Very professional. They Knew exactly what i needed to get job done. Spent only 55$ and received spot spray for carpet and furniture and also meds for The cat. They both worked great and killed all fleas in a matter of days, when the vet or the exterminator would've charged hundreds. Highly recommend for all pest needs.

I fully plan to update this in one month. That will be the point where I will actually see the results of my purchase. I will say for starters that Mark was absolutely fantastic! From my point of contact over the phone to my actual purchase in the store, he was patient and thorough in his explanation about the products I purchased. Having recently moved to Tampa from the Philadelphia region, I am still learning about all of the culprits and critters that want to set up shop in my yard. 10 months after moving into our house, this is our first spring we’re going through. Although I have both of my dogs on a very good, oral flea medication, Mark explain to me what the issues are with this products and why it CAN’T fully protect my dogs. Never once did “bash” the product that I’ve been using. In fact he knew all about it and said it was a wonderful product. He explained the benefits of that product while educating me on what that product LACKS!!!! As I said, I’ll update later but for now I really felt a need to post that I could be happier to have found this store. I considering myself pretty educated with regards to pest control....but not pest control here in South Florida. Trust me....as compared to the NE area of our country ....pest control here in South Florida is a beast!!!! Also, Mark seems like a hard working small business owner. Can NEVER go wrong supporting Local Businesses!!!!!

$65 for a small bottle of stuff you dilute in a gallon container. $45 for granular things for the yard. I had mosquitoes ants and chiggers all over my back yard. Since applying I've had no issues. I highly recommend!

I am so thankful this place is in business, the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and they have easily saved me a few thousand dollars in the last 3 or 4 years. I thought I had to tent my house a few weeks ago but they taught me how to spot treat for termites and BAM termites are gone. All it took was about 2 hours of work for me and $120 in product to save me about 2 grand. Thanks so much!!!

He is a wealth of information--don’t ask him something if you don’t want a very thorough and lengthy explanation. Also important is that his product pricing is reasonable. I had a problem with carpenter ants, I tried every product over the counter and nothing worked. I was quoted over 200 bucks by one of the national companies and also had to sign a contract. Luckily I found MR do it yourself pest control @2501 W Busch Blvd. Nice Guy, professional and very knowledgeable, he new exactly what to suggest and took the time to explain in detail how to apply it. Unbelievably the ants were gone in a day and I have not seen one since then (6 days). He recommended I use the product again in another week as follow up treatment. First, let me say I hired a pest control company so I wouldn't have to deal with the bug problem, BIG MISTAKE. Long story short I found a tick on my dog. After a month and a half of dealing with the "professional" company my house was infested with ticks, even though the "professional" company had treated my house twice, both inside and out. I called this Do It Yourself Pest Control and they were extremely helpful. I have more support and help from this company than I did from the so called professional. I am still in the process of ridding my house of these little buggers, but it is so much more under control with the help of this company and they did explain to me that this would take multiple treatments. Don't waste your time and money with others, this place is helpful, supportive and cheaper than hiring someone else to fix your problems. My reasoning for hiring someone to handle the problem was because I didn't want to be alone in dealing with something I had no knowledge in. I don't feel alone, I can pick up the phone and ask for help anytime. And I have. Great service and extremely knowledgeable. You guys have my business for life!

Had a really bad problem with gnats. Sprays and traps were not working as they always came back. Called do it yourself and they recommended this biodegradable product to add to the drain as they said it will kill the fungus they are living on in the drains. Been about 24 hours and already a major improvement. I had 2 companies come out and spray and nothing worked up until now. Thank you for your help and expertise I will recommend you to anyone I know :-)

I found Do It Yourself Pest Control on the web at the recommendation of the pest control service provider we use for our home. I called their phone on Sunday morning and the greeting message indicated they were closed on Sundays, so I simply hung up and figured I would try back during normal business hours. Within an hour I received a call from the owner asking how he could help. I told him I was just trying to check hours but learned they were closed. He told me that was not a problem, asked what I needed, and asked when I could meet him at the store. I drove to his store and he met me exactly when he said he would. He was prompt & courteous and I got what I needed, even though the store was officially closed. Talk about GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I first visited them a few years ago and it was actually after hours cause I did not know their hours of operation. I called the number on the door and he came and opened up for me and helped me get exactly what I needed. Since then any time I have had questions the workers there always been more than helpful by explaining the products and they have all did the trick. First of all these guys KNOW there stuff/bugs. Mark and his partner have saved me hundreds of dollars by getting red of my pest control company. At first the price is kinda high, but what they sell last for years. Making it a lot cheaper than a pest control company. I had a problem with sugar ants. Mark set me up with this little syringe thing to put out drops and explain it to me how it would work and other poisons wouldn't. I was also impressed with a customer a head of me who brought in a German cockroach. Mark pulled a couple things off the shelf for the man and told him this is the only thing that will get rid of them. Then he explain to the man how the poison would work and big box stores roach sprays wouldn't. If you want to save money and get rid of any and all pest, then go see Mark or his partner!

I've gone here 3 or 4 times with different bug problems. All the suggestions have worked and better than I imagined. Don't waist your money on the big box stuff that may cost a little less. You'll save money here in the long run and it will actually work.

This place saved me when I was about to be pushed over the edge by a flea infestation. They have the exact same products that professional pest control companies use but without the inflated costs. At one point, I needed more product but the shop was closed, and the man actually came and opened the store so I could get what I needed. I have read the reviews and done business with do-it-yourself pest control located on busch blvd. I have also hung around to seek advice about pest problems and watched other customers being handled.The two nasty reviews on here are a joke. The first where the customer is on the phone pricing has no idea about customer service. The "old man" is a very nice and helpful individual. He had people in front of him shopping in person at the time of the call. He could have simply refused to even pick up the phone. A person who is physically in the store buying merchanidise is more important than someone who is just pricing stuff by phone. It is a small operation that normally does not have more than one employee. Anyone who has done customer service before and is not a spoiled individual knows that it is difficult to give proper customer service to a customer in person and one on the phone. THe worker was polite enough to pick up the phone, suggest the customer come in person, explain he had customers, and give a price before hanging up. In several cases he could have simply refused to pickup the phone. Now the individual who claims that the "old man" is racist is completely wrong. He is very helpful to all races. I observed him on several occassions before I even knew about these reviews. I even questioned him about the review because it did not make sense. The response was that the customer who made the review was in the store scanning products to try and find a better deal online. I can understand scanning products with a barcode scanner in a bigger store but it is rude to do it in a small store right in front of the worker. I would suggest if you want to do pricing come in person, speak with the worker there, leave, and do pricing at home. This a friendly and helpful business but small. The size of the business is why they can offer high quality products at low.

In 2012 my father came to this location for a problem with fire ants. My father had tried every kind of Ant killer sold at Home Depot and Lowes with minimal results. On a whim we both stopped into Do It Yourself Pest Control and my Father being very skeptical bought a bag of ant killer half the size of the box stores brands. It is nearly 2014 and his yard remains Fire-ant free. I am here because of that visit to buy flea killer, and I know I haven't wasted a dollar. I have to highly recommend this place, my house is a constant mess with five children, some of them are special-needs, I never have time to clean up and it could be clean one minute and dirty. The next, we’ve had pest control service for over 10 years with Pest Bear and one trip to this place and spending what we spent in one visit with Pest Bear, and in one month time we’re nearly completely rid the infestation without having to take stuff out of the cabinets or have an immaculately clean house. This guy definitely knows what he’s talking about. He told us from start to finish exactly what to do and in just one months time we’re already almost completely rid of the problem.
