I called Citywide today at about noon to clear a clogged kitchen sink at my elderly mother’s house. I received a call a little later to say a service person would arrive by 1:00 pm. Tim, the service rep, arrived right on time. He identified himself, had a mask on (big plus!), and immediately got to work covering the floor and getting his supplies together. He began by using an electric snaking machine to clear the line. He continued to snake the line but the blockage prevented the line from going through. As a result, black water splashed into the kitchen. Tim thoroughly cleaned up everywhere there were splatters. After a good while, he thought the blockage was due to scaling deep within the pipes, so he had to go into the crawl space under the house to check it out. He tried to clear it, but it soon became apparent the blockage needed to be cleared from under the house, and a second person was called in to assist Tim. Kelvin arrived shortly after, and the two men worked for hours. They had to replace part of the pipeline in order to clear it properly. I cannot say enough good things about Tim. He was courteous, professional, kept me informed as to what was happening, and tried to avoid having to replace pipes to help keep the costs down. He was on the job for over 3 hours, and although it was very difficult work to clear the lines, was just satisfied that he was able to get the job done. On top of it all, the price was reasonable, considering the amount of time and energy that was necessary. I would definitely call Citywide again, and would specifically ask for Tim! Great job all around!

Our sewer was backed up the other night around 8:30pm. I called citywide and they stated they would send someone when they had an opening. About 45 minutes later, they called me back and had someone on their way. The rep, Ricky, arrived and was amazing. He was efficient and super helpful and got everything fixed. I was really impressed with his professionalism. Then, today, they call to make sure everything is still good! Amazing work!

This is the best plumbing company I have ever used. This team stands behind their work. They are professionals and take care of their customers. They also train and promote within. Four years ago when we installed the new sewer right after purchasing our home Patrick was the laborer. He came out today and he was running the job. I am so grateful for Citywide. On a Wednesday, I noticed my laundry room toilet did not flush. I called my plumber who was going to come on Thursday, then, Friday, but didn’t. He did say I could do laundry. When I went downstairs to put the laundry in the dryer, I was met with a brown flood in the bathroom, the shower, the laundry room, and even the garage. It was disgusting. I called my plumber again to see what to do and he recommended I call Citywide Sewer and Plumbing in Carle Place. I called, explained the situation, and they said someone would be here within an hour. Angelo showed up ready to work. He went into the crawlspace and determined the clog was due to a buildup of soap scum from the washing machine and the dishwasher. Who knew??? He advised me to put 2 cups of white vinegar down my kitchen drain every two weeks to prevent this from happening again. He then proceeded to clear the clog, clear the drain and mop up the mess. Angelo was wonderful. He was pleasant. Thorough, and I was completely confident in his ability to fix the problem. He was here for maybe an hour and a half. This was an emergency appointment on a Friday afternoon, and what he charged was much less than I thought I would pay. of course I then had to mop everything with Clorox. But the problem was fixed. Thanks Angelo! I would absolutely recommend. Citywide Plumbing highly and they will be my go to plumber from now on!

DO IT right ?

Today is Sunday 911 - 2022 and at 7am in the morning my bathroom in the basement was slow/ and finally stopped flushing ( going down)— Prior I did some online research and ALL the experts claimed that my symptoms ( gurgling in basement- when the upstairs is flushed) is indicative of a clogged VENT— i went on the roof dropped a flashlight in vent stack — nothing there!! I went to home depot — got one of the curved toilet snake — no improvement!! Today I called these guys ( I think it was Mike)— at 7am!! By 8am — On a SUNDAY!!!! BRIAN showed up — an enthusiastic and a professional in all respect — I explained the “ vent stack” hypothesis — I can tell that he was not convinced, but regardless he went on the roof — and immediately ruled that out . Brian went to the toilet saw the gurgling and immediately said it was a main line blockage-/ he removed the street trap and ran the snake through — twice — sewage came into the trap area — it did NOT recede!! The snake was problematic — apparently— binding up - not working properly Brian was annoyed but undeterred, he continued looking to SOLVE the problem — finally he excused Himself and came back 10 mins later and claimed the city SEWER is backed up!!! I called 311 immediately— its now about 10am Brian then installed a new sewer plug UNDER THE SEWAGE water — an amazing effort!! And begin vacuuming the sewage and taking it bucket by bucket to the sewer — at least 4 buckets — NOT THE storm drain — no DEC violation!!! At this point My problem was not solved — yet And Brian bill was $197.!!!! ( this company offers coupons on its site) As Brian was about to leave DEP arrived and he explained the problem to them in detail— within 30 minutes the issue was resolved — Brian came back into the house to verify.All is good Brian is a consummate professional and his dedication to his craft is nothing less than awe inspiring.. If all Citywide sewer and drain personnel are as dedicated like Brian — this is the company to call for All your sewer and drain issues!! Thank you citywide — thank you Brian Just to clarify— please Don’t think ,for a second , that i enjoy paying $200-for work that didn’t have a direct result in the resolution of the issue— I would be so much more impressed if both manholes were checked PRIOR to the commencement of the work!! This should not diminish the sterling efforts of Brian.

