Called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing this morning for water issue and they had someone come out in the afternoon. Tyler our service tech thoroughly inspected the water heater and we came to the conclusion, based on the age of water heater, that it would be best to have it replaced. I was able to get an appointment very quickly (on a Saturday). The office was very good about letting me know when my technician would arrive. We were able to move my appointment up a couple hours. Colton was very professional and great at explaining my options.

The technician was right on time and very nice. He explained in detail to me what the service would require and how much the first visit would be. The initial problem came back through no fault of the technician and the follow-up visit was at no charge. They do however have to install another new part but hey, the toilet is at least 10+ years old and parts do wear out. My only complaint is that I still use a landline phone as my major number and of course you can't text to it and I've asked them repeatedly to simply call the number to let me know when the tech is on the way but I guess it's an automated text system and they can't seem to call me. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for plumbing help in the Franklin area.

I called Benjamin Franklin yesterday with a frozen pipe leak repair and they came out first thing this morning. Zachary called me several times during the repair to discus what he found and the cause and cost of the repair. He was very patient and professional. I’m so relieved to have this water leakage issue resolved. Zach explained that what he used for repair should go a long way in preventing this from happening again.

I don't feel I was given the opportunity to make an informed decision. I have used this company multiple times over the past several years and have had great experiences until this one. 1. When I called on a Saturday about a water heater failure, they intended to someone out to look at it same day. When I mentioned the location of the water heater, they had to delay until Monday as it was a two person job. When the tech arrived on Monday, he had no intention of performing any work, but only to quote the job. 2. I made a decision based on the information I was given on Monday, which was not entirely true. When the crew showed up on Tuesday they could not accommodate my requests. We ended up losing storage space in the garage rather than gaining space. This was the last thing I wanted as storage space is limited. I'm not sure I would have made the same decision if I would have been given accurate information. After service was performed, the survey only allowed me to select facial expressions to define my experience with no option to comment. They also put the onus on me to call them to let them know how they did or leave a Google review.

From start to finish, this company was very professional in helping us deal with a water heater leak. We told them on the phone we weren't sure if it could be repaired or if we would need a new one. They got us an appointment the next day, even called when they realized they had an earlier availability the day of, and sent us quotes for every possible outcome. About 5 years ago this company installed a new sewer line from the house piping to the city main. They also installed a new water line from the house to the meter. They put in a cleanout pipe too by my house. These guys are SO Professional and don't mind how many questions you ask. Last week I called because the cleanout they installed 5 years ago was flooding. (If I had not had the cleanout, it probably would have been a disaster in my house/crawlspace). They came the next day and diagnosed the problem. Where the pipe was connected at the street had settled and formed a lip that was collecting debris and that was where my clog was. They told me that the following Tuesday someone would come out and fix the pipe connection AT NO COST TO ME BECAUSE IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY.... !!!! Amazing!!!! Someone honest who actually follows through and takes care of customers!!! Needless to say I was extremely happy I had used them when I bought this house and they STAND BY THEIR COMMITTMENTS. They are honest and very kind. Most places would have charged for labor on the fix..... NOT THESE GUYS!! Also want to thank the man that was with COLTON. My technician actually showed up a few minutes early (after they called and approved that that would be okay). Caleb was very nice and thorough- my hot water heater was 17 years old, so he went through the options of either fixing it or replacing it and explaining both options thoroughly. I chose to replace it and actually had a less common type that he didn’t have on his truck, so he called and had that type delivered so they could replace it quickly. The whole process of appointment and installation took about 2.5 hours. Overall, I’m impressed and would gladly use them again and recommend them.

Called Ben Franklin about a shower leak and scheduled an appointment. Quentin was my technician and was fantastic. He arrived right on time and wore his PPE as a Covid precaution. I showed him the leak and he went over the costs for the repair. Everything sounded good and he got right to work and fixed the shower as promised. After he left, I noticed a really slow drip and grew a bit concerned, so I called the office to see if he could come right back to ensure it was fixed properly. Fortunately, he wasn’t too far by this point and made it back quickly to check on the drip. Turns out there was some residual water left in the pipe that slowly made its way out. Quentin was patient and explained that’s normal and waited a few more minutes just to make sure there wasn’t a slow leak. His repair was perfect... I guess I was just a bit paranoid. I apologized for asking him to come back and he told me not to worry about it and he was glad to do it, just to make sure the job was done right. Excellent service!! Will definitely be calling them again in the future!!

