Had Dan from Roger Ross come out to do a simple shower cartridge replacement and during the install my 5 year old managed to get ahold of a critical screw and chucked it under the tub and down the wall, essentially gone. Dan was able to quickly revert course and get us a path forward quickly which was highly appreciated with three kids under 5!! Quality work, shows up on time, polite, highly recommend.

We've had a leak in an upstairs bathroom. The leak shortly after we returned from an out of town trip for Christmas. The boiler had gone out and the house had gotten down to 40 degrees. Apparently the freezing of the waterline created a crack in the toilet resulting in the drip leak. The servicemén werw able to turn the water to the toilet off, discuss alternatives for the repair and provided cost estimates.

The problem was bigger than expected and they stayed late and didn’t leave until they had a solution. Update - the work on my leak continued today and it involved a larger problem related to work being done by construction on my street. Absolutely phenomenal service! Came out for a service estimate and these guys were knowledgeable, caught issues that my inspector didn’t catch, and broke down what need to be done and were down to earth about the prices and time needed for completion. They work with houses in manayunk frequently so they are familiar with the plumbing in the older houses. I can’t be more thankful for these guys! During their estimate I had a large furniture delivery and they even helped me move it (which they didn’t have to do and I’m so thankful for!) Definitely will be using these guys for all of my plumbing needs.

We needed a toilet replaced because ours was using too much water per flush which made our water bill double the average household bill. Dan V. and Nick came out and were very friendly and agreed that the guzzler had to go. We talked about options and they educated us on what was best and why. They left and quickly returned with the new toilet. They installed it quickly and left everything neat on top of everything the price was fair. Very fast and efficient service, I had several issues at my new condo (corroded pipes under two sinks, a loose shower lever, and a running toilet). One of the issues ended up being bigger than expected and was a near all-day ordeal, but Dan was able to fix it the same day. In attempting to replace our hose, we broke off a piece of our outdoor pipe on a Sunday evening of a holiday weekend and had to shut off our water to prevent it from spewing out everywhere. Several months ago my wife and I purchased a sizable project. We knew there would be a lot to fix in a 100+ year old home, but despite the dozens of inspection reports, we still somehow underestimated the plumbing risks. The plumbing issues started, I think the first day we bought the house… Roger Ross Plumbing is right around the corner so we decided to go with a neighbor - plus the reviews were excellent. Over the course of 2 months we probably had 6-8 unrelated pluming issues. I’m guessing around 20-25 hours of work in total. Dan Vieldhouse was the primary technician here the most, and we couldn’t be happier with his level of service and communication. He routinely went above and beyond to ensure the job was done right - that meant late nights, early mornings, searching for rare parts, carefully explaining the root cause of issues, etc. He had no fear of the old toilets and pipes. We had had a few other plumbers quote some things before going with Roger Ross, and I remember it being obvious they were nervous. I feel like they gave us lazy quotes and insisted “everything had to be replaced.” Dan knew his way around the old stuff, and I’m confident he saved us thousands by fixing what we had. The home is old but stately, and we wanted to preserve as much of the character as possible. I’ve been a homeowner for 8 years now and I can’t say I’ve ever felt good after a plumber left - until recently. I don’t have a ton of context because many of the issues were new to me as a homeowner, but my sense is that the fees and material costs were reasonable and fair. I’d highly recommend Roger Ross Plumbing, and ask for Dan.

Slow draining bathroom sink- ran snake to open fully. Plumbers should have put a tarp down. I’m still cleaning black gunk from the rooter left on floor and wall. Your price is exorbitant for a 1/2 hr call. I used your service in January to repair a leaky basement storm water pipe that took more time and paid less. I won’t call you again.

Moved into a new place recently and had a few plumbing problems I had to get addressed. They were good about contacting me pretty promptly after getting in touch, setting an appointment up, and following up afterward on the issue to make sure they were taken care of. Had to get a toilet replacement due to a faulty toilet that was at the house, and they did great at the new installation, and following cleanup and removal of the old toilet. Prices also seemed very fair for the work that was done, and the people they had out were very professional and good to talk to. I would certainly call them again in the future if anything else needs to be fixed.

Quick and clean removal and install of new disposal. They forgot a small part (conduit cover) and promptly came out next day to fix. Plumber wore a face mask and was polite and professional. Decent prices and second time using them (first time they replaced part of a leaky basement pipe), would consider them our go to plumbers. Their work is always precise and cleanly done. Only complaint is sometimes hard to reach them on the phone.

I cannot say enough about the service we received on two separate occasions. Once, for an outside line that connected to our hose that was leaking. The other was just yesterday connecting a copper pipe to a new refrigerator. Both experiences were great! The issue yesterday ended up being more complex than just a hook up. Employees went above and beyond to check the lines in the basement. A valve ended being an issues so they left, got the piece needed and returned within 20minutes to complete the job. No stress on our part at all, totally professional and couldn’t be more pleasant to have in our home to help us get things working correctly. Always a pleasure and our go to with any repair needs!

