Clay replaced a furnace valve. He is a good man, hard worker, skilled and polite.
I am very happy with him and HARP. Yesterday they explained that they might not be able to find the part due to the age of my furnace. I told them that we've been freezing for 3 days and I have babies in the house. They in turn put a big rush of search and rescue on my job and found one somewhere and installed it Pronto. It works great. Everyone is happy! 😁

I was very pleased with service from HARP. The technician, Chris H. was excellent. He was a wealth of knowledge. I finally feel like I understand my heating system! Hopefully, he can come by and explain the new system to me when I get one! The availability of quality technicians during this challenging cold spell was priceless. Even though we had to be rescheduled, I found the company's organized scheduling system to be very good. The detailed invoice was also excellent. I will use HARP for my HVAC needs from now on. I really did enjoy the service I received today. Chris Hanson the technician was very friendly, knowledgeable and did a wonderful job on cleaning my furnace. He explained what would be needed in the future for my furnace. He didn't try to play the games of pressuring my husband and I to purchase a new furnace right away. He was honest in letting us know how staying on top of maintenance would be all we would need for now. It's really rare to find a company that truly believes in servicing there customers with professional service and honesty!!! It's because of that reason my husband and I will be enlisting the Harp Home Service as our new place of business. From the service tech Dorian to the sales rep Shawn to the 3 install techs, Walter, Antonio, and the third I can't recall his name our experience was top notch. Dorian did a thorough check to be sure we had a cracked heat exchanger so we weren't replacing furnace without confirmation. Shawn was very easy to work with and gave us all the options available including 0% financing. When the installs guys came it was discovered we needed to have a scuttle hole retrofitted as access to our attic is small and too tight. Within an hour carpenter was there and gone an hour later having left absolutely ZERO mess despite cutting through plaster in wood lathe. He hung and laid down plastic and did a beautiful job. Thanks to all the crew that came out and got our system installed in such a timely and professional fashion. Would recommend 100%

Had Joe and Aaron come to my house to repair a leaky kitchen faucet. They quickly diagnosed the issue and provided excellent advice. They informed me that my faucet was under warranty and recommended utilizing the warranty for a replacement. (Which I am in the process of doing) In addition, they identified a few other issues with the sink and provided me with a very fair and reasonable price to replace the faucet and perform minor repairs around the sink. Highly recommend these guys, and I am looking forward to having them replace the faucet when the new one is received.

This was the second time that Joe came to our home to fix a plumbing issue. He quickly identified the problem on both occasions, explained what he could do to fix it and on the second occasion ordered the parts needed and was back in a few days to fix it. The plumbing issues have been the only time we have called HARP and we were very happy with the service on both occasions. Lance was here from 6:30 AM to 11:00 PM removing an old boiler system and installing new. He did a superb job providing me with a neat, well organized installation in what is a very difficult, very confined space — virtually a closet. He met the challenge brilliantly, locating the LPG boiler, piping and shut-off valves facilitating future maintenance. It was a long and difficult day for him so his tenacity and workmanship should be highly commended. It was a project extremely well done and I greatly appreciate him and Rohan for giving me such quality work. Lance’s and Rohan‘s professionalism is rare so I want to make sure they are recognized for their technical skills and dedication to quality.

Update to my critical review of a few days ago (below): I received a call from HARP and they rectified the situation quickly. Apparently, a system error; but that doesn't matter - what matters is their quick response and addressing the problem. Back to 5 stars.

I have been a HARP customer for 12 years and within the past 3 years have bought a full HVAC system from them. Up until 2022, service has been stellar. Now it's terrible. Service calls are cancelled, no call backs, and service performed last year was sub par, requiring multiple visits to fix their mistake. I am switching to a different vendor.

Showed up on time gave me two options one with a membership or one with out and the deals you get with having the membership pays for itself. It wasn’t a cheap job but they had my furnace up and running in a matter of minutes, great work good employee who knew what he was talking about very reliable. I will be using them from this point on as I took the membership.

