Another company tried to get me to buy a brand new furnace due to a CO issue, yet they had no data to show me the problem. They just showed me blurry images that were unimpressive at best. We were happy to have Steve Snowball come this evening to unplug our toilet. He showed us ways we could try to unplug the toilet ourselves. But when that didn't work he came himself in a timely manner. His work was well done and he talked to us about what was happening all the way. As we visited with Steve he shared with us some fun things about his dogs. I had ask him to tell us about them and were happy that he did. It was a pleasant evening all the way around.

We cannot say enough great things about the professionalism, knowledge, skill and courtesy that we experienced from Tim and Jeff from Pond’s lol Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning, who diagnosed two furnaces in our home that were non-functioning. They left no stone unturned with regard to examining, determining and remedying the issues with both furnaces. We appreciate Tim’s consideration in taking the time to explain the situation to us layman’s terms so we can make an informed decision about repairing or replacing of one of the units. John has a lot of experience with complex solar hot water systems like mine, in fact he installed one of the heat reservoirs eight years ago.he Fixed a corroded fitting really quickly. It looks better than the original. Top notch work, I’m super pleased.

They found a crack in our heat exchange this time and were able to get Travis out right away to help us replace the furnace. The Pond's representative assessed the old hot water heater to determine the need for new unit. He explained his plan and changes that would need to be completed prior to installation of the new unit. He reviewed the costs and warranty with me including options. He discussed the amount of time needed and water shut down procedures. He was open to any questions I had regarding the project. At the end of the install he reviewed the information regarding the new unit including temp. settings for the unit. His work was neat and efficient. Overall I would give him a five star rating.

He was extremely helpful and worked with me to fix the problem so I could turn the water back on to the rest of my house. The following week Tim installed a new water heater. We received service by Ponds Plumbing & Heating via a suggestion after Action Heating & Plumbing COMPLETELY dropped the ball on a recent service, so much so, we cancelled our Service Plan with them. Ponds P&H, to be blunt, were simply AMAZING. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING ! ! ! After one visit, I've decided they're my go to. Tim Rice was my technician and he was professional and proficient. I had several systems I needed him to address and he did them all with ease. The little he didn't know, he had resources to take care of it all. He was very knowledgeable, courteous and explained everything he did and answered all that I had questions for. I originally spoke with Ashland on the phone that took care of my setup and schedule. She was very kind, helpful and made sure that my needs were handled. Showed up Super Bowl Sunday to diagnose and repair a bad blower motor in my furnace. Arrived in under 30 minutes as promised and quickly got the job done. Price seemed a little higher than expected but in range and absolutely worth it. Will not hesitate to call again for service. Update. Since the original job, I had the motor go out, ponds replaced it with a “better” one under warranty but I still had to pay a lot out of pocket. Since then, my AC is worthless. It blew cold air for one day, now there is no air coming from the ducts and my house can’t stay cool on a 78 degree day. I’m severely disappointed Second update: Ponds showed up again, this time they sent the service manager, Jon Arbuckle, you can tell he's not a standard tech since he drives a nice pickup instead of a van. Jon rewired the motor, apparently their other tech installed it incorrectly, causing part of our issue. AC has been working great since then. Happy to finally get things done but still frustrated at the amount of work and number of times I had to contact them to get it done right.

Tim Rice from Pond's just came over to look at my AC. He is the only HVAC tech that I will allow near my unit. He walks me through everything that is he doing, answers all my questions, and isn't trying to make a quick buck. This is the second time he's been out, he's been extremely fair and saved me hundreds compared to other HVAC techs. He does a great job, quality work, and very fair price. I've had other HVAC tech come over before Tim Rice and I just felt like I was getting ripped off. I typically don't write many reviews (especially positive ones), but this guy is the best. Updated 7/10/2022 I had an issue with my plumbing system and spoke with Steve, on a Sunday morning he was willing to facetime with me and help me troubleshoot my issue. He didn't charge me and helped me save money. This is the second person I've worked with from Pond's that I highly recommend.

