I ended up calling Reddick & Sons right after reading all the wonderful reviews left by Yelpers- I immediately called Reddick and was able to get a same day appointment! Joe- the technician was prompt, courteous, and did a wonderful job! He called me let me know in advance what time he would be arriving- and arrived at said time. He gave me a very reasonably priced quote for the pipe leakage and was very honest about the work that needed to be done. He did recommend that my water heater would need to be replaced in the next year or so but that would entail the new piping he will be putting on will be replaced with it which meant I would be paying twice for the pipes. I decided to just get a new water heater. The prices are very reasonable- in my opinion. He did such a thorough, wonderful, and clean job. He explained how to properly maintain the water heater to extend its life. I would highly recommend them!

My tech,Cody was excellent and so professional. He explained every detail to me. I called on Wednesday and installation was complete by Thursday afternoon. The area in my basement looks much better than it did with old water heater and drip pan was installed plus sensor in case there is ever a leak. I was very pleased with their prompt response. Bonus, there is a 6 year warranty from Reddick on the new heater. I would definitely recommend Reddick for all plumbing needs.

I’ve been using Reddick & Sons for a few years now and every experience has been excellent. They’ve done extensive work on my house, their pricing is fair, and their servicemen are always honest and easy to talk to. Most recently they went above and beyond for me. We came back into town after the frigid temps over Christmas and our front yard and walkway were very wet. I feared the worst - a burst sewer line. I called them at 4pm and they had a technician out to me at 7pm. Mark checked for a main line leak and thankfully we didn’t have one. He then explained that the moisture is probably just the ground thawing out from the extremely cold temps. When I offered to pay he refused and said don’t worry about it. I insisted but again he said no need! Wow! This is a business that knows how to take care of clients, and they’ll never nickel and dime you. Highly recommend!

Another great experience with Reddick & Sons. Our technician Shontel completed the installation of a complicated new Toto "Magic Toilet" which required tile drilling, hidden plumbing, electrical connection and setup. Shontel was professional, polite and friendly. The work area was kept clean and the installation was completed quickly. The GFI outlet was installed a couple weeks before by a Reddick & Sons electrician as well.

Reddick & Sons technicians were great about explaining the various aspects of my HVAC issue and giving me options. The day of the installation, the team arrived a little early and installed my new heat pump and water heater in an efficient manner. They also fixed issues with my HVAC system, such as insulating ducts that should have already been insulated. They took the time to answer all of my questions and explain the features of the new heat pump system. Everyone I spoke to was really nice and professional. I definitely recommend using this company.

As a home owner I’ve encountered several contractors claiming to provide a service. I was very skeptical approaching Reddick and Sons. But their reviews were excellent, so I said a prayer and called. OMG. On time, and professional. The tech explained everything is layman’s terms for me and tech terms for my husband. Within a week, we had a new hvac unit installed and we are very happy. We recently had a hot water heater leak in our condo and found that the main water cut off valve was also leaking. I called Reddick & Sons the same evening (after normal business hours) and explained our urgent plumbing situation. Although no technician was available to come that evening they were able to send a technician the next morning. Shontel arrived around 10:30 a.m. and assured us that he could replace the hot water heater, install a pressure reducing valve that would maintain a safe operating water pressure and fix the main water cut off valve the same day. True to his word he completed the project that day in a very professional and timely manner. We could not be happier with the service provided by Reddick & Sons and Shontel and highly recommend them.

Matt was our plumber cleaned out our sump pump and installed the new one with battery and back up and a new check valve. We sleep better at night knowing we have a new, quality Zoeller install. Reddick & Sons installed the water line for City water yesterday. They had to install 170' of HPE piping from Meter to inside my home. They took great care in digging the pilot and destination holes in order to pull the piping from the house to the meter. Had to have my meter box which was pulled away from the exterior wall put back in place. Kris did and excellent job and had to remove a tree root I didn’t even know was the root of the problem (no pun intended) to get the box to lay flat against the wall. It seems to me I got more than my money’s worth and would definitely use Reddick and Son’s again.

I even called back later in the evening after the service was completed to verify the smell I still had. The tech called back promptly and reassured me but also validated everything was still working properly. The best part, Joseph didn’t mind pets. He said I could let my 110# rotti out of the kennel. Scheduled 10a-2p appointment for a leaking toilet water supply line and a hot water issue. He was here by 11a, done with the toilet work by noon and gave us a quote for the part needed to fix the hot water issue. We have been using Reddick & Sons for a year for maintenance on a house we purchased. Last summer the AC stopped working during a particularly hot week and they came out and fixed it within a day or two (vs weeks I was scheduled out by other companies). Joe has been our repair tech and is always very courteous, knowledgeable, and quick. We recently had Mike come out to give us a quote to replace the whole system and he was great, showed me what was going wrong on the system, answered all my questions, explained what all the options were, and gave me his opinion on what he would do if it were his system. One thing I appreciate about Reddick & Sons is their communication. They call when they are on the way out, provide quotes in a timely manner, and answer the phone when you call. If you have HVAC needs, give them a call - you will be glad you did.

