I had a great experience with Goodman Plumbing. I called to make an appointment to have my water heater examined due to some noises it was making. Right away, the person who answered the phone was professional and courteous, and helped me make an appointment for a convenient time. When Sean arrived at my home, we discussed my concerns regarding the hot water heater, and came to the mutual conclusion that the best course of action was to replace it. I also asked Sean for estimates for replacing two water valves in my home. The entire experience was exceptional: not only was Sean courteous and professional, but he took the time to listen to my questions and concerns, and answered them with expert insight. That really put my mind at ease, and I found the estimate to be very fair. We scheduled the work to take place two days later. On the day of the installation, I had the pleasure of meeting Tom. Like Sean, Tom was exceptionally courteous and professional, and answered all of my questions with the same care and insight. I am very impressed by the quality of the work they performed. From the bright copper pipe, to the neat and clean solder joints, it truly looks like a work of art. I am so happy I have found Goodman Plumbing. Without question, they have earned my trust and my future business.

Goodman Plumbing is excellent. We originally called them to vet a potential water heater leak before leaving on vacation (wasn't leaking thankfully). We contracted them again to remove and replace our old waterheater with a new efficiency model. Their pricing is really reasonable for the quality of work, and they're up front if there are any surprises that change the quote. In my case, we had to run additional piping to install a new drain, which added a bit to the total. The work they did was excellent. Everything was super clean and you wouldn't have known everything wasn't already piped the way it was. Would hire again. Oh and they can schedule you really quickly. For the emergency water leak check, they came the morning after we called. For the water heater install, we were able to schedule under a week from requesting.

Excellent and reliable work! We needed emergency service on a Sunday and got an immediate response. Review/Rating update: If anyone wanted to know if Goodman Plumbing actually reads their reviews, I’m here to confirm that yes, in fact that do, and not only that but they take the feedback to heart. I am update my review and rating since my tech Nick kindly gave me a call following and offered reimbursement after a quick discussion. Him acknowledging my feedback and coming with a solution made it clear to me why people are such big fans of this service (aside from other good things already mentioned). Really appreciated the effort to maintain the relationship for long term and Nick definitely turned it around to earn himself a repeat future customer. Original review: Fast response and perfectly nice tech, came on time. However, I am a bit disappointed with the service due to the fact that they charged me $85 to tell me I needed to replace my faucet and to push a plastic gasket back into my floor without using any special tools or explaining exactly what they were going to do after telling me it would be an “$85 fix”. I feel like won’t work with them again because this felt like a bit like being take advantage of as I am clearly not a plumbing expert.

Nick was in & out in 30 mins. He came out early morning as scheduled and gave me a call 15 min before arriving. Water line repair was clean and quick, and exactly what I needed. Rate is high but it saved me 5 gal of water/day and from mopping twice every day. Goodman Plumbing has a reliable one with this guy. I felt my time and home were respected. Will use them again.

I had a serious emergency entailing a water filter that became detached and within moments water flooded from below the kitchen sink, flooding the floors and gushing through the basement ceiling, quickly flooding the basement. A neighbor helped with switching the water off. I called Goodman Plumbing and was relieved that they could come early the next day, July 4. Nick came on time and swiftly identified the problem, removed the water filter, and replaced a corroded pipe. He worked quickly, explained clearly what he was doing, and did a great job. I now have no worries that the problem will arise again. Nick was polite, efficient, and capable. I am so happy that I have a plumbing company I can rely on in an emergency. I will use them for any plumbing work my house needs.