I had a great experience with the service technician that came to perform some maintenance on our heating system. Steve Ungar was absolutely great. He invited he to watch him perform the maintenance. He explained everything he was doing and why he was doing it. He explained it in a way that I could attempt to do it myself if I wanted. He was genuinely a really cool guy, we talked the entire time he was here. We talked about the vhs collection we still own and will never get ride of lol. We talked about life, business and future goals. The dude was absolutely solid!! I would totally recommend Steve!!

I hired Harp services to repair my HVAC system prior to a horrible sub-zero cold snap recently. Not only was a technician at my home within two hours, but upon reconciling the damage as being a bad blower motor, the technician personally drove to pick up a new one. Unfortunately there was a problem with it overloading the system, but with no problem that same technician came back the next day and stayed at least an hour to ensure it was properly fixed. He then thoroughly explained the situation to me as well as discussed any of my concerns. If you can request a technician from Harp, then I cannot recommend Dorian Eady highly enough--he is professional, personable, and truly an expert in his field. At a time when we needed him the most, he really stepped up and took care of me and my family. For that I will never be able to thank him and/or Harp enough!

Great work on installing a new heat pump to replace one of our old AC's which stopped working. HARP expedited the job for us during a hot period of early summer. The time frame for having an estimator at our house to price systems out, to completion of installation was only 5 days, and the install itself only took 1 day. Crew was professional and hard working.

The service was absolutely amazing. Mark came to fix a valve on my toilet and he was done in 20 minutes or less. I then noticed there was still a small leak in the basement as he was leaving and I ran out to get him to come back and he did with no hesitation. Come to find out this leak was not associated with what he just fixed it was a separate issue. He gave me a quote and even though we won’t do that service right this minute. We will in the near future and it will definitely be with this company. Great service. I highly recommend them

Our heat stopped working despite the boiler only being two years old. Our technician could have just blamed the control board and moved on, but something didn't sit right from him so he traced one of the thermostat wires along the basement ceiling and discovered it had broken at a join. The thermostat wiring is old and brittle in our house but I never would have thought to check it.
One freshly stripped wire and a wire nut later and our heat was responding to the thermostat again. Great problem solving. Also just a personable, easy to talk to person.

Had a water leak coming from A.C. unit and I called HARP on Saturday morning and was informed a technician could be out on Saturday between 2pm and 6pm. Jaime informed me that it was $89 for service call and $25 for fuel charge and HARP does not charge by the hour but by the job. At 12pm I received a phone call from HARP dispatcher and i am told that the tech finished up his job early and would like to come over to our home, I informed her that we were not home, she said no problem we will see you at your schedule timeframe. Dispatcher called again at 1pm and asked if tech could head our way and I said yes, we were home. Courtney came out and arrived at 1:45pm, was very professional, personable, clean, wore slippers over his shoes, uniform was sharp looking, wore a mask, provided me with some great helpful hints, turns out I needed I condensate tank pump. He replaced the pump, took the old one away and paid for the part and service. I later saw on HARP website that they offered military discounts, so I called and spoke to a wonderful person named Debbie. I explained that we had just paid for service and was wondering if it was too late for HARP to provide the military discount, she said absolutely we can. She sent an e-mail to HARP billing department and asked I be credited 10%. I have to say little shocked at all the negative reviews. My experience was 100% hands down.

My air-conditioning stopped working. I booked an online appointment. I received two email confirmations followed by two text confirmations saying that the appointment was for today between 8 AM and noon. After Receiving multiple confirmations I rearranged my schedule accordingly so that I would be available for the appointment. I received a call at 9:27 AM (day of the appointment/ halfway through the time slot) saying that they do not have this timeslot available and they then tried rebook me. Avoid at all costs.

Technician Matt LaCroix was excellent. Quickly diagnosed and repaired issue with AC compressor. Walked me through some potential service needs with my aging system and advised on best course of action for longer term. Compressor failed on Saturday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised to get a Sunday morning appointment with no emergency up charge and more surprised to have a knowledge and experienced technician show up and get system working so quickly. Excellent job by Matt and HARP.

