This company is fantastic. Cody and Tony are the best!!! They truly look out for the customer. We had to have all our drains replaced in the house due to old cast iron piping. The did a great job!! Very honest and straight forward. They actually stand by their work. I would highly recommend this company for any plumbing related issues.

On 1/3/23 I had Gold Star provided me estimate the replacement of gas water heater, garbage disposal, and kitchen faucet. The price is reasonable and it's included 9 years part and labor warranty with yearly flush for the water heater. On 1/20/23 Rey G. came out promptly at 9:00am to perform the work. He is very polite, professional, very focus, and pay attention to details. He installed new supply line, shutoff valve, T&P for the water heater and it looks so nice and neat as everything was cut precisely. He also installed the kitchen faucet, garbage disposal, and reconnected my RO line to the refrigerator. I am very happy with the quality of work performed by Rey. I would use Gold Star again for other plumbing works and also recommend to others.

These guys are amazing, from the installation crews to the office staff. My water heater died on a Thursday afternoon and where other companies couldn’t come until at least Monday, Gold Star was able to reach out to Cody, a nearby Tech and he was there an hour later! He made his recommendations and the next day was back with a crew and the new parts. Five friendly and professional guys worked like a seasoned crew to replace my old tank with a well-reviewed Navien tankless system and water softener/filter, in just 3 hours! In this time they also installed recirculation equipment to ensure we got hot water a little faster to the farthest end of the house. They were happy to let me watch and answer any questions. I feel like I paid a reasonable price for the work considering the times and am happy with the quality and appearance of the installation. A few days later the ladies in the office followed up to be sure all was good and had even found a small credit to give back. I highly recommend Gold Star!

I originally called Gold Star Plumbing out to see how much it would cost to install a whole house loop in order to have a whole house filtration system installed by a different company. Gold Star was able to provide a cheaper alternative and they were able to have it completed within a week of issuing the quote. Not only that, but they fixed some piping that was out of code on our water heater while they were here, no extra charge. I really liked the feature of having an email and text sent without tracking information for the technician as well as a picture of who is coming. Everything was very professional from start to finish. I will definitely be using Gold Star Plumbing in the future.

We called Gold Star Plumbing & Drain because we noticed salt deposits on our concrete. We were concerned about a water leak. Cody, Richard and Jose ran diagnostic tests and Cody recommended a water softener. We had the water softener installed as ours was older. The next day we were still worried about the leaks and had additional questions. Cody and Mike came back, ran additional tests and put our minds at ease. I already notice the water is better with the water softener so am happy with Cody's recommendation. Mike gave my husband a detailed how-to on the green water softener which he much appreciated. I have a house that was built in 1971 with cast iron drain lines. Those lines have a lifespan of 50 years, or so and my system had failed with multiple drains backing up at once. I got Gold star out there to look at my system, diagnose, and quote the repairs needed. Cody Morgan came out initially, he was right on time, super courteous and had my diagnosis within a few minutes of arrival. With Cody's help we had a plan together with a very competitive estimate, and financing lined up. Within a couple of days I had a team of devoted technicians pulling and replacing my lines and getting my house back on track. Each one of Gold Star's employee's like Anthony Trujillo, Jose Cuevas, and Mike Hill demonstrated the best of customer service, technical knowledge, and job dedication. I was kept in loop on who would be coming by and when with their text/email system, as well as calls from the team in general. Everything got done on time with an attention to quality and cleanliness. Overall I cannot recommend Gold Star and the guys on my team enough, while my job was big I feel confident in the quality of their work and I appreciate the extra mile they went to in getting my drains back in order and dealing with my home owners insurance for the parts covered my policy. They are simply the best!

Had to have the company come out twice in one week for surprise problems. The first was for a leaking shower that needed a new cartridge - which turned into just replacing the entire valve because the cartridge was too old to pull. The second was for replacing our washer shut off valves which were broken and prevented installation of our new washer. Both visits that week were fantastic. The technicians I saw knew what they were doing, were very frank with the situations and costs, and were very communicative about the process. The quality of work was fantastic as well. Overall fantastic service in my experience.