Zach and Brandon did a great job fixing my leaking cast iron sewage pipe! They also noticed the smell of natural gas and were able to isolate the leak and fix it same day for a small extra fee. They were very polite and great to deal with! This is a great company who also installed a tankless water heater and fixed a sink drain. A year ago I had a hot water heater installed by another company; they did a terrible job and ultimately cost me thousands of dollars. This Saturday, the water heater made a sound so explosive it sounded like a bomb. I went downstairs and saw that this explosion actually blew the control panel door off of the water heater. Concerned that it might literally explode, I called Goodman Plumbing as they had come to the rescue previously when this horribly installed appliance left me without hot water for five days. It took less than five minutes - literally - from the time I made the call to when Sean, one of Goodman's skilled plumbers, made it to my house. Less than five minutes on a Saturday to respond to a call. He went over everything, made sure the device would be safe and pointed out the dangerous way the water heater had been connected to the main heating source. He was the third person to do this, so it wasn't about a sale. We agreed that this water heater would remain problematic and never allow me more than a few weeks' peace and that it was better to install another one, which he was prepared to do the very next day, even though it was a Sunday. He actually came with a team on Monday afternoon, so I could still put in a full day of work. Even an amateur like me can tell how much more workmanship went into the installation - and for less money than the original water heater cost. Sean made sure I understood everything about how the heater was installed and how to work it. He taught me how to safely turn off the gas if I ever felt there could be a problem. He explained the process and didn't leave until I understood what had been done. In short, he treated me like a valued customer, and more importantly, a valued person. Everyone I have met from Goodman Plumbing has been caring, respectful and supremely competent. They have responded quickly to my concerns. Sean is the latest among this amazing team to demonstrate what real professionalism looks like and I am truly appreciative.

Amazing job and fair price! I double checked prices with other companies which this company was 3rd to check but should’ve been 1st! They were fast and sufficient and knowledgeable with my needs. We called Goodman, to service our heater. James our technician, was prompt. (Even early). He took his time to diagnose our problem. As my husband suspected, it was a thermocoupliin. Five Star rating! James, also installed carbon monoxide detectors,, a complimentary service from the company! James also noted our very old hot water heater, which we will be replacing it soon. He gave us an estmate. I am writing this review for my mother, Jane Bradin. She just had Zac and Brand in her home to replace a sewer line. She was very happy with them and their work. They were polite, on time, very professional. When the drain from her tub fell out while they were fixing the sewer line, they gave her the option to just re install the old one or replace with a new one. They replaced it for her even though it would add time to an already long day. They cleaned everything up after themselves. She would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs a plumber.

I just took a hot shower. As mundane as some might consider this, it was a Thanksgiving Eve miracle to me. My hot water heater has been completely down since last Saturday (and on the fritz nearly a week before that). This heater is exactly one year old, but it has given me trouble for as long as I've had it and the contractor who installed it was not willing to take responsibility for its many problems. In desperation, I called Goodman Plumbing, remembering them from a job they did for me more than 10 years ago. I called on a Saturday afternoon and Zack was there early the next morning, working on a Sunday and going out of his way to accommodate my schedule. The part he needed to fix it wasn't available (it being Sunday), but he pushed hard to have someone come out again the next day, timing the appointment for when I would get out of work. That technician, Shane, was just as empathetic and kind and competent. After fixing the unit itself, he realized the gas pressure was low overall, in not only the water heater, but the furnace and the stove. He told me how to get in touch with PGW so someone could come out to fix it. He even called me the next day to make sure PGW had come out. The PGW supervisor was so impressed that Shane diagnosed the problem (or part of it; read on). Three teams of PGW folks and a new gas line later, my heater and stove were working better than ever, but even with renewed adequate gas pressure, the pilot on the water heater wouldn't work. I called Shane, who finished the job he was working on and at past 4 PM on the day before Thanksgiving, when he could have shrugged it off, came right to the house and pulled apart the fuel valve (gas valve?). He eventually saw the back half of it was faulty and he was able to replace it with a spare he had been keeping "just in case." He also installed a free CO2 detector. As far as I'm concerned, he is a plumbing Superman and I am forever in his debt. Because of him, not only can I enjoy the luxury of a hot shower, but I can do my dishes so that I can use them to finish cooking Thanksgiving dinner. Between Shane and Zack, it is obvious that Goodman Plumbing is the best contractor of its type in Philadelphia and they will have lifetime customers in myself and my extended family.

Called during game 4 of the NLCS and they sent Nick out on Sunday morning before game 5. Said. Seriously though, called because I needed an emergency plumber and they came highly recommended in a neighborhood group. I was not disappointed. I had come home from the hospital to find my ceiling sagging into my living room. Couldn't figure out where the leak was but Nick did! He replaced the guts on my running toilet and redid the wax ring that had been destroyed by the leak. I plan on calling these guys again for regular service. They were prompt, direct about what needed to be done, options and costs, and let me know the non urgent issue that also should get addressed.

