Tim, Micah, Joe, and Nick were all wonderful! Micah and Nick worked hard to help me. Tim and Joe answered all of my questions in very simple terms to help me understand what was going on, they were very knowledgeable and confident and that put me at ease. An experience with a previous plumber at another company, while they were kind, did not measure up. I felt like these guys cared about helping and making sure I was comfortable and understood what was going on and what my options were. They also made sure I knew what each thing they did would cost, which I was told by the other company wouldn’t be able to happen until they did the work, which can obviously be very scary. I never once felt pressured to do anything, I was given knowledge and estimates in order to make my decisions. I really appreciated their professionalism, help, kindness, and their excellent manners. I would recommend them to anyone!

Great experience from estimate to end of the job. Joe, who came out for the initial estimate worked well with me on understanding my requests, and provided a timely estimate with everything we discussed, and took the time to answer questions when I followed up. He also came out the morning of the install to go everything we had discussed with the installation team. The install team, Kevin, and Tanner did a great job with the install. Took the time to do the job right and answered all my questions, and cleaned up well when they were done. Great end to end experience, with everything same as estimate which best the other estimate I had received from another company.

We were referred to LD Smith by another plumbing company to address an outside sewer drain line issue that came up urgently. I called on a Friday afternoon and they were able to come out and examine and clear the clog within 3 hours of my initial call. Nick was pleasant, professional, honest and thorough in his work so that we didn’t get stuck with a big bill and another problem over the weekend until the other expensive plumbing issue could be addressed the following week by the original company. I would recommend them (and Nick) based on our experience.

Eric was very nice . He took the times to explain everything to me in a very professional manner. I am a first time buyer. I didn’t know anything about water softener but Eric explained everything that I need to know and how to maintain it. I called LD Smith because I didn’t have water in the toilets and shower. My water heater was leaking and I didn’t know. I just told and showed him and he already knew what the problem was. Eric and his coworker did a great job. I will use LD smith in the future and highly recommended.

The guys came to my house to assess my problem with a toilet that other plumbers could not figure out. After checking out everything over and over, they finally decided it had to be a leak in the toilet itself. Of course, I was sure that was not the problem and resisted. However they were able to show me that red dye was disappearing in an almost invisible spot in the bottom of the toilet. They were very patient with me and certainly were thorough. I highly recommend these guys!

After multiple failed attempts with other plumbing companies, I contacted L.D. Smith Plumbing. Joe McElfresh came out the same day to provide an inspection and estimate. Joe made a very good first impression on me and my husband. Due to scheduling conflicts, we opted to have the service completed the next day which meant having someone other than Joe to perform the work. Kurt Maynard came out the next day to replace the shower valve and trim kit. Kurt completed a 4-hour job in less than 3 hours. Kurt was very friendly and professional. Eric and Nick arrived on time. They listened to our concerns and briefing. Eric offer a toilet upgrade. We elected not to do it at this time as the toilet being reset is only ten years old. They proceeded to remove the toilet and prepared to do the reset. Eric noted the subfloor has gotten soft around flange from seepage, but solid to allow reset. He proceeded to do so and placed a silicone bead around the base of the toilet. All works as it should and we are pleased with the work. We intend to use LD Plumbing for our future plumbing needs. Second time using LD Smith for issues. Kevin was great! Arrived on time showed him my problem pipe. My house is older and whomever has done the plumbing since it was built have had very questionable plumbing knowledge. Kevin was able to figure out how to replace the old rotting pipe without ripping pretty much all the other pipe in the area out too. Since that is where the well pump, water softener and pipe that goes outside for the hose is, that's a lot of pipe!

Our entire experience with LD Smith Plumbing was great. I sent an appointment request late at Wednesday night for a gas line repair and received a call 1st thing in Thursday morning to get someone scheduled same day. Although the entire project took about 2-3 days (not their fault), it was done in a very professional manner. Eric and Justin were super friendly, funny, and helpful. They offered to help clean up any mess that was made and offered suggestions without being pushy. Had to call the office after the project was completed because something wasn't right and they had Justin arriving at our door in less than 30 minutes. Cannot recommend them enough!

