water heater in the attic with a new tank less water heater and relocated it to the garage. This was not an ordinary water heater replacement because it required running new water lines from the attic to the garage and also running a new gas line to the tank less unit, Once it was determined where the lines could be run, Brad and his helpers, Aron and Brian, got right to work. The process took 2 visits due to having the new gas line inspected by the city before connecting it to the new unit. I would like to personally thank Brad, he was an absolute professional. I called Atomic on Easter morning when finding my water heater was leaking. I spoke with the answering service who contacted a technician who called me back 10 minutes later. After looking up our account, he said that Sean would be there within the hour. Sean arrived promptly and assessed the situation saying another water heater would need to be installed. He then called another serviceman to pick up the heater from the shop while Sean began to drain the tank and prepare for the new heater. Since the newer heater is more energy efficient, the piping needed to be entirely replaced. All throughout the process, Sean let me know what was happening every step of the way. I don't believe I've encountered a more courteous, helpful, friendlier, and nicer service technician than Sean. He made sure to have on shoe covers which was helpful on a rainy day. After he left, I had to perform almost no cleanup which is amazing for a water heater exchange/install. Give this man a raise! Thank you Atomic!

Atomic Plumbing came out when they said would. Gave me a fair price and was completed with the job in less than an hour. Jimmy was very nice and respectful of my property. I had an estimate from A1 plumbing at first, and they were trying to take me for a ride. Telling me I needed much more than was necessary. They set a date and time to come out and do the work on the day of their estimate which cost me $125. Then they never showed up.

Absolutely AMAZING service! Justin D. came out to fix a pipe that was broken at the wall from contractors who were removing my countertops and sink. Other plumbers came out but were not prepared for the job and unable to perform the work needed. Unfortunately, to get to the broken pipe he had to cut away at the back of my cabinets and drywall. He told me it would be a “rough” cut but it needed to be done to fix it correctly. Well, he not only fixed the pipe beautifully, the “rough” cut was done perfectly and with precision. It literally looks better after he did all of the work. To top it off my house smells good from the cleaning he did afterwords. He cleaned and wiped out the bottom on my cabinets that now look 100 times better than before he got here. Thank you so much for coming out and saving the day for us! I recommend Justin D. 100%. Called Atomic Plumbing at 7pm last night and they were able to schedule this afternoon to repair a leaky hot water heater supply valve. Sean had the challenge of a cramped space, but had all the tools necessary. His craftsmanship on a replacement valve and fittings was excellent and is warrantied for a year. I called Atomic Plumbing & Drain Cleaning because I was having trouble with my water heater. I chose Atomic because of the awesome service I received during a previous call when I had a different plumbing problem. I called at 7:00 am on a Saturday morning and received a call back at 7:30 from Beverly. She took my information and assured me that a technician would be out early that afternoon. She called back at around 1:00 pm to let me know that Jay S. would be arriving shortly and sure enough he did. Jay S. was courteous and professional. He assessed the problem and presented me with the options. Surprisingly, one of the options was to do nothing. There was absolutely no pressure. I authorized him to proceed with the service and he replaced the thermostats in the water heater in less than 30 minutes and everything was up and running perfectly. I appreciate good, thoughtful customer service. I never felt pressured or that I was being taken advantage of. The choice was always mine. The last thing you want to see is your toilet backing up in the shower late at night. I went online to set up an appointment and got an immediate response. The whole process was great from the time I made the appointment to the 30 min alert for arrival. Justin was fantastic, really friendly, informative and professional. I would have to say the experience I had with Atomic and their technician Robert was amazing. He got to my house around 9:30 and didn't leave until 2:30. We needed a water heater replaced with a pan put under it and a drain to the outside installed. He worked diligently. He never left to go and get supplies the supplies were brought to him which I think is awesome. Very nice and respectful guy. I am really glad that I called Atomic! Pricing was very reasonable as well.

Extremely fast response and fix after having an unforeseen flood in the kitchen (1 hour arrival post broken pipe). Our technician, James, was professional and gave us all our options for the fix. He checked all our water sources (showers, toilets, faucets) to ensure that we didn't have a hidden leak anywhere in addition to the broke pipe. Hopefully we don't need Atomic Plumbing again for emergency service but if it should happen, we will 100% call them.