So many great things to say. I called and they had someone just finishing up a job somewhere and sent them here right away. From the time of my call to their arrival was less then 2 hours! I know that's not always the case so I was pretty happy about that. John (the tech) was extremely professional. John literally went above and beyond the entire time!! Long story short, he wound up having to replace the heat exchanger in our tankless water heater. He was on the phone with the company and it was still under Warrenty and they shipped a new one out (from California) overnight to the Benjamin Franklin shop. As soon as it showed up at their shop the next day they sent John back over here right away. The problem was fixed quick and everything is perfect now! I also really loved that John called me back a number of times in between the 2 days just keeping me in the loop if it it had "been shipped out yet" or had "shown up to the shop yet." That's amazing! I was never in the dark of what was going on. Bottom line, I'll never call anyone else for plumbing services!! I would recommend Ben Franklin Plumbing to anybody. If you've got all day to call around, you might find someone cheaper. Had a clog in our main line, called and they were able to get to the house that evening. Technician was kind and professional, and identified our problem as a “soft clog.” He was only able to clear 1/3 of the line, which cost about $500 and it does not have any warranty (warranty is apparently standard if they clear the clog). He tried to upsell me on a jetting service for another $900 to clear the rest. He said without jetting there was nothing more to do and said to call the city and see if they would clear it. The city said the clog was clearly on the private side of the line so it is my responsibility. I’m no plumbing expert, but I was disappointed to pay $500 for someone without proper tooling to clear the clog. In the past, other plumbing services I’ve used at other houses have had cutting heads to use to clear pipes, but that was apparently not an option here. There may well be a good reason for that, but it was certainly frustrating to pay that money and not have a real solution.

We have used Benjamin Franklin Plumbing for several years and have always received excellent service. This time they installed a Rinnai tankless water heater with a loop for instant hot water. We’ve used them for smaller jobs too, and have always been pleased. The first time we used them was for a, near midnight, emergency call. Our water heater, under the house, had ruptured and we could hear water spewing. They were on it! When we could have been taken advantage of, the pricing was reasonable. From this, we knew they could be trusted.

I knew from the time I called them that this was going to be a smooth process. Very pleasant over the phone and set up my appointment quick. Daniel, my service pro, arrived within the 2 hour time frame they gave me. He was very knowledgable and patient with me. I kinda figured before I called them I would need my hot water tank replaced so I had some questions for Dan when he told me it would need replaced. I wasn't sure if I wanted to get a tank less or the standard hot water tank. Dan went through all the pricing and options for both. After getting a quote of $5100 for a tank less I decided to go with a high end tank with a 12 year warranty. There were some extra charges but he explained them along the way . In addition I also asked if he could check some other things while he was there and he had no problem taking care of those as well. He was not rushed and cleaned everything up when he was done. He then showed me how to use it and also offered a $7.95 monthly service package which I gladly accepted knowing I would make my money back with the annual service. I have previously used Mr water heater which did a fine job but after using Ben Franklin Plumbing I won't go anywhere else. They are priced slightly higher but do the job right and make sure you know what you are paying for. Thank you Daniel!

I called Benjamin Franklin hoping to get an appointment in the next week or so but they were actually able to come out same day. My service pro, Daniel, showed up about 40 minutes after I had first called. He explained how they operate, their pricing structure and told me about the Club offering which gets you a discount, a yearly water heater inspection and moves you to the front of the line for emergencies, so I signed up. The fix for my garbage disposal ended up being quick and easy. I don't know why I had been putting it off for so long. The ladies in the office whom I spoke with were also super helpful. They went beyond the call by storing my water filter system at their location for 15 days free of charge while I moved. They reinstalled at my new location just as they promised. Both times they had to send out a special lift truck to load and unload it. No extra charge. They did it because they care about their customers and try to help any way they can.