We had LD Smith (no relation) come out to handle a drain-stoppage issue that had been recurring, ever more frequently. They quickly determined what was causing the problem and why it was becoming more/too frequent. We have an old house with very old and deteriorating outdoor connections to what was once a weird system of cisterns and septic tanks but are now connected to sewers. They worked out the best way to take care of things long-term and did it very efficiently. The work ended up being substantial, as we knew it would be. The price, timing, and personnel were all excellent. Of course, with any large (for us) project, there was a hiccup. They handled that with honesty, understanding, and aplomb. We will definitely be calling them first for future plumbing work.

Fantastic sewer replacement!! LD Smith had to hammer up all the pipes under my basement to replace the old cast iron from the 50s and replace with fresh PVC because our cast iron was deteriorating and causing a clog in the main line. They were fast, efficient, polite and friendly and did a wonderful job!!! There was practically no mess remaining once they finished the job, and the new concrete was nicely flush (no pun intended!) with the old concrete on the floor! Thank you LD Smith!!!!

Kevin Hagensieker was able to quickly repair a broken pipe under the house. Kevin showed up promptly, entered the craw space, diagnosed the problem and then provided the estimate. It was a two man job so Kevin called a colleague who joined him to repair the pipe. They were both professional and drove late model vans with the company logo on the side. Another nice touch is that when a plumber is dispatched you receive a text with the plumbers name and photo.overall it was a great experience. They were able to get to us fairly quick initially. The problem was one that could've been several different things, so they checked on a part and told us what we could easily do ourselves (soaking a certain part in vinegar to remove build up). When we had a new leak after our appointment, they came right back the next day, fixed it, and waived the service fee. The plumber was very friendly and explained the process as he went along.

LD Smith did an excellent job with replacing my main water line. After skyrocketing bills from my utility company, they came out and quickly identified the issue. They had a team out within the next few days to replace my pipe. Everyone was extremely courteous and followed proper COVID protocols. Job was done efficiently. They were done if half the time they had originally estimated. All of the areas they worked in were completely cleaned up before they left. They sent pictures of the whole project and ensured my rate was a flat rate to avoid any overages. I can’t say enough great things about this experience. I’ll definitely be using them in the future and referring others as well.

I am a "need to know" person and he was very respectful and gracious about answering all of my questions. Thankfully, my issue ended up being a quick repair. The cost of the service call and repair was very reasonable compared to other plumbing businesses I had contacted. I appreciated the fact that he was able to accept my check and send me a receipt from his handheld device. I highly recommend this company.

We wanted to proactively replace our original main sewer line before it failed. I got a few quotes but LD Smith plumbing really clicked with us. TJ did the original inspection and quoting and I could tell from the beginning that it was going to be a good experience. I got an honest review of the current condition of the sewer pipe and his best recommendation for how to replace it to our criteria. (We went with the pipe bursting method) After agreeing to the contract their front office was great at communicating with me to get the job scheduled. Once the job started I would even get text messages with photos of the workers and their ETAs which was very nice. It was a big job scheduled for 3-days and we had the same crew everyday so it was nice to see the same faces. Tim was leading the crew of Wes, Trevor, and Isaac. They were all very courteous and professional. They did a good job of laying down carpets and runners to protect our indoor surfaces to keep it clean. And the outside work near the street was also kept clean and well marked with safety zones. I was updated during every step of the process. Once it was completed they did a fantastic job of putting everything back together in a clean way. Overall I was very satisfied with my experience and would definitely hire them again and recommend LD Smith Plumbing to my friends and neighbors.

