I highly recommend this company. I hired them in an emergency situation where the gas company cut off service based on leaks discovered. The company made all appointments on time both for the estimate and the work. They bid a fair price given other companies I believe took advantage to price gouge given the dire situation. They were very knowledgeable and worked cleanly and efficiently given the job at hand. They had my tenant unit operating in one day and finished the building in two. They replaced all gas lines to all appliances on two floors in a building over 100 years hold without causing any damage anywhere. I was greatly relieved that I found them in a difficult situation for me.

After searching Online to find someone to fix my gas leak, I went through at least 3 of the top Companies. The first one tried to charge an arm and a leg and the other 2 just didn’t even bother to show up.(bad business)That’s when I found Steve and his crew.I called him, he came right out, gave me a reasonable price, came the next morning,did an outstanding job and cleaned up afterwards. Hands down the best out there. Very happy that I found this company. After calling several places for estimates this company stood out above the rest. Steve was very knowledgeable and helpful when speaking both over the phone and in person. My mother had a gas leak in several places in her basement. She spoke with Steve and set up an appointment for the next day. Steve and his workers arrived promptly at the time promised and were able to test, replace all affected sections of pipe, and re-test within the same day. The prices were very reasonable. Steven and his crew were great! We had a small gas leak in our basement and after the Gas company did a quick patch job, we called Chicago Gas Leak Repair to come over and give us a quote. Steven was punctual, friendly, and communicated clearly what the issues were and how he and his team would resolve them. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - CALL THEM! Steve was by far one of the best professionals I have ever contracted for work. He was responsive, timely and his pricing was very fair. Other companies wanted to charge me hundreds of dollars just to come inspect, in addition to the cost of the repair. Steve was up front and fair about how simple he thought the issue might be, therefore the cost would not be high. He was right, in the end, it cost a third of what others quoted as a minimum. Steve was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond. He and his partner were precise, organized and thorough. I called him to inspect a gas line and he ended up completing the set-up of my fire pit for me, as well. They did so very quickly. Steve responded quickly after hours on his own time through google. Prices much more affordable than competitors. Very knowledgeable, honest, listened and understood my issue and went the extra mile doing extra work and not charging more after initial price was quoted. Identified my problem quickly and installed new coated lines in location where I will never have a problem again and installed new gas hookups for dryer and stove and new elbows and main lines. Showed up when they said they would and respected my time. Was surprised they came all the way over the border to Northwest Indiana from their Chicago location. It has been a while since we’ve received such quality and professional work. Had PeoplesGas shut off gas and was back and running with a serious repair made by Steve and Chicago Gas crew under 24hrs, was a bad leak at service entrance near meters. Chicago Gas Repair was the most professional and responsive service i have ever used. I had a gas leak from previous appliance installation, and within 5 hours of calling they were out by my house and had it fixed. When our "go-to" fireplace company discovered a gas leak in our fireplace, they estimated a costly repair which couldn't be done until after Christmas. After calling two other companies (both unable to provide service before Christmas), I happily found Chicago Gas Leak Repair. The owner, Steve, welcomed my call, gave me a reasonable estimate, and sent workmen to my home the next morning. Anthony and Jose were professional, courteous, skilled and efficient. They clearly communicated the issue and found the least intrusive and least expensive way to solve the problem. When the job was completed, Steve even knocked off a chunk of his original estimate because he said the repair was easier than expected. I think that shows great integrity. Chicago Gas Leak Repair showed up, totally told me up front, the perimeters of the cost, exactly what needed to be done, and approximately how much time it would take. They were very respectful, on time and trustworthy. They cleaned up after themselves. They completely re-piped our whole house that is about 69 years old with mostly original gas lines. Their bill came in a few hundred less than the high estimate! They put in new duct work for the dryer. NICOR came to check Chicago Gas Leak work out before putting the gas back on. I’m in the process of having a lot of work on my older condo unit. Steve & his partner were on time (unlike many others I’ve experienced) & very professional. I had quite a few questions & Steve very patiently answered all of them. I asked his opinion on many other issues I’m having (unfortunately not just my gas piping) & he was extremely generous w/his time. They were hard working & very efficient. Steve did an excellent job guiding me through the entire process, starting with the estimate and concluding with a very well-explained summary of exactly what had been done. Super affordable, fast and efficient at they job. People gas had shutdown supply after a leak at my building. No residents had heat or hot water so I called these guys for an emergency repair. They showed up in the next 30min, found that I had a bunch of leaks but it was past 5pm so they couldn’t fix it. The next day 7am they were here and did an amazing job. They are very knowledgeable of the city code and had brought my piping up to code and my gas is back one now.The most impressive thing was that I told them that my gas bill was high this month and they went extra mile to find that people gas reading on my bill was wrong for which I’m getting credited on my next bill.