Pond's Plumbing has been great to us for the last several years. From replacing the spout to my well to replacing the HVAC in my home, to the bi-Yearly service visits to service said HVAC unit they have always had the highest standard of service. We have been premier members for years and will continue to be premier members well into the future because of the level of service that pond's offers. While we have interacted with many service technicians from Pond's our most recent technician Logan has gone above and beyond for us. From tracking down the cause of a slowly flushing toilet to cleaning a clogged line after hours he has shown a great deal of compassion and professionalism to my Family. We tried other plumbing services many years ago but what has consistently stood out to us about Pond's is that they always try to present you with the best way to solve your problem (it's not always the cheapest but I prefer the job that is well done) along with offering other solutions that may fit your needs better and that they always seem to offer a higher level of service. Whether that means coming after hours to solve something that may seem silly to someone else or working us into the schedule when a last minute emergency comes up (You would be surprised how often that happens unexpectedly) they have always treated us with respect and acted like professionals. For these reasons we will continue to use Pond's well into the future and I hope this review helps someone else makes the decision to choose Pond's. Thanks.

Called due to a leak with our radiant heat. The technician didn't do anything we hadn't already done. He claimed what we had done was all that needed to be done to prevent the leak from reoccurring. Sure enough I ended up with the same leaking problem 8 hours after they left. At that point I called and spoke with the technician on the phone. He then quoted me an additional $1000 to fix the problem (mind you I already paid $200 for his first visit). When I told him that seemed extreme and I would be getting other bids his price miraculously dropped to $260. For reference every other bid I've received has come in between $135-200. It seems to me that he thought I would simply agree and accept his bid due to the fact that I was desperate and he could exploit me for what he thought I would be willing to pay. ***Update- Service manager called. He understood the concern and did what he could to make it right. He sent his technician John out and had the problem solved at an agreed upon price that fell in the middle of other bids I received. The problem does seem to be resolved, the work was done well, and the price remained at what was decided upon before I agreed to have them come back out. I've updated my review to be 4 stars because they were willing to make it right and resolve the issue. The only reason I'm not putting it to 5 stars is the fact that I wish it would have been handled correctly the first time they came out.

The service in question was a complicated warranty issue and Pond's responded with military-like precision. They dispatched multiple techs who arrived on-time and got right to work. They wore booties to protect my carpet until they could get their drop-cloths in place. They promised it would done in 1 day and they did what they promised. They delivered my product documentation and gave me training in my new high-tech thermostat. When they were done, they did a great cleanup job vacuuming all the baseboards and corners. After they left you'd never know they were even there - except for the great furnace. Outstanding! Pond's separates themselves from other companies by standing behind their work and and keeping their promises. I wouldn't choose anyone else and neither should you.

Expensive. I have been a loyal customer of Pond's for over 25 years. I recently had installed two 50 gallon Rheem Classic Professional residential water heaters. They charged me a 'flat rate' for this work. The flat rate assumed that there were needed updates in bringing to code any issues such as repiping, replacing old installations, installing earth quake strapping and etc. Pond's previously installed 6.5 years ago two 50 gallon Rheem Classic Professional water heaters and Pond's had all ready addressed any issue for code requirements. Yet they still used 'flat rate pricing' and it is easy to over charged using this method. I further looked into it and became even more frustrated as a loyal customer to discover that I could purchase these same water heaters online saving $2,000 and paid a licensed plumber to install. Suggestions for future customers, have an onsite bid and ask the following: 1. What does 'flat rate' charges include? 2. What is needed for updates to code requirements as 'flat rate assumptions' suggest there are needed 'extra expenses' to bring you to a current code status? 3. What equipment is needed and what equipment could alternately buy purchased? For example, I could possible have saved another $1,000 by purchasing one 100 Gallon Rheem Classic Professional residential water heater over the purchase of two 50 gallon water heaters. I paid more for two smaller units compared to buy one larger unit. My bad! Frustrating when as a loyal customer is treated like a loyal customer.

