My grandson threw a toy in the toilet that clogged the toilet. Benjamin was here much quicker than expected. He explained clearly what the options were to fix the clog and the cost for each. Fortunately he was able to clear the clog quickly using the least aggressive method. From the time I called to the time the issue was resolved was less than 2 hours. I’m extremely happy with the service. It was expensive, but I expected that. I was happy to pay in coin for the quick resolution since my grandkids will be back tomorrow. He also recommended a toilet lock and told me where to get one.

Our plumber was James. We had a washing machine hookup done. I can’t say enough about his professionalism, punctuality and the quality of his work. Within a very short time of our call, he showed up, looked at the job, explained how he would accomplish it, and gave a quote. The next day he showed up right at the time he promised, with a smile on his face, and spent the time necessary to do the job. Nothing was rushed, and the quality of the work was impeccable. Afterwards, he walked me through the job to ensure I knew where all the pipes and hookups were located. The area was clean, and left just as he found it. We will definitely request James the next time we need a plumbing job done!

This was my first time using Roto-Rooter services and they did not disappoint! After having a big issue with my main drain being clogged, I called RotoRooter and they were able to send a technician over very quickly. They kept me posted up till the appointment! Once the plumber arrived he went downstairs to see what was going on and found a cracked cast iron pipe along with several other issues! Within 15 minutes of arrival I had an estimate of what it would cost which was a very fair price! I agreed and the work began. Bathroom sink was leaking badly with water dripping from hot water line & the “main drain pipe” thing (or so I thought.) The plumber found the issues right away…hot water line was leaking & corroded…he replaced it in a couple of minutes. The other leak wasn’t the drain pipe at all. The aerator had become clogged & was spraying all over, so I had removed it. Turns out that on this faucet, without the aerator, the water didn’t just flow straight down. Some of it was traveling down the underside of the faucet & flowing over & behind the sink. He put on a new unclogged aerator…problem solved. They’re expensive, but very good…had used RR when I lived in NC & that plumber was just as good (that was a big job with some problems & he worked his butt off)…knowledgable, good work, very neat about the work, not leaving a mess. In both circumstances, the plumbers cut back on the bill some. They realize that RR can be pretty pricey & if they do something that’s “no big deal” to them, the guys I’ve had didn’t feel comfortable charging the full price. They were considerate & helpful.

we had sewage back-up on a Sunday morning. Roto-Rooter was at our home within the hour. the initial technician was soon joined by another with a camera to get into the pipes in order to examine and diagnose the problem. Those two were joined by a 3rd who had more powerful equipment that might have cleared the problem. Turns out the pipes and the layout of the pipes in our very old house that equipment unusable. We were then joined by a technician who diagnosed what type of clean up we would need. All of the employees were prompt, polite, informative, hard working - making what was a disastrous Sunday so much easier to deal with. The work spilled in to a second day in order for one of the employees to go to City Hall and pull prints to try to locate the outside trap!! After doing that "the boss" showed up to add his expertise to figure out how to get the job completed. Our first technician Joe Tremblay worked tirelessly to finish the job. We could not have asked for better or more professional assistance. Everyone (Joe, Nick, Chuck, John and the Boss) were polite, patient and thorough. we have an operating system again and we are very thankful.

I had a toilet in the basement that had flooded up and out and they came and inspected the drain, explained what was going on, and jetted out my drain pipe and the whole process took less than 2 days. The servicemen were professional, helpful and cleaned up after themselves. The problem is now fixed and they explained that the so-called flushable toilet wipes were a big part of the problem. The service was pretty expensive, however, but should get ahead of any worse problems in the future.

Roto Rooter was here right away and took care of clearing the clog. They sent their water mitigation team and the very next day cleared out my basement install fans so it would dry. Sprayed everything with an anti microbial. Provided Bull Bags for removal of everything that was damaged. Contacted the company to remove those Bull bags. The only delay is the company that provides the Bull Bags removal service has not contacted me yet, it's been 4 days.

