Had main sewer line to road completely clogged up on a Sunday afternoon HUGE mess in basement with clogged toilets and Rafael was there within 20 minutes of my call and fixed everything as he said for the price quoted before work began. Explained what and why he was doing what he was doing very well.

Rafael is great to work with. I had a water supply line leak between my water meter and my house that required whole line replacement. He brought with him a great water line excavation crew to get the old galvanized pipe removed and replaced with fresh copper line with minimal impact to the yard (just 2 access holes to pull the old line out and snake the new line in). The water was down for ~2 hours and the whole job including excavating and recovering was ~5 hours. Impressive work!

I recently had been looking for a plumber for a kitchen drain clog and clean out. I found Rafael “The Drain Medic”, by searching Google. I read his reviews, which were excellent. Being as he was local and close to me, I gave him a call. He was probably on another job at the time, but his voicemail said he would return a call within 15 minutes. He sure did. We talked about the problem, set up an appointment for the next day, and he called before he arrived to let me know he was on his way. He is a very likable and friendly person. He assessed the problem, explained what needed to be done, gave me a price for the job, before he started. I was satisfied with his price, and that he made things clear enough for me to understand. He began the job, and not very long afterward the drain was cleared of the clog, the water was running freely again. This is the first review I've ever written for a plumbing company, although I've needed a few. I had an issue with my main drain along time ago and the guy who eventually fixed it did the job at least. This time around I used The Drain Medic and the plumbers name that came out was Rafael. He was a respectable, highly knowledgeable, hard worker with Finess! Whether I have a recurring issue from tenants flushing baby wipes down the toilet or I need Major work done, after today i will only use them....if friends or family need work done I will refer them. Firstly, I had a CLOGGED MAIN DRAIN!! After some online research, I chose Rafael for two reasons: Prior Reviews & Small Local Businessman. That said, I was not disappointed. Two weeks ago I called Rafael regarding some flooding I was seeing in the basement. He was able to come the very next day in the morning and immediately figured out it was a main sewer line clog. This is my second time using Drain Medic.The first time was the day after Thanksgiving,(clogged kitchen sink),I was calling around several companies Drain Medic was the only one to respond with same day service.Rafael let me know ahead of time what needed to be done,and got it done right and quickly for me. This time I called Rafael I had a washing machine drain needed to be plumbed in another room.He did an excellent job! I highly recommend and would use Drain Medic again!!

Rafael saved my basement! I have only lived in my house for 3 weeks and this was my first major problem. I called him really late at night b/c there was water coming from a drainage pipe! He returned my call within 10 minutes and was at my house before 8 the next morning. Turns out I had half a bag worth of tree roots clogging my sewer line. He explained the whole process as he was working and was sociable at the same time. I was afraid of the cost, but it was very reasonable for the work done! I would highly recommend him to anyone!

My drain line connecting that connecting to lateral from my upstairs bathrooms and kitchen was blocked by some object. Called Rafael after not so satisfactory experience and resolution by another company. He showed up on time, thorough in his investigation and found that the problem was ice blocking the drain after recent cold weather. He suggested just waiting it out and use space heater and salt as necessary to hasten the melting and don't waste any more money. He followed up later to check the progress. Problem was resolved 2 days later

Called Rafael at 7 am because our shower wasn't draining all of a sudden. Turns out something fell in the drain hole as I was cleaning the shower out (not a bathtub style drain). Snaking the line didn't work and I was about to call a plumber who would have to tear down the ceiling in the basement to get to the pipes. Rafael encouraged me to let him try the air gun and POOF drain was cleared. I wish I knew what fell in that got stuck but thanks to Rafael the drain is clear!

my name is Harry Mcatee I am an East Hartford resident of over 40 years I called the drain medic for a clogged main drain I spoke to Rafael for a few minutes about my clog problem and he was at my residence within an hour to take a look at my clogged drain.he took a look in my basement to see where the problem was and went over with me what he had to do and the cost for his services witch are very fair.Rafael is very experienced at what he does and goes over what he is doing step by step with you.he was done within an hours time unclogging my main drain of about 2 pounds of tree roots that had entered through one of the drain pipes seals.Without a doubt I recommend Raphael the Drain Medic