Our furnace is a boiler type used to heat water for radiant baseboard hearing in our house. Most companies will not service this kind of household heating equipment. Our service tech was Lee and he was very prompt and did a very thorough job and even after appearing to fix our problem noticed a safety issue and took the parts back out, made a minor repair and put ever thing back together again. I've used Pond's on several occasions over the years to replace water heaters, work on furnaces, water softeners, pressure reducing valves, and the like. Shoutout today to Andy McDermott who really was awesome. In terms of Pond's generally, my impression is that their pricing is a little on the high side of the scale, but that is offset by the fact that their work is reliable and you can usually get them out promptly (which was again the case today), and when you have plumbing issues you typically want them fixed sooner rather than later. From my perspective those two factors justify the somewhat higher pricing, so I'm happy to continue giving Pond's a 5-star review.

OK. I posted earlier with a grievance about Ponds but they have since more than compensated. They called and apologized for the part pricing issue and then sent technicians out to install the new part without additional charge. They also ran additional diagnostics while on-site to make sure everything with our system was operational. This is the reason I've been a Pond's customer for so long. They are a professional outfit and they will work to get you what you need. If you have an issue, they are reasonable and fair and will go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of.

Needed a heating and cooling tune up so called my normal plumbing/heating/air company. Turns out they only do plumbing now. I asked if they had any recommendations. They recommended pond’s. They squeezed me in early since I had a deadline. They sent Alex Hughes to work on my system. Alex was great. Good honest hard working man. He clearly is working hard and trying to make an honest living. I told him some of the poor experiences I had with one of the heavy advertised emergency plumbing/hvac companies. He told me he specifically decided to work for Pond’s because they are not commission driven. They have set prices like $140 for furnace and $160 for AC maintenance but that includes everything aside from major repairs. Other companies advertise $30 AC service, which only pays for them to connect their monitoring equipment to your unit. They then are paid near minimum wage + 30% commission so they up sell you on everything they can think of. They’ll tell you your system is outdated and needs to be gutted and have all sorts of parts replaced. Your $30 service call turns into $600. Do yourself a favor and call Pond’s. If you see a company doing a lot of advertising, steer clear. Go based on reviews and word of mouth. Alex Hughes was probably the most professional and respectful HVAC technician I’ve ever worked with. He educated me on how my system worked and took the time to address all my needs without trying to up sell me on unnecessary stuff. He showed me exactly what he was doing and helped me understand why. I am a member of the HOA board where I live and am considering selecting Pond’s to be our preferred HVAC servicer for our entire complex of 100 units.

I am very disappointed with this company. We paid for a “tune up” and service call ($140) about 2 weeks ago, at our rental property. Got a call today from our renters that the furnace still isn’t working. Service guy goes back out, and magically finds something wrong, that wasn’t found the first time around. A $400 problem. Now if they would’ve found this the first time, I believe the cost of the tune up, would’ve gone towards any repair. But since this was a separate incident, only 2 weeks later, that is no longer the case and we have to pay for the entire cost. This is a little fishy to me, and I’m pretty PO’d to say the least. I won’t be going back to them in the future. Edited to add: come to find out, if we decide not to go with them, to fix this $400 “issue”, we’ll be liable to pay $145 for the service call today. My advice, stay away from this company, they’re crooks! 2nd edit: I’m changing my review from 1 star to 3 stars. They reached out to my husband and attempted to make things right. I still don’t know if I’ll reach out to this company for future needs, but I’m appreciative they at least tried to make things right.

We brought Ponds Plumbing in for 2nd opinion on a pretty serious boiler situation. A different company had quoted $3,800 -$22,000 to fix the problem, providing 2 solutions. Ponds found a different way to fix the same problem costing less than $200 while maintaining the highest level safety standards. We now know we will eventually need to replace the boiler, but Ponds gave us a few years to save for it, while keeping us warm and safe from carbon monoxide in the process. I cannot thank Ponds Plumbing enough! So much gratitude.
