Juan & crew from Stott Plumbing and Excavation did an excellent job on my water line repair. They were prompt, courteous, very professional and cleaned up the project perfectly. They answered all my questions and I felt they knew exactly what they were doing. I would highly recommend Stott to anyone. Very impressed!

EDIT:: The response to our issues was top-notch. They addressed it both financially and sent someone out to redo the finish work the next day. Original post: We paid $650 for a new toilet flange and reseal. The first photos are how he tried to leave it — abysmal caulking job and unlevel toilet. The second is the attempt at a better caulk finish, only after we pointed out how bad it looked. The bathroom was left an absolute mess.

My sewer main backed up and I called Homeserve and they booked me with Stott same day. Ben came out and was great. He listened to me describing the issue and wasn't dismissive or short at all. Pulled a toilet and ran a snake down through and said he was able to get it all the way to the street, which freed up my plumbing again! He was friendly with my dog and sanitized all the surfaces where he was working. Great work!

Stott Plumbing provided services for my HomeServe contract. Absolute pleasure to deal with. Very profession. Sent me an email day before the visit then text messages letting me know when the plumber would arrive. I really appreciated this excellent communication and letting me know what to expect. Zach was the best! Very smart. He was able to figure out in a matter of minutes what was causing the leak. One of my toilets was leaking and the hose faucet had a slow drip. I bought a $5 gasket to repair the toilet leak, and the hose faucet leak was fixed for free with my HomeServe contract! Very happy with HomeServe. They went above and beyond to cover as much as they could under my contract. I'm a huge believer in their services now. My sprinkler guy told me the leak was in the pipe running into the meter. He was going to charge me $1,500 to repair and would've dug a huge hold in my yard. He had no clue where the leak was. Stott Plumbing provides superior service. They are honest and don't try to run up the bill or provide unnecessary services. Their communication updates are superb. I highly recommend both Stott Plumbing and HomeServe!

William did a great job clearing the two drains in my basement. Thery were both overflowing. He had to work hard to grind off a cap on the main pipe so he could clear them. This house is 98 years old. We had the drains cleaned one other time and they couldnt get the cap off. I really do appreciate the company. They sent messages and called to let me know he was coming. They originally said between 8 and 12. They called at 8 to say he was on his way and sent a text also.

I have 4 houses insured with Homeserv. One has a bad sewer line that needs cleaning once or twice a year. Stott Plumbing always comes out in a timely manner and quickly gets the main sewer flowing again. Delightful people to work with.

Stott plumbing is fantastic!!! Our house is 100 years old so we have had our fair share of plumbing issues. Before Stott I ve had a few plumbers I will never call again but Stott has been very professional, honest and trustworthy we have used them through homeserve warranty and without the warranty their prices have been upfront and reasonable. So far they have fixed broken nose on (major repair), replaced fresh water line, cleared out roots in sewer line and mini jetted a 2” pipe that gets clogged with grease. Stott is always been great, would recommend!!

They came out as a Homeserve contractor. It was the first time I had used my homeserve policy so i was pretty skeptical. They spent several hours but got it cleared and homeserve paid for it. I was pleasantly surprised. My home is 112 years old. The sewer line is like 85 years old. Salt Lake Public Utilities recommends homeserve and im glad i have it. (Not a huge admirer of the insurance industry). Its $83 a year.

Juan and Taylor excavated our sewer line. They precisely located the leak that needed repair. They had to excavate to 10 ft in a small area between a concrete wall and an underground fiber cable. They did the work carefully, quickly, and did not damage the wall or cable. They were professional and answered all my questions. Their work passed inspection by the company that manages our sewer line. They cleaned the work area

These guys sure made a difficult time much easier for me to deal with. Had a major issue with my sewer line and they were out to my place within 24 hours. My issue required to follow up and being that my appointment was on a Friday this meant they would have to come out on a Saturday otherwise I would have to wait until Monday. Sure enough they came out on Saturday and fixed the problem. Another formidable plumbing company had also checked it out on the initial day of the problem and told me they would have to use a locator and start the process of digging to replace my sewer main… Stott was able to come out and repair my problem using a hydro flush. The other company didn’t even suggest this option. Likely saved me thousands for the time being. Im grateful for their honesty, willingness and empathy during this time. Stott responded within 45 minutes of me making a claim and that was on Sunday! They were there first thing in the morning on Monday to look at the main line break. Within an hour I've had markers doing their thing and by 1:30pm Stott had the Juan's crew in to do the repairs. They were done by 3pm. Professional experience and great communication. I would not use any other plumbing company. We have used Stott a few times on our plumbing issues. They are quick to respond and take care of the problem. Always clean up after the job is complete. We have a rental property which is being managed by a property management company. We had an ongoing leak of 15 gal per hour or more. The property managers technician looked for a leak inside the house, but could not find anything. Therefore, we suspected a leak in the exterior service line. We had a service contract with Homeserve which would cover that, so we submitted a service request. Homeserve promptly placed an order with Stott Plumbing & Excavating, and Stott scheduled a service call for the following day. Zachary was the Stott employee who arrived the following morning. Zachary quickly determined that there was not a leak in the exterior service line. A technician for the property management company, Susan, was also present. Zachary and Susan determined that the leak was in the toilet in the basement, which Susan would repair. Zachary was very professional and helpful.

