Devin was very professional and knowledgeable. He could not completely fix the problem due to the blockage but made sure that I had someone coming back to unblock drains. He explained what he did and why he could not completely unblock. Chris came out the next day with equipment to unplug my basement washtub drain. He had another coworker with him as it was a 2 man job. They did get the drains cleaned but when I went downstairs after they left, found they had used some of my tools, hanging on pegboard by my workbench and just laid them on the bench, rather than put them where they got them. I do have several expensive tools. They also, left the water to my washer on. I explained that I always turn off the water going to washer to prevent burst hoses. They were both very pleasant and professional, but for the tools not being put back and water being left on.

Tyler is 1 of the most considerate, respectful, hard working service person that I have ever had work in my house. (And I've had MANY throughout the years.) My plumbing ended up having MANY complications. He took each one in stride and worked hard to solve them all without adding more expense, which I so appreciated. His dedication to doing the job RIGHT was a breath of fresh air. He also was so careful in my house and cleaned up everything. It was a TOUGH job and he stuck in there. I would have been exasperated. I am very impressed with Tyler and will request him if (but hopefully there won't be any more issues, though!) I have other plumbing problems. Again, so refreshing to run into such a considerate, hard working, respectful person.

Devin is very personable, knowledgeable, and did a great job assessing my main sewer line's condition and explaining my options: 1) 'scouring' the drain to remove roots every year or two going forward...or 2) 'scouring' and re-lining the main with a nylon/epoxy blend that, once cured, would be a new one-section pipe warrantied to be free of root intrusion for decades to come! He gave me an estimate, and explained the various financing options. Not sure which company to use, but Devin gave me a VERY favorable impression of One-hour Rooter!!

Devin was dispatched to our house to investgate a floor drain backup and possible main drain blockage. He arrived within an hour of our call for service, quickly identified and cleared a main drain block and scoped the drain to confirm no damage. He was very careful handling equipment in the house and wore shoe coverings to keep our carpet ckean. Devin reminded us that there would be no service charge becsuse One Hour had previously installed a drain liner which was still under warranty. One Hour and its' service technicians are the best we've ever worked with -- we will call them for all of our plumbing drain needs.

They tried but did not fix the problem. The first tech (more like a salesman) before the contract didn't know what he's doing or where to look...say the problem is pipe plug and jetting it out will take care it. When the working tech came he tried to fix by jetting it but didn't work. He said the problem is my septic is full. I had to call a septic service and he said the opposite. It end up being the pump. Took him 15 minutes to diagnoses and fix. Rooter said they will fully refund my prepaid $1500-trip charge...which is yet remain to be seen. Update: Owner called and we discussed what went wrong...just need more training on specific tasks. My money was return in full. Thank you for taking care of your customers Justin!

UPDATE 6/27/22: They now have a Sewer Program with City of St Paul, where you can skip GreenSky financing (awful!), and have their services added to your semi-annual tax bill at 2.5% or thereabouts. Very pleased with this development! Devin was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. He helped assess what my choices were, and advocated for a permanent fix to my plumbing problem (more costly, but guaranteed for life). The tablet he used was large and easy to read, and we set up financing on the spot. When we had some unexpected water leaking from a temp fix, he addressed right away, coming back into the house. 10/10.

Sean came out to assess my slow floor drain and gave me a couple of solutions with pricing. He was very friendly, punctual and professional. I chose to go with the hydrojet service, it's a bit more expensive than a manual snake service but the drain will remain clear for a long time. Darrell came out about 20 minutes later and performed the hydrojet service. He was able to successfully clear out the drain and did a thorough job. He cleared out the entire line all the way to my septic tank and actually ended up getting his hydrojet line caught in the tank entrance. We were able to get it untangled and he pulled it back in, he checked once more to be sure the drain line was fully cleaned out. Overall, One Hour Rooter did a good job despite getting a little tangled up in my septic tank.