I'm an out of state landlord and had Derek come out today to my property. He went above and beyond he also kept me informed about everything and my options. Alex is the best. He is a professional who knows his business. A lot of work was necessary. For one the P-trap was crumbling and had a hole in it. It was replaced along with another pipe. We had a major clog in the elbow area of the pipes going out to street. After a mini flood in the basement we called our plumber friend to see if he could help us, he was not available so he recommended us to CityWide. They were amazing. They were at out house in 30 minutes Dan was so knowledgeable of what was happening and had it cleared out in no time. Can’t thank city wide enough. Emergency price was more than fare. I unfortunately had a pipe burst Christmas Eve day. I called and was entered into there system. It took a while for the tech to come since it was Christmas Eve day. A man named Cardonel came and was pleasant, friendly and professional and fixed my leak. I needed them to come back the Monday after Christmas to fix my shower faucet. Again I called citywide and Jose came and again was pleasant, friendly and professional. I felt that I was in good hands for both issues.

From the moment I called and we did the intake the whole process was nice and easy - The prices I got on the phone were honored and Gary was VERY Professional. We had a clog in a sink that we don't use often. It was clogged up for a long time, probably months. I tried to clear it using a snake but couldn't accomplish anything. I called several plumbers who told me that they don't do clogged drains. I was afraid to call a big drain clearing company because I had heard some negative things. One of the plumbers recommended Citywide and I took a chance. Daniel came on time, was very professional and worked his butt off to clear this clog. It took him several attempts, and he finally got through the clog on his third try with an industrial sized attachment on the snake. He cleaned up everything nicely and I can't say enough about the service. I would definitely use them again (and I will definitely ask for Daniel).

NYC DEP requested that we had a camera inspect our sanitary line after we experienced a significant backup during a small rainstorm. Price included video recordings and education on what was going on with our pipe. Found a pitch issue but not enough to condemn our pipe yet. Did locate a separate blockage not in the street line and the gentleman helped clewr that quickly. Easy payment system, professional crew, helped educate us as homeowners and we are return customers every few years when something new develops at our 82 year old home.

Had an UNGODLY clog in my tub I tried snaking it multiple times but the old girl was a fighter and would not evict herself from my tub. After Hours of fighting and many sad attempts to real her in but realizing at 10 pm she was determined to emasculate me I Relented and called. Called them to have my plumbing lines inspected/tested because I’m worried sewer gasses are getting inside my house. Spoke with Marty who seemed to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful. However there seemed to be an emergency at the time and we ended the call. Later I got a call from Dan Gardner, his boss apologizing for the fact Marty had to go. Dan and his two mechanics (I believe anwar was one of them) came to my house and did an amazing job inspecting every aspect of my plumbing. I couldn’t be happier with the services I received. They ensured all the piping between my house and cesspool as well as all my vents worked as intended. That nothing was clogged and cleaned all that seemed like it needed cleaning (house trap, sink drain line and ptrap). Not only that but Dan is very knowledgeable not only in the plumbing department but in the whole construction aspect. They come when you need them. They used to be reasonable on price. I called them to install 2 new faucets I purchased, one each in bathroom and kitchen. Charge over $500 dollars. Plumber now sets price. Negotiate.

Many thanks to Citywide. My elderly parents, one who is bed bound had a sewer back up. I called them at 10:46 pm. Received a call at 11:20pm they were on there way. The plumber just finished a job right by his house in kew gardens and came to Nassau county to help my parents out. Alex “Mak” - I have his full last name and I may add it later I can - Was on time, professional, and extraordinarily knowledgeable about my circumstances, which turned out to be a backed up mainline do to root growth into the pipe. I am older, handicapped, and alone, which contributed to my anxiety over whether or not this could be easily fixed. It probably wasn’t easily, but Max worked hard for around 2 hours and got the job done! He also has a very pleasing and reassuring personality which I deeply appreciated. After having three different contractors come to look at my collapsed old cesspool. Sales manager Tyrone Hardy, had a common sense approach and in my opinion was the most honest when surveying what I needed. This was the reason I choose Citywide and I definitely made the right choice. The crew was also extremely professional and fixed a huge sinkhole caused by an old underground cesspool and replaced 20 feet of pipe. I will definitely use City wide again and highly recommend them.

