A neighbor referred me to EcoCare Pest Control. I had a complimentary assessment with Patrick. He called me before his arrival and asked if he could arrive early as he had finished with his previous appointment. I said yes. When I told him that I was one stop away from the train station with a short walk, he kindly offered to pick me up. I declined because I knew I could get home faster. But what a thoughtful offer and excellent customer service! Patrick thoroughly inspected the interior of my house (including attic and basement) and also the exterior. At one point, he used a ladder to go on top of the roof and examine it despite the pouring rain. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and patiently answered my many questions. I've lived in the family home nearly all my life and hadn't encountered a rodent problem before so I had many questions. He listened to my concerns, photographed the points of entrance and showed them to me. He even installed complimentary screening over one of my return vents. I haven't yet used this business as I'm waiting for an estimate, but I'm very impressed and feel confident that EcoCare lives up to its motto of providing “superior pest solutions.”

Paul was knowledgeable and responsive to my concerns. And he is really enthusiastic about what he does as well and clambered all over the house and into the crawlspaces! He was available to answer questions by email after he left and was quick to reply. The first time, after reviewing the situation, he proposed an initial plan to deal with the immediate problem. This included things he did inside the house and outside. Thoughtfully, he waited a few weeks, to see what had happened, and how severe or not the problem was. When he returned a few weeks later, he proposed a number of options for going forward and wanted to make sure that I had the optimal option that would work for me. Our conversations were frank and helpful. He also made a number of home improvement suggestions, and he was fine with me using my own handyman to fix the problems, as long as he could look over the work and make sure it would work. Overall, so far, a very satisfying experience. You hear so many bad stories about pest control, and I am grateful that eco-care worked out so well for me.

We used EcoCare Pest Control several years ago to rid us of a rat problem in our back yard and we were very impressed with not only the quality of their service, but also their high level of business integrity, so when we worried that we might have carpenter ants, we went straight to them. David came by to assess the weird pile of sawdust mixed with a thick spider web sitting on our back steps. Thank goodness we don't seem to have an active ant problem YET, and he spent a good deal of time checking around the outside of our house and instructing us on how to watch for them if they should appear. He was very knowledgeable and instructive. We highly recommend this company!!

Very impressed by EcoCare pest. We woke up to swaming flying ants taking over our entry way- they fit us in the same day we called. He was professional and extremely knowledgeable. Not only that but so honest! He told us to try bait before spraying because of the location and certain factors. He could've easily charged us to treat instead and I would've had no clue. I worked with Paul Merchant. He was recommended by my neighbor. She said that he was helpful, answered questions, and put her completely at ease. I agree. I would go a bit further to say that he was efficient, knowledgeable, up front with recommendations. Ecocare promptly scheduled a free assessment visit for us - David came the day after we called about our ADU's ant problem. David was so professional and knowledgeable. He first listened carefully to our observations and then took a very close look around the dwelling. I must say, he's got an amazing eagle eye for spotting these TINY ants from across the room! He pointed out what we were already doing right and carefully explained additional steps we could take on our own. He answered all the questions we had about substances that can be used to bait for ants He explained in detail the services that EcoCare can offer for this problem and exactly how the charges would work. Armed with his evaluation and explanations, we are going to first see what we can do on our own. Thanks so much! We also had a great experience with EcoCare a few years ago when they treated for carpenter ants we found in our main house. Addundum: June 2022 - JimmyJohnson has done a full-day's work today to completely exclude roof rats and squirrels from our main house attic space. Super experienced and knowledgeable, very professional and efficient, and fully committed to having this be a definitive answer to our roof rat problem. Jimmy Johnson spent a lot of time explaining to us the nature and habits of rats. He really understands them and enjoys his work. I called him the rat whispererer! Super conscientious and detail oriented. He discovered a number of openings where the gutters meet the roofline that needed to be sealed off so that they won’t be getting in. Plus he identified areas in our crawlspaces where traps needed to be placed. I can’t recommend him enough. Very pleasant guy - very friendly and professional. We had rodent issues at our house and called EcoCare for help. Within 24 hours we had Jimmy at our place schooling us on the ways of the rat. He was friendly (even to our dog!), helpful and most importantly seemed to actually care about the work he was doing. You don't want to have to call for rodent issues, but if you do, you want Jimmy to answer. After a few sessions we are now rodent free and Jimmy has earned lifetime EcoCare customers!