Very thorough. Determined the problem originated outside without cutting holes in inside drywall. Broken sewer line was detected and repair crew completed the repair within 48 hours. Once I found Reddick & Sons I have used them for both regular maintenance and troubleshooting, plus had them do a difficult whole house generator system a few years ago. Today I had to call them in to troubleshoot and repair a NO HEAT situation, which turns out to be the work of several other HVAC companies , who I won't name. But Reddick & SON is the go-to, best-of-the best. And I don't say that about many business these days! Every single person that they have sent to the house over the years has been knowledgable and as professional as they could have been. Yes, this company is always the best, most responsive, most professional, and (although not the cheapest for sure) fair priced. Worth every penny, and I do Highly recommend. Follow-up April 2023 This is a follow-up to a previous post earlier this week where this company did not live up to its previous high standards. Short version: Reddick techs over a few weeks did not perform as the company would want, and did not have sufficient knowledge to manage my older heat pump/oil HVAC system, and so left me with a non-operating heating/cooling system. I contacted the company owner, who immediately engaged and stepped in the very next day after I contacted him and personally brought the most-experienced tech to the house to diagnose and "fix" the problem, at least sufficiently so that I can now decide how to proceed with at least a minimally working system. This type of professional follow-up and service are not the norm these days; Reddick seems to really do the best it can for its customers, and who can ask for more. The big guys dont do that anymore!

I received a quote for an HVAC system replacement from another large company that also had good reviews online. While they were nice, they made it seem like I needed a $20k system and if I didn’t act quickly, prices would go up. I found Reddick online and reached out based on reviews. EVERYTHING about them has been professional from the very beginning, from the evaluation and quote process with Jackson to the installation and follow up since. The cost was significantly lower than the quote I received from the other company. I will use and refer Reddick to anyone moving forward. Read their reviews/Call them and you’ll see why.

We've had Reddick and Sons replace both of our 16 year old HVAC units and install an Aprilaire Steam humidifier. My house is so comfortable, even the neighbors want to move in. We also use them to service our commercial HVAC (installed by another contractor) at our business and they have really helped us uncover and fix issue's with the original install to keep it running smoothly. I highly recommend them and trust their technicians to do quality work every time.

We initially had Snell come out to look at our HVAC and they told me that my compressor was shot and we needed a whole new unit. We called Reddick & Sons for a second opinion and they replaced the capacitor and did some wiring troubleshooting and bam, the unit is up and running and the compressor was totally fine. Reddick & Sons saved me 10 grand and I didn't need a new unit at all. I used Reddick & Sons for my office HVAC and really liked their work. I would have called them originally but Snell did our other zone in our house 4/5 years ago and they had all the paperwork and were familiar with the systems. Big mistake. Only calling Reddick & Sons from now on. **8/8/22 update, had a drain line clogged. Sean from Reddick came out, handled it, was super nice. Reddick wins again.

Reddick personnel are always on time. The office and the technicians communicate well. We just had a winter HVAC service which seems to be thorough and well done. On top of that, the technician noticed that the hot water heater in our recently purchased home had a major safety issue regarding installation. It was a rather big problem that was dangerous. Reddick worked very quickly to get a technician from their plumbing crew to take care of the problem. Both technicians did excellent work. We are very grateful that the HVAC tech noticed this dangerous plumbing issue that wasn't even part of his task.

They performed service work on my 2-yr-old Generac generator, and the entire experience was absolutely first rate from start to finish. The office staff is very responsive and well-organized, and was always available to help with scheduling and updates on parts ordered from Generac. I was surprised at how quickly they were able to schedule the service call. The service technician, Michael, was highly experienced, competent and professional, and made quick work of the repair. It was a tricky diagnosis as the tub was fully tiled in without an access panel. Excellent service for a heat pump problem. Perhaps it was luck, but the service was scheduled for 2 hrs after I called, and it was right on time. The tech, Sean, was superb: extremely knowledgeable, intelligent, and a great communicator. He quickly identified an electrical problem and replaced the outdoor disconnect (which probably should have been replaced when we replaced the heat pump 11 years ago). He also replaced the capacitor, which was a little out of spec but functional, at no cost, because he thought it might be beginning to fail. With the system working again, he checked everything, reset the error codes, and gave us some excellent maintenance advice.