REVIEW #2: A couple of months ago, we started hearing some loud sounds/bangs (like a shotgun going off). We figured something was happening in our neighborhood. These sounds continued, but randomly. Kept checking Next Door, but nothing was talked about or reported. After paying a little closer attention, I realized these bangs were coinciding with the use of hot water in our house. I went into our garage & realized something was exploding inside our tankless water heater whenever we called for hot water from inside our home. The frequency of the banging quickly worsened. Because of this, I turned off & unplugged our whole tankless water system. I contacted Gold Star Plumbing on 11/26/22 (remembering how awesome they'd been when they came to our home the prior June). I think I reached Rachelle again (who had really helped us before). I told her all that was happening & specifically asked if we could have Chris as our technician. She really worked with us & was able to give us Chris' 1st available appointment. Shortly after hanging up, I rec'd a follow up email confirmation letting us when Chris was coming. Chris & Izaak arrived shortly before 11am on 11/28/22. As we were heading towards our "sick" water heater, I tried to prepare them for what was coming. After the noise repeated itself, they were shocked & our unit was very quickly shut off. (They stated they’d NEVER heard a Navien make a noise like what they had just heard. And these guys are preferred Navien installers!) They took some pictures of the unit as it was. Then, took off the front cover. Took more pictures & even contacted their Navien rep trying to maybe get Navien to help us out with the cost (maybe under a warranty, or something), but then they had to break the bad news to us. Our Navien unit had NEVER been installed correctly, so there was no way Navien could warranty it & it was now unsalvageable. (Our prior plumbing company we’d trusted for over 10 years sold us two separate tankless water systems in the span of 7 years. They stated the first one was not fixable. We've since learned they'd never installed the correct adapter parts on one, or maybe even both, of these units to accommodate the usage of propane, rather than natural gas as we found the necessary parts still in their original packaging & melted onto the inside of our unit. Mini explosions had been taking place inside the Navien. All in all, we're EXTREMELY lucky we didn't lose our home &/or someone living in it due to a gas explosion.) We also learned the Nuvo Manor Whole Home filtration system this other company sold us, wasn't doing anything. (This was clear from the calcium build up on all our faucets & multiple plumbing fixtures that were no longer functioning throughout our home.) After receiving the shock of all this news, we assessed our options & decided to put in another Navien unit. We also chose to install a new water softener & we also moved forward with the installation of several new faucets (as they had also become inoperable). While here, we also chose to have them work on some other things in our home that needed some TLC The front office staff worked hard to make sure we had our hot water up & running as soon as possible (as we hadn't had any for a couple of days). They worked with us on our financing options, too, as funds were going to be an issue. All in all, we had the pleasure of being able to work with Chris B., Luis A., Richard C., Jose C. & Izaak B., as several Gold Star technicians were needed to work at our home for nearly an entire week. I truly can't say a bad thing about any of these guys. Every one of them was so professional & personable. They worked long & hard to get everything fixed for us as quickly as possible & never once complained. They were so good about keeping me informed on all they were doing. And, when they left, things looked cleaner than they did when they arrived. I just can't say enough positive things about this company. Each employee really lives up to their "Gold Star" name, too, that's for sure!

One day we were pulling out a cactus, the roots were wrapped around some PVC pipes and they cracked. Water was gushing everywhere and there was no safety valve to stop the leak. I was so luck to get in contact with Cody. He has his team come over the same day and run a hose to the meter so we could have water, then they came back and started the job.When doing the job the tow truck had a line break and they made sure to come and finish the work on the day they said they would Richard and Cody worked for a few hours in the PHX weather to dig up the line and install all new fittings. Cody is nothing short of amazing, he is straight up and honest, and only wants to do the job the right way. So much so he will turn down a job rather than do it wrong. Listen to this man! They are fair, honest and do what they say they will.

I called them late on Thursday and they were able to come and take care of the problem on Saturday which was much appreciated. We have been a customer for the past year. Paul has helped us out several times with broken garbage disposal and broken shower. He is always were upfront and honest on pricing and what needs to be repaired right away versus in the near future. Today he and Trent went above and beyond. We needed a new setup for water to our new fridge. Lowe's delivery was supposed to install the new fridge and move out our old one, but instead they just dropped it off and said 'call a plumber' and left. Nothing was even put together on the new fridge. Not only did Paul and Trent hook up the water to the new fridge, they also installed the new fridge and set it all up for me! I recently purchased a Flo-tech water filtration system from Goldstar plumbing. Aside from the water system being installed, our plumber Cody showed up and he noticed that our water heater was leaking. Upon further discovery, it actually wasn't our water heater that was leaking at all. It was a broken sewer pipe in the wall. If it was not for Cody we may not have discovered this at all! I can't even imagine the damage this would have caused my whole house had he not found this! Thank you Cody for saving our entire downstairs. I highly recommend Goldstar plumbing. The product they installed was a Liberty high quality grinder pump with an high water alarm system. The work was done in a professionally and the master plumbers wore booties over their shoes to protect our carpet and travertine floors. UPDATE 8/25/22: Richard, Jose and Mike Hill were all excellent on my job. It was a difficult 'pull thru' for the new pipe but they all did a fantastic job with a HUGE tow truck. I'd recommend GOLD STAR PLUMBING & DRAIN to anyone for either a big or small job. Kidos the the entire team ! ORIGINAL POST: NOT YET, but maybe very soon... if I could get a much better bid from Gold Star. I am still with NO WATER in my home due to a main supply line burst so Gold Star responded promptly. The 2 quotes I got were very high, especially for just a simple 'patch' on an already exposed water supply line. I'm 80 years old and on a very fixed budget. I needed to speak with my son to see if he could help but I'm not sure. Paul, the tech, that came to the house was very friendly and helpful but I needed some time to speak with my son. Until I can do something, I'm WITHOUT ANY WATER at all. The bids were (are) out of my financial range and I feel 'stuck' between a rock & a broken pipe.

