Called in the evening to report a blocked main sewer line. Appointment was set up for the next morning. Responder was very professional and followed up with text and email confirmation. In the morning received a call and text confirming tech who would be coming out and approx time. Isaac Lopez was the tech assigned. Very professional and tested system after the procedure. In addition explained that Sandy covered repaired if roots continued to damage the pipe. Very good value ($88) to clean out main sewer line. Highly recommended

Edgar did an excellent and thorough job, and was clearly invested in making sure that he did the best job possible. Despite challenges with space and an unusual layout of drains in the house, he was able to solve the problem and made sure that he cleared as much buildup as possible to keep everything working well. He also went out of his way to clean up overflows from the drain even from before he began his work, and left the area far nicer than he found it. The office staff were helpful and friendly, but were not great about updating on schedule changes or delays. After initially being told that the plumber would arrive in 45 minutes, I called back after 90 minutes. I was told that they'd diverted him to an emergency call, and I could probably expect him in an hour, but they'd confirm ETA and call me back. After another 90 minutes without an update, I called back and was told that he was now on his way. 45 minutes later, I received an automated text that he was en route. 15 minutes later, he arrived. While I understand that appointments may need to be pushed back for delays in jobs or emergency calls, I was disappointed in the office staff's failure to update me on changes and highly inaccurate estimates.

Brandon and Kurt installed a new underground drain for my rain downspouts after realizing I had too small of pipe for them to drain into. They did a great job and dug a 60' trench to put new piping into. I am very happy with their work and will definitely use them again if anything else comes up.

We have an old house and remodeled the kitchen. The kitchen drain was a challenge. The first clean out seemed to work, but a day later it failed. Kurt and his manager responded and did what was necessary to fix the problem. 2 years of grease buildup and unusual turns in the pipes did not make it easy, but they honored their warranty, and we now believe it is fixed. Kurt was the plumber. He took his time, explained everything was patient and concerned that it was working. I would recommend ARS/Rescue Rooter if you have plumbing problems.

Technician was very cordial and proficient. He cleared out clogged kitchen drain in short order with a 75 foot power snake and stayed until he was certain the problem was cleared. I would definitely use Rescue Rooter of Salt Lake again and request Danny as our technician. My only “complaint” is that his estimate for the service was $465. It wasn’t until I reminded him of the $88 drain cleaning special that he changed the price to $88. At $465 I would not have accepted the service and would have gone to Home Depot to rent a snake and do the job myself.

McCray started the work on Monday afternoon, worked for 4 hrs. He couldn't clear pipe. Then he said that someone else would have to come out next day to finish job. Next day McCray showed up. He said he wanted to finish job he started. WOW! You never hear that! He completed the job, pipes all cleared! He was very professional, explained all steps and costs. My elderly parent felt comfortable with him. I would recommend McCray and his company for any rooter problems!

I am so glad I chose ARS for this sewer problem. Woke up to lots of water on the basement floor. We couldn't figure out where it was coming from until we turned on the shower and realized water was pouring out of the drain on the basement floor. I realized there was a blockage between the house and the sewer mainline in the street. I called ARS and within two hours they were out and working the problem. Quickly Danny found the problem and had it fixed. I am super grateful for their prompt and professional work two days before Christmas. I would use ARS again and highly recommend them. Thank you!

I am so glad I called Rescue Rooter. Should have called sooner. We've been having our main line clog and backup since moving in a year ago. Turns out my pipes had eroded away. They showed me the hole via light scope where sewage had been leaking into my crawlspace! In fact, they showed me EVERYTHING without prompting. Over a holiday weekend my water heater decided to retire itself and quit working of course. So I needed help with a plan of action and ARS of SLC provided assistance. Normally, we home owners follow the golden rule not to request professional services over the weekend or holiday due to overblown costs associated with it. However, after making contact ARS assured me that they work every day like normal. The drain in our basement overflowed while running the washing machine. I called 2 other companies first but one couldn't come for 4 days and the other until the next morning. We then contacted ARS around 3 in the afternoon and they sent someone out that day, which was phenomenal. It turned out to be a tricky problem as there was a clog in one of the toilet lines and it took the tech some time to diagnose that. And then once he did, it took quite awhile to unclog it and then he needed a part, and headed out to get that. So....it wasn't finished until 9:30 p.m.! That was frustrating, but also amazing, that Daniel was willing to stay that long and work on it. He was committed to getting the job done and was absolutely polite, respectful, honest and hardworking. The price was very reasonable and even though it kind of put a damper on our Valentines Day, it was fantastic to have the problem solved the same day, by a great worker, for a good price. I also appreciated that I received a text confirming the appointment after I made it by phone and then received a call 30 minutes before the tech came. All in all, a professionally sound and trustworthy experience. Give them a try:)