After basically being ignored from another business and being told I could not have my HVAC system replaced from a second business, I reached out to Reddick and Sons due to their very good reviews. Edit: Writing an update that after posting the Yelp review, the owner of Reddick & Sons reached out, listened to my problem, and addressed my concerns personally. Updating them to 5 stars, as there aren't many businesses these days where the owner reaches out to personally make things right. Original review: We woke up a few Sundays ago to water in the basement of our new build house. Not knowing any plumbers in the area, I called Reddick and Sons based on the good reviews, thinking it was a bust pipe. They charged a $200 emergency dispatch fee to send a plumber out. Between my calling and the plumber showing up, it started to rain heavily. The plumber shows up, spends 15 minutes at our house looking at the water and says it isn't a plumbing issue, our house is flooding due to heavy rain. I said that's unlikely, since the water was there since that morning (when it hadn't rained in a few days). The plumber was insistent, said there's nothing he could do, and left without doing anything (but taking my $200). In a panic, I call a waterproofing company who comes out the following morning. In less than ten minutes, they identify a leaking pipe that the plumber missed. I called Reddick and Sons and they send out the same plumber. I point out where there's a leaking pipe - and sure enough, there's a leaking pipe. He fixes it while acting sheepish, and making excuses for why he missed it when he showed up the day before (but again, was happy to take my $200). Due to Reddick and Sons, that pipe leaked water for 24 more hours than it needed to. I had to pay hundreds more in remediation costs than I would have had their plumber identified and fixed the problem when he first came out. Only giving them two stars because they did do a good job fixing the issue once I identified and pointed it out to them.

Alex arrived on time and spent about an hour examining the two lights I had issues with. He also inspected two rooms where I want ceiling fans installed so he could give me an estimate. He only charged me the service call fee bc my kitchen pendant light has a defective part and I need to contact the electrical store where I bought it for a replacement part. He explained exactly what I needed to do to replace the defective part once I get it and then reinstall my light—so I don’t need to call an electrician again! Of course I can have him return to do this work if I decide I can’t cope! But he gave me clear instructions as to how to do it myself once I have the new part. I had my water heater replaced after 12 years, get all the copper pipes cleaned up, replaced the rusting pressure reducer and put in a mixing valve with Reddick & Sons. 5 stars and happy with the results. I had received quotes from a handful of companies. I will say Reddick & Sons wasn't the cheapest but it's not a bad thing if you want your project done right the first time. The cheapest companies' free consultation left me wondering if it'll be done properly. At the end, it came down to two choices with whom I was comfortable proceeding with. R&S was more expensive but had many great reviews. The other was cheaper but not a lot of reviews. I picked R&S eventually because they were willing to work with me on the price. It wasn't an exact match but I was happy with the price after looking at a few similar quotes. I was a little surprised they didn't recommend a mixing valve. I think they are trying not to oversell a lot of items but from the stuff I'd been reading, you'd want a mixing valve so I asked for one. Without a mixing valve, your tank temp will be at 110'C and bacteria can still grow at the temp. If you have a mixing valve, you can set the tank temp to 140'C to kill off all bacteria and use the valve to tone it down to 110'C so it's safe for you. I'm no expert but that makes sense to me so I had a mixing valve installed. The project took about 3-4 hours total. It didn't feel right the guy was carrying the huge tank with a cart by himself so I helped him at the stairs. The work was done very professionally. He wore slip on covers for his shoes inside the house and cleaned up all the mess afterward. The plumbing work is very clean and is a lot prettier than before. Everything is up to code as well (they installed drain pan and overflow tank). I highly recommend them. Don't cheap out on the important stuff but also have a few quotes ready so you aren't overpaying by a lot. Good luck with your project!

