After 50+ years of search here in Houston, I think I've finally found my plumbing company. I had two problems in two weeks and was treated to great and timely service. Perhaps most importantly they can be trusted to make an accurate diagnosis of the existing problem and provide necessary repairs at a reasonable cost. One lasting benefit, I can now gaze with pleasure on those talking TV heads who constantly tell me how great and wonderful their plumbing company is!!

This was my first time using S&B plumbing Inc. I was referred to them by another plumbing company that was unable to replace my entire sewer line. I spoke with the lady in the office (who was very nice and informative) and she got me in touch with their crew leader right away. We discussed my issue over the phone and I was given an estimate right then and there. There estimate was exactly HALF of what was quoted to me from John Moore. After the crew leader came and inspected my sewer line he reached back out to me and confirmed his quote was accurate. I gave them the OK and they got to work. They made the whole process simple and I couldn't be happier with the work preformed. I definitely recommend S&B. They will definitely be my go to plumbers in the future.

When we had a pipe break right before Christmas in the 2022 freeze, they came out quickly, capped the pipe, and recommended a good company to help with the cleanup. We had a busted outdoor faucet from a freeze. S & B was able to send out Junior on Christmas Eve so we could turn our water back on. He did the repair expertly in a professional manner replacing our old pvc with better copper pipe and new hardware. We were able to turn our water back on over the Holliday.

Justin and team did the right thing professionally. We had a ceiling water dripping issue and were assuming there was a tuff leaking problem. Justin and team worker performed a quick and efficient testing and came to the conclusion that it is just because of sealing issue between the tub and wall. They helped to fixed the sealing issue and also kindly addressed a couple of other plumbing related concerns. Finally, because of their efficiency, S & B charged me only half of the basic charging! Absolutely I would strongly recommend S & B for any plumbing needs.

The two guys who came out , went into the attic and checked the lines and advised me that I didn’t need to as the lines were not galvanized. These guys are honest, professional and hardworking. I was very pleased with the prompt response - I had a faucet that would not turn off, called and they scheduled service between 9 - 11 AM, the repairman arrived prior to 11 AM and promptly got the repairs made. He was very polite and after repairing the faucet asked if I had anything else. I told him that the tub in my master bath was slow to drain, he looked at it, cleaned some debris from the drain and corrected the problem. I have used S&B previously and am very pleased with their services - I always recommend them to any friends who are having plumbing problems.

The reason why I hesitate to write a review is my water heater still making the same noise after it has been flushed. I was told by the technician that he had already done the best he could. Well, maybe some large sediments was not able to be flushed out the tank, but at least flushed out most of it, the tank is supposed cleaner than before, and it makes me feel a little better.

Johnny totally went above & beyond today. I had just scheduled a quick gas line inspection. But I had been noticing a mysterious spot in my downstairs ceiling that I just pointed out to him. I always check with my local jurisdiction whether my planned work requires a permit to be pulled - it is the law. S&B Plumbing's work is always of a high professional caliber and I never have to worry about whether all the relevant codes have been adhered to or whether I will pass inspection. I will continue to use them in the future.

This company has been our go-to plumber for several plumbing needs; toilet replacement, water heater replacement, drain clearing, issues after the freeze, and now inspection issues on our home we are selling. Have been using them for several years. Service not only my home, but also rental property. Have replaced water heaters in both locations. Actually, re-piped my home. Have replaced two toilets…on one went over and beyond to do a little tile work!!! Pricing is competitive, but not the cheapest. However, the quality of their work is “the best” and every member of their staff that has provided service is professional, knowledgeable, courteous, efficient and honest!!! Yes, used them again to clean 4 drains and install a new faucet in one of our bathrooms. Great job again! One more time, called to do periodic water jetting to ensure drain from atrium to street is clear before the next severe flooding rainstorm or hurricane. I have them come every three years to clean out the roots and any dirt accumulated. Had to call S&B back with the outside line issue. Turns out they pushed sediment into the A/C line when the main line was cleared, and that night the A/C line overflowed into our hallway. Called the next day and they came back within an hour with an inside drain rooter and cleared the line. Johnny and Joey did a fantastic and thorough job clearing the line and tested all lines to make sure all lines were open and flowing. Johnny detailed the procedure and put the notes in our file to make sure that the next time we call in a couple of years for the routine cleaning of the outside line, that the inside lines are cleared and tested at the same time!! Wow!!!! Called 12/21/2022 with a plugged/ broken hot water faucet. Cody Ross came 12/22/2022 with LG…assessed that there was gasket debris in the line…cleared it and was on his way. Great news for a hot shower tonight! 4/3/2023 Mike Pitts was the lucky guy to come today to clear two slow drains. Took longer this time, but a job well done and the water is flowing freely down the drain.