Great installation of a new kitchen faucet. They were late for their 3 hour window and overpriced in my opinion. $350 to install a $50 faucet. I had received a quote from another reputable company first, and they came in just barely over. Because Chris took the time to educate me on the products and process, I chose to go with Gold Star. He helped us realize that the original installation of the walls and floor were done incorrectly by another contractor years ago, without a floor pan! Paul was great last year they put in a tankless water heater and part of it was a couple years of maintenance. They called me to set up an appt for my yearly maintenance then the day of our appt called to reschedule as the tech was tied up with an emergency so we rescheduled. Water backing up in the laundry room. Here is my story. I found a company that would uncogged the drain line for a small fee. They returned with a camera and showed me a " break in the line". I was shown a video, and tricked into believing I had a major issue. I almost said yes. I almost paid thousands of dollars for service I didn't need. I had a leak under the kitchen sink and called Gold Star, thinking it was going to take a week or more for them to come out and they were here in 3 days. Tony showed up and knew right away I needed a new basket strainer and then provided me with a lot knowledge on the reverse osmosis process and how it works as well as the work I was having done. When I scheduled the work to be done, Tony and Dustin showed up. They were both professional and just got off a job, so they had dirt on their boots. I asked them to wear shoe covers and proceeded to give them each a pair that I have and Dustin told me they had them in the truck and didn’t need mine. Then Dustin grabbed a broom from the truck and swept up the dirt. I appreciated that. They kept me in the loop during the whole process, walked me through everything when they were done and cleaned up after themselves. Gold Star saved us money and went above and beyond! I called with a leaking drainpipe. While fixing the drainpipe, Paul saw I didn't have cold water due to an underslab leak a few years ago and offered to fix that issue too! I'd originally called two different plumbers after the underslab leak and they said it couldn't be fixed the easy way (running a new pipe through the old one), which meant the only options were expensive and extensive, so I was saving up to fix it. Paul was able to fix both issues the easy way. No digging up the foundation!

From the first call I made to Gold Star Plumbing the experience exceeded my expectations. My wife and I were considering converting an electric stove to gas. We needed a gas line run to get service to the area of the existing range. Contacted Gold Star about estimate and scheduled an appointment for one of their experienced technicians to come to our home to provide an estimate. He was courteous and professional when arriving and provided the estimate at no charge to us and there was no commitment to have work completed by their company. The quote was emailed with detailed explanation of the project and cost estimate. There was periodic follow-up from Goldstar regarding receiving the quote and our estimate of the project timeline. We were considering our options and did not complete the project for over 6 months because this was part of a lager kitchen remodel project. When it was time for the gas line to be installed the communication was superior with the office and I was able to discuss the scope of the project over the phone with one of Goldstar’s lead technicians. When we were getting close to the project to start Goldstar sent the lead technician to the house a couple days before to complete a job walk to review the project requirements and make sure they were prepared to run the gas line when the crew would arrive a couple days later. The project went smooth and with the city of Gilbert required to inspect the line Goldstar was able to keep our water heater connected for a couple days until the City was able to come to the home to inspect the line. Goldstar returned the day of city of Gilbert was going to inspect the line. They hooked up the line and pressurized the system for city inspector. The line was green tagged by the city with no problems or corrections of the work completed. My wife and I would like to thank both Mike Hill lead technician and Kyle Woodmansee for a job well done to install and test the line. They were both professional and knowledgeable during the gas line installation. Our main contact in the office was Katrina who did a great job keeping us up to date on whom and when the technicians were coming to the house. It was also refreshing to have such a pleasant and professional person to talk to at the office. Communication was excellent with text and email updates with pictures of the technicians that would be arriving at the house. We would highly recommend Goldstar Plumbing and Drain if you want to be completely confident with the final outcome of your project.