Friday evening we had an emergency in main pipe in basement. After calling four plumbers, they didn’t do the work or were not available. I googled the issue I was having & Rotor Rooter popped up. I called them & they were at the house within the hour & again on Saturday to properly assess my issue. By Monday morning the issue was repaired and it was a big job. We were extremely grateful that they responded as fast as possible and took care of us as quickly as they did. The best part was they inspected the entire system but only repaired what was needed. Hired them to redo kitchen sink plumbing to fit new sink. The job was done right. The job involved cutting two pipes and installing small section of new plumbing to match new sink drains. Price was very high ($900) for this type of job considering it was easily accessible, required minimal materials, and was done in 1 hour. But we were desperate since we had a family gathering the next day. Second time we've used them and both times their prices have been steep. My advise is: if you need something done very soon/urgently: call them. If you need something done at a fair price: call someone else.

Joe DeSimone, the project manager, came out and gave an accurate proposal for replacement of the house trap component of my sewer line, required excavation work, and arranged for core drilling needed to bring my sump pump up to code. He was a breeze to work with and kept me up to date as the project progressed. The technician, John Facchiano, Jr., went above and beyond to help remedy an overly complicated sewer drain and sump pump issue that had plagued us for six years. He took the time to properly diagnose the problem and worked in an extremely confined area to make the upgrades work for us. He also helped diagnosed a "phantom flushing" toilet that four other plumbers have evaluated but could never fix. He was very efficient and took the time to explain the project steps (even as new things were uncovered). Truly a master of his craft! Thank you for a job well done and after six long years, finally a headache gone! Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Roto-Rooter Plumber and Technicians did an excellent job. I had what I thought was a small leak from a faucet. The Plumber immediately showed me where the inner workings of the faucet had broken and it needed to be replaced. He would have gone to get a new faucet but I enjoy picking out exactly what I want. He told me exactly what to get. He came back the next day and had no issue with installing it. In the meantime he told me that a Mitigation Specialist, John, from Roto-Rooter would be coming out because I may have some water damage. I later learned that I had extensive damage to my kitchen and basement. I also had other Technicians from Roto-Rooter checking out all the damage to my kitchen subfloor and basement insulation among with some other damage. They also called in an Insurance Adjuster, Christopher, from my insurance company. They showed me all the damage in my kitchen and basement. I Iearned that any wood that was still wet with water would have to be replaced to prevent mold from developing. I was amazed by the Roto-Rooter Team Effort as they worked alongside the Insurance Adjuster working out a plan to repair the subfloor, replace all the kitchen floor ceramic tile of which I look forward to picking out, and repair the damage in the basement. I promptly received a check and hired Single Source Disaster Repair Specialists who will be able to complete all this work within a couple of weeks. I am a newly retired widowed senior citizen that does not have much knowledge of these matters. Roto-Rooter Technicians took control of this situation. They knew exactly who to call and kept me well informed about all the steps that needed to be done. I was treated with respect and everything was carefully explained to me. I never once felt that I was being taken advantage of and feel very confident that all the Technicians that came to my house were being very honest about the damages and repairs that were needed and necessary to preserve my house. Roto-Rooter Technicians took care of a disastrous situation and took control of it immediately. They have all the resources and talented Technicians to deal with any situation they come across. I retired from the medical field and while watching all these Roto-Rooter Technicians and the Insurance Adjuster with different responsibilities work together as a team taking care of all the water damage I was reminded of a busy hospital ER staff taking care of a critical patient. I definitely did the right thing by calling in the Roto-Rooter Team! I highly recommend Roto-Rooter for any kind of issue because they can be trusted to do the best work as I watched them do an excellent job of taking care of my home in a caring and professional way. I would highly recommend Roto-Rooter for any of your plumbing needs and I would not hesitate to call them the next time I need a Plumber.

The service was very good in communication, took his time, and was great to work with! His task was to open the main drain line, which he did. Whether the “repair” is truly a repair is an open question as he did not have a working camera to inspect the source of the problem, but RotoRooter is supposed to send out another tech to handle that. It would be better if they provided all techs with working cameras all the time to allay concerns about “will we be okay tomorrow?” But back to the top, the service tech was terrific!