Our toilets were getting backed up from shower, tub getting backed up from kitchen, etc. they cleared a clog in the main drain from the house out to the street. It was a holiday weekend. We tried at least 9 places over the weekend, no one had staff to come help us. Finally on Monday night (the holiday) we found them. They saved us. Three men came and looked at the drain that was backing up and determined it was caused by my septic tank being full. They helped my kids dig the opening up and gave their advice. It started off with a blocked kitchen sink drain. Because we've had great success with Rescue Rooter in the past, we called them. Cary (a 30 years drain technician, came out to try to solve the problem. He went way beyond what I could have expected from a service including hauling a 90 lb rooter machine up on our roof. After several hours of trouble shooting everything, he knew what had to be done. He called for Mike and together they determined it was a major plumbing problem including, but not limited to removing a 56 year old cast iron pipe that was completely blocked. The following morning, right on the minute, Art Boulais and Tony Nava pulled up. They deliberated and trouble shot it with the seriousness of a surgeon. Polite, professional, and respectful of all our concerns, they set to work. Never stopping for 7 hours. They came up with a creative and practical solution and implemented it with urgency. My husband and I are pleased and satisfied with all the attention and courteousness of Rescue Rooter. We will always call for them or refer them.

Got 3 stars cause I had to be rescheduled 4 times after I called them so repair took a week to get done and price was a bit much for the steel pipe they replaced with plastic one only took few hrs to do but workers did get repair done but job got done and works

I am very pleased with the service that we received with ARS rescue rooter. Alan, the repair person, was very kind and patient as we riddled him with questions. He instantly relieved all our fears when he explained what was happening to our flooded basement. Alan did this with a lot of patience and detail. We were so scared cause there was so much water damage. Alan called a clean up crew to do the clean up and told us that we can use our home owners insurance to pay for it. We thought it wouldn't be covered so we didn't even bother to call. The cleanup crew did all the correspondence with our insurance co so we didn't have too. My mom was very grateful for that. In conclusion, what we thought was going to be a huge disaster turned out to be a lot less money and less work for me and my mother. ARS is truely a professional and honest company and I wouldn't call anyone else should I have another plumbing problem.

The technician who came to our house is named Eric, and I have nothing but great things to say about him and his service. We had a blockage in one of our secondary lines, that caused both our washing machine and shower to flood our lower bathroom. Eric had it fixed within an hour and was very personable and helpful! He explained several services they provide, and gave us estimates talking to us about how they’re billing works and that we would have up to a year of interest free payments. After talking to my wife and deciding that we unfortunately couldn’t afford making the payments for the service we wanted, Eric was very understanding and did not use high pressure sales tactics to get us to pick the more expensive option, in fact he didn’t push at all, he wasn’t disappointed, he was just happy to help. It’s because of Eric that I recommend rescue rooter. I will be using their services in the future because of Eric, and I’ll be sure to request his help when I do. He made the whole experience pleasant, despite everything going on in our world today. If I could rate it higher I would. I called to make an apt for same day because I was getting no hot water. I called at 2:30 PM, and I had someone in my house by 3:30 (probably earlier). He was able to tell me quickly that I needed a new water heater. The problem was they didn't make the size I needed for a 50 gallon water heater. If we got the new water heater, we would have to remove a wall in order to get it in. So he called everyone he knew until he found one the size we needed. Just in case, he also provided us with other options, i.e. tankless water heater, two 40 gallon tanks, or one 40 gallon tank. We were able to get the 50 gallon tank and we didn't have to remove a wall. He was great, and knowledgeable, and made sure we understood how to maintain the water heat in order to get the best out of it. Definitely use Rescue Rooter they were fantastic.