On the coldest day of the year our furnace stopped. Our local company said they had a two week wait! I googled reviews and found Harp- who I was not familiar with. The call rep was very nice and showed concern. Within 15 minutes the manager called to fully understand our need and he juggled staff to help us. Matt was on his way. We couldn’t believe the excellent customer service! Haven’t seen this type of professionalism in a long time. Matt explained what he was doing and why- he taught us things we could do if this happened again, he got everything going, checked and tested each thermostat and zone. One of the most knowledgeable and helpful techs we’ve ever had in 40 years of caring for our homes. Chris was our HARP service tech- outstanding!, professional, honest, very competent, and articulate/ he explained everything. Chris identified the a/c unit problem related to a miswired thermostat replacement last fall by a plumber. A/C now running great, while he was here we had him also perform the annual servicing too. We then commited to a annual serving for a/c and furnace as the promotion offer was a great value. I should mention HARP got our unit serviced within 28 hours.

We said fine, he showed up 5 minutes later. Very pleasant and outgoing. We told him not to bother with the booties, since it was dry outside, he was going to wear them coming into our house. These guys are incredible. I am a new first-time homeowner and wanted to have my furnace checked out before heating season. I have nothing bad to say about my experience with HARP. Are they cheap - no. BUT, they are reasonable, fair, focus on customer service. The experience started with my salesman, Mike Hounshell, who was not pressuring and very tansparent and reasonable. He and the company really worked with me and stood by their guarantees. I received a text in the morning of the install and was able to track the technician. Chris and Ali completed the install of the furnace and air conditioner in no more than 6 hours. The install looked great and the cleanup awesome. Ali reviewed the system with me and the company was on the phone scheduling completion of the work in the afternoon. I'm now warm and waiting for the next February snow storm this weekend!!

I called Harp for three items; plumbing repair, HVAC service plan, and a quote for a tankless water heater. Vincent McManus arrived on-time was very polite, professional and personable. He checked the areas I thought needed repair and explained why no work was required at this time - this saved me LOTS of $! He also went through the provisions of the HVAC service plan and signed me up for the AC and Heat plans. Finally, he spent time assembling a quote for a tankless water heater replacement to my water heater. He did a nice job and answered all my questions.

Everything was done well! Randie was the Harp professional that did the heat maintenance. He arrived on time after HARP called to say he was on the way. He promptly got to work and spent time with doing the maintenance of the furnace. A part was in need of replacement shortly so I had him take care of it on this visit. He gave me the cost of the job prior to doing the job. He had the part on his truck so he was able to promptly take care of the replacement. I was glad he did it and when all was finished I paid him and he promptly emailed me a receipt and a detailed analysis of the furnace. He was professional and very polite. He was great and the service was great. I will note here that I had first called HARP a few weeks prior to this visit due to a humidifier issue which is attached to the furnace. They came out promptly the next day after I had first called them late in the day the prior day. That technician also was great and took care of the problem promptly. I have also set up an AC check-up for this spring. I will also be using them for my plumbing needs. Glad I have them. They were recommended to me by my neighbor and others on my street have them too and are happy with them as well. I have had other companies prior so I have been able to compare the results of each company. This company is a keeper!

Tech Brandon was at my house 10/19/2022 for response to my call to check my water tank unit. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. There was no specific issue, but wanted him to confirm unit was okay. I wasn't sure if light flashing was a problem, or okay. Brandon listened to me, answered all my questions, and did a complete review of the unit to make sure nothing was wrong. Gave me great information on what I needed to watch for and advised all okay. I've been a Harp customer for 8 years now and have never had a bad experience. Everyone I've ever spoken with has been courteous and helpful in every way. We have been very happy with the service technicians that came out to do maintenance and repairs. They are always on time, respectful, knowledgeable, and friendly. However, we had a new boiler installed and had to have technicians come back because the install was not done correctly. The error caused an electrical issue which caused the heat and hot water to stop working after a few weeks. We also had a quote done for additional work done around the same time and the price was double the price quoted from other companies. I am fine paying more for quality work, but in this case, I was not impressed.

Scheduled a routine heating service about 45 days ago and this afternoon I received a courtesy call that Harp has too many Emergency calls to do my routine heating service this coming Wednesday and they asked to reschedule and the earliest opening is in February. Guess I need to find someone else.
UPDATE: Harp did respond to this review. Chelsea, who was very polite, called me to try and schedule a service for 12/16, which would have been great. I wanted to confirm with them that I had a gas-fired boiler with radiant floor heating and now they tell me they do not service this type of equipment. Still in search of a new service provider.