Day 1: preliminary review of work in progress. We contacted One Hour Rooter indirectly as a result of calling to MSP Plumbing with whom we have worked well in the past. On this call, they informed us that they now partner with One Hour Rooter on clogs. Sean came within the advertised window. He was very personable, seemed knowledgeable, and gave a reasonable assessment of the issue, though there was a bit of an up-sell on services, and an upfront request for a review in exchange for a small discount seemed a bit odd. He was upfront about what was and was not possible given the time of day. Anyway, he was willing to try a low tech approach to the problem first and showed reasonable evidence of why something more drastic like jetting might be required. He left the work area quite clean. I will add that I am uncertain of the communication between MSP and One Hour. MSP promised same day service - One Hour was less certain in the dispatch call. It all worked out, but I sensed a little misalignment in the communication. Day 2 Follow up: the crew arrived in the promised four hour window. The were quick, courteous, and asked for a review of the issue so nothing was lost between visits. They left the work area reasonably clean. A couple of small quibbles: there was no call ahead, so we weren’t completely ready for them. They also came directly to the side door, which on the one hand was good because that’s where we would have directed them, but on the other hand, increased the possibility of us missing their arrival. When all was done, the clog was cleared properly.

Originally called them in July for a blocked drain ("any drain anytime 99") says the website. I ended up being sold a $1,700 hydro jet cleaning that came with a warranty. Since July I've needed to call them 2 additional times. On my latest go round I called One Hour rooter with inches of water in my basement. I was offered an appointment 48 hours later. I talked my way to an appointment only 1 day later (so the one hour in your name? Total BS) my appointment windows comes and goes and I don't hear anything. After calling back in I learn that no one would be available until after 2pm. My family can't flush their toilet. My wife has to shower at the community center. This service is unacceptable. The price seems great at first, but it's not worth it in the long run. Call a company values your time. Edit: I have changed my review from 1 to 4 stars. I did receive service on Sunday evening. Both the Manager and the Tech (Ray and Bailey) were professional and courteous. They honored my warranty, and even offered to 'refund' my warranty towards a larger service that my home will eventually need. I would do business with them again, but ultimately, the service did take too long to warrant 5 starts.

I had an up and down experience with One Hour Rooter and ultimately I am satisfied with their service. For a complete recap, keep reading. I originally contacted One Hour Rooter to get a quote on their sewer liner service. I had a sizable offset in my sewer pipe and needed to have it addressed to hopefully prevent future issues. The technician met with me at my home the same day that I called. He scoped the sewer line and immediately gave me a hard sell on why I should hire them immediately (roots in the line, cracks, etc). I should have taken a step back and asked for some time to mull it over, but I also wanted to get the issue addressed immediately. Their estimate was also only slightly more for the entire line than an excavation quote I had gotten earlier for just the offset. Ultimately, I agreed to the service and a date was set for them to come back to complete work in two weeks. I wasn't around when they finished and wasn't able to inspect the finished product. I called the company and they very kindly sent the original technician out to scope the line for me to see what they had done. Unfortunately, the crew had not completed the contracted job and had only lined a portion of the pipe and did not address the offset pipe. I was told that they would contact me later with a second set of dates to come back and complete the original job. I kept getting delayed answers on the second set of dates, but finally they scheduled a time to come back and finish the job (almost seven weeks after the initial crew came out). The entire process from hiring to project completion took A LOT longer than it should have (nearly two months) and I was very frustrated because of the high initial cost of the project, but in the end the company did honor their word and completed the work for no additional cost.

Jordan and Steven came to hydroblast my clogged kitchen sink. Took less than half an hour. Very courteous and conscientious to not track the floors. They wore booties over their footwear and laid down a dropcloth in the work area and wiped any drips when they were done. Very professional guys. The cost was over $500, but they have no control over that. I do think it's a tad pricey for a half hour job, especially when they advertise unclogging drains for $99. A bit misleading. Turns out that price only covers snaking/auger. I initially made an appt based on that advert, but the first guy that came convinced me to reschedule for the hydroblast which is guaranteed for a year. He said the drains should be clear for years to come, though. Other than the high cost, I am satisfied. The equipment probably costs a pretty penny. I do hope they pay their technicians well!