I am really pleased with S&B. We used them a few weeks ago on a house we just bought. The plumbing outside the house had some issue and was causing the drains to back up inside the house. We got a quote from Roto-router for $4000, and decided to shop around. S&B got back to us quickly, were able to come out and assess the problem with a camera AND fix it right then, for a quarter of the price! They even went DOWN on price after digging up the grass and seeing what the problem actually was. It's hard to know who to trust in situations like this, and I am so grateful this worked out well.

On October 4-6, 2021, the S&B Plumbing crew did a complete re-piping of my house that was built in 1980. There had been three pipe breaks during the February freeze. They replaced all the old galvanized pipes with Pex pipes. They installed two new toilets and a new water heater. Plus they did extras like the construction of a wooden framework to support the old kitchen double sink. They even donated a used kitchen faucet head. In June, 2022, they replaced the corroded tub fixtures in the master bathroom. S&B work crews do excellent work and are friendly and courteous. The prices are fair and reasonable. I was referred to S&B by a family friend. I have been recommending their services to all my friends and neighbors. *****

Fixed shower faucet. On first visit they didn’t have the handle needed for the new part. I was asked to get with Delta to see if they would warranty the 17 year old + faucet and they actually did as a 1 time courtesy to me, the second owner. When the replacement handle and kit arrived a week later, it turned out to be different than the new installed stem part S & B put on. I called to see if S & B would come back out since I still had the same problem, at no charge. They did agree and did the repair in 10-15 minutes. Thank you S & B, Justin & team!

Steve and Carlos had to remove (and replace) part of the door frame to get the new water heater to fit in the tight closet. They also had to replace part of a leaking pipe and repair venting in the attic and seal storm collar on the roof. While they were here, they reset the toilets in master and guest bathrooms. They called ahead, arrived on time, were courteous and cleaned up afterward. They take the proper precautions and get the proper permits, etc. We have used them before and will use them again.

We've used S&B Plumbing since the 1980's and have always had excellent service and great advice. Very professional and really nice people. We've never had "call-backs" as we had with others. They always work according to code and when they leave I know the work has been done right and will last. It's always tempting to try a cheaper plumber but we've learned from experience it's just not worth the risk and aggravation.

We used S&B Plumbing to repair one of our toilets earlier this week. While they were here, I asked Mike if he would go in the attic and do a visual inspection on our water heater (which we bought in 2004!!). Needless to say, we were due to replace it. I made an appointment for today. Mike called and informed me when they would arrive and he and Reid showed up exactly when he said they would. They installed attic decking from the attic door to the water heater, removed the old water heater and installed the new one. The old water heater had quite a bit of sediment in it, making it difficult to drain and VERY heavy to remove. On top of that, they installed a new kitchen faucet I had purchased. We are VERY happy with the work that was done. Mike and Reid were prompt, courteous and kept us updated throughout the process. We will definitely be using them for any future plumbing work we need to have completed.

S & B is a honest, professional and reasonably priced company! Right after the freez from last winter storm, I called to request a service. The curtious recptionist from S & B advised me to check with the city first to see if my outdoor leak was on the city side. S & B also put me on their waiting list without any charge. Before I called the S & B, I did call one other company. The other company urged me to be screened by one of their technichian and then wait in line to have my problem fixed. To be screened by the other company, I have to pay $90. I had S & B provide services three times. They all were outdoor plumbing leakage (unrelated.) The last one was a long drainage pipe under concrete and grass. Mr. Bo and his crews quickly and magically found the route of the line and the leak. They fixed efficiently and economically. Mr. Bo explained the whole process clearly to us while they were working on it. The secong project was a busted outdoor pipe. Mr. Bo advised us what type of the pipe to use in order to prevent recurring. The first project was a busted pipe with gushing water since my neighbour's workers drove a heavy trunk accross my yard. It was around 5 pm and the S & B had about 4 workers to my property promptly. They had it done efficiently and charge reasonably. Every time I needed a service, S & B is always there for me. Mr. Bo would always call first and apppear promptly. Once they came, they made sure the problem is solved and solved well. We really appreciate S & B Plumbing Inc.

