They are very professional and pristine. I had called two other plumbers before calling them, both saying they would get back to me to schedule a time. One didn’t call back the others waited 4 days to call back. Anyways I called Roto Rooter and they scheduled me right then. I think that day was a busy day. Even though they were running a little behind schedule they called and let me know. They came, diagnosed the problem then stayed until the job was done. Their repair guy left my house around 8:45 that night. I asked if they usually work that late and he told me not usually but they will always stay till the job is done. I really appreciate the service they gave.

I had a clogged pipe issue, trying to fix it by myself, took me around three hours and got nothing fixed. Finally I was recommended to call this company, I called them, set an appointment, they came within 90 minutes after my call and after their evaluation, it tooks less than 30 minutes to fix my clogged pipe. This guys did a good job. I recommend them.

Our technicians today, John and Eric, did a fantastic job. They identified and replaced some shoddy workmanship from the original homeowner that resulted in a kitchen leak and surely would've caused us more serious problems down the road. Courteous, professional, and a great value for all the work they did. Very pleasant and friendly folks to have in your home for a disappointing problem. Tech was great and on time. Price seemed a little high but I was willing to pay it on a Saturday night, on a holiday weekend. When your main sewage line is clogged you gotta do it. They did a great job.

My kitchen sink was backed up and they were able to snake the drain clear out to the main. My sink drains just like new again. They also took the time to discuss my questions as well. They are expensive though, which is why I only gave 4 stars. I don't know other plumbers' rates so they may be right in the market range it is just too much for what work was done.

We had a strange blockage in our sewer line. After a couple of tries to clear it and running every scenario he could think of Andrew called in help. It takes an honest person to know when a problem has them beat and to ask for help. With a second technician and a bit of different equipment they prevailed!! Steve responded to my call for help with a leaking pipe in our laundry room. The leak was identified, and it was in a very small ceiling space, and very difficult to access. He was very persistent and found a way to mend the leak, added a shut off for the water line, and left the area in better condition. I had a kitchen sink clog on a Saturday afternoon that I couldn't clear myself. Roto-Rooter said they could have a technician there in two hours. They could not give me an estimate over the phone. Technician didn't show up until 10am the next day. He quoted me $400 to snake the line. I said "no way". I negotiated to a better price that another company had already quoted. On the bright side. They had my drain fixed very fast and the communication with the dispatcher was fantastic. Plus they included a 6 month warranty.

Chad came to my home today for a backed up toilet. Turns out the builder didn’t knockout plug out of the clean out pipe, so a bathroom that’s rarely used has been backing up for 2 years. He fixed the issue and drilled the knockout plug out of the pipe in the garage.

Update: A representative from roto-rooter called and let us know that the information given to us was incorrect. They issued a refund and let us know they’d talk to the technician. We called Roto Rooter because our water heater wasn’t working. Someone came out same day, but after hearing that their service fee was $375 an hour, per technician, I called someone else. We were then charged $75 just for the diagnosis. We were not told that there would be a fee, or how much it would be when we made the appointment. It is also not easy to get this information on their website. This felt so shady on their part. This was an exorbitant cost for someone to be at our house for 15 minutes just to look at our water heater. He didn’t even look inside the heater, just the outside and we were still charged $75. We will be telling anyone we can that this company should not be trusted.

We chose rotor rooter because they did not have any extra weekend charges. We noticed our basement had backed up on all three drains. After cleaning it up we would have waited until Monday however it was no extra charge to have them come Saturday. Then communicate, are timely, fair in price and the technician performed what we asked for. No more. No less. We will definitely call them again if a need arises.

I had issues with high water pressure where faucets were leaking and toilets kept breaking because of the high water pressure. Roto-Rooter came out and replaced a bathroom and kitchen faucet that were old and leaking, and placed a water pressure valve to limit the flow of water pressure that was causing so many problems. They then came back later to replace my water line valve to my fridge. I had an old saddle valve that was not stopping the water to my fridge. I watched a video on “This Old House” that explains these are illegal in some states because they wear out and can then cause serious water damage. They installed a T pipe with a separate shut off valve so I could turn off the water to my fridge separately from the main water line. Both James and his training partner Andrew were very professional and prompt. They explained the process, pricing, and did quality work. I now have peace of mind that I shouldn’t have further water issues.