I wrote a whole review that vanished -- trying again. I called HARP a few hours after getting my 101 year old mother home from 11 days in hospital. Two hours later I find the furnace is not working and the house is cold. I was totally panicked. It was long after hours for HARP. About 45 minutes after calling and asking for help I had a text letting me know who was coming, and showing me a photo of who to expect. THAT was outstanding on it's own. Zach came and had things up and running in no time and explained services that we could use in the future. He was professional and polite and didn't try to tell me I needed huge furnace repairs (which someone else had told me a few weeks earlier). He just found the problem and fixed it. And explained to me exactly what had happened and how he fixed it. I am a fan. Have a problem? Call these folks. I am passing their name on to anyone who needs service. Hard to find good people! I requested a quote for fixing an obviously broken bolt under an old toilet from HARP through Angie's List and immediately got a response and a request to call them with more details. I called and they were very responsive and had a plumber available to come the next morning. Chris arrived within the time window and was wonderful. He was very friendly, professional, very knowledgeable and gave me all the possible options for fixing my toilet and the prices for each going in (not completely knowing what he'd find when he removed it). He didn't try to sell me at all on any extras, but answered all my questions. In the end, I decided to have him replace the 30-year old toilet with a newer, less-likely-to-clog and more water-efficient one. Chris removed the toilet, fixed the bolts (2nd one was not in good condition either), put in the new toilet, and cleaned the area so the bathroom looks better than when he arrived. I couldn't recommend him any more highly, and if all of HARP's employees are this good I will never go elsewhere. Thanks, Chris!!

Follow up: yesterday I had another gentleman out for an estimate on a new gas conversion. He was wonderful, stayed here for 3 hrs. Let my crazy cats purr all over him. it was a $15,000 job. But I never felt pressured. He understood everything I said and gave me his best advice. He ended up leaving without me signing anything and never once had any type of attitude. I feel bad but 24% interest I just can't do .

The technician himself was great. Very knowledgeable. Very helpful. I had called in on 3 separate occasions to make and adjust this appointment. All three women who answered the call, over the course of a week, gave the same answer to my question "what is the total cost of this visit, aside from repairs?". Their unanimous answer?
"$98 - covers the entire visit, it's not an hourly rate. Should you need any parts, there will be an estimate offered". And just like so many others who have left negative reviews, I was completely surprised to receive a bill of $198 and a very surprised technician who assumed I would know that this is my total. I was given the reasoning of "the difference is the diagnostic fee, we always charge a diagnostic fee". He truly seemed to have no idea (or is a very good actor) that the girls on the phone are giving everyone the wrong rate. THREE TIMES. The whole purpose of the visit is to diagnose. So to charge $98 for a visit fee and then another $100 to 'diagnose' is just another way that your company is trying to get over on people.
I wasn't inviting him over for coffee. I made the appointment for a diagnosis and I was told "$98". I feel bamboozled, I couldn't refuse to pay him. He was standing in my living room at 11pm. I then had to sign on the iPad stating that I agree that NOTHING he did is covered under any type of guarantee. I asked him to explain. Basically, if the air conditioner he was playing with breaks and collapses in my ceiling, he's not liable at all. What?? Who does that??
So I will never use your company again, because now I can't trust anything anyone says. Also, since I think it's only right to make sure others are not taken advantage of in this way, because we all work very hard for our money when we own a home, I will make sure if anyone asks me, I will tell them what happened. Honesty is the best policy. Shame on your employees.