Had water coming up from the main drain in my basement, I jumped into action trying many techniques that ultimately wasn’t successful! I jumped on Google and searched for “roto rooter” and Rescue Rooter popped up and I made the call. The lady mentioned they had a drain clear special for $59! She mentioned that she was able to put us as priority due to no toilets working and had standing water in the basement! Tony arrived about 50 minutes from my initial call. He was great! Very professional and quick to get the drain cleared! He also had his supervisor come to use a drain cam to see the integrity of my main drain. It does have a compromise and they were able to give me a quote to get it repaired in the future!

We had hutch changing our toilets pressure tank. He did a fenomenal job! We had two other technician coming to the house and misdiagnosed the problem and charging us an eye for the job. One of them refused to just change the pressure tank itself he wanted us to change the whole top part of the toilet. (Inside tank and porcelain) because he was to lazy to take the inside tank out and put the new one. But hutch in 2 hours finished our two toilets and did complain about the job. We had a drain that was clogged in an old house, on a Sunday no less. I looked on line for a plumber and chose ARS Rescue Rooter because it said they were open sundays. The young lady that answered the phone was professional and very polite. The technician, Chase Day was at the house 2 hours later. He was so professional, knowledgeable and helpful. His customer service was top notch. He gave me his recommendations of what he thought needed to be done. Told me different options and bids for the work to be done. As a homeowner for over 25 years I've had to call rooters on numerous occasions, and can definitively say Tony was the most knowledgeable and thorough technician I've ever seen. How do I know I can trust the guarantee that the technician promised would be in force? But, again, I admit that the service was great.

My landlord repeatedly asked if I was flushing disposable wipes or feminine products, which I replied no every time. The last guy that was here, (from another company) just used a router which was a temporary fix. This time they diagnosed it as tree roots! Mike told my landlord that it wasn't anything that I did without me even having to ask him! It also barely smelled when he took off the toilet. I live in a small apartment, so it really matters. We had a drain get clogged (with roots, it turned out). I jumped on google to look at reviews, and asked these guys to come take a look. Theron showed up that day and scoped the main sewer line. He pulled out quite a bit of roots, then explained our options: 1) Scope it now, expect to scope it again within a couple years. 2) FIX the darn problem by adding a new liner to essentially replace the cracked ceramic/tar line we had. #2 was more expensive, but would pay off on the long term. We decided to do the liner solution, which involved digging up part of our yard, putting in some new pipe sections, getting city inspections, and putting the lawn back together. Rescue Rooter took care of everything, was very friendly, professional, and efficient over the few days they were here. They did a good job giving us options and executing the one we chose. They even helped take a stump out of our yard that was adjacent to the work area, saving me from another headache. I would highly recommend them.

I do not fault the technician for this complaint. I was told by the dispatcher I could expect a tech between 0900-1100 hrs. The tech arrived at approximately 1430 hrs. I did not receive a followup call until more than 45 min passed the deadline initially given. David was the tech who responded and he was very well mannered, well spoken, and thorough. David wore his booties as he entered the dwelling every time. David covered all options pertaining to the repair resolution and kept me informed of progress and issues discovered along the process. He completed repairs in a timely manner and cleaned up after himself. Updated Post: I upgraded this to a 5-star review for a few reasons. I was annoyed I had to pay $200 but I think they could benefit from some better advertising. In the end, my wife felt the man doing the work was extremely honest and before proceeding, he set proper expectations. He spilled toilet water on accident on our stairs and had a carpet cleaner come clean our stairs at no additional charge. Great service! It came out that my daughter stuck a cup in the actual toilet. There was no way we were getting that out ourselves. Prior Review: Disappointed in the advertising. I was told a $59 for a toy stuck in my toilet and they mentioned that a toilet is not a drain repair. Upset at the price. He offered 10% off which was a nice gesture, but the total was around $160. I knew others that would do it for $79 so I was upset they weren't upfront on that.

My toilet was PLUGGED - as in not working at all - and was leaking over the top. Rescue Rooter was the first to call me back after I left messages with several service places advertising 24/7 service and 45 min to be at your door... yeh. Tony showed up and was so nice and professional. He certainly knows what he is doing and took very good care of me. He did have to return and it ended up that I hadn't noticed a part that had fallen in the toilet between visits. He was fair in his charging me and the price for a weekend call turns out to be their regular rate. That is amazing! I expected to pay a lot more. I have the number in my phone. Mike Cox was the service rep that came out to my house. I had a drain that had clogged under my water heater (so it was hard to reach) and needed to drain for my water softener (needed to frequently drain). It was flooding my basement and causing damage. The drain was so old that it had corroded and was completely closed off due to sediment. Mike stayed for 4 hours and worked as hard as he could to clear my drain with success! He went out of his way to make sure I didn't pay for anything that wasn't necessary and to make sure I felt like I was taken care of. In addition to everything else, he was a genuine nice guy. I would use these guys again and again and I will always ask for Mike!