Problem was resolved quickly and professionally, I was really surprised by the 400$ flat charge to start any work but I heard that they will raise their rates again in 2022. Thanks for removing those tree roots that was 75’ in my sewer line that runs to the main. He was in and out in 90 minutes. I will add, that I had to either pay an additional 400 to have them remove the toilet in order to inspect and clean the roots out, or remove it myself. I removed it myself and he was cool with giving me a few minutes to do so.

When work was complete and plumber left, we noticed pipe was leaking water out so husband had to go to store to buy additional stuff to fix that. Tech was nice and professional though. Update: after my initial review, Roto-Rooter did everything they could to apologize and make things correct and in a very quick manner. I appreciate their customer service and willingness to make things better. Great company and I would definitely recommend using if ever needed.

Excellent customer service and skilled employees. Our sewer main backed up at 9:30 pm. They arrived within 1 hour of my call which was the quick timing I was hoping for during our little emergency. Chad H immediately understood the issue and got to work. Chad was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient, and showed no concern for having to come out after hours. We had a good chat while he worked. I was glad they scheduled a follow up free camera inspection of the sewer main the next day to confirm the clean out did the job. Travis S did the inspection and asked me if I wanted to watch the video while he worked. He explained everything we were looking at. Luckily, no structural issues were found. Travis was knowledge, had good customer service, and I could tell he was looking out for us which earned my loyalty as a customer. At first I wasn’t sure about a big national chain but I went with them due to their 4.8-4.9 review average locally. I didn’t have time to shop around for prices but I liked they didn’t charge an after hours trip fee. I used an online coupon. I would definitely use them again for a sewer main problem. Thanks!

Our sewage line backed up on a Sunday so I called looking for a plumber and they had a open window from 4-8! So I took it and they mentioned they would give a 30-45 minute heads up when they were on their way and they did! They actually sent a message a little bit before 4! Water heater was leaking with obvious signs of rust. Not only did they replace the water heater under warranty, they adjusted the plumbing leading up to the water heater cause apparently the builders didn't install the shut off valves properly pertaining to the backflow/backup tank. They then took the time to inform us about proper water heater maintenance to which noone has mentioned to us before. We were told that if we keep it properly maintained it will be the last water heater we'll ever need.

Repairman was delayed a little, but able to make-up the time with removal of a swim diaper flushed down a clubhouse toilet using a wire auger. Great job, and able to have a quick retrieval. Be prepared for a little sticker shock, though.

I called to get a free bid on a plumbing problem. The serviceman, David was knowledgeable and thorough in diagnosing and explaining what he felt was the problem with a very slow toilet. He politely disagreed with an earlier (and expensive) diagnosis by another company's serviceman. There was absolutely no sales pressure and he was friendly and kind when I decided to try the install myself with the help of a handy friend. Several weeks later, the friend had been unable to work me into his busy seasonal schedule and the problem was getting worse. I called Roto-Rooter and explained that I wanted the same serviceman. They quickly looked up my previous service call to identify the right plumber and had David call me. He answered all my questions and explained what I could do on my before he got there that would keep the cost down a bit. He ran a couple hours late but the office kept me informed. David was efficient and kept the mess to a bare minimum. I was back in business in short order for exactly the price he had quoted. I don't know about their other plumbers but David is a jewel!

Kitchen drain clean in zip code 84103. Was told to be in the home at 10 am. Service man arrived at 4:30pm after repeated calls. Service person courteous and performed his service very effectively. Total time of the service was approximately 45 minutes. However, Roto-Rooter would not quote a price in advance over the phone. When the service man arrived I was quoted a price of $399 for a kitchen drain cleaning. I had a $75 coupon that I received on the internet. The serviceman because of my concern of the pricing offered me $100 coupon. Because it was late in the day. Day, on a Friday afternoon I was left with no other alternative to accept the offer of services at the price quoted.