We just moved to our new home in Bloomfield, CT. Within the first month the HVAC malfunction. We called HARP and the made room for us as an emergency. Matt LaCroix from HARP Home Service did a fantastic job to repair our HVAC. He thoroughly inspected the unit until finding the cause of the problem. Not only he repaired the problem but per our request, he also inspected the rest of the system to ensure no other issues arisen later. Turned out a faulty thermostat was also in need of replacement. Matt explained everything he did very well and we were able to understand and felt reassured that the work was done properly and the cost was reasonable. HARP has helped me twice now. I used them because my Dad always used them for his central air. I called the first time because the air conditioning was malfunctioning. They sent someone out and were extremely helpful and honest. They told me what they estimated repairs to cost before they started work and they made sure I felt comfortable about each fix throughout the whole process.
The second time I used HARP was to fix a leaking toilet. They were honest and gave me the quote to fix it. Instead of pushing for a fix, they suggested buying a new one (because it was actually cheaper). I loved that they gave many feasible options so I could make an informed decision.

I had a completely thorough consultation and then the crew arrived as expected and did an excellent job in installation. The notes taken by sales were followed and I was consulted on where to place the new system outside. Not only did they install and clean up but they took out unnecessary equipment that was associated with my old system. They noticed that my UV light was out and indicated they would have someone stop by in the next day or two to replace the bulb at no charge. Finding a good technician is no easy task, so I just want it to be known that if you choose HARP, always request Zach Elflein for service because not all technicians are created equal. I'm big on customer service, quality, and competence and this gentleman (Zach) possesses all of them. Zach is a very well rounded technician and even better human-being. Zach takes pride in whatever he does and it clearly shows. For example, my boiler was acting up and Zach never gave up on it until the problem was fixed, unlike many of the technicians who came prior and tried their hand it. And he noticed issues that actually needed attention and he took care of them without hesitation, which many other technicians have simply ignored. Furthermore, Zach always arrives with a smile and an eagerness to solve whatever is going wrong with our high efficiency boiler. High efficiency boilers can be very difficult and frustrating to work on, but Zach has the intelligence to solve whatever is wrong and works tirelessly to make sure that the issue is resolved in a timely manner and that the customer is completely satisfied. And Zach never takes "shortcuts" and prides himself in doing the job right. I simply can't say enough about Zach. He's an amazing technician
As for the company (HARP) specifically, some areas for improvement that I have found are their lack of in stock parts, which requires weeks sometimes to receive. And giving the customer an update and letting them know the status of the parts estimated time of arrival would be appreciated. Furthermore, their phone system is a "crapshoot" because there are times that I've been fortunate enough to connect to helpful representatives very quickly, but then there are times that I've waited over an hour on the phone for a representative that was of no help. Additionally, their prices can be a bit high, so be forewarned. And finally, weeding out their bad technicians would be in their best interest for customer acquisition and retention. In a nutshell, HARP may not be the best company in the business, but I will always be a HARP customer as long as Zach is employed with them. Zach is an asset to HARP, or to any company for that matter, and I hope he is recognized properly.

(I say seems because it was too cold to fully test the AC). The only negative about the install was a medium size pile of stone left by where installers parked their truck.

My heat went out in December. Furnace wouldn't turn on, getting cold in the house, 60 degrees and dropping, temps dropping into the 30's overnight. A friend referred me to HARP and I went with the first referral I got. I was told they would come out the next day, but they sent a tech, RIck within 2 hours. He advised furnace be replaced. It was only 13 years old ! What? I had no idea furnaces have a 15-20 year life and would cost around $8,000 ! Ouch. But I was cold and working full time as an essential worker in hospice during COVID and didn't have the time to do a lot more research. The salesman, Will arrived at 6pm the same day and the installers Juan and Sameer arrived at 7:30 am the following morning and were done by 4pm. They were great ! Funny, warm, kind, respectful, confident, professional. A pleasure having them in my home. Two other friends of mine confirmed they also have used Harp and were satisfied. All references said Harp costs are at the high end but they worked with me and while I think they were still high, for the expediency, efficiency, consideration, warmth and professionalism, policies, and reassurance, the use of technology for customer comfort, safety and satisfaction, their immediate response and installation without the hassle, the premium was worth it for me. And....I'm warm. Furnace is whisper quiet and cranks out the heat. I can keep my thermostat lower, seems quite efficient.

