What started as just De-clogging three sinks became de clogging the shower tub (all the stuff backed into that drain), and then into a pipe repair there. These guys had problems that popped up thanks to the prior owners of this house and they handled each without issue and all in house too (no need to call in backup). Speedy service for the amount of work they came in for (and a lot more work than what I originally intended). Third time using their service and this will most certainly not me the last time I will call them (I hope no time soon), and all done before I had to leave to the hospital.

Had a pipe burst after a deep freeze here in VT and used Roto to come repair the pipe. Once fixed the technician, Seth I believe, noticed another leak I hadn’t that would’ve devastated my house and took care of that as well. And even turned around after leaving when I found another small leak. He was professional and saved me a much bigger headache later on by making sure nothing else was leaking in my house instead of just what I called for. He was polite and understanding and very efficient. To top everything off I was charged a more than fair price for the repairs. I will definitely be using Roto in the future thanks to this employee.

Electric water heater started leaking. I had to call for an emergency plumber. Shawn drained the water heater tank so that it wouldn't flood the upstairs bathroom and drip water thru the ceiling into the first floor. Shawn is an excellent plumber.

Efficient and came out next day. Plumber nice and very qualified. Negative aspects include equipment dirty and did not lay tarps on my wooden floors to place dirty snake hose and equipment. Got grease on wooden floors. Previously rotor rooter had been meticulous with equipment . Know they are short handed but hope they will resume high standards soon.

Corey arrived at our house at 6:30pm on a 90 degree day. He was professional and efficient and very patient in hearing about the efforts we had been making to try to fix our slow kitchen drain ourselves. We had resorted to wet vacuuming the sink each night by the time we called Roto Rooter. He not only made our drain work better than it has since we moved in 18 years ago, he also offered advice about which soap products can contribute to the problem in the future. The guys who came to fix the leak were very polite and professional. The whole thing took just under half an hour. The price was way too expensive though ( which is the only reason I'm giving 3 stars. $400 plus the cost of the pipe that needed to be replaced which was around $78. I contacted Roto-Rooter for quotes on installing a vent for my bathroom fan and replacing my water heater tank and spoke to a friendly and very responsive woman name Alliyah. When I was ready to move forward with replacing my water tank, Alliyah was awesome at getting me on the schedule as soon as possible and gave me details on pricing and what to expect for this service. The plumbers who came out were also very friendly and completed this service in a timely manner. They even checked out a few other issues i was having while here and recommended another local contractor to help with another project I'm interested in doing. Overall, I'm very happy with the people I interacted with at Roto-Rooter and with my new water heater tank. I would 10/10 recommend!

I called rotorooter, and a polite lady has picked up the phone. She asked me what the problem was and offered me the available time slots. Before I called them, I called another plumbing office in Essex and left a message, and the other busniss did not even bother to call me back. While rootoroter picked up the phone and tried to get me the help I need. Before the appointment, Roto-Rooter called me and told me that the technician is in his way . Seth showed up on time geared with his tools. He was very professional he quickly discovered the problem and cleaned the pipes. Not only that, but he also redesigned the whole drainage system for the two sinks, so it will not clog again. He was very fair, quick and professional. They were very friendly and cleared the drain without issues. In and out in less than an hour, accepted an online coupon, and very reasonably priced! I can’t say enough positive things about the crew at Roto Rooter!! Buster, Danny and Dana were some of the most professional people I’ve ever worked with and just all around genuinely good guys. They excavated and repaired a broken sewer line and found and repaired a leaking water line. The fix was done right with minimal down time. Before leaving they returned the excavated lawn to better then it was prior to their arrival. A broken sewer line is a miserable experience that I wish hadn’t happened at all. The only positive I found out of this was the people at Roto Rooter. From the first calls I made after the initial problem to the speedy and professional service I received I can’t say enough positive things!! I would’ve have given them more stars if that was an option.