We always prefer a more natural approach but it became clear that all the cinnamon/cloves/cayenne in the world would not solve our problem. Vigilant cleaning and OTC non-toxic sprays didn't help either. It's pretty hard to cook when ants are pouring into your kitchen! Steve came out and explained how/where ants nests, the trails they leave, and what would work best for us. He was friendly, professional and efficient. Easy to schedule a free consultation, exterminator was early, nice and professional. We were worried about termites we saw in wood in our backyard and saw some flying. The exterminator looked at the piece of wood that had the termite and told us what kind of termites they were, damp wood termites, and that we shouldn't be worried as the wood needs to be at an 80-100% saturation to get them. If we keep the house dry, no problem. Didn't push anything or try to sell/upsell. Wonderful experience

Paul has helped us with our mouse challenges twice now. Both times he was great about listening to our experience, doing a thorough exploration of where the mice might be entering the house (and my kitchen!), making recommendations and then adapting them to address our chemical sensitivity issues and desire to not use poisons. He took care of the problem and when, a few months later, new burrows appeared into our crawl space, he returned and dealt with those. All of the work was reasonably priced and done on-time. Paul was also great about wearing a mask to protect our high COVID-risk household, and he managed to do a lot of very dirty work in our crawl space without creating a bunch of dirt in our house :-).

David from Eco Care came out in-person and advised us on non-toxic and low cost methods for dealing with our carpet beetle issue independently. He did so with no pressure to purchase services from eco care and was very thorough in telling us about all of the options. We are going to give it a go and if we aren't able to get a handle on the problem by ourselves we will definitely engage eco care for supporting us in facilitating a minimally toxic approach to dealing with the issue. Very rare to find a business like this that offers honest approaches to an issue, especially when it clearly won't lead to a sale! We are appreciative.

Everyone I interacted with at EcoCare was amazing. Jimmy was our pest control provider and I don't think Ive ever worked with someone who loves what they do as much he does and it shows. Joe came to our house this morning to inspect our crawl space for rodents after we set up a camera and saw rats. We were able to see 5 rats exiting the crawl space over a period of 3 nights and sealed up the opening each night after they left. We were hoping to determine that there were no more rats as well as the extent of the damage from the ones that were "evicted." He was very friendly, informative and did a great job of explaining his process, findings, and solutions. He provided very realistic solutions that would address the issues, along with pictures from his inspection. Though we have not had the remediation work performed yet and cannot review the quality of the repair work, we were very happy with the overall inspection process and feel that our bid is appropriate based on the size of the job and work that needs to be done. We would definitely recommend this company for pest and rodent solutions.

He comes ready to take care of us & make sure the customer is happy. We have requested for Jimmy to always be our technician. My dogs Love Jimmy! When he walks in the house the dogs run over to him wagging their tail and ready for some loving. Very friendly and professional. I spoke with several people in the office who helped me with pricing and scheduling. When I was ready to book a date I was able to have someone come out within one week. Jimmy arrived at the scheduled time. We walked around the house and he explained what he would be applying and where. Out issue is spiders galore inside and out. I appreciate the product being used is safe and environmentally friendly. Important for us as we have pets. In addition to spraying he also sprinkled granules around our plants. So far so good. It has been three days since the product was applied and we have had no issues!