This was the second time I used them. thinking I was doing something. I brought a toilet from another supplier, toilet and the parts. the toilet was too small lol . In talking to the plumber after calling me ,because I was going to cancel. they came out the next day with a new toilet installed it in no time. Taking the old out. I'll keep on using Goodman. Goodman Plumbing is my go to company for anything plumbing or hvac. This June they replaced the pipes, faucets, washer hookups and utility sinks, replaced the house shut off valve in the house, replaced the shut off valve out in the driveway, and replaced the water heater. *I did not choose good value because this company is SO good. I'd pay whatever I needed to in order to have them come do the work for me. Another amazing experience with Nick H. at Goodman Plumbing. Last time he came out, he finished the job he came for and then took time to help me figure out some wheelchair accessibility solutions for my kitchen sink. I only inquired if he had any ideas in passing and he actually sat down and thought about it. His suggestion worked like a charm and he seemed genuinely happy to help. This time around he was just as personable, friendly, professional knew exactly what to do to help me. I had only a vague idea from another company who said "get a plumber to do this". But it was not clear to me what "this" was. After giving vague description of my problem to Nick H, he knew exactly what to do. Roman and his son Roman worked very hard to find the source of the leak, which was concealed within our walls and repair it with minimal damage needing to be done to our walls. Goodman plumbing performed an expert inspection of my 20 hear old boiler and advised me on best course of action to address my heating system issue(s). They special ordered a boiler of my choice and scheduled my installation quickly and with courteous customer service. Roman appeared on time on the day of the install and explained how he would rework the copper piping with safety shutoffs and system features. The work was performed as explained with a full system test and explanation of long term maintenance. I am very satisfied with the service Roman and Goodman provided. Right before the quarantine really hit my electric water heater burned out. And everybody was acting funny about coming to people's house they came the next morning bright and early and got to work. Cool group of people nice and pleasant. Replaced my 30 gallon with a 40 gallon electric water heater and I had them replace my stack in the basement bathroom all in one day.

My hvac unit was not blowing air to the upper floors of my home so I called Goodman to come out and assess the problem. Pat T. showed up to my house and was very quickly able to find the issue. One of my terminal zones was bad so he move the wires to another zone which fixed the problem. Pat was very professional and explained the issue as well as showed me and also let me know what I will need to do if it happens again. Edit: Goodman called me immediately the next morning to address the issue and are sending someone new out to check for leaks or other issues. Updated from one star. We had Goodman come out to look at the not-working AC in our recently purchased home. Found out it was leaking Freon and were charged $700+ for a recharge. First, the two guys who came out would barley speak to me. I have no idea what they did to diagnosis the system or what they checked. Second, I asked TWICE, before the recharge and before paying them, if the system needed to be inspected for leaks because clearly, it’s leaking somewhere if we’re that short on Freon. Changing the relatively new filter isn’t going to stop it leaking, but thanks for trying to tell me that. Both times the guy outright denied needing to look for a leak, refused to do so or look for any other issues, and told me to call again if the AC went out and they’d do another recharge and THEN consider looking for a leak or other problems….yea I’m sure you would, given how expensive it is. Needless to say, three weeks later, we have no AC yet again and we’ve only run it once since Goodman came out. I bet we also no longer have Freon. Wonder why…. If you’re looking for AC repair, avoid this place at all cost. Now we get to find someone else to actually diagnosis and fix the AC. At least they actually showed up and we’re on time.