Everyone I spoke with and interacted with was professional, kind, and knowledgeable. The plumber wasted no time repairing the old pipes and broken/leaky water shut off valve, and it is all very high quality work/products. The restoration team helped me get a claim filed and took care of all the moving of furniture and thoroughly checked all areas for water damage (they found more than originally thought!). Rich especially went above and beyond by coming over multiple times to make sure all restoration was done correctly and that I was comfortable with the process. It has been reported to the HOA of our community that a sewer pipe had a root ball and possibly a broken sewer pipe. We had Mark from Roto-Rooter come inspect the line. Yes he found there was a problem. Mark set up an appointment for us to get it fixed. Mark and Hasam came about 9:30 am and began the project. They allowed me to follow the progress they were making and take pictures for the HOA’s property management company. These guys worked fast and were very professional. They were careful to not damage the covered parking item as they dug up where the line was broken. They wore their masks and practiced physical distance when I came around. They explained what they did and kept me in the loop. They found the problem pretty quick and were able to repair the break nicely. They were great to get the hole ready for asphalt to be replaced. They cleaned up after themselves and left our spot with caution tape around some barriers, so the people would know not to park there just yet. These guys were friendly and were patient with me as I asked questions. This was a second bid on this project and Roto-Rooter came in at a lower bid, so this helped us save money. I would recommend this company whole heartily. They gave us best results and saved us money too.

On January 2nd when their competitors were enjoying a well-earned vacation, these guys were available and to my door within an hour. James, our service technician, was a true professional and an honorable man to meet. He enacted the necessary solution to a T and was customer-service oriented the entire time. He was even good enough to converse with me and answer any questions I posed. The price, at $400 to unclog the drain, was steeper than we expected but to run a large company with the availability and professionalism that we experienced (and appreciated very much) requires more overhead so I'd say it was justified. Getting the house fixed sooner rather than later and having that peace of mind was entirely worth it.

Warren was wonderful. We weren’t having any plumbing issues but are going to be xeriscaping our front and thought we’d see if the sewer line needed any attention first to avoid undoing later. We’d had RPM here last week, and Cooper scoped the sewer line until he found intrusive roots, which he said would need to be ground out. BUT, they don’t do that, we were told; he’d arrange for their “sister” company to do that. The following day, Greg from Ace came out with a small rooter and ground the roots that had been identified. Though both young men were polite and personable and cleaned up well after themselves, NEITHER of them went beyond that first root incursion. Then today we had the line back up when apparently the roots that had been ground up snagged on roots farther out in the line. Of course, it being Saturday,, Ace was closed, and we hadn’t even been told if they provide any warranty anyway, so we called Roto-Rooter. They first sent out a young woman who surveyed the situation and called Warren. He scoped the sewer and then brought in his [much larger/longer] rooter. He was here about FOUR HOURS and went out 135’, first with a single cutter and then with a double. We may go ahead and line the pipe, which is warranted for 35 years (!), as we live in Holladay and have large trees on the park strip, and as Warren said, problems with roots never get better, only worse.

Austin showed up early and for a Sunday I thought I was sunk or sinking since water was comin up through the downstairs utility room and was getting the carpet wet in 3 spots. We had issues with my pipes and Ron showed up to do a camera view which showed roots in the pipe from the city to my house. They unclogged the drain and did not leave until explaining the next steps which is to replace part of the pipe in the sidewalk and put a pipe liner in. I would recommend people get your insurance to add a rider to cover that part of the fix and definently use Roto-Rooter!!