Citywide cleared my main line sewer drain. The 2-hour scheduling window the office provided was not met and I had to call again, but the service tech was great! The technician Woj was thorough, courteous and professional. He also covered working areas with drop cloths to keep things clean.

Harry and his crew diagnosed and fixed a break in our main sewer line efficiently and professionally. They were skilled, speedy, neat, and courteous; Harry was patient and knowledgeable, answered our questions respectfully, explained the procedures they would be doing clearly, and kept in good communication with us about when they would show up, how long it would take, etc. I can't judge the price very well as, thankfully, this is the only time we've needed this kind of repair, but their price was significantly cheaper than one other estimate we got. City Wide comes quickly day or night. I was disappointed, however that they charge a service fee just to come tell me that my cesspool is full, then they do not come until the next day to drain it. Of course, I am charged for 2 service calls. Then, when it was determined that my pipe to the cesspool had a clog (which turned out to be 2 clogs), they had to send ANOTHER truck to perform that service. Not exactly one stop shopping! The service men are always so friendly and explain everything. I find their prices are a little high, but when you can’t use your bathroom, I am willing to pay to get it fixed ASAP. Overall, a good company. I would deduct a star if their servicemen weren’t so personable. Jose is the BEST!

Called early in the morning, had a clog backing up sewage into the slop sink downstairs. They scheduled a plumber to come within 2 hours. Plumber Frank arrived in about 1 1/2 hours. Gloved and masked(the machine was "gloved and masked" also). Frank came in, found the problem, and had us going again in about 20 minutes. I decided to use Citywide based on the reviews here on Google and was not disappointed. We had a leaking kitchen drain pipe for the longest time and it just got to a point where we were emptying the bucket after every use vs once per week. Additionally we had slow drain rate so I asked them to snake the drain for me. Citywide was able to send Sergio over and He fixed it by replacing the strainer, gaskets section only. He didn't think we needed the drain unclogged and was confident this fix would also fix the slow drain rate and it did! I had to find an emergency plumber at 1AM. The floor was soaked, the water was shut off for the whole house and they got someone to come. Joaquin if you read this, THANK YOU SO MUCH. He could not have been more professional even though he was probably exhausted. He helped get the dishwater out of the way and at the very least diagnose the issue. Enough so we had cold water and the leak stopped. The tech was understanding enough to adjust the cost of the emergency call because he couldn't really resolve the issue. He had to put my ticket into their internal queue for another tech to handle. He didn't have the tools or skill set to go jack hammering into my foundation. Citywide was nice enough to send out techs the next day and come repair. Again, Anuar, you are amazing. Thank you so much for your help. The second tech came on site and surprisingly did everything in his capabilities to not mess up my kitchen. He and his co-worker had to jack hammer in a very small space, but still managed to find the problem and repair it. The cost was up there, I will not lie, but citywide made the whole process so painless and they were willing to work with me on payment. I can't begin to describe the relief I got when they were so understanding. City wide will be a permanent phone number in my pocket when I need help going forward. This was a really rough and difficult time for my family and house, but citywide made so much of it a no brainer. Seriously, if you need help, call, they are amazing.

Frank came this morning to unclog a main drain pipe and trap. He was a bit late because he was held up at another job, but he was worth the wait. He diagnosed the problem immediately and fixed it. What impressed me most was his concern about keeping my home clean. He put a tarp under the machine, he wraps the wheels of the machine in plastic so they don't dirty the floor, he cleaned and removed the debris that he took out of the trap, and he wiped the floor before he left. I don't remember seeing that in the past. He gets five stars plus for his work. And throughout he was so nice and pleasant. Thank you Frank. Cannot begin to tell you how amazing they are. We had a leak from out watermark. It was so bad that it not only started flooding our house the water started traveling underground and started going through the retaining wall of our neighbors property and starting accumulating in their driveway (later we found out we lost ~100K gallons of water). This happened during the time of the bad rainstorms so It took us some time to realize that the water problem was the result of the leak and not the storms. I called citywide on a Wed night they took a message right away. 730 am on Thurs their agent calls me back and by 8am they were at my house. The assessed the problem. They literally moved around jobs for me so that they could accommodate my job right away. By 830 they had come to my house with their huge truck and yellow bobcat machine. They dug a huge hole 5 feet into the ground. They found the tiniest leak that was maybe 3mm big. They fixed it and cleaned up so well you couldn’t even tell they were there. Citywide literally came a team of two people and took half a day at least to fix the problem. They were a little pricey but they were upfront and honest with their pricing. Did not even try to charge me a cent more which I respect so much. I had called other companies and they did not even give heed to the urgency of my problem. They said : we can try to send someone to evaluate today. So my hats off to citywide for saving me!