I don’t use a lot of pros, but Goodman answered on our first call early july, 4th saturday weekend. Was at our home less than 30 minutes later. Came in and got to work. Great price for water heater replacement. I would recommend!!!!!!!……. Some places hear your zip code and won’t even hear you out. I will definitely be calling again for more upgrade work to my home. I had used Goodman plumbing for other services in the past, including replacing our HVAC. Our water heater started going on and off. Unfortunately, our home had a water heater brand that Goodman Plumbing did not service, so I had to call another supposedly reputable company. They recommended replacing the two thermostats and the two heating elements for an amount that seemed awfully high. They then said to replace the whole system would cost $3k. I immediately called Goodman back, and Nick came out to evaluate the issue. As they've done in the past, they were detailed, responsive to my many questions, and direct in the price. Nick was able to get the water heater replaced for half the price quoted by the other company and that same day. It means a lot to have a company that I can trust. I guess every company has good and bad reviews, but I rarely write a review on Google or anywhere else. I had 2 problems, apparently not connected - a washer that kept filling up, & a kitchen sink where the water wouldn't go down. The gentlemen from Goodman Plumbing used the "snake" 5 times with 2 different machines to fix the washer & unclog the drain. I hired Goodman for the first time to fix a water spigot on my back patio that frozen and burst inside the wall. I cannot say enough good things about the experience. Nick from Goodman came out to do the initial consultation, and then to finish the work today. He was in an out quickly, did a fantastic job and ended up charging me less than initially quoted because he got the work done faster than anticipated. He also cleaned up after himself both times, spent a lot of time trying to find a fix that would make minimal impact on my walls, and made an obvious effort to be quiet while my wife and I worked from home during the repair. I have come to expect almost nothing from contractors in Philly after so many bad experiences with other companies, but I would recommend Nick and Goodman to anyone and plan to use them in the future if a need comes up.

This is a very long overdue review of Goodman Plumbing, whom I have had fix three separate plumbing issues in my house, a Philadelphia row home that was gut renovated prior to my moving in. While the house is generally great, it is clear the contractor cut corners with the plumbing which has caused multiple issues in different areas of the house. Roman (with his son more recently) has spearheaded all of the work done on my home. He is an incredibly talented plumbing professional who takes pride in his work. We have had our water and sewer main, improperly installed master shower thermostatic valve and poorly plumbed leaking outdoor hose spigot replaced by Roman and his colleagues at Goodman. Roman does a thorough diagnosis, gives a fair estimate and clearly does his best to minimize collateral damage that needs to happen to complete the repair. In the cases where that did need to happen (e.g. our master shower, which involved opening up the wall), Goodman works with trade professionals who do very high quality work. The person who replaced the tile did a phenomenal job, working to find the exact right shade of white (I couldn't tell the difference in the multiple options he brought, but he assured me if it wasn't right I'd notice when it was on the wall) and perfect match on the grout color. To figure out what was wrong with our Brizo thermostatic valve, Goodman sent us to Grove Supply in Fox Chase, where Rob, who knows his stuff, spent a lot of time helping us trouble shoot the issue and select replacement parts. Roman always explains what he is doing and the different options for repair, and has educated me along the way. He treats me and my house with respect, and most importantly, his work is of excellent quality. I will not call anyone else but Roman at Goodman for plumbing work!

Goodman plumbing people were working on a broken sewer line on my block. I asked Mike to help me find the source of the sewer leak in my house from an adjacent building, and he was very responsive and explained what needed to be done to identify the leak. They were helpful and professional over the phone and said they could be there quickly to take care of everything. Bill and Bill arrived when they said they would. They cut out the drywall neatly with straight edges (which made repairing and patching so much easier). This is a super efficient chain of command at this company. At 6:30am on the Sunday before Memorial Day l placed my first call to the Goodman receptionist. She referred my call to the plumber on duty and he called me back immediately and scheduled a service call between 8-12pm. Two men showed up promptly at 8am and began a thorough electrical inspection of my water heater. Upon repeated power checks they were able to determine that I had a faulty breaker on the house electrical panel and by jiggling it a bit power was restored to the heater. Couldn't ask for better service! Was in a bind where I needed to replace a very old hot water tank. Knew the day would come but was hoping to make it until the start of the new year. Gave a few companies a call and Goodman's was the only company that put me in touch with a plumber right away. After talking to a plumber over the pone and having an idea of what the problem was I had two serviceman at the door within the hour one named Stan and the other Jumani. For beginners these guys were very professional and what I valued most was the knowledge they brought to the job. They got the job done on time like they said they would, cleaned everything up afterwards, and we've basically had no problems since. It cost exactly the same amount as what they quoted which was a pretty reasonable price given that they had to dig a 10 foot long, 10 foot deep hole in our basement and clean out leaking sewage. So, yeah, getting a sewer line replaced really sucks, but these guys made it far less stressful.

