Mountaineer plumbing was excellent, my water heater went out yesterday. Today I gave them a call at 7am to come out and look at it and by 10:30am I now have a new water heater. Tim was very polite and professional and worked in a timely manner, the work was affordable and they offer financing. I had a very pleasant experience and will use them again for future plumbing needs.

I have no idea what plumbing prices go for, but I feel these guys are expensive. There was a leak in my shower handle and faucet head. I tried to replace the cartridge myself, but it was buried behind tile to replace the whole handle, and I couldn't replace the cartridge as no one had any idea what generic handle was used when this house was built. I gave up, used Google, and called around nine different plumbers. These guys answered the phone when the first eight did not. And could come out right away! The price, which out of respect for this company, I will not give out. But it seemed insane! And literally became hundreds! of dollars cheaper when I supplied (already purchased) my own valve for $100. That being said, they were able to fix it immediately, cut a hole behind the shower and covered it with a plate so I can access it in the future, and no more leak! Everything is great, the plumber was knowledgeable, and I guess the price was worth getting it over and done with. They say you get what you pay for, so at least know, you do get quality from these guys. And timely service. Now I hope I don't need them again for sometime. Thanks guys!

Requested service and was responded to immediately with the date and time I was looking for. Everything was scheduled and set within 30 minutes. Tim came out and was very professional and even suggested helpful hints for other small issues he noticed outside of the service he provided. He installed a new sink and was able to complete the service in the least invasive way possible, which was amazing as I was prepared for a big job. He was in and out within a few hours. We had called another plumbing company we’d used before and they said it would be three weeks to send someone out. Mountaineer sent someone out the same afternoon I called. Mike did the estimate and repair job on the spot in just a couple hours. Price was under what another company had quoted for the same job a couple years ago (we opted not to have that particular repair done at the time, but it could not wait any longer). Mike was friendly and efficient. He explained everything clearly and did not pressure us to choose a higher-priced option, which I really appreciated. All around great experience.

Joshua and Landon were great in helping clear out my drain blockage of my main sewage drain. They were quick, professional, friendly, and they went above and beyond with cleaning and advice on maintenance. Prices are a bit high, but there are times where the level of service you receive is worth the cost. This was one of those times. They also worked with me on the cost. Definitely would recommend.

Outstanding service. Wonderful experience! I called at 9 AM to report my plumbing problem and to check availability for a technician to come out. Joshua showed up by 10 am! Upon arrival, Joshua was extremely polite (asking before he walked anywhere in my home and always putting on his red booties over his shoes when he walked in from outside). It took only seconds into his explanation of the problem to realize that he was extremely knowledgeable. He’s clearly an expert plumber. He went above and beyond to explain the issue in terms I could understand. He shined the flashlight on areas to show me where the problems were and even sent me pictures. He was happy and friendly, while working quickly to resolve the issue. I would absolutely recommend this company and Joshua, specifically.

My technician Joshua B. was fantastic. On-time, professional and very knowledgeable. I had one minor issue (leak under kitchen sink), that was easily fixed. The second issue was more involved and he was tenacious in chasing down the problem with unconventional plumbing lines in my older home. Found the problem! I highly recommend this company. They are fantastic.

Expensive. They are professional and quick, however I was quoted on 5 to 7 hours labor for a water heater install, which the guy only took an hour and a half to install and do everything. There was no change in price because of this, and I am aware what a 40 gallon water heater cost. So I paid $3,000 to have a maybe $600 water heater installed with an hour and a half labor with an hour and a half labor. Most places are half the cost. I'm not real thrilled that they don't adjust the cost by labor... But I suppose that they did work a weekend and they did do it quickly. So if you're on a budget, this probably isn't the best company to use but if you need something done quickly they're very responsive. I did not get an invoice that is broken down by line items which include cost of parts and labor.. But that's probably why they just give you a fixed cost and don't adjust ...it was done quick and good.

I was dealing with an ongoing pipe issue underneath my house for around 3-4 years. After dealing with 2 different companies the issue still remained. We decided to try Mountaineer after the problem arose for a 3rd time. Josh was sent to my house for an assessment the very next day and immediately had a few ideas as to what the problem could be. He throughly explained the problem to me, why it kept happening, and how he could fix it. Josh and Mike Brown returned the following morning. During the 2 hour repair they constantly made sure I was aware of what was going on and answered all my questions. The issue is now resolved. Mountaineer was easy to work with and extremely fair. I felt like they did a thorough job and didn’t rush the work unlike my experience with previous companies. They wouldn’t leave until I was satisfied. I will be using them again in the future!