My experience started with a claim being denied by my home warranty company due to improper installation of a gas line and water heater from my homes previous owners. Needless to say I was in a bind with a pipe leaking somewhere between my attic and my hot water heater for my Apollo Heating system. It was late in the day when I called Atomic but the female who answered the phone was very polite, understanding and knowledgeable. My appointment was set up for the next morning. I was assigned Justin Duke as my Plumbing Technician. Justin showed up on time with a very positive attitude and began to evaluate my problem. Justin identified issues with the way my system was connected for hot water as well as the gas line. Justin provides me with multiple options that would best fit my budget and didn’t push anything on me. Once I made my decision Justin immediately went to work. This was no easy task and it took up his whole day. Justin and his apprentice David worked tirelessly to complete this job in a timely manner and without compromising the quality of their work. When all was said and done both Justin and David still had a very positive attitude and left a lasting impression on not only myself, but my whole family. I was beyond impressed with the vast knowledge and experience that Justin has and by his dedication for his job. The work ethic that was displayed by Justin and David are second to none. These two gentlemen made a horrible situation into a great situation by their display of honesty, professionalism and dedication. I will without question, reach out to them in the future for any of my plumbing or drain issues. Again I want to express my deepest thanks and appreciation tor Justin and David. Although the customer service representatives at Atomic Plumbing stated that a variety of options would be presented during the initial interview, the choices for hot water heater replacement were limited. Only one manufacturer was discussed. Ryan D. is confident, experienced, and clean mechanic. He was timely for both the initial appointment and installation appointment. I believe that changing the elevation of the hot water heater was an unnecessary expense. The pipe runs and exterior vent on the siding of the house look very good and the hot water heater functions to expectations. Ryan D.'s temperature setting seems ideal. The receipt for services does not break down material, labor, permitting. I do like the 10 year warranty on material and labor although the copy of the warranty sent did not arrive. Ryan D. cleaned up after himself, communicated well, and addressed my concerns promptly. It was a quick turn around from phone call to estimate to installation, which is particularly notable since the installation was done on the Friday after Independence Day. UPDATE: Terrific customer service, not mentioned previously, is worth noting as Beverly contacted me about the above. An inspection is in the works. The city allows up to six months for the site survey. I removed the comment that was contrary to that policy. The operations manager has been contacted about the change to the placement of the heater. Beverly knows that the warranty paperwork and welcome letter had been sent. My wife recalls seeing it in the USPS app, but not in our mailbox. It is to be sent via email this week.

I had experienced flooding from poor workmanship by one of their competitors, who then refused to help me. We had a great experience with Atomic! We had a clogged drain that was unfortunately was not able to be cleared the first day they tried despite a valient effort by the specialist Jimmy. The job needed more in-depth work that was not able to be completed that day. Despite this not being Atomic's fault, they agreed to put half of what I paid for the unsuccessful repair towards their next attempt (thank you to Paul, one of the Managers). This was much appreciated! Another appointment was scheduled, and Robert came out. He was able to fix it this time and made sure to honor the previous agreement. Atomic Plumbing and Drain.I can very highly recommend Atomic Plumbing. I had my hot water heater replaced with an ultra high efficiency gas model with a computerized performance package. I also had the main water shutoff valves replaced and a new toilet bowl flange replaced which was set into the concrete slab. My technician was Matt L. his work was nothing but perfect. I would ask for him by name if you were to have Atomic do work for you. I am so very impressed with Matt L’s work; I would change his title from Technician to Technologist. Atomic gave me an excellent price, and worked until all the work was done to my satisfaction. I will have no indecision about who to call if I need any other plumbing work done.

Had a main line back up on a cold rainy day. I checked google for a reliable plumber and called the first one that came up which was Atomic. Called and talked to DeAnne and she was very helpful. She had Ryan call me and I told him what was going on, he told me he would be here in 15 minutes. 12 minutes later Ryan pulled in and I showed him the problem, he told me the price and I told him to go for it. Ryan had this power snake the likes of which I have never seen before, it not only powered through the clog with no problem he was able to tell me how far down the pipe the clog was to within a couple of feet by the number of sections he used to reach it. To be on the safe side He ran the snake a few feet past the clog which put it just past the city clean out. Both DeAnne and Ryan were courteous and professional and got my problem resolved quickly and at a reasonable cost. I will be recommending Atomic to everyone I know. Hopefully Ryan will be able to take care of others with his wonder snake.

Had a major problem with a broken and leaky pipe in my bathroom this morning and called atomic. The woman that helped me over the phone through the process was a woman named Kimberly and she was very friendly, polite, amd helpful. As far as the company they were very fast with a same day response and very accurate on theit appointment time. When Mr jimmy arrived he was very friendly and knowledgeable about the situation and eased my mind about it. He did a very thorough job. Five stars for customer satisfaction, 1 star for pricing of my particular problem. Read this in its entirety: Two days after having a technician go to my house, the business called and offered me a refund for the $69 service fee. I applaud their customer service, however I do believe their prices are high for snaking a drain. Here's the story: Water was being backed up from the washer drain pvc pipe. I called Atomic and told them it was likely a clog. Their prices are set based on the job, not the time required to perform the job and I was not given a price over the phone for snaking a drain. So, I asked them to go out to the home and knew I would be charged $69 for a service fee. So they called me and wanted $250! to snake the drain. A 25' snake costs $25 from Home Depot and will take about 5 minutes to complete. Absolutely ridiculous. I should've done it myself in the first place, but never thought they would charge that much. If you have something that you can fix yourself, do it and don't waste your money. However, if you're in need of a company that does care about its customers and for projects that you may not be able to do, give Atomic a call.