Well. The above and beyond service of the many individuals involved was fantastic. One guys built a great customized wooden frame for my new air filter access. Another member of the team even helped my mother in law with a big root she was removing in the garden as he walked by. Great crew from top to bottom, i reached out to 10 different hvac companies to discuss options on replacing a hydronic baseboard heating system in my daughter's house. Some places were "too busy" and a few set appointments, Harp was the only company that actually showed up. The estimator was on time and quite knowledgeable. We spent a lot of time discussing various options on fixing what was left of the existing system to all out replacement. Not once did I feel rushed, pushed in any particular direction, or talked down to. We ended up deciding on replacing the baseboard heat with a forced hot air unit. After deciding on forced air, I opened the flood gates on him and asked to add a/c, a new water heater, and a 200 amp electrical upgrade to the quote. Doing everything at once saved a good amount of money. I decided to go with Harp when he sat on the front step an put the quote together right away and the price was very reasonable. The electricians, the plumbers, the ductwork guys, and the installers were all great. They were professional, clean, courteous, accomodating, and all around a pleasure to work with. I think I will be calling Harp for all my future hvac, electric, and plumbing needs. I highly recommend this company.

My entire interaction with HARP was one of the best I've had with any service provider, right from the first phone call to the conclusion of the project. My "comfort advisor" Matt was always exactly on time, was attentive in his review of my requirements, and was thorough in explaining exactly what was needed and what would happen. On the day of installation, the crew showed up right on time, had all the equipment they needed, and finished without any major surprises. They were also patient in the explanation of what they were doing, and at the end about how the equipment works. I'm not an HVAC expert but the end result looks great and the supervisor clearly understood the manufacturer and local codes for installation. The crew was also amazingly polite - every person I interacted with introduced himself, was courteous and friendly, and was cautious about not leaving a trace behind wherever they passed through.

First - I hate posting reviews. Second I am probably a PITA to work with as an owner because I like to watch these guys work and ask a ton of questions - but HARP as a company has earned it my review. Yesterday I had the tech Dan A (service tech) over to finish an AC set/up install done earlier in the year. He was great. I mentioned a whistle noise in my duct work that had shown up with the install of the new system - and he without hesitation, hunted down the problem and fixed it. In terms of dealing with HARP, I have been a customer since 2005, and in all that time, I have noticed 2 things, first: There has not been a single tech or install guy who I would not want to work on my system again (ALL professional) and ALL speak pretty highly of HARP as a company, and of the owner Kevin M. In this day and age when more and more employees are treated as disposable - that means a lot to me. On a related note - earlier this year, when I was having my system replaced, there was an issue with the configuration of the new system relating to adding a second zone that came up, where initially I felt like was going to end up with on the losing end. My fears were unfounded. As soon as the issue was fully assessed, they stood by their original quote and price and came up with a solution to overcome the problem - and I am loving the new system. (A second shout out to Anthony M. on the install team, who stayed into the evening until he identified an intermittent problem and made sure it was going to be corrected... ). Again my compliments to all.

I remain a customer because of people like Matt; someone who is knowledgeable, skilled and works well with people. I hope he is appreciated because he is just great.
(December 2021): Winter service to heating system; Chris was excellent and was neat and respectful and all seemed well. However, I don't recall them reminding me to set up a "winter" appointment and was shocked to learn that they had already done bookings for A/C systems so that I was going to be later in the schedule in the spring. They have gotten very big and corporate. I used to like that they were "local" and that you could reach the then owner with questions. I am watching other reviews but so far my recent folks have all been good).
(July 2021): My system was just "dead" on Tuesday night. I was a bit disconcerted that the policy of rapid support had changed but, that said, they actually got Kevin out very quickly (and by the next day!). Kevin rapidly found the issue (thank goodness it was not a major failure requiring some hard-to-obtain major component) and he proceeded to check and deal with the issues, explaining each step to me so that I could understand and manage going forward. I remain a happy customer because of the quality of the staff... and he even had to do this with a truck that was not his own! Success due to skills both in his work and communication skills.
(2021): Wow! Another great technician who is friendly and polite and very knowledgeable. He arrived on time for my AC maintenance, explaining all he did as he went along. I learned about my system and appreciated his thoroughness. As in the past, MUCH appreciated!