Even though the team had been there to inspect and figure out the problem earlier, Tim did a great job explaining to me what was happening, the steps they would be taking and the estimated time. I have a home warranty and they were sent out after the initial company left with my sink clogged. They came and cleared my kitchen and bathroom sink drains. They have excellent communication. Elizabeth got someone out here right away after me telling her my sink had been left clogged for about a month. Christian Faulds was the technician. He was here the next day. Joe came out within a day of us reaching out and did the initial assessment and confirmed there was a blockage with his camera and pinpointed where it was. He gave us a quote for the bringing a team out to dig and find the issue. He was very transparent and educational because I know nothing about plumbing and had quite a few questions. We were able to schedule the team of Tim and Trevor to come out and do the work at the earliest convenience for me. Tim and Trevor were able to find this issue in short order and educated me on the solutions. They were able to go down and dig out 7-9 feet of dirt replace my broken pipes and fill it in less than 24 hours and my sewage flow was back to new. With this weekend’s heavy rain, I experienced backup from the basement floor drain and flooding. I called L.D. Smith on Monday morning and they were able to get a crew out same day. Joe and Joe arrived promptly and diagnosed the problem, recommending installation of a back flow preventer and further inspection of a blocked sewer pipe. Pricing was competitive. They were able to schedule the installation for a few days later and work around my schedule. Installation was hassle free. On Friday, Tim and Wes arrived as scheduled, and were efficient and professional. I especially appreciated the extra effort they placed into returning the yard to as close to normal as possible given they had to excavate close to 10 feet down. Tim and Wes also took pride in cleaning up and leaving things better than they found it, including raking the yard, sweeping up and spraying the driveway, coiling the hose, and removing all of the flags placed by 811. Overall, a very positive experience with L.D. Smith and my interactions with four of their employees on two separate occasions. Also, during these uncertain times, each of the four employees’ (Joe, Joe, Tim, and Wes) conscientiousness toward social distancing and always wearing a mask was noted and appreciated. (I’ve had other service providers out recently and it has been hit or miss). L.D. Smith will be my first call for future plumbing concerns.

I am proud to say we have been customers of LD smith since 2012, when Lance was the only plumber in town willing to fix our broken sewer line after another plumber botched the job and made it worse. Since then, they have done work on my salon and two more houses we moved into. Each and every time they have gone above and beyond in courtesy, punctuality, cleanliness, quality and trustworthiness. It is rare that I have been able to say that with other contractors and companies with which we have done business. Today, Phil and Joe came to replace a cracked drain pipe from a second floor bathroom that was leaking in the basement. They pinpointed where the leak was, found it in the wall and managed to cut a modest, perfect square in the wall to remove the broken drain, which will make it a sinch for me to fix since they saved the drywall and I can put it right back in. When they got here, they found evidence of another leak as the pipe travels across the basement to a main drain, so they replaced the whole section for us for only an additional $200! With the entire section of old cast iron replaced with PVC, it looks so much better and fits better along the ceiling than the previous pipe that was hanging down and in our way. Everything was clean and put back together when they left. They have saved us more than once and it has been a pleasure giving them our business. If we ever stop moving into these old houses we may never need them again, but if we do Im super glad they are there.

OH my - LD Smith is the best.......about 1.5 year ago they repaired my sewer line in Butler-Tarkington. We are now selling and the inspection showed a break in the line in the street. New development. So we had the inspection report back at 4:30 Friday. Monday at 8:15 am I call them, forward the inspection video, they had my file and all documents, reviewed the video and our file. Although they were able to fit us into their schedule quickly for a replacement of a hot water heater they replaced 4 years ago, they TOTALLY took advantage of our situation and charged us far too much for their labor ($555)! It was double what they charged for the one they replaced under our HSA warranty. The technician was nice enough but to charge for a diagnosis and draining of the hot water heater, both of which my husband had done prior to their arrival, was ridiculous. I would not recommend them again unless you have lots of money to spare.

We have used LD Smith plumbing several times for smaller plumbing service calls such as replacing a shower mixing valve and installing a new outdoor hose bib. Most recently we had LD Smith install a new Navion tankless water heater for us . Every time dealing with them they’re pricing has breen competitive with The Indianapolis Metropolitan industry standard for licensed professional plumbing companies. I’m sure craigslist has cheaper options if you’re a gambler . Each time The plumbers who came to our house have inspected the issue and then given a detailed explanation of what needed to be done and then pricing. We have never encountered a surprise number when it came time to pay the bill. As far as their plumbers they were pretty much what you would Want to see out of a service person coming to your home . Each time they where Friendly well spoken , well groomed. They did the work and left. Exactly What I want to see out of a service person coming to my home. In and out job done .
