My Tech is ALWAYS 5 stars. The company itself has very bad communication skills. I don't get a response when I call or email and they just let me know an hour before he showed up so the poor guy had to trudge through knee high snow.

Everything about Orkin is great! They’re always so friendly and are able to answer all my questions. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is because they’re scheduling system needs improvement. Majority of the time we are not informed when they’re coming. Fortunately, we’ve been home when they happen to come but a 24 hour notice would be very helpful.

The Technician's are very knowledgeable about treating pest. But no one is able to tell time. Or knows how to call a customer to reschedule when a issue comes up. They just text and say they are on their way. And 2 days later we are still waiting. I call. O we are so sorry lets reschedule you for tomorrow from 8am to 10am. I call at noon and asked what going on. O we are so sorry about that. Well take your sorry's and learn how to call your customers. I understand issues happen. Techs pickup breaks down, or they have an issue that requires them to have to use sick leave and on and on. But 2 no call no shows. That's to much. If a date stood me up 2 twice why would I call for a 3rd date. It's 2022. We have technology that allows us to make phone calls. Use it.

The dispatch didn't have good communication with their pest specialist, but their specialist was kind enough to accommodate the best she could. Also I was told I'd have a inspection, a spray repellant, and hole coverage for my issue but due to the dispatch miscommunication the pest specialist wasn't informed. So the specialist is very accommodating as much as she could and I'd rate her 5 stars and the dispatch 3 stars.

Another new Tech! They give us a time to come and the day of with in the two hour time frame we get a text. We’ve been rescheduled and its another 5 days. Then we get the two hour time frame(which they actually kept) & when the Tech gets to my house he ignores the closed door to my sons room(didn't want to be bothered wasn’t feeling well, so he shut his door). I thought if the door was shut they were supposed to ask to go in!Didn't stay more than 5-10 min inside. Didn’t even check bait stations.

Nathan taught us a lot! He listened to our issue and came and sprayed inside and outside the house. Best feeling I have had since I found the little pests. I have them coming back every month to help maintain that they will not be back.. (the other bug company sprayed the whole floor and the whole carpet!! The flooring pooled with spray and ruined some edges of the flooring) Nathan sprayed just around the edges of everywhere inside but he sprayed OUTSIDE the house. All around the the house on the cement and up on the house itself, around the windows even!! Thank you for your help.. see you next month!!

We had bed bugs in one of our rentals. I called Orkin and they took care of the problem. We ended up needing an extra spray for 1 or 2 bugs and they came out. The employees were all very nice. They didn't mind all my questions, which were many. I had never dealt with the bugs before. I was very appreciative for Todd's patience. Very respectful and knowledgeable. Very satisfied with one exception, I was supposed to get a cover for the mattress but Daniel never brought it. So except for that, I would definitely call them again for any pest problems. Why have your hours posted as 6:00AM to 12:00AM daily when you don't have anyone answering the phone? Also number posted online forwards to call center that can't get a hold of local office either and can only leave messages as well. I called last Friday about mice in the walls and they said they would have a tech out to our house anywhere between 10:00AM to 12:00PM the following day. Waited around all day for the tech to finally arrive at almost 4:00PM. Once he got here he went around the house, did his inspection, and placed traps. He then informed us that he would be coming back out on Tuesday to change out traps and seal up the house. Never heard from him on Tuesday so my wife called the following day and was forwarded to the call center. Both her and I have tried calling every day this week and never heard back. Now the mice have come back worse than before and I feel completely ripped off paying almost $300 for a job half done. I will be calling someone else to do the job right. Maybe Guardian Pest control will actually answer their phones. EDIT: Since writing the review last night I got a call from a tech by the name of Greg, who did a wonderful job fixing my issue. He called around 8:00AM as soon as he saw that he had received an email about our work order and showed up within the hour. He was very knowledgeable and informative about how to go about to fix the pest issue even on my own. He took the time to go in depth on everything and went the extra mile to do what he could to fix the issue. He was extremely friendly and took time from his day off to come and complete our service order. Giving 3 stars due to original issue with phone calls but Greg was top notch and was genuinely concerned about our issue with the phone calls. He even asked if we could remember who took the calls as he was upset that they had not done their job correctly.