5/3 - EDITED, Update below original review. I really can't understand how a company that charges twice the going rate for a service can get such good reviews on here. Yes, they do good work and they show up promptly, but I was charged over $1700 for a gas water heater replacement, and the going rate is between $600 and $800. The worst part was, I knew I was being ripped off, and even told the technician his quote was ridiculously high, but because I'm a military wife with young children and my husband is currently away, I didn't have enough time or resources to be able to find another plumber before the weekend started, and I had to go with their insanely priced estimate. I had warning bells going from the minute they told me they would charge me $65 for the diagnostic (though I already knew what was wrong, just wasn't about to tackle that complicated of a job myself). But because someone had recommended them and their google reviews were good, I proceeded with the service call. And, despite the fact that my military base stickers are on my car, which the technician saw, he certainly didn't mention their "military discount" when he ran the numbers. If you're in an emergency situation and willing to pay more than twice the rate you'd otherwise pay for a decently-done job, go ahead and call them - but I will NEVER AGAIN do so. Lesson learned. UPDATE: The owner, Jim Steinle, contacted me and expressed deep concern over my experience. This company is absolutely on point when it comes to their customer service; I wasn't happy, and he made it right by listening to my concerns as well as refunding my account a significant amount to defray the cost that I had paid. Very impressed by their commitment to stand by their guarantee of 100% customer satisfaction. Again, their work was solid, their technician polite and on time, and the work completed in a timely fashion.

Atomic Plumbing received my call re urgency at 7:30AM and by 8:45 9:00AM, the super men of Plumbing-- Bryan and Darin--arrived with 2 trucks, and a new water heater! They jumped in to stop the immediate crisis, and proceeded with meticulous care to stop water damage, break down wall where needed, and removed water heater and replaced it. They wear paper booties, are careful with moving things, and the clean up exceeded expectations. At their recommendation, used Water Damage Solutions who shifted their schedule and came to assess, and perform mold prevention as quickly as possible. Randy was on time and very friendly. He came in and surveyed the problem. We discussed two possible solutions (replacing the kitchen faucet with a unit I had purchased a while ago or having him replace the faucet with one of the new Delta faucets where the spray handle retracts into the faucet.) I decided on the second option. He let me know he didn't have one on the truck and would have to get one. He told me how long it would take to get one. I still had the option to switch back to my existing set, but the amount of time was reasonable, and the added cost to upgrade to the nicer faucet was fairly close to how much I had researched to be the cost of that faucet. Randy was finished in a very reasonable amount of time. He brought rugs to put down so that he wouldn't get my floor dirty. He cleaned up after himself, and was very professional. I would be pleased to have him come back and do plumbing in my house again, should it be necessary. I have a 5 year warranty on my new faucet.

So my spicket out back became stripped and had a pretty bad leak. Atomic had a 24hr on call service line and I was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. When I got off work earlier than expected they sent someone out early to take care of the problem. James arrived and was super polite, professional and very informative of what he was doing and why. Because of the way my house is set up he had to rig an extra fitting on my pipes and didn't stop working til he was satisfied the job was done correctly. I've had no issues with my spicket since he installed a new one and zero leaks where he cut and replaced piping. He was honest and upfront about the whole process and I am tremendously satisfied with his work and should another problem come up I can't fix myself I know who I'll be calling.

Last Saturday we had a huge plumbing problem in the bathroom and were in desperate need of a plumber. Atomic Plumbing, ala Sean and his crew-mate, Paul, helped me establish an alternate source for heating my house than a 30+ year old furnace with location issues up in a difficult to access part of my attic, as well as with repair issues on it components-due to it being Jerry-rigged into that space for its functioning. The original contractor was giving me the one option of buying a $10k+ HVAC unit. I looked for other ways, found the vented, oxygen level regulated gas wall space-heaters with a cost and installation price that was confirmed by Atomic's estimate to be less than 1/5th of what I'd be spending if I followed the first contractor's suggestions. Sean and Paul came out and did an efficient job getting the gas lines into position for the inspection and later mounting of the wall-heaters. They were personable, as well as professional, in their duties. I was impressed to the point of assurance by what they did and said-unlike other contractors. I want to thank, also, their office personnel, Deanna, Tiffany, and Melissa whose scheduling and administrative work made the job and payment as expeditious as I'd want it. Called Atomic at about 5:45 on Friday night because our hot water heater had water coming out of the pressure pipe steady for almost an hour. Mylissa answered the phone and was very helpful and said someone could be out in an hour. Jimmy P. arrived in about an hour. Examined the issue and stopped the water coming from the pressure relief. We decided to replace the 13 year old water heater in stead of just fixing the issue and waiting for another to develop. Jimmy P. said he would be back out with the new water heater at 8:00 on Saturday morning. He was on time and ready to go. He jumped right into getting things done while Javier G. was on his way with the new water heater. Jimmy P. and Javier G. did a great job doing the removal and install and worked great together. Best part of this was the pricing, I like the flat rate charge by the job, not by the hour. I found their pricing to be very reasonable!! Great job done by Atomic, Jimmy P., Javier G., and Mylissa!! You'll get our business again.