After our furnace died after only ten years(!) the Sunday before the recent snowstorm, we were scrambling to find a different company we could trust to install a new (and better quality) one. I used Harp Home Services for an AC Tune-up. Matt seem very educated, answered all questions I had, showed me the results for each step, and allowed me to follow him throughout the process. I knew I could trust this company when he showed me my coils that were all rusted. I honestly was expecting a sell pitch, but he said don't worry it could be normal, he would have to check the pressure. In the end it was ok, but did have to replace a capacitor which he was able to do on the same visit. Even that he didn't sell me on, he showed me the results, explained the options, and allowed me to choose. Towards the end of the visit he gave me tips on preventive measures to follow and maintenance that I myself can do to prolong the life of the system. I would definitely recommend HARP HOME SERVICES

Update - August 2020 --
We had a drain pipe that was leaking and with HARP now offering plumbing services, we decided to give them a try. We also had a $50 coupon from an email promotion. When I called to schedule service, HARP's phone representative stated that their plumbers trucks are fully stocked; I had described that the link was from one of the main cast iron pipes in the basement. Joe came over to inspect the issue. . He laid down on the floor to try to see if he could examine the pipe up close and had me run water from our kitchen and first floor bathroom. He saw that the pipe was leaking, but was not able to determine the exact spot of the leak; together we thought it was one section of the cast iron pipe. He came up with 3 possible solutions to repair that would be done sequentially. The job would require parts that he did not have on his truck and the help of second plumber. I called HARP after receiving the estimate for the 3 possible scenarios and the job was scheduled for the following week. On the schedule day, Joe and Vincent arrived exactly on-time. Joe explained to Vincent the scope and he concurred with Joe's approach. They cut out the old 4 inch cast iron pipe section and in fact it did have a break when they were able to examine after removal and being able to see the bottom. They installed a new section which required jack hammering the cement where the pipe had connected to the main pipe leaving the house to the sewer; this was needed for the fitting/connector. The total job took about 2 hours and now some 72 hours later we don't see any signs of a leak. The only issue that we had was receiving proper credit for the $50 coupon which we had been told was on our account, but apparently wasn't. This took several calls to HARP and a request to speak with management who did call back later in the day to confirm it had not been correctly applied to the job; we did receive a credit to our credit card.
We've had HARP service our furnace for several years now and they have always spent the time needed to do an excellent job on the annual cleaning. Last year they came out next day for service on our central AC whereas the dealer we had purchased it from only had availability some 3+ days later -- 1st heatwave of the season. The reason for 4 Stars is that they changed the terms of their annual maintenance program to be somewhat less inclusive and lower discounts offered on parts.

Called Harp when I had a busted shut off that caused some flooding under my sink. Harp came out first thing the next morning and evaluated the situation, finding a few other leaks and valves that needed replacing, which was expected in our old house. The quote I got from them was much better than the other plumber I had take a look. Chris didn’t pressure us to do any work we didn’t need, unlike the other guy. He worked with the town to make sure our water was off for as short as possible as he knew it would be inconvenient with two little ones running around. The work done was quick and high quality and he was super friendly and professional. Highly recommended.

The came to remove my solar water heater system and install a new indirect water heater system. and I was happy with their work. What went wrong though was the manager. They gave me a quote and I offered them the job. and on completion of the job, the manager did not offer me the $250 discount the had told me. Meanwhile it was on my quote. He said to me to forget as if the $250 discount was not offered. I end up paying them because my wife did not want me to prolong the situation.

A rough start but a smooth finish. After it was discovered that the company did not have a ladder tall enough to reach to change my A/C filter, and after I provided them with my own ladder, it was further discovered that the company does not stock my filter size. So I ordered the correct size filter on Amazon, paid for it myself, again provided my ladder, and the company returned to install it. HARP Home Services LLC recently added Plumbing Service & Repair to their available services, I found out about this when I called to schedule a routine annual Furnace & AC Tune-Up. The technician assigned, Chris, was GREAT. He was patient with the explanations of all the things that needed working on, he developed a detailed Options List which, for some of the issues, included different kinds of solutions to choose from, which was very useful. He worked quickly and efficiently, and was cheerful the whole time he was here. He adhered to all necessary COVID-related guidance, wore shoe covers every time he came inside the house, and when he was finished, gave detailed demos of all the fixes done. I'll definitely ask for Chris the next time I call HARP for something plumbing related.