They were extra carful and precise to keep the hole as small as they could. They took the extra step to even help level out my garden with the top soil they brought after they were done. We were very impressed with Roto-Rooter's service. We did not have an emergency, but they were able to send a technician within hours after I called. Corey was courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. He gave us an immediate quote for service required and then was able to clear our clogged washing machine drain pipe within a half hour. We used Roto-Rooter once before about 20 years ago for a clogged drain pipe, and their service was excellent then. They remain excellent years later. We would certainly recommend them - and use them again.

Shawn came to my house last week to fix a leak in a bathroom sink. He was upfront in explaining what the cost would be and the likelihood that he would be able to fix the leak, given my description and the type of faucet we have. He went to the effort of driving to several local stores before he found the necessary part (cartridge), and gave me the box / part number so I could find it myself should the same problem occur in our other sink. He installed the part and the sink hasn't leaked since.

I moved into a newly purchased home and there was an offensive odor that was making me sick coming from the utility room. I called a few local plumbers, but no one was available for at least 4 weeks. A friend suggested I call Rotoscoped Rooter, as she had a great prior could of experiences with them and so I did. The operator was very friendly and professional. I was able to schedule and appointment to take place within 24 hours. She made sure I got a courtesy call when he was on his way. Cory (Kory) was excellent. He arrived promptly and figured out the odor issue within ten minutes, one that a home inspector, someone from the sewer department and a few others could not determine. He fixed the issue and I no longer have sewer gas emanating throughout my home and I am slowly getting better. I had home check on a couple other items and he fixed those or explained about those too. The pricing was reasonable and I felt I could trust his expertise. I'd gladly call Roto Rooter in the future, if needed.

It was a Saturday and our tub and washing machine were both clogged. Our tech Robby was wonderful from start to finish. He engaged me on the phone to make sure his visit was necessary (to prevent us getting a service we didn't actually need). Once he arrived (within 25 minutes) he immediately began to ask questions and determine the best and cheapest way to resolve our issues. He was very upfront with all pricing. Cory tech 35 was wonderful. very kind, neat, took time to explain everything, efficient, cleaned up any little spill, found a pipe he thought was not correctly installed - fixed it. polite, and when he left around 10pm, looked at me and said remember to close your garage door. The only way to describe my experience is amazing. No one wants to find their sewer backing up into their home. I researched on the internet before calling but they answered on my first call and the young lady who answered the phone was so professional and empathetic. The young man, Corey, was a trooper! He discovered a bigger problem than just a clogged drain and scheduled a crew to come out in just 2 days. Then Buster, Danny and Russell showed up as scheduled and they were nothing short of angels. Buster is a teacher at heart and he took the time to explain everything about my septic system to me. Danny and Russell were terrific, hard working, great personalities and Russell made a special friend in my dog Ollie. These guys worked so hard and then they went beyond in helping me and I’ll never forget their generosity. Professionalism is important but even more they showed real depth of integrity and character that is not often found. I have confidence that the job was done right by these guys...not all heroes wear capes, sometimes they show up in a Roto Rooter truck!

I had a problem come up in a house that I was cleaning. It required same day attention. The labor rate was on the pricey side, but for emergency service, I was willing to pay it. The choice of available parts for immediate installation was somewhat limited and more expensive than I would have wanted. However, Corey got the job done and the homeowner was happy. I also spoke with Craig (owner? manager?) who explained that I could have supplied my own parts to keep the cost down, but that would have canceled the Roto-Rooter guarantee. Overall, Corey was capable and efficient, and Craig was sympathetic and helpful. I will probably use them again.

We had a major problem with our septic system. Corey found the first clog quickly and cleared it. He then helped dig up the D box, cleared it, and found the original installers had cracked the cover of the D box. He let us know that if we had followed the advice of another company we would have ruined our leech field and had to put in an expensive mound system. Corey was knowledgeable, easy to work with, never complained and had no problem doing the work involved, even though it was a hard job on a hot day. His advice and service got us up and functioning smoothly again, at a fraction of the cost we were expecting.

