However, I thought the price was a little high and the selling of specific toilets felt a little too much like a sales pitch.

I want to start of by saying this all transpired Christmas Eve.I am the Maintenance Director of a Nursing Home in Brevard NC. Saturday Morning Christmas Eve. I noticed a small drip of water as I was doing my rounds ,Looked in the attic to see a water line broken.I called Benjamin Franklin Plumping of Hendersonville and within 1 hr had Technician Noah on-site fixing the problem.The one leak spiraled into 10 that first day Noah only stoped fixing when I said it’s to late to keep going we will continue when you can come back as it’s Christmas tomorrow.Noah says I will see you in the morning whatever time you want. Sunday Christmas Day Noah arrived and started repairing again the breaks continued up to 18 by the time we had to stop again due to disrupting our residents dinner and Christmas plans.Again Noah said when do you want me back. Monday Noah arrived and continued fixing until all breaks where repaired.Not one time did he complain or try to leave or do anything but keep a positive attitude with our residents and give 110% to get water back on for us. From Me and our Residents we can’t thank Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and Noah enough for there hard work and truly caring about making sure our family here had water.The best company I have ever worked with to date.

I highly recommend Ben Franklin Plumbing services. I have used many other named companies in the yellow pages in the past and was charged extremely high prices for similar work. I was pleasantly surprised to be charged HALF of what I had paid in the past for similar work and they were even courteous enough to not charge a distance fee for first-time customers. This is unheard of during a time of high gas prices, inflation, and pandemic. I also live in a mobile home park for seniors and we are very vulnerable to either outright con artists, or those taking advantage and charging outrageous pricing. So I can't say enough great things about Ben Franklin Plumbing and can't thank them enough for the great job they did here. They are very professional, did a great job in half the time others do, had everything they needed with them and did not try to charge extra for any time needed to go get other equipment, (as happened to me in the past),...AND they were in and out within an hour, and charged very low and reasonable prices than I had ever experienced. I am extremely thankful for their great job, and confidant that you can not go wrong with calling Ben Franklin Plumbing services for any of your plumbing needs.

We had an outside leak that was using a lot of water even when we were not at the house. The leak had been previously addressed but apparently the repair resulted in an additional leak as evidenced by the water usage while we were not at the house. Once I called, Philip came and immediately arranged for a crew to come the next day to try to find the problem. The crew of two actually had to manually dig down about 5 feet to get to the leak, but braved what looked like a rainy day to get it done. They found and fixed the leak with no additional cost to us. That's customer service and superior response time, as well as standing behind their work product. The company also offers a repair contract that gives reduced pricing.

Phillip, owner of Benjamin Franklin, arrived on time for an appointment with my Mom and stepdad and was very professional. They said he was easy to talk to and has a solution to fix their aged well. The well on their property has some major issues, including a bad bladder, rusted pipe, and a filter that isn’t working at all. The water is full of rust and iron and smells like rotten eggs. At this time, an estimate wasn’t given because, like most other supplies, they are having a hard time getting needed parts. I will post an update once the work is completed. It’s worth potential customers knowing that there was a misunderstanding that occurred with the first appointment. When I personally spoke with Phillip about the situation, he was kind, willing to listen, and went out of his way to meet with my Mom and stepdad. To me, that speaks volume about the integrity of the company.

Update 12/20: Richard recently worked on a water main break that left us without water for a week. I cannot recommend Richard enough. He extends the kindness and empathy you need from service providers during high-stress situations like this. He showed up on time and delivered as promised on getting our water running again. During the repair, he kept us informed of his findings and explained everything he was doing to us so that we weren't left in the dark. I plan on continuing to use Richard for all of our plumbing needs. He is a skilled and knowledgeable professional. This is the second time we have had Richard from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing come to our home and I highly recommend him! He is professional, friendly and really knows his stuff. Richard's experience and expertise allowed him to identify several details about our property that the other two companies missed. He then helped us prioritize the most important repairs we needed and offered competitive rates (the best of the 3, when you factor in the nature of his solutions and the quality of the materials he quoted). When doing the work on the scheduled day, Richard was on time, professional, efficient, and friendly. There was minimal disruption to our day (great b/c we work from home) and we feel MUCH better about the integrity of our plumbing system because we know the most qualified professional did the work. We are planning to call him again in several months when we're ready for the next project on the list. Highly recommended!

One of our pipes showed copper staining in the tub . Richard diagnosed that our water pH was too low - we have well water - and after looking at the pros and cons, we decided to have BF install a water treatment unit. While he was there, we had him look at a chronic leak under the sink (seen by another plumber twice before). He quickly determined that it was a rusty garbage disposal (that we never used because we're on septic). He took out the disposal and re-plumbed the pipes under the sink. He also determined that our faucet was leaking and replaced that. Since our house is 15 years old, and he was willing to look beyond the job we called him for, we had him look at the plumbing in our whole house. He found that a well water pressure tank was at the end of its' life and performing sub par and he replaced that as well. Finally - during the construction of our house, some supply lines to sinks and toilets were plastic and some braided stainless steel. Some of the plastic ones were deteriorating and he replaced those. We are extremely happy with Richard who may be one of the most professional plumbers we have worked with. He took the time to find out what the issues were and was great at telling us what really needed replacing and what didn't. He has a passion for his work and for customer service. It was apparent that it was satisfying for him to have repeat customers (and we will be). We signed up for the yearly inspection with Ben Franklin and feel good about that. Finally, Depspite the fact that we weren't already etablished customers, BF sent Richard out in a timely fashion. Would definitely use BF and Richard again.

My partner and I felt very comfortable having him in our home for 4 hours. I usually feel very uneasy having people in the home working on repairs but not with Jason! He was at ease with our 2 dogs (1 big + 1 small who go into guard dog mode with strangers in the home) and with our 2 young kittens. We only moved into our home about 6 months ago and it’s become apparent the previous owners took terrible care of the homes plumbing. Jason was so patient with us and our dozens of questions about the plumbing in our new home and how to best care for it in the short and long term. The most affordable option to solve the serious leak in our shower was to cut into the wall behind it but repairing the dry wall just wasn’t in our budget and when I was honest with Jason about this he got creative and came up with a solution to put a panel in the hole in the wall that would make accessing the plumbing in the shower in the future much easier. We can paint this panel whenever we want but in the mean time it looks great! I don’t feel the need to paint it immediately because it looks so sharp! And I’ve used the shower to test it out since the repair and the addition of the panel and the work is very quality, absolutely no issues! I cannot express how grateful I am that he was willing to work with us, brainstorm with us, and get creative about a way to do quality repair work while staying within our very limited budget. I really felt like Jason had our best interests in mind and was using his know how to help us out instead of screw us over. The field of home repair services is ripe with people who will screw you over and overcharge you so it was such a relief to see and feel that Jason was incredibly ethical, really cares about the quality of his work, and genuinely cares enough to help you come up with a quality solution to your plumbing needs within your budget. Ben Franklin Plumbing was literally a life-saver for me. A gas leak occurred in my home as a result of a new a/c system installation last July. The a/c company did not believe me, but when the inspector came to sign off on the new $9,000 a/c job, he smelled gas also and immediately made us exit the home, as well as neighbors, and 4 firetrucks from Skyland were there within minutes in case of explosion. Cause of gas leak was "put upon" Ben Franklin install of water heater before I purchased home. Tech from Ben Franklin came and did thorough search of pipes and lines and found a nail drilled through gas line and condensate line causing leak. BF rep did everything he could to resolve this very serious problem, wherein the a/c company did little. It was a/c company's fault. I will always use Ben Franklin Plumbing.