On a Saturday, we experienced a backed up drain in the basement. When we called, we were given a 2 hour time frame; understandably as it was on the weekend... but what a pleasant surprise when John arrived in 45 minutes. Our pilot light went out and I was unable to relight it. I called Roto-Rooter Saturday night late and they scheduled somebody to come but it had been snowing and they were packed. Marc observed all the CDC guidelines for COVID-19 safety, wearing his mask throughout the service. He was very thorough showing me the problem through the scope camera, since it was in our sewer lateral and not just at the house. He was a total trooper, pulled out our toilet to gain access to the sewer line, spent a good time fighting with all the roots in my sewer lateral, and when he was done he was extremely thorough and scoped the line one more time to make sure all the roots had been cleared. After Marc was done, he cleaned up everything and placed my toilet back in place. The toilet is better now than it was before!!! I was very pleased with Marc and his service. The technician was friendly. Overall, they are a bit expensive. To unclog a drain they wanted to charge $365.00. There was another place that quoted me $209.00 for the main line and $109.00 for the sink. However, they couldn't come out when I needed them. When I mentioned the prices he did check to see if they would price match. They price matched at $205.00. I did have to ask him to clean up the water under the sink but overall, he was friendly and respectful and he did say they have a 6 month guarantee that if the sink gets clogged again, they'll come out and clear it at no charge.

We called roto-rooter this morning because while fixing our kitchen sink yesterday, their tech, Mark accidentally punctured the pipes beneath our bathroom sink in the room next door causing a serious leak. When we notified Roto-Rooter of the problem, they sent someone right out (whithin an hour or so) to fix the issue free of charge. We are reasonable people and understand that accidents happen during home repairs. Called in at 11:30 am on a Sunday for a backed-up main line. Was told that 4 PM would be the earliest time, which was great. By 5:30 PM no one had shown up. I called in and they said they were backed up. They arrived around 8:30 PM, someone called a couple times before then with an eta (helpful, showed we weren’t forgotten). Not going to lie, I was upset they were as late as they were but the two guys that showed up (Angel and Matt) were as professional as could be. They work in SLC/Utah county in Utah. FYI: they work order of jobs received and if some jobs take longer than usual, yours will be pushed back. Just the way it is. The professionalism was outstanding, wore booties, cleaned up some mess they didn’t even make and they offered a 10% discount for being so late. Will use again.

My main line backed up at night and on a holiday (go fiqure) when I called they came out with in 30 minutes and didn't charge any extra fees for coming out at night and on a holiday. Very happy and they fixed the problem fast. Also they gave a warranty so if it happens again. I have used them several times over the years and they have always went above and beyond for me.

Abel is a great professional. He really knows what to do. The previous plumber from another company said that we had to change the pipes and told us that it would cost from 5,000 to 20,000 dollars, but he didn’t pass any camera to check it. That was crazy! My master bath toilet had been slow ever since I bought the unit and it got to the point that a drain snake and plunging were not working. I finally broke down and called Roto Rooter. After scheduling online, I got an almost immediate phone call confirming the details of my appointment. I then got a phone call letting me know when the technician was on their way, which was at the very beginning of the two hour appointment window that was scheduled. The technician was very helpful and offered a cheaper service to try and solve the problem. Despite his best efforts he still had to uninstall the toilet to get to the root of the issue (a travel size bottle was flushed by the previous owner). Ed was quick, professional, and friendly. Even after having to do more than the basics to fix the problem, the overall cost was still less than I was anticipating and I was very happy.

We called on a Sunday, our sewer was backing up and we were really not wanting to spend the night in a hotel or camping in the backyard. We couldn't even flush the toilet because more w and ter would just come back up the sewer drains. There was a pretty significant clog, Mike was great and cleared it for us and was exceptionally pleasant. We had called 4 other places, some who had said they were open 24/7, roto rooter was the first to respond in being able to come out same day, after hours. It was $79 more being after 6pm Monday through Saturday, but my kids were able to sleep in their own beds the same night, and the cost wasn't much different than a hotel stay would have been. So grateful Mike was willing to work so my family could have our home back the same day our issue started.