Called Home Serve and on the same day, Stott's called back. They had a representative come evaluate the problem. Within the week they were back to fix the problem. Bryan was very polite and knowledgeable. His crew quickly fixed the problem and cleaned up the area even better than it was when they got here! Yesterday we had Stott Plumbing replace a water line from our home to the main water line, a distance of several feet. As is often the case I was nervous about how it would go, but as I look back on it I couldn't be more pleased!!! They arrived just when they said they would, and from the very first I had no doubt that they knew exactly what they were doing. In less than 8 hours the owners were at my home 'settling up' with me and they were remarkably fair in the amount I was charged.. The three Stott employees that came to find a leak in the water main going into our home were top notch. It was 103 degrees outside and they worked right through the heat, digging up the old leaking line, putting in a new line, and restoring what they needed to. They were friendly, personable, and didn’t mind us watching while they worked. The main was about four feet in the ground, so the job took a bit of doing. I would recommend this crew to anyone.

After having a nightmare experience with a plumbing company we didn't research well, we turned to Stott Plumbing for help. This company was amazing. They gave us a three-level bid so we weren't surprised if there would be additional work needed, as often happens when you're dealing with main sewer lines, and they stuck to their price. They were so fast, took such good care of us - they were careful of the grass around the area where they were working, and made sure the area was safe. Their cost was lower than other bids we got but we felt like they really delivered on what they said they would do, and did in in a respectful way. Highly recommended! Service was performed in a timely manner at a fair price and by friendly, professional technicians. I needed my water main replaced after a leak was discovered. I had a bid from another company, but after talking with a friend - I called Stott plumbing & am glad I did. Ben came out to investigate the issue and walked me through all aspects of what needed to be done, as well as all potential issues that may arise during work (need to cut into my driveway being #1). He made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process, never once talking over my head or making me feel stupid. As a female managing these situations on my own, that is very important. The bid was fairly priced and they even came to my house to give me temporary water since there was a bit of a wait before the crew could come fix the issue. Juan came to perform the work and was extremely professional, friendly, and showed me the issues they found. He was honest in that once they dug in (literally), they found the entire line didn’t need replacing, saving me thousands. They could’ve easily just replaced the whole thing & I would’ve been none the wiser. Great experience! Everyone from Cody in the front office to Juan in the field my 1935 sewer line was repaired in about a day. The repair probably would have been done sooner if they didn't have to dig 15 feet deep in a narrow alley. Would highly recommend.

I had major plumbing problems and Stott came to my rescue. Not all heroes wear capes :-) I cannot say enough great things about them! I had a leak in my basement AND a mystery sewage backup. Stott was the fourth company that came to look and they were the ones who finally figured it out. We had some miscommunication in the beginning (due to my being out of town, nothing on Stott's part) and Bryan and Mike, the owners, came to make sure we were all on the same page before they scheduled our work. They made me feel so comfortable with their bid (which was WAY less than I was expecting) and said they would begin work ASAP. They were able to push my sewer repair up by 2 days due to another cancellation. We ended up having a sewage setup Bryan and Mike had never encountered before. However, they figured it all out and made everything easier for any future issues. Bryan even sat down and drew me a diagram of what was going on and explained it in a way even I could understand. While they worked on the sewer (which took all day) they began the dig for our water main replacement (the source of my basement leak) which would happen the next day. This job ended up taking ~12 hours instead of the usual ~5. Despite all of the unexpected bumps in the road and ALL the extra work, they didn't charge me any extra from my original bid (other than the parts and labor for the sewer repair). Every employee who came to our house - from the "inside guys" to the excavation crew - were friendly, professional, and had masks and shoe coverings. They worked extremely hard and efficiently and notified me of any issues as they arose. I could not be more grateful for all the work they did. I will use them for any future plumbing needs and recommend them to everyone. THANK YOU STOTT!!

Using Stott through Home Serve was perfect. I just moved to the area a year ago, and purchased the Home Serve as a precaution to cover the water line from the house to the street. Last month I found that the water meter kept running even when I shut the water off. The service agreement came in handy as when they came out, they could not use the backhoe, and had to dig 7 feet to get to the water line. Took them more a full day of work rather than the half day they initially estimated, but they got the work done and now there is no more leaking water. I plan to use them for other (non-warrantee) work for some improvements I want to make.

The technician service men were were great, and did a great job. The technician service men have done great quality work with respect every time they have come to my house.The office ladies could do better with communications however. It would be nice to know, if they do and a inspection of a sewer line they installed within a year and it’s okay, that they will charge big money $$$. They send an email of the service day and estimated time, they could send and estimated price if it’s it would not covered by warrantied work. Also it would be nice if the office ladies I spoke to, remember to call me back. I called the last week of December after Christmas regarding my situation and never heard back until I called recently (last week) that is bad customer service.

Had a broken valve which controlled sprinkler system branching off from water mains. Stott plumbing was called to assist us as part of our insurance coverage. Although it was deemed work was outside of coverage we decided to go ahead and have Stott do the replacement. Very happy with their work. Two gentlemen arrived and fixed the problem in about 4 hours. Worked in sweltering heat. The two gentlemen were always courteous, showed me what was repaired and did a great job returning the xeriscaped garden back to its original form. Can't compare price since we decided to go with Stott from the get go rather than shop around. Happy with their replacement valve set up too. No messing around trying to find shut-off valve since Stott guys replaced down pipe with smaller diameter just the right size for the key. Highly recommend.

They had water running to my house, indicated I had a broken water line, scheduled the excavation and repair for Thursday, got the insurance claim approved, and by their professionalism and courtesy calmed my nerves frazzled by 24 hours using emergency water storage. Stott replaced my sewer line, took care of all the permits with the county, and even after running into issues that were so strange he "hadn't seen anything like it in 23 years", they stuck to their bid, despite the extra work. Brian was a pleasure to work with and they even took the time to knock on neighbors' doors to let them know they'd need to close the street temporarily.
