Our exterminator, Alfred, is professional, courteous and friendly. He always checks in with us to be sure we don’t have any concerns he needs to address. He is thorough while discussing what insects we may be seeing. He knocks down any webs that are present. He is always very cautious to not over treat for things we don’t need. He is very personable, to the point he knows our kids and now treats their homes!! I would recommend him to everyone, but I don't him to leave us!!

Okay so I was on the verge of cancelling my contract, I was fed up with the incompetence of the service technicians. I even complained to upper management without much satisfaction. Then I got a new tech, Austin, who asked me to give him a chance and I am very glad I did. He has done more to help solve my rodent issues than three previous technicians combined. More staff with Austin’s work ethic would go a long way to making this company a five star company. Austin gets five stars but the overall company & call center has a lot of work to do…thus only four stars at this time.

Good work on recurring service call. Completely dropped the ball on follow-up. Technician discovered new issue, gathered information needed for follow-up. Western failed to follow up, despite an additional inquiry from me. They gave assurances they would follow up belatedly and have still failed to do so.

Otherwise, we get the same "Service Inspection Report" every time focusing us to make the changes over & over again. Also, having less than 24 hours notice of an inspection visit is very inconvenient. We need more notice.

We have. been dealing with another company for almost two years after land clearing nearby caused the displaced rodents to invade our neighborhood. The lack of any real improvement and the continuing presence of rats in our crawl space motivated me to try another company. After Nathan was here for fifteen minutes I knew I had made the right choice. He offered several more control options and his inspection was much more through. He found things that were missed by three other technicians including the probable point of entry. He was extremely professional and patiently explained what he was doing and what our options were.

They take care of our large property which includes a barn and several other outbuildings. We have a box elder beetles and they have been able to control them.

Their service is good, but they never contact us prior to coming like they say they will. We have a dog in a gated backyard and the gate isn’t always unlocked so they rarely go to the backyard to service the bait stations or spray. A simple call from the service tech a day in advance would be very helpful so we know when to unlock the gate and keep our dog inside.

Marquis does a great job. However, we are not happy that the company never notifies us as requested before Marquis comes to our place. We have bait stations in the garage that needs to be checked. If we are not at home the stations in the garage do not get checked.

I utilized the services of Western Exterminators for a year at my last rental home in Portland, OR. I contacted them specifically because my mother-in-law was a long term client of there’s, specifically their maintenance plan. I had a great experience not only in terms of keeping my house pest free, but also in terms of my relationship with my assigned specialist, Paul Peters. I always enjoyed visiting with Paul during maintenance visits. He took care to ask me about the specifics of my home and made sure to devote extra attention to what were more likely to be problem area based on what I told him. I ran a small dog training business out of that house so it was important to me to have a specialist who could work around a lot of animals. I love that all of the products used were pet safe and only required a short “setting” period through which I needed to keep my dogs contained. Paul took extra care to protect the area of my home with high pet traffic so I could rest easy knowing I wasn’t going to be dealing with fleas and the like. Ants were the biggest struggle, but the maintenance plan through Western Exterminators pretty well took care of that problem. On two occasions I noticed activity prior to my scheduled maintenance visits. I contacted Paul and he arrived the same day to do an early treatment and take care of the problem. I left Oregon for North Carolina last year so I’ve not been able to have Paul. My first home here didn’t require any pest control, but I just moved into a new home that has a bit of a wasp problem as well as the potential for cockroaches. Because my experience with Western Exterminators and specifically Paul was so positive, I reached out to Mr. Peters via text and asked if Western Exterminators had an affiliate company in my new area. Paul didn’t just refer, he actually called Erlich Pest Control on my behalf, set it up for them to return my call, and even managed to swing a small discount for me. My new technician will be here for our first inspection and treatment in two days. I can’t imagine as good an experience as I had with Paul, but his recommendation is the next best thing. It’s truly rare that an employee goes this above and beyond like Paul consistently has for me. Honestly, as a small business owner, I’d give a lot to find an employee like Paul. Give Western a call, ask for Paul, and you’ll see what I mean.

We had ants showing up in different locations inside. I had contacted the office several weeks ago and was told the tech would look into it when he arrived. When the tech arrived, he knocked at the door and then questioned me about the problem. He listened to my concerns and put down traps in the areas I mentioned. Before leaving, he suggested that if I see pest problems in two weeks to contact the office and he can come back for a follow up spraying.

Sadly I have no idea what services they did because I wasn't home when they came. They were supposed to come the next day (1/28/22), according to feedback from a phone call I made earlier in the month, when we received notification that they were coming and never showed up. The service is OK when they are there when you are there and they can address any issue we have. They have to fix their appointment scheduling!

These guys are awesome. Yes, they are crazy busy and sometimes get too busy to respond quickly, but trust me they are worth the wait. They do listen, care, and respond when they know they can fully take care of the situation and give their most attention. I have had other exterminator programs before, but by far these guys totally cover the home care package we have needed especially living out in the country. Our bug guy Paul Peters was a great find. Every month he comes in and fully inspects our large 100 year old five story building. Our business can have lots of issues due to open entry during business hours, he's our man to help keep the bugs at bay. He's been very responsive and always likes to check in to make sure everything is still looking good. He's been so great he even helps me on how to control the bug problems at home. We have used Western Exterminator for years, through several ownership/company changes. Derek is the field exterminator who comes up to our house, and he is wonderful, explains what he is doing, responds to phone calls very promptly, and provides excellent service. My only complaint is the headquarters/scheduling office, who sometimes have trouble with specific requests and timing changes. That seems to have been resolved lately, so it might have been a result of some of the company mergers from the past year or so. Their prices are reasonable and their work is very satisfactory.

We have used Western Exterminator for 6 years. The technicians are always very polite and do a great job of ridding the outside of cobwebs. When we moved in , the kitchen was overrun with ants and we had spiders the size of 50 cent pieces! I don't know how they do it, but both have disappeared. We live in the country, so mice are an on-going problem, but the bait they use has kept the number that make it inside extremely small. They provided some really strong, reusable, easy to bait traps and we have tried to block known entrances. We obviously have missed at least one, but the traps and indoor bait box take care of that problem!

This company has changed hands 3 times in the last 3 or so years. It was a struggle to coordinate our residential needs to our ever-changing drivers. Mostly though the exterminators were good-listeners, courteous and quiet and did a good job. I recently cancelled all-together after my conversation with customer service. I was calling to put our service on a winter seasonal hold, which I'd done the previous past 2 years. The C.S.R. was argumentative and irritated. I have little patience for that low level of service so I decided to cancel, knowing I have many other options to choose from with hopefully better service. She put up a fight yet persisted after a couple efforts to persuade against cancellation.