We had a large rat infestation in our yard that was booming out of control. Jimmy from Eco Care was a miracle worker. He got our rat problem under control, had tons of information, checked our crawl space thoroughly and repeatedly to make sure rats hadn't moved in from the yard, was lovely with our neighbor and convinced her to greatly curtail the food she was leaving out for wildlife (the reason rats had moved in). Eco Care is not the cheapest solution, but they sure know what they are doing. For the past decade, we have done everything reasonable to keep the odiferous house ants under control inside of our house: all surfaces cleaned every night, caulking of cracks were we see them entering, use of bait traps from the hardware store in the corners of our rooms. But it finally got so bad, we wanted to talk with a professional. What we didn't want was some program spraying toxic chemicals all over the inside and outside of our house. Insects and spiders are incredibly important animals for feeding birds, spider silk is important for bird nests, and chemicals that can kill ants can kill all sorts of important pollinators, butterflies, bees and more. I reached out to 4 pest control companies to ask about their approach, and the ONLY company who wanted to see and talk through the problem was EcoCare. Every single other pest control company I called wanted to immediately get me on a program where they kill everything in and outside our house, without even knowing what we really want or the actual problem. EcoCare sent out Dave Murphy who really knows insects. We had a great talk about the house ants, outlined all of the issues, and came up with a plan that would treat the ants without exposing nature or ourselves to toxic chemicals. I learned a ton. Austin came out to do the work a couple of weeks later and was super respectful of the plan and did a great job showing me exactly what he was using and how he was applying it. From beginning to end, EcoCare took the time to understand my wishes and my concerns, they respected those concerns, and together we came up with a plan that did the job in a way I felt good about. This company was super friendly and helpful. I first used the text service to ask a few initial questions and they were prompt and informative in their response. The expert quickly identified which pest he thought I might have based on a photo I texted, and he sent information about it. They offered to come for a free inspection and I opted for it. They were on time, did a thorough inspection, and spent quite a bit of time answering all of my questions. We found the main source of my issue pretty quickly and I opted to move forward with removal and cleaning on my own, but if the issue persists, I’ll definitely call these guys back. We started working with EcoCare last fall after hearing the pitter patter of squirrel feet in our attic. Turned out that we had a little bit of Cinderella situation going on up there with squirrels, roof rats and mice all living in harmony. Unfortunately they were not helping with chores and braiding the children's hair, but were instead incessantly breeding. Yay. Jimmy did an excellent job figuring out how they were getting in, which was not just via one spot, and methodically eliminating their entrance points. This included the unenviable task of climbing into our root cellar to seal off openings to our basement. Bless, Jimmy. I think I can safely speak for Jimmy when I say that he loves his job. And it shows. He is always on time, super careful to keep our house tidy, incredibly informed and just a genuinely nice guy. We have a historic rental in Ladd’s Addition—tenant reported bugs coming in windows. Turns out these are Elm seed bugs—really difficult to deal with, let alone eradicate! The service was good. They were on time. However, they failed to tell us that we had to dispose of our mouse traps that they left here. Pretty unclear about it all. When I called I was told that the person who came here, refilled them and that we could wait to dispose or dispose right away? What? Shouldn’t the service be completed? Why do I have to touch the traps? I told them that it would have been nice to know about the traps.... because we have the smallest trash. And we have kids- so I’d rather not have them hanging around for weeks. It’s just frustrating. Overall, the service was good. Just a bit annoyed that that wasn’t communicated.

Wow! These guys are super knowledgable! At least the technician that came to my house, Jimmy, was. I had two other pest control companies come to my house trying to figure out what kind of critters had invaded the crawl spaces in my attic. One said it was probably mice, the next was certain it was carpenter ants. They couldn't have been more WRONG. Jimmy from Eco-Care was meticulous in his inspection of my house. He listened carefully for sounds in the attic, got up on the roof, found entry points behind my chimney, and even identified poop to conclude the infestation was probably bats. He told me to go out later that evening and showed me where to look to see if bats would come out to hunt in the night. Sure enough, when it started to get dark, bats started to fly out from behind my chimney. Nice detective work, Jimmy!
