So impressed with the speed and efficiency of this compounding pharmacy! My dog’s specialist, Dr. Fleming, sent the prescription over for a medication that’s no longer available, and has to be compounded. I got a call about it the very next day. I live a ways away, so they had it shipped out to me THE SAME DAY I ordered it, and it arrived the very next day! Truly incredible. My own compounding pharmacy for my human meds isn’t this fast! Thank you, Pet Apothecary. The staff member I spoke with was also very nice and made the process easy and simple. I’m glad to know we have a great resource like Pet Apothecary available to us locally.

Usually I love the pet Apothecary as they are always very friendly! Lately though it seems like it's been difficult to get medications in a timely manner. I had a prescription called in right away Thursday morning, it's now Friday at 3:30 and I have no update. I've been calling off and on the last several hours and only get an automated message telling me to leave a message to be called back. I needed these for my pet's pain management, but it looks like we are going to be without medication over the weekend, very frustrating.

This is my second pet now getting medication. Love their fast prompt service. You can pick up in person or they can mail medicine to you. Many people to help you when a walk in. Short wait very friendly service and they explain everything to you and answer any questions you may have. They have a wall dedicated to all the pets they've helped which is really nice. If you choose shipping to your home it is fast service within 48 hours or so, so long waiting for a week or more wondering when it may come. Very helpful phone service too!

Always great service and friendly staff. After our dogs medications gradually increase over the past few months, we needed to shop around. Found another compound pharmacy for half the price. Was nice having a local pharmacy being able to compound the medications, but the $100 price difference made us go elsewhere knowing our pup will be on these meds the rest of her life.

I love The Pet Apothecary! They mail my dog's meds before I have to call for a refill making my life easier and making sure Ginger is never without her pain relief. I genuinely didn’t know Pet Apothecary existed until my veterinarian recommended them. We have an elderly cat who couldn’t take pills anymore for his medication and our vet mentioned there was a place where they are able to take medication and make this as a liquid to make it easier to administer. This worked great for our cat! They are always so courteous, have the pet flavors your pet wants and you can either have them mail this or you can pick it up at their location. ❤️ This place!!!

We have been blessed being the owners of our elderly dog Boxer. He's extremely smart, funny, & caring. He honestly is as close to perfect as life will allow! Sadly, our best friend was diagnosed with lung cancer. Our vet has found one medication that gives him some relief from a deep, dry, continuous cough so he can sleep here & there during the night. But like many other people who are experiencing a shortage of meds throughout the United States, we honestly thought we were going to have to make a very hard decision. I was calling veterinarians all over Milwaukee the last 2 to days, Hoping someone would have a few pills left to give me some more time to try to find something. I've even called Walgreens & Walmart hoping for a miracle. Thank God a receptionist at My Pet's Vet gave me the name of Pet Apothecary! Not only do they have the medication we need to but they made it into a flavor that Boxer can tolerate! We are SO THANKFUL for this place! We know we can't cure his lung cancer, but we're not ready to say our goodbyes yet. We'll keep him comfortable and continue to love him with the help of Pet Apothecary! Again, we thank you with all our hearts! You guys are great!

I had no idea about Pet Apothecary existed until my internal medicine doctor had to fill our Saint Bernard prescription and they were the only place that were able to do so. Very friendly individuals, both on the phone and in person. Once the script was filled I was in and out rather quickly. The only thing I did not like was no one was wearing a mask, I get it people think Covid is a joke or they are just over it- but it just made me feel a tad uneasy but it wouldn't make me stop going there, I just will continue to wear my mask. Thank you so much for your help!

Typically, have a relatively good experience at Pet Apothecary but my last pick up left a very poor customer service taste in my mouth. Not only were there a number of disgruntled customers standing outside already but, when in got in there, the place looked like chaos. I’m not sure if COVID just hasn’t done well for them or what but they couldn’t find me in the system by last name, address, pets name or phone number despite us having been customers for years. At the end of the day, the prescription wasn’t ready to be filled anyways 🤦‍♀️ It was not a pleasant experience.

I have had a couple orders over the years with Pet Apothecary. Super-friendly people who kindly explain choices about meds, from flavors to make them taste better to your pet, to how the meds should be administered. Professional and caring people. Not a big pharmacy, but rather one that handles personalized meds for pets (examples: tranquilizers for a very nervous traveling cat, allergy meds with tuna flavor for a cat with seasonal allergies).