I contacted Roger Ross Plumbing to fix the tub spout in my bathroom, which was leaking behind the wall. Scheduling was easy and the people on the phone are very nice. The plumbers showed up a bit before the scheduled time and were finished with the job in about a half hour, they attached a threaded fitting to the pipe and re-installed the tub spout. It’s working now with no leaks, I would recommend Roger Ross if you need any plumbing work done.

Roger Ross plumbing did excellent work. An appointment was to replace the outdoor spigot that could not close and was running water and install an interior shut off for that water line. Tyler arrived on time with an assistant. Tyler was efficient, professional, and clearly explained what they were going to do to investigate the problem. Once the issue was identified, he explained the required repair. It turns out that installing an interior shut off is an involved project. The our door cabinet is tied into the main bathroom waterlines which are in a wall that has fixed cabinets installed in front of it. Access to those pipes requires moving or cutting out the back of cabinetry. I determined that was a project for another time. Tyler proceeded to document the issue thoroughly with photographs so when we do add the shut off the information will be available. Then they worked quickly and very neatly to remove and replace the outside spigot. I've used Roger Ross plumbing for a variety of jobs including valves, leaking pipes, even leaking radiator issues. They are competent, fair, and continue to be my first call for any plumbing concern in my own home or any of our investment properties.

VERY professional. Smart guys who you like to have a beer with ! Found the problem in minutes, fixed it and ended a very cold 4 day period. I own three apartments and will use their service from now on. I ended a 30 year relationship with a local East Falls plumber who really overcharged me on the last two bills. Then was angry that I asked him to give me an assessment of what the costs would be. They send a one page one line bill by mail. This company streamlines the process online. I did not need to replace anything as my old plumber stated, he just didn't want to do it. Said he needed to order the part, left me in the cold , literally for 4 days, and RRP fixed it and honestly told me it was old but did not need replacing. Honesty counts. Their trucks are stocked. I am requesting them back to fix a toilet also broken by the former plumber who just didn't care to do it right. Toilets are not complicated.

My father in-law was experiencing a leak in his ceiling so I called Roger Ross Plumbing to come open up the ceiling to see if they could find what was causing it. I spoke with Natasha who was incredibly friendly and helpful in getting the appointment set up (If you call ask for her, she honestly made this entire experience so much easier). PJ came to the house and opened up plaster and lath ceiling (Not a clean or easy task) and ran the upstairs water for a leak but after an hour we realized that no of the pipes were leaking. There was a lot of corrosion and bad "plumbing" work from previous contractors band-aid projects so we decided to keep the ceiling open for a week or so and see if the leak returns and then we can go from there. PJ spent the time explaining options and recommending what he believes would be the correct next step if a leak returns. These guys are great and I will use them for my home plumbing needs also! After striking out with two other plumbers, I was referred to Roger Ross Plumbing by a friend. Roger came out to give me an estimate on a Friday and was able to schedule the work for me on Tuesday, only a few days later. He addressed a variety of issues in a second floor bath, including replacing the drain line, installing a new vanity and faucet (which required moving the water lines to accommodate a larger vanity), and reinstalling an existing toilet (which required a new flange). Bob and Tyler were very knowledgeable and did excellent work. They even volunteered to install the hardware on the vanity for me. Roger stopped by midday to check on the progress. I am so happy to have this bathroom that's been a problem for several months fixed in less than a day. The price was very fair for all the work completed. Thank you!

Roger Ross Plumbing and Heating does a very professional job. I called them when my water heater broke and they showed up within a half hour. They turned off the water and because I have another heater they came back the next day and put in a new one. While here they changed out my thermostat and checked my heater, I didn't need to set a different time. Dan, who works for Roger, was very polite and respectful he was also very informative. I've been working with Roger and his team for more than 15 years now on a wide range of plumbing needs: - fixture install for a basement remodel (claw foot tub, couple sinks, toilet with mascerating unit, washer/dryer, tankless hot water heater) - replacement of the basement mascerating unit 14 years later - fixture install for bathroom/kitchen remodel (toilet, sinks, instant hot, disposal, dishwasher, etc) - toilet installs - shower fixture installs - I'm sure there are others, above is off top of my head My most recent experience was with a p-trap replacement for our shower. The tricky part with this: it hangs below our condo just under the ceiling of the garage which is 15 ft high. A scissor lift was supposed to arrive by 10AM, with Roger's crew likely done by noon - but the lift didn't actually arrive until 3:30PM! Roger was able to work around the schedule issues and everything was still completed by the end of the day. As with all the other jobs he has done for me going back 15 years now, he and his crews are professional, courteous, friendly, skilled and efficient; I highly recommend them.

Tyler arrived within the timeframe they promised, he brought a ladder as requested, and went up to the attic to diagnose the issue. He came back down in less than 10 minutes with pictures, a video, and told me exactly what I need to do. It turns out my issue is a minor roofing repair, and it’s not something Rodger Ross’s company can fix, but this clear information and knowledge of the problem was worth their service fee.