I was surprised that they were able to send a technician so quickly and there was not an "after-hours" jacked up price for the service. We recently had a strange situation here at LFI, Inc. in Smithfield, RI. In a building that was built in the late 70's we began to develop issues with sewerage backing up into the building. We were serviced promptly by Roto Rooter and it was determined, using their fiber camera system, that a rock beneath the concrete slab floor had somehow managed to punch through the main PVC sewer pipe for the entire building, collecting waste and backing up the building. John Facchiano was able to identify very accurately the location of the break, thereby minimizing the amount of jack hammering and business disruption. The hole created was back-filled and cemented over by John, a very professional job start to finish. To our amazement Tyler double checked all the pipes to ensure water was flowing through the main drain leading to the septic to ensure there was no stoppage. We had an overflow causing back up in our tub and toilet and a leak in our basement. After trying everything I could to fix the issue myself, I had no choice to call a plumber. The technician Nate, Tech #3683, came out initially at the only time that worked for me the day when I called. He attempted to snake and flush out the plumbing for 2 hours, but the issue we were facing was much bigger than initially believed. We were faced with a disaster that would take huge money to fix the issue, but Nate did not make me feel pressured at all, and Bill in mitigation came to the house later on and gave me very valuable information on what we were up against. I called the City, they were useless in the matter, telling me I needed a plumber without giving any suggestions or options. After shopping RR price we decided to use their services for the excavation and replacement of our pipes in our yard. The technician Nate, and the excavator John, were extremely responsive in the seriousness of our issue, and came within 16 hours notice to do the job! They kept me informed all along each step of the way and did a great job covering up the yard and even put my fence to the backyard back in for me! These guys were quick with their work but very careful at the same time. I would definitely recommend that if one of you have a plumbing issue you request Nate from RotoRooter, he was professional, didn't make me feel pressured, and took the time to explain everything in great detail when I had several questions and many more of the same q's. These guys did a great job, we are very satisfied with the work that these two did for us, it was not cheap, but they did a great job and I now feel that problem is fixed, and fixed the right way!

Our bathroom tub was not draining and we called Roto Rooter. I easily scheduled my appointment on a Sunday night and they came out right away on Monday. Ruiz did a nice job explaining what the issue was a provided insight into our repair options. Ruiz was able to help us schedule to have our old lead pipes replaced for a more permanent repair. Ruiz was very friendly and took proper covid precautions. Derrick came out today to replace our corroded lead pipes causing our backup issue. He was very friendly and explained the job to us. He did his work in a safe and efficient manner. We would definitely call Roto Rooter again for service.

When our basement flooded I got Rotor-Rooter's name off of Angie's List. They have an A rating. I got a representative when I called who sent a consultant to our house within an hour of my call. Conor evaluated the area and called my insurance company. He up set the water removal to be done. Manny and Chris arrived two days later. They removed the damaged rugs and walls, set up drying equipment and monitored the equipment for three days until the moisture reading of the studs were within normal limits. Rotor-Rooter sent all of the information including pictures to my insurance company. I did not have to do anything. They did a great job and they did it fast.

We moved into our new house (built in 1935) a week ago. We woke up a few days ago with water all over our basement floor. The washing machine drains into a mop sink which had overflowed because of a clog further down the waste line. We used liquid plumber, but it didn't help. We called Roto Rooter around 9 pm and were able to make an appointment for the next day. The technician, Matt (#3191) came in and snaked the clog free, explaining things to me and chatting all the while. Turned out to be a build up of cooking grease (from the kitchen sink and dishwasher) and soap scum. He left me with liquid pipe cleaner to use once a month. The whole experience was really great, despite the cost (a flat fee of $465). The work came with a 6-month guarantee, which is more than I had expected. If we had more of an emergency, the on-call technician could have come the same night we called for the same price. The hours were really convenient for us. I hope I never need them again, but I would recommend 100% for clogged pipes and waste lines.