They were then able to book us two days later to fix the problem. They had to cut a hole in our basement ceiling, run a wire up to the main floor oven, and then run another wire all the way across the basement and duct work to the breaker box. These guys really do it all, which ran me down a rabbit hole with them. In short, the plumber and electrician which came (two separate visits in the same day) were excellent. I started by just needing to figure out how our 3-way switches were working - or more accurately, "how I'd broken 'em and how to fix 'em". and led to having them also come look at a minor plumbing problem. There was a bit of a wait to get a person on the phone (I'd say a few minutes), but she was wonderful in getting me set up. I wasn't in a rush, but they were still able to set me up with an appointment window of about 3 hours the next morning. They called about 30 minutes before arriving, and the electrician was great. He was incredibly friendly, and listened as I explained what I was doing, and walked me through all of his troubleshooting so that I'd understand what to look for in the future. It took him a minute or two of thinking (this wiring was not awful, but definitely not normal, electrical installers are a rare breed of crazy sometimes), but he figured out the problem and both explained what was going on as well as what to look for in the future. He then fixed another odd 3-way switch, explaining what to look for in the future there as well. While 3-ways are definitely the bane of my existence, at least I now have more information to tame the beast. Before he left I explained my plumbing question (the plumber was coming an hour later). He looked and was as stumped as I was, but had some thoughts. He also had me start running water in likely problem areas, so that when the plumber showed up I had more information to help through the diagnostic. The plumber helped track down one of the leaks, and had pretty solid advice that the ducts had condensation in the summer, and that there isn't a ton to do about it. I really appreciated all his advice, and again explaining what was going on, how he made the determination, and what ideas I can do to address it in the future. I also asked for a quote to replace two toilets, which ended up coming in cheaper than the cost an individual plumber had given me when I replaced the first two toilets. While I think the diagnostic fee of about $70 is a bit steep (I preferred the discount price I received via Yelp), I do understand the necessity. And since I expect to always have the work done by them, I haven't seen it as an issue. We've had Reddick come out for electrical and plumbing over the past 5 years and always had great success. They are really clear explaining why they are making a recommendation, and the final price always seems in-line with other service providers. Reddick & Sons have now become my go-to electricians and plumbers. They really were incredible.

I called Reddick and Sons to schedule them to come and fix our kitchen faucet. The hot water was not working. We thought it was just the emergency shut off valve. They came determined that yes the valve was bad it was just spinning. Replaced it quickly and professionally. The hot water still did not work. More than likely when the valve went out it sent junk into our faucet and clogged it. We were working through our home warranty for reimbursements and waiting on approval. We had the technician leave because 1 we didn’t have the replacement faucet and 2 we didn’t have approval for him to work yet. We got approval and then called to reschedule. They were able to come right back out and install the new faucet same day. (We went to Ace Hardware and bought the model we wanted). Great people, Awesome work, and reasonably priced. I learned after a high water bill that I had an outdoor water main leak. I"m so happy I went with Reddick on this one. They did not mess around. Unlike other vendors, they knew immediately what to do and were able replace the water main with a copper pipe and minimal trenching for less than what another company. I called and scheduled a service visit and they were able to get me in the next day (non-emergency visit). They diagnosed my routinely clogged utility drain problem and gave me an extremely reasonable quote to permanently fix the problem. The work was scheduled and completed within a few days and I haven't had a problem since. I will definitely be using Reddick's services again in the future and so should you.

October 2017: Jan (reddick and sons) came out to troubleshoot an electrical circuit that got knocked out during some recent interior carpentry work. The problem was pretty difficult to trace and it took quite a few troubleshooting tricks to figure it out. Jan put a lot of energy into the issue and had a great attitude the whole time. This weekend we ran out of water. Isn't that the way things go? So Monday morning I was frantically trying to find someone to come and help diagnose the issue. Reddick & Sons made me an appt for the next but but assured me they would try to get someone out the same day. I reached another service and they came out. Within 10 minutes they diagnosed a leak in the well or the well pump was going bad. Either way they would have to dig down to the well and it would cost $1,000-$5,000. Reddick's staff called to say that they had a technician in the area they could send my way and I told her I had already had someone came by and what they said. She urged me to get a second opinion with their technician. I am so glad I did. Matthew showed up and after a while of talking I had explained the previous company's actions & determination that morning. Matthew kept looking and checked every water receptacles outside and most of the ones inside. He said "I just don't see signs of a leak, do you mind if I go around and double check everything once more? " a little while later he said come and look at this. A guest had stayed the weekend in our basement bedroom and used the bathroom down there and let the toilet run for the past several days, running the well dry. Until we got next to the toilet, we couldn't hear it. Needless to say, Matthew's knowledge and determination saved me a lot of money. He fixed the toilet for us and by the next day our well was replenished. Thank you Matthew for being a great human being who didn't take advantage of my lack of knowledge in this field for a large pay out because from now on we will only use Reddick and Son's services. Response speed to the service request is good and I liked that the electrician put on shoe covers in the house. The quality of work was also okay. However I am not happy for the reasons below: - Felt I paid more than I should have for the work carried out as they were not able to resolve the issue i had hired them for in the first place. But they were honest in explaining the reasons for doing so as it would have meant making holes in the drywall for something not too significant. - after the work was done we found one of the kitchen appliances was not working. Turned out the electrician had accidentally hit the switch for this in the circuit breaker sending it the wrong way. We can understand these things happen, but when we called the service line before we did our own troubleshooting, they wanted to charge us just to come out and check the switch outlet for the appliance. Claimed that the earlier service which was for the bedrooms could not have been responsible for it even though I told them the electrician did have to open the circuit breaker to do his work. The service girl only agreed to call the electrician after I did some insisting, but eventually we figured it out on our own. Really the service could have been better but the electrician was friendly and good at his job.
