Our Water Meter was stolen from our yard in front of our house that is being rebuilt after a fire, so we had water gushing everywhere in our yard and into the street. Jason M, came out to meet with me to analyze the problem and make an estimate to fix the water pit, bring it up to code and replace the meter. At the scheduled time, Travis and another plumber came to the house and dug a new pit, replaced or fixed the damaged pipes and added dirt to hopefully get the ground smooth around the new pit. Everyone was VERY friendly and professional. I had reason to call their office a number of times due to the odd situation and everyone there (especially Pepper) was great to talk with. I would recommend Benjamin Franklin to anyone! Very Happy! Thank you!!!

We had a water heater check up and had the technician look at a clogged pipe associated with our washer. He applied a coupon and we were able to get it fixed. He checked the line to verify it was working. Because he was kind and appeared knowledgeable, we asked him to look at a toilet that appeared to be leaking. He offered some reasonable advice and options. We were happy with the service provided today!

Chris M. was the plumber who did the installation, and he did a great job. Had it knocked out within a couple hours. We had a gas leak in our mechanical room and Toby was great! He had it fixed quickly and we were able to get the gas to our house turned back on. He waited for the gas company inspector to show up just to make sure everything was okay. We also had a minor issue with our gas line running to our outdoor fire pit and he fixed that quickly too. Highly recommend Toby!

The plumber was a champion. They identified the issue quickly and made the repair. He was kind, and informative also. If the price hadn’t been so extortionate I would have given a 5 Star review. There were a few different leaks within a 4 foot section of wall that took less than 3 hours to fix. The three hours included 35+ minutes of him running to the hardware store to get a shark bite he didn’t have. Factoring in the few feet of pex used, and a few valves and connectors, I’d say $200+ an hour is a pretty high fee.

Called Benjamin Franklin for Sump pump removal, cleanup and installation of new pump system. Company was responsive, got a sales person to provide us with options and a tech scheduled for the same day to complete the job. Tech was professional, respectful, wore boot covers and did a very clean and thorough job. Company is a bit pricey but service is excellent.

Needed an estimate for replacing all water/drain lines in my house. Mark was very professional and knowledgeable. Few days later Ben Franklin Plumbing replaced all the water and sewer pipes in my home. The plumbers that came out were on time did an excellent job. After they were finished they cleaned up and showed me all the work and where all the new shut offs were and how the new shower head works. Would hire them again in a second!

I called Benjamin Franklin after receiving an outrageously high quote on a possible water heater replacement (and water softener that we did not need). Gus came and gave us clear, concise answers with no theatrics (ie, our water heater was NOT going to “blow up” as we had been told by our first quote). Gus is very knowledgeable and his honesty saved us $4k that we did not need to put into a replacement at this time. He also took a look at a toilet which was not originally in the service call and fixed that within minutes. I wish we had called Benjamin Franklin first- we certainly will down the road when we do need that replacement!

I don't often go through the trouble of leaving reviews, but Mike O. was a true professional and I was compelled to do so. I live in an older home with changes/upgrades being made ad hoc. Mike advised and explained in great detail, and after triaging my problem he removed the toilet auger charge because it was no longer needed, so I only paid for the house call. He surely could have fooled me into pursuing the toilet auger "just in case". The house call fee to pay for the peace of mind and plumbing lesson was one hell of a deal!

A Good Thing Keeps Getting Better We experienced a drain problem in our kitchen sink on a Friday night (ugh), but BF Plumbing came to the rescue. By Saturday morning Juan V was at our house, and promptly took care of the situation. As it turned out, this was not a drain clearing that we could have done ourselves, since we don't own the right equipment. So we're doubly glad we called. Juan was friendly, personable, equipped, and prepared to take care of our service issue. How many plumbing contractors can you call on a Friday evening at closing, and get service the next morning without having to wait through the weekend? Maybe in some cases a household can wait, but when it comes to your kitchen sink, and being able to use it or absolutely not (plus the dishwasher, etc.) it matters! Once again, Ben Franklin Plumbing makes us glad we use this company! On another occasion we had this experience: Toby is personable, professional, and informative. He and his colleague Jeremiah completed the repair we needed done today, and on a whole house inspection at our request, found a maintenance issue that they will address on their next service call. Our 30-year-old home is new to us, and we can't be completely sure which services have been done over the years. Better to take care of things before they're a problem. This company is so reliable and they do quality, comprehensive, guaranteed work. We highly recommend them. Update on maintenance issue: Brian came out today to take care of this, and did a great job. He let us know what was involved and kept us informed of his progress. He's very personable and professional, as are all BF Plumbing employees. We're reassured that everything has been well taken care of.