In spite of all my efforts, I could not remove bathtub hardware that I had installed years ago. This left me with no choice but to call in a plumber. I called roto rooter after I lodged a rental power snake into the exit for waste in my basement floor and was unable to remove it. I was STUCK! The dispatch system worked great! Within a half our I was on the phone with a technician (Ryan Leary) who was eager to help. He arrived within 40 minutes of our conversation (after he stopped off at the local water dept. to get a septic plan for my property). He did not laugh at me (which I expected) and was extremely efficient in setting up the required removal of my cast iron pipe. The next day the pipe was efficiently replaced and they set up the camera to examine the remainder of my system. Unfortunately for me tree roots were blocking the outlet to the street. Next morning at 8 am a contractor(Foster Excavating) was digging up my lawn . Everything went like clockwork! They finished in less than three hours and the tech with the hydro cutting tool arrived and cut out the roots in the remaining pipe. I am very pleased with the entire experience in dealing with your company. The techs and contracting crew were all neat , careful, and awesome to deal with. The only pain the I experienced in the entire process was paying the bill! But I believe that you get what you pay for : And all is fine. I called Roto-Rooter at 9 pm. They were at my house within an hour and assessed the situation. We had a problem with our main drain line that connects to the sewer system and it flooded our basement. At 7:00 am they sent in a crew with 4 trucks and worked all day on cleanup and demo of the cabinets, walls and flooring that were all damaged. The next day the excavators showed up dug down to the foundation and replaced the plumbing and installed a cleanout in 6 hours. My washing machine was backing up on July 3rd and they were able to send someone out right away. The technician that came out Matt Morin # 5101 was very professional and knowledablew about what was going on. He was able to talk me through the whole process and was very personable while he was in my home. He was unable to finish the job without a different piece of equipment, and was willing to go get it and come back to the house, although it was already late, and we decided the next day would be better. I appreciate that your service workers are obviously well trained and experience. Nate initially responded to snake the drain but was able to critically think what else could be causing our problem and not only called in the next guy who had a camera but also noticing the water in the basement and called in a water remediation guy to discuss our options. Although the diagnosis was an expensive one for me I realized that I have been actually wasting a lot of money having the plumber I have used clear the drain every once in awhile because he wasn't able to identify the real problem. Nate did a great job and was quick to respond to our call and very friendly and professional. Matt M. was awesome, telling us what he was seeing on the camera and trying to find the actual spot that was affected which was a bit confusing so he went out of his way to took run back to the office and get the prints of our main line which helped us figure out the problem. He went above and beyond and even took the initiative to discuss the issue with our neighbor who shared our line. Like I said I have been hesitant in the past to call Roto-Rooter because I thought they would be more expensive than my plumber but this experience has changed my mind and I think their services will actually save me a lot of money in the long run because they will get to the "root" of the problem.

I called Roto Rooter when my tenant called to say that his toilet wouldn't flush on his side of the duplex. I went over there & none of his plumbing was draining. The service guy was at the house within an hour of me calling. He tried snaking the toilet, pulled the toilet & snaked again but nothing was working. He went down into the basement & it turned out that the vent stack was blocked due rust flakes settling on the bottom. I was in the midst of having a new roof put on & he figured all the hammering on the roof caused the issue. My plumbing wasn't affected as it goes into the main line after the vent stack. He cut into the mainline, cleaned everything out & then replaced the pipe. Jim H was very thorough in his work, clean & super polite. Being a widow I'm ultra sensitive to both repair people & contractors who talk down to me or try to take advantage of me. Jim H was wonderful, made what was a stressful experience much easier. My father (a senior) had a slow kitchen drain that eventually stopped. He likes to deal with people he knows so he called a plumber who had done work for him in the past. Called RotoRooter and for a leaky pipe and they said it might take up to 4 hours to get someone there. But within minutes, they called back and said someone was on the way and would be there in 30 minutes! Dennis Delvecchio (Plumber #5125) arrived and was great. He had to climb three flights of stairs multiple times, work in a confined space, and open up the ceiling to even get at the leaky pipe, but he managed it well. It was fixed in no time, and he worked hard to replace everything he had to take down to get to the pipe -- it looked almost as good as new when he was done. Dennis was very professional and concerned about not only doing the job well on the pipe, but also about fixing my ceiling and making sure the site was back to normal when he was finished. He was also very friendly and helpful, putting me in contact with someone (through RotoRooter) to help me out with the water damage that the leak had caused. I can recommend RotoRooter in general, and Dennis D in particular, very highly highly! He did a great job.