Junior was on time, neat, communicative and honest. He took the time to thoroughly assess our situation, and explain what he was doing as he did it. Company X told us we had a cracked outgoing sewer pipe that would require jackhammering through the garage slab, capping the damaged pipe and installing a completely new sewer line. Probably in the neighborhood of 5-7.5K. Junior, on the other hand, told us we had really dirty lines (the house is 28 years old), had no break in the line, and needed it cleaned out with a jet type tool. So, less than 2k, and we're set to get it all fixed up on Friday. Couldn't be happier with Junior and his staff at this time! I'll update when the job is complete. Why is it that every time we need a plumber it’s ALWAYS an emergency?!?! Thank you Gold Star! We called after hours when we noticed our basement pump was leaking. Appointment was set for the next day in the afternoon, but they worked out the schedule to come hours early. Luckily, they sourced an upgraded pump with an alarm and had it installed by the end of the day. The tech made sure every inch of the basement was cleaned and sanitized before he left. I was quoted a much higher estimate from another plumbing company. i feel like we paid a fair price for the work completed, and I am so relieved they could fix my water problems so my new dishwasher can be installed. My recent experience with Goldstar Plumbing has been nothing short of exceptional, and I wish I could give them “6-stars” instead of 5 and here’s why. They were able to complete 3 separate plumbing repairs at my house in one day, but even more impressive than that was the professionalism, expert knowledge, and willingness to come up with an alternate solution that resulted in over a 30% savings from my original estimate. As Mike and Kyle began work on replacing a leaking copper main between the main water meter and my house, they realized that modifications to the original water supply lines which were made after the home was constructed to accommodate a soft water hose bib connection could be reversed back to the original configuration intended by the home builder which would save a significant amount of money. Mike and Kyle were able to provide a new, alternate estimate to return the connections back to the original plumbing configuration which saved over 30% from the original estimate and the work turned out looking great and much simpler than what a previous homeowner had done. I cannot thank them enough for their ability to treat customers in a way that builds trust and create cost-saving solutions. I have been a Commercial General Contractor for over 34 years and have been more of a “do it yourself-er” around the house for a long time, but as I get older and my personal time becomes more valuable, I rely on experts to do a project in a timely fashion and at a fair and reasonable cost and Goldstar Plumbing has lived up to that standard. I am so glad I took the time to read the many customer reviews found online for a variety of plumbing contractors, and when I came across the many positive references for Goldstar, I felt confident that I was making the right choice. And let’s not forget about the great experience that Devin provided during the initial investigation and estimating process. He was very knowledgeable and quickly determined that the water line modifications made in the past were not put in “per code” and explained the process to not only fix the leak, but also to do so in such as way that meets current plumbing code and provides a 10 year warranty. Devin’s attention to detail in writing up the cost estimate, taking photographs of the three separate areas of work I needed done and providing a reasonable cost estimate allowed me to quickly make a decision and sign the contract for work to begin the next morning. My wife and I are close friends with several of our neighbors who all have similar age of homes and we will definitely recommend Goldstar Plumbing to them for potential future work. I found this company on Facebook by asking for good honest workers. The owner was amazing! He was able to send a tech to my house so quickly. Devin the tech took his time to explain my water softener/ filter system and answered all my questions. The unit was here when we bought the house so I didn’t know anything about it. The other's didn't know but wanted to sell me expensive equipment adding things I didn't need. Appt Day: Mike the owner called to say Mike the installer was on his way and they provided a link to track where he was at so I knew exactly when he'd arrive. Upon arriving, Mike was very professional and friendly. I had some errands to run, Mike said no problem he'd call when he was done. this guys are amazing. they were recommended by home-advisor.. called the same day we made the request through home-advisor and where out the next day for an free estimate and were prepared to complete the work at that time if the estimate was accepted. Having a water heater go out can be a stressful thing for a homeowner. It is a hassle from having to take cold showers until repair, up to the cost of a replacement water heater. Called several plumbers to price shop. Goettl wanted $79 just to come out and assess the situation. I quickly eliminated them. RotoRooter came out for free but I knew it was going to be a disaster from the phone call. They were talking about replacement costs/inventory before they even looked at it. RotoRooter also quoted almost $2,000 which is insane. Gold Star offered friendly service from the moment you called their service coordinator, to their licensed plumbers Austin and Devin. I also asked how much to replace hose bib outside and they quoted $200 with a discount. They also did not carry parts for sink job and I told them there is an ace hardware close by so they didn’t have to go to a plumbing warehouse saving them time.

Updating my review here as this company did a fantastic job reaching back out and admitting their mistake. I can definitely sense that they really cared that they dropped the ball, and in a world where everybody makes mistakes, that's what matters. Very poor experience. After setting an appointment and waiting most of the late morning and early afternoon for the plumber to show up, I called at the 12th hour to find out what was going on. Was told there was an error in their system and they apologized and the guy would be out in a few minutes. 30 minutes later, the gps link for the driver that was supposed to show up kept getting further and further from the house... 6 min, 10 min, 12 min. If we wanted to wait all day for a non appointment, we would have called the cable company 😀. Overall, wasted 5 hours.