They came out three times. The first time the problem was no longer apparent. The second time, they diagnosed the problem and ordered a replacement mechanism (Sloan Flushmate). The third time, the part had arrived, and they came out and installed it. The bill, including all three trips and the new mechanism, was very reasonable. S&B came out promptly to inspect the problem . I was given an estimate with a range. Very knowledgeable and friendly estimator with no hard sale. The repair was done the next day as promised. To me this was a tough and tricky job due to the location of the leak and the tree root which caused the leak. Within a couple of hours the leak was repaired and everything cleaned up. Imagine sewage backing up into the bathtub. Imagine it's at your rent house and the tenant is a bit distressed. I called S&B on a Wednesday at 1:50PM. They promised a plumber on-site at 3PM. Brent called at 2:15 saying he was on his way. He had already started when I got there at 2:30. The news was not good. Standard clog-clearing with a snake did not work. The pipe had a hard obstruction or collapse. Digging and replacing pipe was required. Initial estimate was nearly $6K. Another S&B plumber, Bo, called the next morning. He examined the piping with a camera and reported that they could replace a section of pipe up to the obstruction for ~$3K. By Friday at 2PM, the work was done, my tenant was happy, and I was relieved at the lower cost. I'm very happy with the professional service and being kept in the loop with messaging and photos of the work in progress.

I had a water leak at home over the long Labor Day weekend. I left a voice message to S&B Plumbing at Sugar Land. On Tuesday morning, I received a call back. The same afternoon Stephen Burn along with a Technician came. They were quickly able to locate the leak, isolate it, and put a plan to fix it. They were on time, courteous, and had the water heater installed in the attic in like an hour. Everyone from the office to the estimator to the service technicians all were courteous and helped me quickly. The issue was a clogged waste water line that in the course of unclogging the obstruction, it was discovered that a toilet flange was incorrectly installed when our home was built. The master plumber, Mike, explained the options for correcting the poor flange installation. I elected to have the more extensive repair performed. I appreciated the technician's concerns and presented several options that eliminated the risk. Regardless, the technician presented many obstacles and was not empathetic to my need to complete the work. I am a professional engineer who designs commercial plumbing systems. I used my knowledge to find a solution which the technician implemented. However, I wondered what the average homeowner does in the event of the plumber looking for ways to not fix the problem. My only advice is to use common sense and insist upon the plumber working harder to find a reasonable solution. The other odd experience was the technician proceeding with the work in a manner that could have caused a catastrophic failure resulting in shut down of the complex. I insisted that he stop and proceed with the work as we agreed. Once satisfied that the work could be done safely, I left the technicians and the result is excellent. I will continue to call S&B with the understanding that it's my home and I am ultimately responsible for their work.

We've had S&B out to our houses twice. The first time was to completely replace the natural gas line and set up for a meter relocation. The quote from S&B was far lower than the other two companies we called. They got the entire house re-piped in one day, cleaned up everything, and had everything set up for the city inspector the next day. We also had S&B out to our other house to replace the supply line from the water meter because of a tree root. This repair had been done just over a year before by another big plumbing company, but their repair failed. We've recommended S&B to other family members, and they've had similar, happy results.

Ross & Cody responded on-time to a leaking outdoor water faucet. Because the original faucet wasn't installed correctly, they had to cut through the sheetrock inside our house to reach the back of the leaking faucet, cut the pipe, and install a new faucet. I thank GOD for S&B Sugar Land plumbing. They were a tremendous blessing to my wife and I we were shopping for a 50 gallon water heater. I had spoken to a number of plumbing companies, anywhere from 5-7 companies maybe 10 companies. They all seemed somewhat comparable in price and provided the same or similar services. After narrowing it down to 3 companies , S&B was the last company to come out and do an inspection. The lead technician Richard after inspecting the heater and location asked me why I was getting a 50 gallon water heater when I presently had a 40 gallon water heater. He was the first and only technician to ask that question. Incredible professionalism. Incredible consultative selling. Richard went on to ask what was the main reason we were looking for a water heater. After more fact finding he narrowed it down to the shower in the master bath , was not providing sufficient hot water. After looking at the shower fixture he explained that the settings were not adjusted at the correct setting. Richard adjusted the setting and the shower was providing hot water. We have not purchase a water heater yet but when we do S&B is who we plan to buy it from. After talking to a number of plumbers , one who is honest, professional , competent, trustworthy is worth their weight in gold. When you get one like that it could make things a lot simpler. S&B plumbing came out when I had a leak in my closet ceiling from an old pipe. They were professional, responsive, and, last but not least, trustworthy! I had a local handyman come out earlier that day that wanted to charge me in upwards of $1200 to replace the pipe and cut a huge hole in my ceiling. The plumbers were great. My only concern was that I was told they would be there at 9, not sometime between 9 and 11. Sierra clarified and the guys did great work so it all worked out. I would use them again.