It was a pleasure doing business with such a competent and helpful company. Their aim was to solve my problem which was to find out why my natural gas grill didn't work and to replace 2 shut off valves. Turns out there was water in the line due to a failed leaky underground pipe and gas was blocked and couldn't make it to the grill. They put in 2 new shut off valves and a new pipe above ground through a brick wall closer to grill. Even made sure patch outside matched the brick and checked my grill to make sure it worked. Who does that? They cleaned up meticulously and explained why they needed to do what they did. I really respect a business that has that attention to detail and is well trained and professional. I am so happy that I chose them to fix my problem. They went beyond what they were required to do and had a great work ethic. They are now 1st on my list for solving any future problems I may have.

Steven and his crew from Chicago Gas Leak Repair came out the morning after a gas leak was found in my building. Mel(peoples gas tech) said Steven worked at People's gas for about 10 years and he was a solid guy! The CGLR crew found multiple leaks in the basement on both meter pipelines, also in the ceiling of the second floor. I didn't know there were unused gas pipes in the ceiling dating back to when the house was built(I rent). The decommissioned pipes were connected to the electric line to light gas fixtures when the two flat was built. CGLR walked me through all the leaks in the basement, explaining the difference in gas leak bubbles, repairs that would be made, and an accurate timeline. They replaced the old pipes and made all repairs to pass inspection the same day. Gas was turned back on and inspections passed by 9pm that night.

I cannot boast enough about the service that Steven, Anthony and 1 more gentlemen (My apologies) provided. After walking into my house where the plumber left my gas on for 5hrs and Nicor came out and cut me for safety. I did a google search and found Chicago Gas leak Repair. I called and spoke to Steven and he was here within the hr. He went to the village with me to get registered to perform the work and the permit was expedited. The next morning the work was started and they stayed until the inspection from the village was done. My last thing of the day was waiting for Nicor to restore me. This group was amazing!!! I called after People Gas decided to shut off my gas because they detected leaks. I called CGLR and Steven answered quickly and was responsive to my needs! He can out within a couple of hours to assess the situation and gave me a very reasonable estimate of the repairs. The crew came out the next day and made all necessary repairs properly, professionally and communicated throughout the repairs. I would highly recommend CGLR 100%. Though won’t be disappointed!!! When I bought my first house I did not think I would have a bad experience so soon. Two days after moving in we felt a very strong smell of gas, the gas company turned off the supply and asked me to find a contractor to fix the problem and do A pressure test to find all the leaks. With all the stress of the problem and without knowing anyone who could help me, I searched on the internet and found CHICAGO GAS LEAKS REPAIRS, I talked to Steve and he very kindly explained the process to me, first thing on Saturday morning he and his brother were at my house working to find the problem and that same day he showed me where the leaks and gave me a report with what had to be fixed and the price. On Monday I changed all the gas lines and that same day I had the cervice back. excellent work, fair price and above all very professional and friendly, 100% recommended, thank you very much to Steve and his team.