I had moved to a new trailer when I started noticing cockroaches and they were get worse by the day one night my daughter came to stay with me and went to go get something to drink and came back with nothing in her hands and said mom the kitchen floor looks like you have carpet and I said I don't she was like no mom it is bad there was nothing but roaches everywhere so that night I called orkin. They send someone out right away he sprayed all around my trailer and put houses everywhere and also put this tiny little dots of stuff in some places. He explained everything really well I even asked how long it would take to start working he said you will notice right away so the next couple of days I watched and yes I did notice right away so I was so happy 3 weeks later my daughter came again and then I saw one again so I was like no way how is this possible I waited till he was scheduled to come again and told him what happened and that I felt like the little houses he put everywhere were not working so he told me to call in and he would come with a stronger cimical and he did. After that I never saw another cockroach again I would definitely give these guys a call if you are tired of have your home invaded with things you don't want there they are awesome 😉

I was really having a stressed time with the pest problem and literally the Orkin Angel from above Ed was so helpful and put these bugs out their misery the customer service was A+ and that doesn't count the fact he helped replace my smoke detectors and move my stove and fridge back during my estimation. Ed was extremely friendly, thorough, and informative. He made sure to show me everything that he found and how he would fix it. He didn’t try to sell me anything extra just what was necessary. I have an issue where I will need to get some construction done on my house to fix my problem and he said they could do it for a certain price or if I wanted to find someone to do it on my own he showed me exactly what needed to happen which I thought was very nice of him. We ended up going through Orkin for the construction because of the 100% gurantee we would have through them if something went wrong later on. We haven’t seen a mouse since and that was months ago!! Okay the service was great!! It's just that what was told to me over the phone was so different, they give me a price over the phone, and then when I get the paperwork I'm seeing price, like 5-6 hundred dollars, she said that my first payment was supposed to be there special, because I said that I on a Budget it was higher than my monthly income, and then they add auto pay, with out asking, and when you're signing your name the price is covered, I got snowed by being over change!! I'm waiting on my refund so I can get the special I signed up for. What's right is right 'n what's wrong is wrong!!!

This seems to be an admin problem that leave a cloud over my experience. The termite service is very expensive. I am not sure how Orkin compares to others.

UPDATE: Finally had someone come out after leaving reviews and contacting the BBB. They did a very professional job. Getting an appointment was another story. Paid them over $1500 to remove bats from the attic. They never returned to seal up the temporary bat doors, despite trying to get ahold of them for two months now. They keep delaying, I'm sure until our "warranty" runs out so they can try to charge us for another service.

Orkin treatments are effective and their technicians are professional and knowledgeable. Our beautiful home was built in 1891 and we needed a little help getting rid of uninvited critters. Orkin has effectively irradicated termite infestation and secured our home from bats. We are going to try the outdoor mosquito/flying insect treatment. I have been using the Orkin Pet Control monthly service, along with their Termite annual contract, for over 20 years in our house in the Midwest and we couldn't be happier! When I first purchased our home, there had been an outbreak of termites in neighboring homes and I had never had the opportunity to deal with them before that. I had my home treated (inside and out) and I can honestly say that even though termites became present just 2 doors down from me, to this day, I have never had one issue of concern! Orkin monitors our traps quarterly and inspects our home thoroughly annually and I barely even see a spider! We have had several techs over the years - all prompt, professional and knowledgeable. Our current tech, Steve, has been terrific. I also need to add that over the years, I have called them for bees and wasps, carpenter ants, a BAT, and other critters that had terrified me and they ALWAYS responded to do whatever they could or help me find someone who could! Wouldn't go anywhere else!!!

Small ants inside, very large ants outside, He treated the inside of the house and the outside he said I have a major problem with them on the outside of the house. The really large black ants are carpenter ants and they are in the trees in the front yard, so they the trees were treated also. He was very informative and I liked him. If you solve my problem I will be happy. Especially for the little ants I have, and any spiders I have.

We moved into a house on Saturday that we just bought. Sunday morning I saw a mouse run across our bathroom. I called orkin between 4-5am and there was a live person there to take the call. They explained pricing (which was way cheaper than I was expecting) and said they could get someone out on Monday morning. The technician we initially were scheduled with was sick today so they immediately got another technician scheduled for the same day just in the afternoon. The new technician (Landon) came out and put 13 traps, sprayed the whole house, filled all holes mice would fit through both in the foundation and throughout the kitchen, he took a drawer in the kitchen that had the old owners food in it outside for me, he pointed out two holes that he couldn't fill with steel wool so that we could get them filled immediately, recommended cleaning products for cabinets, and looked for any other creepy crawlies that could've been here. He was absolutely amazing. I'm so thankful for this company and their standards of service. He fully prepared me for what could happen, what will likely happen, and what I can do in both situations. He also reiterated that if I need him to call and he'll be right out with no extra charge. I can't recommend them enough. If you have ANY problems with wildlife in your house CALL THEM RIGHT NOW!
