Green Pest Defense is awesome! We have a yearly contract since summer of 2021. They come quarterly to service our home giving us plenty of notice and can provide service even if we are not home. The first summer we needed them to take care of two yellow jacket ground nests and it was done same day we called. Kayla is our technician and she is very professional, knowledgeable, and punctual. We highly recommend Green Pest Defense!

I called Green Pest Defense after hours because we could hear scurrying above the ceiling. I’m the 4 years I’ve been in my house I’ve never had a rodent/critter issue, so I wasn’t sure what it was and I reached out to a handful of places. The following morning, I received a call from Brie and she was so thorough, asking great questions, and before we were off the call she had already scheduled to have someone stop in later that day to check out what may/may not be in my crawl space attic. It was a short while later I received a text from the technician, Alex, that he was on his way. When Alex arrived he was extremely professional and answered my questions, and proceeded to examine my house from top to bottom for any possible entry points. After sometime he concluded that the noise I heard was likely from the roof and not the crawl space because no evidence of anything in the crawl space, which is packed with insulation, and he confirmed the basement is well sealed. He also checked the parameter of the outside of the house and was confident that it was likely a squirrel they made its way on to the roof. To say the least, it was a huge relief that it was nothing that needed additional attention. From the very first point of contact with Brie to my interaction with Alex it was top notch customer service. They were very thorough, honest, and professional. I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again if ever I needed to use their services. They truly made this a seamless process from start to finish and I cannot recommend Green Pest Defense enough. It’s the kind of customer service you hope you get and they certainly exemplified excellent customer service!!

We have worked with Green Pest Defense for the past few years and have been so happy with the service contract we hold. Today, as a backyard project began, we discovered an enormous bald faced hornets nest hidden within a sapling on our hill. I called Green Pest Defense and Rick was here right away! He took a look at the placement and listened to my concerns about possibly harming the many bees among the sweet fern and wild blackberries with spray or powder. He immediately suited up and dropped the whole nest into a bucket to bring the colony (who themselves are beneficial pest control and pollinators!) to a new home elsewhere in the Maine woods. Grateful for Rick's creative thinking and experience, and for Green Pest Defense's partnership in mindful pest control!

I had to find a new tick and mosquito spray company this year. I called Green Defense and they were able to send someone out the very next day. So many other places had no availability or a long wait list. John came out ahead of schedule, which ended up being perfect so I could head to work on time. He was polite, professional, very informative and sprayed my whole yard in about 15 minutes. I love that they chemicals are pet safe because my dog loves to play outside. Green Pest was great! I used them for carpenter ants and they were able to come out the same day. John was my technician and he was very professional, knowledgeable, and punctual. Had wraps nesting under my siding. After trying to treat it ourselves, wasps began coming in through a fan in my bathroom so I called for help! Great customer service on the phone with Sara and they were able to provide it cheaper and sooner than another company I called. Mike came the very next day and was great at listening to my concerns and explaining the process and what to expect. He was knowledgeable about the pests, treated the areas of concern in addition to generalized treatment around the perimeter, and he removed another active hive he found in a different area, and checked out my bathroom light fixture to assure the wasps weren’t active in there. I called Green Pest after realizing we can't get rid of all the carpenter ants! Called on Monday and Mike was here on Wednesday. Wow...great customer service. We've been a Green Pest Defense customer for just over a year. I decided to accompany the service technician for our most recent quarterly service. My goal was to get a better understanding of the rodent activity outside of our home. Alex was great, he's knowledgeable, professional and very personable. While it seems the rodent activity is high outside at the bait stations, there has been no sign of mice activity inside the house. The bait stations are doing their job and we have peace of mind and confidence the mice never make it inside our home.

I hired Green Pest Defense at the beginning of the spring to try to keep out the wasps that move into my attic every season, and I haven’t had a single issue since they came out and sprayed the house! Then this week I had an issue with a colony of ants moving into my basement, so I gave them another call and they sent John out to take care of them for me! We had a hornet nest that tunneled deep into the lawn. We tried many things to destroy it but they all failed. After getting stung pretty bad mowing the lawn, we called Rick. He was very professional and took came of the problem quickly. He was very neat cleaning up the area. He did not charge us as the nest had disintegrated into the ground and there were no bees left to exterminate. Now that is great value. He was polite and very knowledgeable. I will call him again with any issues in the future. Highly recommend!