He spent several hours, called the City for us, and was incredibly knowledgeable. Corey tech 35 was very prompt and got the problem rectified very quickly. Frozen pipes on a frigid Friday night at 10 PM. when I called the answering service said a tech would get back to me withing the hour. Corey called in 15 minutes. Explained that he had 3 other calls before mine and said he would be there by 11PM. He was here at 10:10 and thawed the frozen water pipes by midnight. He was extremely professional and courteous and knew exactly what he was doing. I should add that I live in a mobile home and NO ONE would take on the task. so FYI Roto Rooter DOES deal with MANY issues. The price was very reasonable and I will use them again in a heartbeat. I offered to fill Corey's coffee mug and he was very grateful. He went on his way to yet another call. Corey was an excellent tech and if I need any sort of plumbing needs again I hope I get him as a tech.

John Ledbetter, the tech, called within two minutes. He was thorough and very compassionate about our problem. The copper pipe to our washer had split and we had a river of water in our basement bathroom, entry, hallway and bedroom. He came to our house immediately, got right to work, was very professional and knowledgeable. This was the third time Roto Rooter came to my condo, and once again I was thoroughly impressed with the service. CJ (tech #53) was great, he arrived early, and did his best to quickly complete the job despite his phone ringing every fiver minutes with another call. He clearly had a very busy day ahead of him, but made sure to double check the work before he leave so that he could make sure the job was complete and no other issues would arise. The Roto-Rooter expert technician accurately assessed my emergency sewer pipe problem. He quickly brought a team to replace a broken and twisted indoor sewer drainage pipe located several feet under the basement concrete floor. Buster, the supervisor, worked with his team and kept an ongoing communication with us through every step in the process. Danny and PJ worked expertly under Buster's guidance. They were all professional, hard-working, courteous, and friendly. It felt like "family" was here to help solve my sewer drainage problem. These Guys came out quick. I had a pipe burst or something in my bathroom wall. I called Roto Rooter and talked to the nicest lady. She got ahold of John, who was already on another service call. He swung by my trailer on his way back and fixed the leak or whatever it was. I can imagine this was considered an emergency and the charge was not as much as i expected. They explained the issue and what they did, and they responded quickly in my time of need. In the state of Vermont, it is hard to schedule work, let alone get someone to reply, show up, and fix the problem in a matter of hours. Could not be happier with the service i was provided, the entire staff including the owner have a very clear pride in what they do, and making sure the customer is happy. I will only call them for my plumbing needs in the future, and i would recommend them to anyone.

Robby from Roto-Rooter helped diagnose and fix some faulty plumbing we had above one of our bathrooms. He made sure to show me the issues that he discovered, and the repairs he had done after the fact. He finished the repairs in under an hour and even helped clean up the sheetrock/dust so we wouldn't have to worry about it. This was on a crazy day with lots of snow and he drove out here in a pinch. On a Sunday night, my toilets clogged and my tub overflowed. Corey came out within an hour of my call and snaked the pipes. We ended up having to have the tank pumped; he recommended a company that doesn't charge a ridiculous amount of money (which I greatly appreciated!). I have two small children in the house and he said that if I needed him to come back, to call and he would. After the tank was pumped, the toilets still weren't draining so I called him and he came back at 10 at night! He ran a hot water flush through the lines towards the house, and then took extra time to run the flush through the lines towards the leech field. The problem was finally taken care of at 11pm. I highly recommend Roto Rooter and Corey for issues like this. He was very attentive to what he was doing, and has a lot of knowledge.