David was very professional, polite and ontime. He came I thought to replace my garbage disposal, good news he showed me how to reset it and now it works fine. He did replace the pipes due to a small leaking. I also had him replace my shower head. Went from a single head to a double head that I had bought from somewhere else. I think I'm going to love the double heads. Very nice they give a discount for senior citizens.

Wow! I had a stressful couple of days. DTE turned off my gas and locked it until a leak was take care of. Understandable but stressful. I called Mountaineer I’m distress and they had me on their books for the following morning. What a relief already. David Brown came into my home and never gave up trying to help me. I appreciate his patience SO much. He was adamant that he was going to help me today. And when the job got confusing and tough, Tim Kelley came in and helped David get the job done. I was blown away with the timeliness, professionalism, and honestly just caring about the fact that I was at a total loss. The reviews are accurate! Tim came to my house, honored the discount I found online, and cleaned out my drain that was backed up. He was professional, super quick to arrive, and worked hard. I got very lucky; just had a toilet paper clog that broke up with the camera scope. Tim didn't try to BS me about needing additional services. But if the scale buildup (which is present a bit) ever does get worse, or the tree roots become an obstruction, I'm definitely calling Mountaineer again.

I called Mountaineer Plumbing and within 30 minutes they arrived on site. They spent time meticulously finding the source of the clogged toilet and chased it down to the main sewage line. They found that tree roots were clumped up on the edges of the pipe, barely allowing drainage. Before moving forward, they respectfully presented me with three options with the pros and cons of each. I chose to water jet the line from the road back to the house. They rocked it! A pipe that was nearly clogged at five foot intervals from roots and openings in the clay tiling, was clear and free of junk. Finally, Tyler and Landon spent time cleaning up the work area. They even scrubbed and cleaned the carpet in areas that were exposed to the mess. I was not the best customer as I was quite weary of paying to have the issues resolved. Tyler and Landon were patient, kind and respectful through it all. I would highly recommend the Mountaineer Plumbing team! ————————— The comments above were for the first time that I worked with Tyler and Mountaineer Plumbing. Since then, I had the pleasure to work with Tyler and Mountaineer two more times. (Each time was a different property) The most recent time, Mountaineer Plumbing answered my call at 9 PM on a Friday night and by 8:30 AM the next morning, Tyler was out to solve the problem. Tyler walked me through each step of the processes as he tried to diagnose the cause of sewage backing up into my basement shower drain. He explained the problem very well as he tried to fix it with the simplest tool first. We ended up with having to water-jet the main line to clear it of solids and tree roots. Tyler did a phenomenal job! He was professional, kept a clean work area, and diagnosed the problem quickly and accurately. I would highly recommend Tyler and the Mountaineer team!

It was a bunch of work, involved excavator digging in the front yard and installing a drain access while clearing our massive toilet paper clog. I called Mountaineer Plumbing to repair a pipe, and that resulted in my hiring them to REMOVE and REPLACE ALL the hot and cold supply lines in the basement of my duplex. I liked that Matt didn't charge me a 'mileage penalty' for coming to estimate the project. Matt is the owner of Mountaineer Plumbing, and he also worked as on-site project manager on this job. I have attached a picture of one of the supply lines from my 1924 duplex, and you can understand why I wanted to replace all the lines. My tenants were complaining about water pressure issues, and it was time for a capital improvement, an investment in my property. I'm very happy I called Mountaineer Plumbing. Matt brought the project in for the estimated price ... no jacking up the price or complaints. I can't stand when plumbing technicians start whining about problems they encounter on a job and how the original estimate didn't include any additional work. What can I say? Mountaineer Plumbing finished the job as scheduled, even mopping up the floors to leave the basement work area CLEANER when they arrived (I've attached a pic of the basement floor AFTER they cleaned it). The cost of the project was reasonable considering the amount of work involved, and now I am a happy landlord and two sets of happy tenants thanks to Matt and Mountaineer Plumbing. Highly recommend!