1/18/21 Paul was here almost all day today to reroute our kitchen sink drain and install another outside spigot (yes!). Everything went smoothly. Satisfied so far. James replaced one of our outdoor spigots. No more leaking, and we have no complaints! Edit: four days after replacement, the new piping added from the spigot replacement began leaking. We called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing expecting them to send someone out, but were instead told the nearest appointment was over 36 hours away. We have their "Society" plan that supposedly tells that a technician is available 24/7 for us. That plan does not appear to have much value, and we are still awaiting a fix on their repair job. New edit: Today (Sunday afternoon), James returned and repaired the leak. He used a different, stronger pipe connection, and the leaking has stopped. Our basement is drying up. We are happy that someone could come before the scheduled appointment time. It was just a little less than 24 hours after we initially called about the leaking.

We just bought our house, and a few days ago our water heater stopped working. He spent time explaining that our water heater (close to 10 years old) doesnt have parts made for it anymore. We had a leak in the bottom of our hot water tank. Unfortunately we had to have the whole tank replaced. Gus explained the reason and gave estimates for replacement. He drained the water from the tank and went to the shop for a new unit. Gus explained how to drain the water and how often it should be done. No mistake I called schedule for installation n cost needed done on Monday..at 2pm they said 2/6pm fine but was inform work had to be done Monday 3x prior!shoe Monday at 4pm did estamate n rudely said yes can do it in 4hrs but master plumber,even with tech,n full big van van truck out front.Even with shower kit n drain there allready,He wasn’t working till 8:30 pm .N was only doing estimate. But would have not them but installers show wedsday.Who did get done then n did professional job very nice inform n as seer all ???.. Yes I would use again n even in weekends but they need be upfront with dispatchers n say if estimate only or get job done..Make sure this understood n documented.they do recorded n check for truth in contents tiers n yours for such…I had four others contractors that had done by Monday..but I use them prior times we used them was good…Dispatching drop the ball n master plumber shoul never tell client he not staying late cs they’re late even after saying they could do 4hours n had everything needed,..who’s working for who.. I called and requested a service call (free) to check out my water heater. Both the person that answered and the plumber who came over were very friendly. The reason I rate this company 3/5 stars is because the plumber did not investigate my problem but instead offered me the pricy replacement ($$$$$$) options. The next day I had a different company come check out the problem and they fixed my issue basically free as I had some sediment built up on my hot water side of my water heater. I will need to replace it soon but I will not use this company as their warranty and “labor” fees were not inclusive. I suggest you get different estimates so that you can save yourself money and get a company that really does offer a warranty with “free” labor.

My only complaint was that power jetting was part of what I paid for. It was broken, so that never happened. When I inquired about a refund for that, I was told it was included, so I wasn't charged for it. Being a corporate company, I don't believe that. So, if you use them, get a breakdown of pricing.

We switched from an electric to a gas stove, and needed a gas line run from our furnace/water heater area to our kitchen(about 40 feet of line.) Benjamin Franklin was not the cheapest quote out of the ~6 we got. They were about midrange. We went with them because their quoting tech Paul walked us through all the things to consider much better than any other company. Chris M, who did the installation, arrived on time. He was mindful that we had pets and let us get them put away before he was leaving doors open. He did everything he could to not punch holes in the ceiling in the living areas while running the line, and was successful in that endeavor, which I really appreciated. He also cleaned up superbly when he was done and tested the stove to make sure everything was up and running. Great service all around!

I had an appointment for a "uninstalling a water softener and they gave me a" for installing one of their softeners or a softener that I had purchased at a retail store I chose to have them install the software from the retail store they had someone here installing it 3 hours later. He did a great job was very professional And very helpful with any questions that I had and was also informative even if I did not have questions. Donny was great. All the plumbers have been very busy due to the weather, but he got here as quickly as he could.