I called them about a plugged drain which backed up into my basement. Cory was there within a hour and took care of the problem. He also took the time to alleviate any future issues with the drain. He did a courtesy check of all my plumbing and made suggestions. Overall very professional and I would recommend to everyone. Once he did, found that the drainage pipe was incredibly clogged through its entire length (over 100 feet), and he didn't leave until he was sure that it was entirely cleared. Once underway, he was done with the work in under and hour and clearly communicated his thoughts about the situation. He snaked 3 drains which seemed to help some of the slow drainage problems I was having. He reassured me that some slow drainage was due to high water pressure/volume in the face of reduced drainage pipe diameters and laundry standpipe height. He installed a taller standpipe which seemed to help the laundry drainage issues I was having. The repairs were a bit expensive, but I was pleased with the service and the guarantee that came with it.

Once here he listened to the situation, correctly diagnosed the blockage; used a camera to confirm its location; cleared the blockage and augured the line outside of the house to make sure the flow was adequate and that no detritus was in the line. The tech also documented a potential problem in the line outside of the house and marked the location of this in the yard. With the blockage removed, the line was re-examined and tested for an adequate period of time. The tech (Corey #35) was professional throughout his time at our house. He gave good advice on clean-up. He explained all steps clearly and confidently. Corey was patient, professional and careful in all phases of his work. You can ask for more in a service provider.

We've had problems with our main line backing up into the basement for all 10 years we've owned our home. Lately, we've had to have the line cleared every 10 - 12 mos. because of tree roots. Called RotoRooter for the first time, and they were great. Not only did they clear the line, they put a camera down there to show that it was clear all the way to the city line. They found that one section of pipe has settled and needs to be replaced. They ran a trace to show exactly where the line runs and where the problem spot is. This will make it WAY easier to deal with when it comes time to have the line replaced. Other than being a little pricey, I don't see how they could have done any better!

Our water heater went, with no notice and we had a severely old water shut off that made it impossible to completely turn our water off. We had a kitchen drain pipe clogged with years (decades?) of sludge that stopped draining altogether last week. He took the toilet off and he sent a scope down the pipes and found there was roots in my pipe. He then took care of the issue with a long recoiled thingy and put the toilet back on. This past year we had been smelling a sewage related odor coming from the basement and assumed it must be from a small floor drain the washing machine discharges in to. The nasty odor continued even after plugging the drain. Searching further to our horror we discovered a two foot long crack in the large cast iron pipe that lead into the concrete foundation, running under an adjoining room and out the rear of the house to the septic tank. It was suggested we would have to jackhammer the concrete foundation... right through the adjacent room and dig up a portion of the back yard. Trying to put this all back together would have been nearly impossible. As a first step we had Roto-Rooter pump out our septic tank. The service technician told us that the South Burlington, Vermont Roto-Rooter office run by Lance and Amber Gartner was providing what's called a "trenchless" or "cured in place" repair that did not require any digging or disturbance to the concrete foundation. It is a highly engineered process that involves inserting an epoxy coated textile liner, which is then heat cured. I researched to learn it is has been used across the US with great success (and comes with a 10 year warranty). Lance, Amber and a team of experts came out in mid January to do the work. They were organized, friendly and efficient, completing the entire effort in five to six hours. It is now mid February, no odor, no problem, and we are considerably relieved and thankful. Our new washing machine that was delivered today uncovered problems that we didn't know had been developing over the 9 years that we had our front loader. When our new top load washer was being tested by the installer, water backed up into the bathroom sink along with huge chunks of black matter. When the washer was stopped to prevent the sink from overflowing, the water drained out of the sink as it always had. I called our local Roto-Rooter. They sent two men within the hour. The men snaked the the drain from the bathroom sink out to the main line and brought back quite a collection of sludge and lint that had collected over the years. The men were courteous, they explained everything about the job including price, and then unclogged our ailing drain quickly and thoroughly. They also did a good job of cleaning up underneath the sink and the floor. This is the first time I have had an issue with a clogged drain in the 30 years I have owned my home. If and when it happens again, I will not hesitate to call Roto-Rooter.

When I asked they did extra work by 1. checking the main line , 2. snaking a toilet and verifying that the toilet is the problem, and 3 fixing a gasket on the sink p-trap.