EDIT: After speaking with Jeff today, I feel much better about using pet apothecary in the future. He was extremely kind and took the time out of his day to call me and explain why I was experiencing issues but assured me that these would be taken care of moving forward. I truly appreciate the way he handled the situation. I have had issues with pet apothecary month after month. The first month I used them, I got my shipment with no issues. The second month, I called because I noticed my shipment had not yet arrived and I only had a few days of my dogs meds left. They told me that for some reason the auto shipment had not been turned on for my account even though I specifically asked them to do so the first time I had set up my shipment. I ended up going to pick up the meds at the pharmacy which was a huge hassle considering I am not close by. When I picked them up I checked again to make sure my auto shipment was turned on and the woman told me it was. This month (about a week ago), I got a voicemail stating that my prescription was ready for pick up. I called and asked why my auto shipment wasn’t turned on. The woman explained that they had a system update and payment/ shipment info did not transfer over. I gave her my card info and asked that she make sure my auto shipment was on for the future. She said it would be. Fast forward to today, I still haven’t received my dogs meds and I am on the last dosage. I called to check on the status of my shipment and they told me the card info I had given was entered incorrectly and that they would need to re-enter it into the system. I am not sure why someone didn’t call me last week after they realized the card info was incorrect so it could be corrected. Now I have to go and pick up the medications today which is very out of my way. After this month I will not be going through pet apothecary anymore to get my dogs medications because I can’t keep dealing with the constant issues.

We LOVE the Pet Apothecary! They have been supplying us with medications for over 3 years. Today I needed a refill rushed as my Cat just had heart surgery and refuses to take anything in pill form. My vet forgot to call in the refill in the morning. I called Pet Apothecary to check status in the afternoon and they didn't have the prescription order yet. Bob from Pet Apothecary was extremely helpful. He called my vet directly. He was on hold with them for over 10 minutes but obtained the prescription. He even took the time to research getting the medication to us overnight (We live in the Madison area). We've always been impressed with the Pet Apothecary's level of quality, and service, but today I was blown away. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Pet Apothecary to anyone who has a pet with special medication needs. Simply are the best.

I can't believe how rude a female employee was to me!! Not 1 but 2 days and in a row. I called to put in a order of syringes for my dog and was told yesterday that they would be shipped out and I would get them today and if I didn't receive them by 2pm today than call back and the order would be tracked , I said that would be fine but I would need the syringes today since the last batch had several defective syringes and I wouldn't have enough to last until Monday . needless to say I did not get the syringes as was promised so I called back and was spoken to both yesterday and today rudely and in order to have syringes for my dog today I had to purchase another box of syringes even after I explained the issue about not getting my original order, so not only did I get attitude from this place 2 days in a row I had to pay for 2 boxes of syringes just because someone was having a bad day(Not Cool)and the excuse that I got was that they were having issue's due to the pandemic.

I honestly don't know what we'd do without Pet Apothecary! They can mix up liquid medicine for bunnies! (Ever try to give a rabbit a pill? Hint, it doesn't work and is horribly stressful to an already stressed fur baby.) They can ship your pet's meds via USPS, even before COVID, and that is incredibly helpful since we're across town quite a ways. I'm so appreciative that we have access to such amazing, caring, knowledgeable humans.

The Pet Apothecary is the best place I’ve dealt with. Our veterinarian called something in to an Apothecary located in my city, very close to me, and I didn’t like them at all. Jeff and the staff at The Pet Apothecary are very willing to go out of their way to get the medications I need for my cat and the way I want them. For instance, I like the BD syringes better than the Easy Touch ones and Jeff makes sure I get the BD ones for my cat's hyperthyroidism medication. They ship very fast too. I normally get the meds I ordered the very next day! You cannot go wrong with Jeff and the staff. I highly recommend them.

Sleep deprived, stressed to the max and exhausted due to staying up all night with my fur baby. I walked in and everyone was so kind. My 15 yr old 3 lb. miniature chihuahua had almost a full mouth extraction and was discombobulated and in pain. He wouldn't let me give him his pain meds as they were in pill form and he was hurting so bad. My vet at Crawford Veternary Clinic examined him again the next morning and called in some liquid medication that would be made specifically for his weight as everything else would have been too strong. The apothecary called me to get more information and said my Rx would be ready in a couple of hours. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Mr. Jeff and your staff for caring so much and doing what you do. Definitely gave me peace of mind that I could provide relief for my fur baby that has comforted me so many times in my life.

It's the only place around where we could get these prescriptions in liquid form, sometimes with chicken flavoring, that made administering them a snap.