Hi, the new Central Air unit to replace old one was installed and tested. They were unprepared to replace a copper line and used the old one. Once we mentioned it in spring when it was time to use it they promptly came back installed ply wood in attic so could reach it and replaced all the copper tubing as the contract dictated at no extra charge. We are very happy and enjoying the cool air !
Hi, This was the 4th visit for our new Central Air unit.
The problem was hard to diagnose and luckily the Tech saw it while here.
Due to trying to use materials and wiring from the old system by Harp installers this was the 2nd time we had this issue.
Techs had to replace wiring this time with new wiring, and system seems to work as expected now.
We shall see. Very frustrating when new install costing thousands does not work well from the Start.

Our AC was not pumping out cool air properly, the tech identified the issue, the AC unit cooling fins over time built up layer of dirt, acid washed the fins, and the cold air temp dropped 15+ degrees.
We have signed up for the yearly maintenance agreement the experience was outstanding.

HARP is a very good company. We had them install a retrofit home air-conditioning system 20 years ago and have used them every year for regularly for the annual maintenance. This year, maintenance man indicated that a number of the components were showing their age and would probably need replacing soon. For example, the compressor was drawing excessive electrical current above the acceptable range. They also showed pictures of the components which showed corrosion. So, I met with one of HARP's sales representatives and selected a new system for installation. It is a more efficient system with enhanced features over my old one. We scheduled an appointment the next week and the system is now installed. I am very pleased with the results and am looking forward to another 20 or more years of comfort.

I had an issue with my boiler for 2 years since another company came out and "fixed it". They did come back out at least 4 times but in the end I think they just gave up. Mike from HARP came out for a winter tuneup on my boiler. I told him the issue I had. I left him to do his work. He said he was all done, gave me a printed report on the issue, and lo and behold he fixed the issue! It was a really aggravating problem I had that I didn't think was solvable. Also it was fixed under the $99 tuneup special they had running. Just a great, well done job.

Although at the time of our discussion there was no longer a need to conduct business with HARP, I felt that single star originally provide should be changes to four stars. In addition, in the future if such a need develop, I would have no issues in contracting with HARP.
Very disappointed with their advertisement relating to 24/7 emergency service. Call Sunday 7/26 early evening to make an appointment and no one ever got back to me. Call Monday 7/27 to schedule an appointment. Call center provided a time frame on the same day between 10 to 2. Received a call ten minutes telling me that they had to canceled the appointment and the earliest they can schedule is for Monday 8/3, seven days later. Not sure how they can advertise 24/7 emergency service.

Hello: Barry seemed to know more technically about my Goodman Furnace, than the last technician. He managed to problem solve where this loose 8" white wire that was inside the bottom of the furnace belongs, which controlled the blower fan in the ductwork. Once connected, the blower fan worked perfectly to send the heat up to the next level of the house.. When we go through the PMI for the Condenser in the spring, I definitely would like to get Barry back. He's a great asset to the HARP Home Services Company. Regards, Lee

We had our boiler & water heater replaced. We got a quote, on a Friday night, the same day we found out we needed replacements. The job was completed the following Tuesday, within the time period specified. We are very pleased & impressed with the equipment & the installers who completed our installation. My experience with HARP recently getting an estimate for installing a cooling system in my home was by far the best from the 5 other companies we had come out to give us estimates. Joey Crespo listened to my needs, was attentive to detail about the little aspects of the project along with the project as a whole. My electrical panel is full but Joey noticed and asked about a certain circuit breaker for porch heat that we actually don't use which he could use for the AC. He also listened to where we wanted the ductless head installed and was able to work that into his plans. Joey also said he would give me an estimate that night, was not able to but followed up with an email explaining why and to expect the estimate the next night which was exactly what happened. My wife and I just put the deposit for the install, and are looking forward to working with this company. if you are in need of services HARP provides, I highly recommend having them come out to give you an estimate to experience for yourself their level of customer service. I will follow up with another review once the install is complete.