We called Goodman when our basement starting flooding on Easter Sunday at 9PM. Despite shutting off the water to our house, it kept pouring in and we had no idea what was going on. Jim showed up in a mask first thing Monday morning, inspected all of our pipes, and determined that the issue was actually coming from our neighbor. When our neighbor insisted her basement was dry, Jim went next door, talked to her about our issue, and asked if he could inspect her crawl space... where he subsequently found a huge leak (that had flooded not only our basement but her other neighbor's, too). When we asked Jim how much we owed him for the visit he said, "There's no charge because there was no work to be done." We saw a Goodman truck on our block a few days later, there to fix our neighbor's pipes. These guys are consummate professionals and we'll certainly be using them for our plumbing needs from now on.

I have the highest recommendation for Roman and the team at Goodman. We hired Goodman to replace our hot water heater and they found out that the carbon monoxide exhaust pipe wasn't attached correctly in a difficult-to-reach crawl space under the kitchen. Instead of breaking through the kitchen floor or wall to access the exit pipe, Roman had the idea to either redirect the exhaust through another exit point, or get a hybrid electric heater which would only need an electric connection, not a pipe exhaust. We agreed to go with the electric, knowing that he may have to break through the drywall to access the electric panel. Roman was able to actually make the electrical connections without any damage to our walls at all!!!!! Very satisfied with the outcome. Roman and the team spent a lot of time at our place and they are nice people as well. Do not hesitate to use them!!

We had our sewer clog up and spill over our basement and back patio in the evening - as you can imagine, a nightmare. We called a "big name" company for emergency plumber service and they promised first thing in the morning to arrive within a 2 hour window. However, we received a call in the later part of the window from a dispatcher that they did not have a technician available and will call when one frees up. When I asked how long they guy said he didn't know and hung up on me. I then remembered Goodman Plumbing, who replaced a leaky pipe a few months ago, and gave them a call. They were immediately responsive and promised a technician to arrive within 2 hours, however, they arrived in less than 1 hour! Two technicians came out and resolved the clog within minutes. They were very kind and professional. I highly recommend over those big name companies who promise but cannot deliver.

Goodman Plumming. Where do I start? By unfortunate circumstances I regained control of a property that I co-owned . I entered the place and realized the place was a Plumming nightmare. First there was a major leak in the upstairs bathroom that destroyed the dinning room ceiling. I was panicked. I called Goodman and they fixed it. Next , the water heater went . Yeah they replaced that with minimal disruption to my life. I was worried about the vent out front so they dug it up and replaced the pipe. No problem. No worries. And before that I was panicking again Shortly after that a sprung a leak in the basement . The pipes were original, from 1957. Oh god , what a mess. Also, the heater was original too. You guessed it! That mess turned into a new State of the art Heater and all new water lines . I am 80% of the way to totally updated Plumming Now about Goodman’s people: Knowledgeable, professional, efficient, go the extra mile, will teach you a lot if you want to learn, which I obviously did. I called Goodman (and 4 other plumbing companies) to help with an emergency Toilet clog situation over July 4th weekend. The answering service answered, but someone (who’s clearly been a positive force there for a while and cares about doing the right thing, unfortunately didn’t catch his name) called back while another plumbing company was already onsite. I told the gentleman i already had someone, but he didn’t hang up or move on, he asked me about my situation and helped me steer the guy onsite in the right direction with his expertise. If it wasn’t for him, the onsite guy would’ve uninstalled my whole toilet and starting digging around there, but the gentleman who called knew it was the main line that was clogged. Originally hired Goodman’s to snake out our sewer lines and they found that our curb trap was broken They came out to assess our curb trap and gave us a quote. Really fast and efficient to complete the work. Showed us how bad our pipes were. Came to correct a tiny leak and sorted it all. They told us that if the dirt shifts during the 3-4week period you should wait before concreting to call them and they will come fill back in. Which they did within a couple of hours from calling them. They really do provide great service. Their quote was in the mid range of the several quotes we got. Would defiantly use them again for any plumbing needs.