Got service on a Sunday (Memorial weekend) and there was no extra charge. Manuel, the tech, worked hard to find the cesspool, as I didn't know where it was. Built us a new cap and concealed it so it wasn't a tripping hazard for my kids. Prices reasonable and the office was very responsive about giving updates on Manuel's ETA. Cardonel did a fantastic job clearing a stubborn clog that had been completely stuck for months in the corroded galvanized steel pipe in the basement, replace the whole pipe, replaced a leaking valve, replaced the corroded pipes under the sink and installed hot and cold water valves. I had a problem with the plumbing system in my basement which kept flooding throughout the years. I called different companies but the issue kept reoccurring. I finally called Citywide and they sent me an excellent plumber named Sherwin who diagnosed the problem immediately. He took his time to tell me everything that I needed to know about the issue- which happened to be a bad connection with my washing machine that was causing a backup and flooding the basement. He set me up with the company in order for me to get the work done. He came back weeks later to fix the problem. He was very knowledgeable and very professional. Opinion: They come very fast but they are expensive. I needed a washer replacement for my shower's hot water faucet, and I decided to try Citywide for the first time. I called at 8:30 in the morning, and a person was at my door 30 minutes later. They charge $250 to change a washer which normally takes about 15 minutes to replace. It was the same price to change one washer or two washers, so the man replaced the cold water faucet washer the same time. It was a very small job, so I am not able to comment on their workmanship.

The issue we had was due to some work being done in the house before we moved into the house. Apparently some of the workers were washing their tools off of the grout and paint that caused a backup in the pipes going to the main sewer line. I have used Citywide for well over a decade. I have called for cesspool line blockages, filled drywells, many issues of a plumbing nature and they have responded quickly. Once I called for a friend who was having a party at her home and the cesspool had filled. They were there within the hour. However, this past call took three phone calls over four days to get someone to come out to pump my drywell. That had never happened before. I started to panic as it was Christmas Eve, I needed to run the dishwasher, take a shower, etc and the drywell was essential to these tasks. Wow, can’t say enough about these guys. From Marty in dispatch who scheduled my job in record time, to the site crew (Manny and Rudy) that trenched and replaced 10 ft of main sewer line in front of my house. I asked that they try not break the sidewalk, try to spare my sprinkler lines, and not damage the Belgian block that was in the middle of the trench line. The backhoe operator (Rudy) was like a surgeon. Even rolled up the grass with the backhoe blades so they could replace the grass once they backfilled the trench. VERY impressed by their care and quality. Oh, and my sewer works again too lol! Highly recommended.

However, he did try to fix the old one first, which certainly showed more initiative than I'd expected. Unfortunately, we all came to the conclusion that the toilet did need to be replaced, which he then did promptly and professionally. Evens was smart, considerate, personable, and efficient. He made sure the new toilet was working properly and we were delighted when we saw he had left the bathroom floor sparkling clean. Can I give 10 stars?? Had an emergency at my elderly father's home on the South Shore. Who to call.?? Especially on a Sunday?? City Wide of course!! Made the call around 11 am and they said they would be there between 1 and 3...guess what, I get a call from Mike about 12:30, and he said that the tech was on the way, 10 minutes later Robert calls and states that he is there! WoW!! About 30 minutes later, the job is done and everybody is super happy and gramps is all calmed down! No hidden fees, no extra fees for a Sunday. First guy was real lazy and indifferent and couldn't find a portal to pump. Had to pay a hefty fee for nothing done. Ten mins later I find what I think is a portal and they send another guy back. This man worked hard to help me find and understand the system but unfortunately later find out he was also incorrect. I later discovered I have 2 active separate systems that confused everyone. Oh well. Live and Learn. I am sure they do a good job removing waste. I just wouldn't trust the expertise of Individual techs who just wanna pump and run.

The Good: They will fix the problem. If a pipe is leaking or facet needs to be replaced, they will fix it. The Bad: You will be left with other damage. They fixed a leaking pipe in my ceiling. However, they had to rip through the ceiling to get to the pipe and left me with a big hole. I also had to clean up the sheetrock and mess left behind. I now have other plumbing work that needs to be done in my bathroom, and I trust that they can fix it, but scared to be left with hundreds of dollars in other damage.

I reside in Woodside, NY. Had no access to hot water for over 8 days. Rheem (water heater company ) sent 3 technicians and took over a week without solving the problem. With frustration, I decided to google and call CityWide plumbing and it turned out to be a great decision. Mike and Devaugn fixed the issue in less than one day. Most importantly, with relief all my family members now have access to warm/hot water. Highly recommend Mike and Devaugn.