Ray, the plumber who first arrived promptly and as promised had to break the news to me that there was more involved with my basement floor drain. Would Give a Zero If It Was Possible. They came out to clean the main line for roots as we do every year because of the heavy tree's in our yard. Typically we do this once in the spring and never have to worry about it again and have never had issues when using more reputable companies. 8 days later it backs up and we have a mess on our hands. Called their office because they were just out and was told that they would call me back in the morning (this was a Friday evening). I receive a call an hour after they open and find out that they not only will not warranty it but I notice the tech I think purposely put the wrong date on the invoice to make it so they didn't have to. Save yourself some money, these guys may be cheaper at first but you will have to pay them and then another company to come out and fix what they obviously couldn't do right themselves. There are much better and more reputable companies that offer better service and customer care that will cost you much less in the long haul. I will be contacting the BBB. **Updated: Company did contact me again and later refunded the full amount paid.**

Our basement floor drain backed up with dark water and sludge. It slowly drained back into the floor drain, but every time we turned the water on the back up would occur again. We contacted One Hour Rooter late in the afternoon, spoke to Justin, and Justin had a technician come out early the next morning. The technician, Ray, was skilled in his analysis of the situation and gave us a fair price on what he recommended we do. Once we agreed to have the work done, One Hour Rooter had their plumber, Trevor, to our house the same day. Trevor installed a new 1 1/2 inch PVC washing machine spout drain, installed a new floor drain in our basement, removed our old concrete laundry tub, installed a new fiberglass laundry tub, installed a new PVC trap (all things we did need to upgrade), and used high pressure water to jet our clogged drain line. We cannot say enough good things about Trevor and the work he performed. Although a young man, Trevor did outstanding work that would rival someone twice his age with twice the experience. Trevor did all of the installation and cleaning all by himself (one young man, Eric, came for a brief time to help clean up the broken pieces of the concrete laundry tub). Trevor was kind, soft-spoken, patient, worked extremely hard, never complained, went above and beyond the call of duty (he made extra trips to get parts and machines just so we would be completely satisfied), finished the job to the end (even staying until 11:00 PM at night to get it all completed for us), was meticulous and thorough with his work (when he accidentally smudged his wet concrete around the new floor drain as he was trying to fix something else, he stopped what he was doing, took his trowel, and smoothed out the wet concrete to perfection), cleaned up after himself, and was extremely careful with our possessions and house so as not to damage or break or scrape anything. But that wasn't all. The next morning, when the floor drain, to our disappointment, backed up again, I called Justin at One Hour Rooter to inform him that the issue had not been resolved. Justin sent Trevor out to our house right away, within a half an hour after I called, and Trevor went right back to work. He discovered that the core problem was in our main drain line. He then brought out the big gun - a large drain machine with a 100-foot snake cable with a tip for cutting tree roots. Trevor brought that heavy machine down to our basement, step by step, all by himself, being careful not to damage our stairs or doors as he went through them. I never heard one complaint or grumble. In fact, when I commented on how hard he was working, Trevor replied that it was all okay and that the work was not bad at all. Trevor took the time, in a cramped working space, to feed the cable through our main line. At about 60 feet - whoosh - both of us could hear the line was cleared, but Trevor sent the cable all the way to its end just to make sure. He then pulled the cable back out. When the machine started to give him resistance, Trevor turned it off and, all the while bending over, pulled the cable back by hand! We then turned on all the faucets in the house, let the water run for awhile, and behold, no back up from the drain! Later, my wife and I ran the dishwasher, the washing machine, and the shower all at the same time. No back up. Problem solved. No extra charge. My wife and I were quite impressed with the price, quality of parts, and service of One Hour Rooter. And if Trevor is indicative of the type of plumbers they have on their team, then they have us sold on their company. Thank you to One Hour Rooter, and to Trevor, for a job well done, at a fair price, and with a friendly demeanor. Qualities rare and refreshing these days in which we live.

Just like other have posted recently. The most recent practice is the teaser rate. Then also they tell you a snake will not work without even trying it and upsell the jet. Well..the water jet did not work and the snake did. I called immediately to inform them I had felt extremely misled and fish hooked with the bait and switch. They informed us that the charges would be reversed. This was March 30th and after several emails and phone calls...nothing. They tried to say they would have to issue a check instead. Just a pushover excuse. Working in retail if a charge is made via card..it must go back on the card. After over a week, there has been no check. Nobody could even state whether or not a check had been issued nor sent out. Huge run around. Time for BBB to step in. This week will be a solid month with no resolve. DO NOT THEM JET. Tell them to snake it first. Very frustrated and angry at how poorly handled this situation was. Update: They processed the request to refund and apologized for the delay the morning after this review. Minus one star for the guy that didnt even try and minus one star for the runaround. Plus one star for same day service, plus one star for personable techs and plus one star for personable customer service over the phone.