I found a cracked drain in my basement. Roto Rooter wanted to charge me $4,500. I called Mountaineer because they did a great job for me about a week prior with my water heater. They came out within about a couple hours of me calling. For much cheaper than Roto Rooter, they were able to fix the cracked drain (including jacking up concrete), fix some piping under my sink that was not up to code, AND give me a drain cleaning. It was all done same-day, except for the drain cleaning, which they did the following morning. I also had a home warranty company that was a bit of a pain to work with, but with their help I was able to get the max reimbursement under the warranty for cracked drains. Would recommend. My only complaint is that they didn't have a Mountaineer Plumbing magnet to stick on my fridge. They better get on that!! Photos of the new plumbing is attached. I've only seen prettier pipes on my Church organ!

We do have drywall repair, but that was to be expected. We highly recommend Mountaineer Plumbing.

I was getting ready to catch a flight in the morning, and suddenly my toilet tank started to leak badly even after i shut off the main water source. I made a decision to switch my flight to the next day betting on I could find a pumber with the same day. The plumber I used to.do business was unavailable until 2 days later. I googled to find Mountaineer Plumbing willing to help me They understand my urgency and with an hour or so they set Noah to me. He diagnosed the cause for the leakage and offered 3 solutions at 3 price points as well as made his recommendation. It sounds reasonable to me He also offered aftersales service Once I agreed with the terms, he quickly went to work and replaced the leaky toilet and the tank with a brand new one. I was able ,to relax and back on track to my trip. Noah was professional, courteous,and efficient I was very grateful for his responsiveness and efficiency with good quality work. Colton and his associate were extremely punctual, knowledgeable and went above and beyond my expectations. As a courtesy, he even patched up a hole in my foundation from the outside that contributed to my frozen/burst pipes. I was impressed. They found and repaired the burst pipe, thawed out all frozen areas and got my water flowing again!! Plus they ran a heating line and insulated my pipes. They even took the time to look at my toilet and made some suggestions on a repair/replace. He also worked with me on payment as I needed at least a day to transfer funds. Thank you so much guys!!

But their was a minor problem with the installation. I called and again they were here bright and early to resolve the program. With NO Additional charges. My sump pump failed and they were available for same day service, were here within an hour, and went above and beyond to service my house. The pump had to be replaced and the pit was very dirty - Mike and Danielle cleaned it out the best they could and removed several inches of mud and debris from when the house was built on top of replacing the pump and making sure it worked well and drained all the water from below the house. The repair was expensive but I think for the parts and labor and everything they did it was a very fair price, and it saved me thousands in potential damage to our finished basement. Their service was exceptional and I would recommend them to anyone who has need of their services. They are very knowledgeable and happily helped educate me throughout the process. I had an unexpected flood in my laundry room last night after my main drain clogged up. This morning I had to call about 10 different places before I finally got through to these guys that were able to come very quickly after I had called. All other places were unable to make it to my house same day. Whilst working to unclog my main drain they discovered my bathtub was also leaking. They were able to unclog the main drain and fix the leaking bathtub all at the same time while they were here! He assessed the situation cleaning out the pipe from my washroom to the street quoted me a price of $250 which I felt was high in comparison to a previous bid. I advised the tech of my previous bid told him I would be willing to pay $200 he contacted his supervisor was approved and I paid the tech at the completion of his job. I was quoted a price of $1580.00 to replace the trap to our shower. I was told they would need to go through the ceiling below where the tub sits. I was told it would be about an eight hour job. So I thought 8 hour job at $1580 was reasonable. However as the job was getting underway I told them I put in an access door to the pipes so the job would be much easier, it only took 2 hours to complete!!! With that taking place I was sure the cost would be adjusted. It wasn’t. I asked to speak to Mike who was the plumber and I was told no! I asked to speak to a supervisor over the complaint department and was told no! The cost for the pvc pipes used? Probably $75.00-$100.00. A part under warranty was needed and ordered. Part was received two days later (on a Saturday). Called Mountaineer early Monday morning and a service tech arrived within about an hour. My shower head had a slow drip and wouldn't shut off. I called Mountaineer Plumbing. I was really impressed they were able to fit me in right away. The technician was polite, he was able to locate the problem quickly. He approached me with the malfunctioning piece in his hand, informed me that it was an older system and that he would need to locate the part. The finders fee for the part would be a $150. The option I was given was pay the $150 or he could put the faulty piece back in... Well, obviously I don't know anything about the inter workings of a shower or how I would locate said part...so, I felt I had no other options. I authorized him to go ahead and locate the part. He left and came back with the part and told me that the part also cost $150!!! He did fix the leak (I am thankful), but I was certainly not prepared that morning when I picked up the phone that it would cost $525 to fix a leaking showerhead!