Unfortunately we got a sewer backup on a weekend night. We were unable to break through ourselves and calling in for an emergency plumber makes your heart want to stop. Fortunately we found Roto Rooter online. When we called we learned there was no fee for the technician to come by and tell us what we need. They have a lot of respect for what they do and for the customer. I particularly want to mention two employees, Matt #5101 and John #2845. I commend them both for their work ethic. They did what they said they would do, all with a positive attitude. All companies could take a lesson from the way Roto-Rooters is run. I did not have to worry about anything. We just had Jim H out to the house and I was not only impressed with his service, but he did a great job of explaining everything and triple checked to make sure nothing was leaking into my bedroom, which is directly below the bathroom he worked on. The customer service on the phone was atrocious. I know it is a national service, but they need to improve things there. I called with a emergency situation as my hot water was stuck on. They told me they would DEFINITELY have a technician out before 6pm that day. I received a follow-up call at 4pm letting me know that the technicians were all still on other jobs, but would be routed asap. I thanked them for the follow-up call. At 5:43pm, I received a call that no one would be coming. They said they did not have any available plumbers. I told them again that I had hot water running which would affect my water bill and oil bill and now they wanted me to wait another day with it running, and they said they would send someone the next day. I told reminded them they said DEFINITELY today, and that I would have found another plumber- not to mention that the website says 24/7 service. They declined to send someone and said I would have to wait until the following day. I told them I had a mandatory meeting at work from 9am - noon and they said they would send someone between noon and 3pm. The next day, they started calling on repeat dial at 10:21am. Since I was in a meeting, I couldn't take the calls. The left several messages. When they kept calling, fearing they would cancel my appointment, I excused myself from the meeting pissing off my boss, coworkers, and those who were conferenced in and they said they were coming early and on their way. I explained that I had told them the night before that I was at work until noon. She said they would send someone later. I returned to the meeting but the calls didn't stop. I ignored them and the several voicemails they left until I left the meeting and called back at 12:03. They said the technician was on the way and would arrive in 30 minutes. He arrived 1 hour later. The positive is that he (Derek) was outstanding. He was courteous, professional, clean, friendly and efficient. I would hire him again in a heartbeat and encouraged him to open his own business.

Called Roto Rooter to unclog a kitchen drain in a circa-1840's house in Providence. The plumber, Fernando, arrived within the hour, complete with face mask and social-distance training. After determining that the clog was more extensive than we first thought, he made plans to come back the following day with a special high-pressure drain cleaner. Long story short, our drain is working properly again. So thank you Fernando and Roto Rooter!

My technician Ryan arrived at my home this morning and got much more than he could have imagined. After bringing a 150 pound snake down narrow wooden steps that are very old began to attempt to remove the cap off of one clean out and couldn't get the cap to move. Ryan seemed unfazed by this and just moved on to the next trap. This time we had to move a full chest freezer which Ryan did without my help. Again the cap wouldn't budge after some 20 minutes of spraying lubricant and hammering the wrench. At this point Ryan had to call his supervisor following protocol. He then dragged the snake back up the stairs and bring it into to the smallest half bath in town, pulled the toilet and went about the job of snaking the whole line. He finished put everything back together refusing to let me help him clean the mess. He also explained to me all my options moving forward. I was very impressed with this young man, his work ethic and how he never got upset at any of the roadblocks that he encountered and overcame. I had a busted garbage disposal unit that needed to be removed as it was causing leaks and slow draining!! The technician James T. (#3117) was extremely fast to arrive! He was able to remove the unit and replace it with thicker 2" PVC and a vent, solving all my issues.