I have a home built in the 1950s. When I first moved in issues with plumbing were bad. I called Action Plumbing and was told I needed to repipe my whole home and left me with a quote of 3K plus and the option to take out a loan for the repair. Initially it made sense because of the age of the home, but I called in Rescue Rooter for a second opinion. Jeff was amazing. He let me watch while he inspected the issues with my constant clogs, and was explaining everything he was doing. He was very cool and easy going, and because he was so informative I felt comfortable trusting his bid of of $470 to scour jet my pipes, to have them like new. The process didn’t take longer than an hour, and included in this price he even repiped part of my sink that was wearing away with rust. Rescue Rooter SLC is awesome! I had a major water sewer backup problem yesterday (living in a house built in the 40's). After the disaster clean up last night, I called Rescue Rooter this morning (Sat) and the technician Mike J showed up within an hour. Scoped the sewer and decided to have his supervisor Don D to take a look. It was pretty nasty down there, a lot of "cereal" and roots. They provided two different options and worked with me every way they can to keep my cost down. Very trustworthy and responsive. They are honest upfront and explained all the possibilities to make sure I am comfortable with whatever decision I made. Highly recommend. I will do an update once the work is done.

Jake Barnwell and Scott Curtis with Rescue Rooter were absolutely the best at Jetting the sewer line of a home built in 1950 that my buyer clients are purchasing. They gathered all the information they needed to be sure they could access the line in the best way. With Jake on a scope and Scott on the hydro jet equipment they were sure to cause no damage while thoroughly cleaning out the root balls and finishing with another sweep through to get the line absolutely perfect. They were careful to use the right amount of pressure to not cause the clay to flake and took a great amount of care to preserve the line. My client can be assured that this team performed the best possible service to restore the sewer line to an optimal condition. I highly recommend Rescue Rooter!!

I called Rescue Rooter because my sewage ejection pump would not shut off. Randall came within an hour of my call. After a quick evaluation he gave me an estimate. I approved it and he went to work. He kept the mess contained and cleaned up after himself when the job was done. He explained why the problem occurred, what he was doing to keep it from happening again, and answered my questions. I am confident in his work and glad to have the problem resolved! The price was about $500 for about two hours of labor (no parts).

We had just arrived for a Thanksgiving visit to find Mika and Tyler from Rescue Rooter continuing to work on the necessary emergency plumbing issues at our daughter's home. Our visit has now concluded and what we experienced from the superb and dedicated work from Mika and Tyler from Rescue Rooter was truly a rescue and a myriad of replaced faucets, new toilet, and a soft water upgrading. All worked perfectly upon their departure and all frozen calcified water valves and new toilet performed perfectly, and looked to be expertly and cleanly installed. We were very impressed with the professionalism of this crew as well as their willingness to explain even the most common of our questions. In this day of shoddy quick buck practices, it was refreshing to witness two dedicated plumber/technicians who cared as much about their customer (and family) as they did about simply selling and splitting. At about 5pm on a Saturday our main drain pipe backed up. We called, and they told us they would send a tech out within two-three hours. Alex Y. showed up, ready to help! He talked us through what was going on and the process he was using to fix our problem. When it didn’t seem to work, he had a plan B, skipped C (we don’t talk about plan c), and D. We eventually figured out it was an issue with his machine, and he would have to come back the next day free of charge. However he was able to get it unclogged enough to where we could use it over night, until he had returned. He had a positive attitude the whole time, and was a pretty funny guy. He came back today and without half an hour with his fixed machine was able to completely clear the clog. For it being my first experience with a Plummer, Alex was amazing! Thanks Alex!

We had an emergency plumbing situation at Adibs Rug Gallery where I manage. We phoned several plumbing companies and none were available for hours and some not till the next day. Plumber was great and taught me as he worked on the project. Would have gotten a 5 star review but felt a little bait and switch with the price. Ad says drain clean out is $59. My sink didn’t have a devoted drain clean out line so it cost quite a bit more, even though all they had to do was take the U-bend off to run the snake.