After a failed DIY project left us with no water on a late Saturday night, Atomic was my first call Sunday morning. They were there within two hours to assess and quote the repair and had completed the job within 3 hours. They do not charge by the hour nor additional fees for afterhours work. They charge by the job which is reassuring for an emergency repair as some companies will stretch the repair time to increase their payment. I am so thankful for Sean D at Atomic Plumbing! He is an excellent plumber! I normally don't write reviews, but this was definitely worth sharing. My husband and I closed on our home and moved in on March 4th. We had not been living here not even a full month when our toilet started making a funny "gurgling" sound. Immediately, I was concerned, you know being a first-time homebuyer and all. So my husband contacted our home warranty carrier to see if plumbing was a covered service under the policy. It was and so we contacted Budget Plumbing to make a service call. What a mistake that was! First, he was here a total of about 10-15 minutes and charged us $95 to tell us that we had "no clean out" and estimated the cost at $2000.00 to $2500.00 to make a new "clean out." He told us that we would be contacted by our home warranty witihin 24 hrs. Secondly, he seemed annoyed to be at our house, almost as if it were an inconvenience to him. Lastly, he was rude and unpleasant. Right after he left, my husband received a call from a rep stating that our claim was denied and we were stuck with no resolution. After about a week of non-working toilets and having to shower in a slow draining bathtub, we couldn't take it anymore. We asked around to see if anyone knew of any good plumbers. Atomic Plumbing came highly recommended by my husband's co-worker. Needless to say, we called to schedule a service call and not only were they able to see us the SAME DAY but the cost was way more affordable and the customer service was oustanding! Sean D was professional, personable and polite. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of my many questions clearly and in a way that I was able to understand. He also found the "clean out" that the first plumber failed to find. He was effective and efficient. Most importantly, our toilets and drains are working perfectly! Our hot water heater went out and we called Atomic Plumbing in the morning. The lady said she would have someone out by 1:00 PM. We asked that they call about half an hour before coming, and they called me by 8:30 AM saying someone could be over by 9:00. James and Paul were there by 9, told me they could try to fix our hot water heater, but it was so old that it would just be putting money into something that would need to be replaced in the near future anyway. I told them to go ahead and replace it, thinking we would have to schedule another time for them to have to come out and complete the job. But they told me they could have it all done that day, and that is exactly what they did. In fact, they had it done before noon. They were fast, friendly and professional. I could not have been happier with the service we received. They made a very unpleasant occurrence out to be short lived and painless. I would recommend them to anyone that needs plumbing services.

Called at 2pm and had service completed by 6pm on a cold any busy day with lots of frozen pipes. Extremely fast and took the time to communicate both the issue, and associated costs of repair. Also very communicative for when someone would be by. Got an update call from the service center saying “we are a bit busy but you are still in the schedule for today”. Much appreciated so I could plan my afternoon while waiting. Highly recommended.

We had a plumbing issue late at night, we called Atomic and a technician (Jim) called right back. He came out to unclog our drain at 2 am! On top of it all, Jim noticed a picture on the wall of me in my uniform, thank me for my service and let us know that Atomic offered a military discount (that even applied to the emergency call)!!! He recommended additional service to check for possible existing damage in our pipes but did not pressure us to get it from them, it was a no-brainer to use Atomic. We called Atomic to come out and perform the extra service to ensure we didn't have a major issue, they came out on schedule and completed the work quickly!! Thanks Jim and everyone at Atomic! If we need a plumber, we will definitely call you again!

What a great person to lead his crew to put in an attic water heater in 95 degrees temp. and the heat index above 100 degrees. Wow, what a great job. The price was more than I thought, but, that is what happens when you have a 17 year old water heater with a attic ladder opening that was 2 inches smaller then the new EPA regulated water heater. Plus, a badly installed AC unit exhaust ducting that was installed incorrectly. Great catch Jim. Again, what a great job he and his crew did. From start to finish. A true team of professional. thanks for the hot water again. Randy