I called on a Monday and had a tech at my house Wednesday assessing and addressing the problem (carpenter ants). Mike was polite, knowledgeable and efficient and explained everything he was going to do and had done. I was pleased that the same contract for the ants will also take care of the rodents I hear running through my walls on cold winter mornings. I've used Terminix to try to address those rodents in the past. Green was immediately much more responsive (and less expensive for the annual contract).

This past spring, right before vacation, I was desperately seeking someone to come out a possible mouse situation. I was terrified and overwhelmed because we were leaving in just two days. Other places weren’t able to come out to assess the situation for weeks and would only come sooner if we committed to spending thousands on a pest plan. I called Green Pest Defense and they had John come out within just a couple of hours. I was so appreciative of the help that I sought out their monthly plan myself. So affordable and convenient! Now, any problem I have from questions about other pests, or having them treat ants or hornets— they are on it! I appreciate their green approach and knowledge with my organic gardening, too. Today, I was getting my yard serviced anyhow, so I called on behalf of my sister and an issue with chicken mites at her home. John was willing to even go out to her house to assess the situation immediately! She offered to call John right away to get an ETA for our house so we could talk to John once he got here. John called me within seconds after hanging up with the front office. Amazing! These folks have been truly wonderful taking care of this old house! Mike was here today to take care of hornets/wasps that had built nests and were terrorizing and stinging. I bought a sprawling property that had been "let go." Green Pest Defense has solved our four problems (rodents, ants, wasps and spiders) through an initial careful treatment + careful attention to my wishes at every quarterly visit + quick responsiveness to my requests for extra visits. GPD is less expensive and more effective than another very popular service I tried, because (1) GPD does not charge for extra service calls, and (2) GPD is much more willing to do work inside the home. So, I have contracted with GPD for our camp too. Every technician who has visited has been knowledgeable and extremely pleasant, including our current technician Alex Watson.

Mike was very professional, got to the details of what we were dealing with and then expertly explained how they were going to remedy our mouse problem and the services they’d be providing. Starting with carpenter ants, he has also successfully kept my home and crawl space free of mice, and just recently taken down a hornets’ nest. We were in the middle of a serious flea infestation & we were losing the battle! After 2 months of DIY methods & spending over $1000.00, I made the decision to call in the Professionals. They came that afternoon. I like that they didn't judge me & they let me know exactly what to expect. We have a lovely 3000 square foot home and every room had fleas. They knocked them down! There's still a few stragglers, they predicted there would be. Their Step 2 is 11 days away. I highly recommend this service!

Discovered a dead rat in the basement; called them as they came highly recommended by a friend. I can't say enough good about these guys! We discovered an infestation in our house and called them as soon as they opened the next morning. Aaron was knowledgeable and pleasant, and patiently answered all my questions. Another impressive thing is that, from the time I called them until they arrived and started spraying was only about 6 hours! Initially I emailed the company that I had a problem. Within 24 hours they responded and the next day a technician showed up to remediate our in-ground wasp swarm. They were expensive but the treatment worked albeit it took about a week before a noticeable difference was apparent. I am in the process of selling my 4 year old home. The buyer wanted a home inspection. One would think there wouldn't be much to repair in a new home. Well, let me tell you about two issues..... On the night the inspection was completed, my broker called me with the bad new that I had carpenter ants. I overreacted and contacted Green Pest Control immediately. They were over that evening! They located the problem, dusted, set bait and sprayed around the perimeter of my home. The next day I received a complete report of what was done, which was forwarded to my broker. The second issue was a small bee hive and old wasp nest in the attic. The wasp nest was knocked down and the bee hive was destroyed. I know I will receive a complete report tomorrow for that process. They were professional, dressed appropriately, respectful and knowledgeable. Once the treatment was complete, they explained to me what they had done. I highly recommended Green Pest Defense.
