Alex was responsive and showed up soon after I called. We had lost heat overnight from a burnt out igniter in our forced air heating system and were freezing all day. It was 20 degrees all day and was going to be colder overnight. I called Alex and within 20 minutes he was at my door. He was honest and gave me tips for upkeep. Would absolutely use again and recommend anyone looking for HVAC help to do the same

After hours, I discovered my basement was beginning to flood with sewer water out of the pipe that serves the washer and dryer. I was afraid it was the main sewer line to street and imagined a horrific night ahead. I called NJ Affordable, and Alex was at my house in 30 minutes; through process of elimination, he figured out the clog was just inside the house and was able to find an entry point without cutting pipe unclogged it within half an hour with little mess or fuss. He then gave me advice for avoiding the problem in the future. His rate was reasonable, esp. for after-hours work, and when I tried to tip him, he waived the money away. Would definitely go to him again for any issue I had.

Alex was fantastic! He explained exactly what the problem was and wasn't for my existing tub faucet. The tub faucet was here prior to us moving in and was a cheap install and when the handle broke, other plumbers couldn't produce a solution without breaking my wall open. Alex was able to shop around for the products and when he couldn't find it, he repaired mine in his shop. He was absolutely excellent and I would 100% recommend him to anyone needing someone honest, professional, and affordable!

Called Alex to look at a leaky drain pipe this morning. He arrived quickly - roughly an hour after the initial call. He replaced the damaged drain pipe and explained the process while he worked. For days, my furnace wasn't able to make the temp setting on my thermostat. Alex came to my home during an ice storm to inspect it, and didn't take a minute more than he said he would to arrive. He took a thorough look and determined I was using the wrong air filter, which, although it was clean, was preventing efficient air flow. He also fixed my leaky humidifier. Through each step, he took the time to explain what he was doing and why. Look no further for a fair price, honest advice, and prompt service. Will definitely be using him for my next service call.

Alex is HVAC - Humorous. Venerable. Affordable. Competent. Alex fixed the HVAC unit for a price that was wickedly affordable (i.e., his price for service/parts was cheaper than even the lowest online prices, including prices for parts on Amazon!!!). Alex charges $0.00 for multiple visits for the same problem - I did not pay extra when Alex came to my place three times: first to diagnose the problem, then to fix it and, finally, to confirm it is working properly. Also took the time to explain what I should do for maintenance. Awesome experience. Highly recommended.

We replaced our old central air conditioning system approximately 12-1/2 years ago with a new Bryant Puron, and was maintained by the Bloomfield company that installed it. We are generally satisfy with their technicians' works and services, but the one that came last Spring did a quick inspection and told me that the coils leaked and the drain tray cracked. In fact, the cost was so high that he suggested we replace the entire system, which cost a lot more than I was prepare to. As much as I trust the company that installed it, I no longer trust their technicians, hence, I called for a second opinion, and Alex at NJ Affordable HVAC Plumbing came on the same day. Alex thoroughly checked the system and told me that the system was fine, no evidence of leaks in the coils and the drain tray not cracked. He also didn't charge us for the visit. In his words, "I didn't do anything so no charge". This past year, Alex and I developed an "email" relationship since I'm hearing impaired and written communication seem to work best for me. Through our email exchanges, he recommended an excellent contractor who had done some works for us few weeks ago at a reasonable price. This morning, Alex came because we have been experiencing pressure with our kitchen faucet. It sputters when lift to turn on and then water spilled over the connector and all over the counter. Alex looked around and find the connecting part has a part that was clotted. Once it was removed, no more sputter and no more spill. Alex also recommended a connector for the faucet to save water. He told us to go to Home Depot to buy one to easily install it ourselves because if he install it, it would cost us a lot more. Now, how honest can one gets!!! On top of honest, Alex is knowledgeable, skillful, thoughtful and a terrific person. Again, we want to thank Alex, for being there for us.

After another plumber gave me an estimate upwards of $1200 for a fix to a tiny leak from a toilet, and was bullying to boot, I called NJ Affordable based on a town message board recommendation for a second estimate. I'm so glad I did. Alex came on very short notice, advised the leak was not the result of a broken pipe requiring a costly repair (as the first plumber had advised) but merely an old feeder hose to the toilet tank that was leaking. Total cost to fix, including parts and labor: less than a third of the first estimate. Alex is honest, knowledgeable, and courteous, a complete pleasure to work with. He was even sweet to the family cat. Highly recommend.

When you walk into your basement and get a strong smell of sewage, well you know there's a problem. I called NJ Affordable 8am on a Saturday morning and Abe was dispatched to fix the problem and here by 8:45. Now, Abe could have told me anything (what do i know) but i felt he was very honest and took the least expensive route to correct the problem. He even went above and beyond and showed me how to check the trap in sewer line and determine if the problem was inside or in the main line out to the street (which would have been much more expensive to fix) Also suggested that i perform that check periodically to look for build up which will eventually cause a back-up and how to shop vac it out prior to it becoming a major problem. Had he told me it was the main line, quite honestly I'd not have known the difference and would have paid a lot more than i did this morning. Thank you you guys rock
