This is the second flea infestation I have had to deal with. Last one, was several years ago in a different house. Orkin gave me five star service at that time; when I recognize the situation I was in I called them again. Prior to calling them the last time I spent several hundred dollars trying to fix the situation myself. I could not. I spoke to Vic in their call center and he gave me 5* service while being friendly, helpful, informative and sympathetic. Zac, our in home tech was great. He called twice to communicate his arrival time. They have to come back for a second application but I expected that due to the flea life cycle. Call Orkin!

Joe from Orkin came and inspected my house for termites. He was super responsive and set up a time and called before arriving. He is a very smart and friendly person and was giving helpful tips on how to avoid termites. There was no sign of active termites and immediately sent me an email of the report and he mentioned when to have him come back again. I would highly recommend Joe and Orkin.

2 gentlemen arrived at my home at scheduled time. One fellow was in training and the other fellow was a Supervisor for Orkin. They asked me what problems I was having so I shared my concerns. They explained the plans to become a quarterly costumer and what they could do for me with my problems. So great! They where very professional and did a great service and once again at the end explained all areas and what they treated.

Joseph Klause, originally sold us the contract for both Termite Control as well as a quarterly inside pest control service. He was very knowledgeable, thorough, informative & very personable! The technicians that provide the inside and outside service are all wonderful & respectful of your house & your schedule. I especially have to tell you about my main Technician- Iilya ( I’ll update with his last name) but he is by far The Best! We had issues with spiders & ants and Iliya would come back as many times as needed, to re spray if necessary. He has even worked late and waited until I was home, if I couldn’t be there earlier in the scheduled day! Now that’s Customer Service! Thank You to all of the members of the Team. You can’t go wrong- any discrepancies and the office will always get back to you to correct any issues.

We have extensive termite damage accross broad areas of sill plates, studs and drywall in an historic brick building. The technician was thorough and knowledgeable explaining each step. There were some changes from the original plan laid out by the salesman and the tech was able to explain the change of plan and expanded the scope of work to give us an even better approach to protecting the new work. I’m a person who asks a lot of questions and the tech was great about answering and explaining as well as being patient and engaging.

This was my first appointment with Orkin. I couldn’t be more pleased due to the technician, Bob Stevens. His professionalism , extensive knowledge, patience, great communication, prompt arrival and general demeanor were unmatched. As an added plus, he was very calm with my dog so there was no added stress placed on me during the visit. We signed a yearly contract and I will be requesting Bob to be our technician every visit. Usually the Orkin servicemen are methodical and thorough . This was a serviceman new to our home. He was not methodical or thorough. His "method" was rather haphazard. When I suggested he be more methodical, he said he does fine and is thorough. He did miss some spots, by the way, but they were not significant enough to argue about.

The Orkin team provided an affordable and effective service, in a professional manner. They were responsive to my questions and concerns regarding off-target effects and respected areas of the property I didn not want to treat. We were able to enjoy our property without having to suffer the discomfort of mosquito bites and the risk of disease. Last year we couldnt even take out the trash without spraying down every inch of exposed skin with repellent. This was a night and day difference!

It was the 2nd time I saw a mouse in my rec room. I called Orkin on Labor Day, a holiday, cause I was freaking out. The man from Orkin was knocking on my door the very next morning. He put numerous traps and mesh and also sprayed for outside insects which I told him about also. My entire house was checked out, inside and out for any small holes and such. This company and the worker that came to do the job I don't think they communicate before they send him out. The technician was getting ready to go home or to do another job when I noticed what he had done wasn't what I was quoted for . I call the guy who gave me the estimate but he never picked up the phone or never call me back. At last the teck spoken to the estimator and he told the guy that I was right. Also that job was to big for one guy and at the end the dirt that he took out from the trench part of it end up in the grass and not back in the trench where it came from. One thing that I notice the guy that it was doing the job it's taking a big risk working without gloves , glasses or mask. I pray on God that he dont endup with Parkinson or something worth like Cancel. He is a great person, give him the right things that he needs to protect himself. In total today I had a very stressful day plus at my age 68 dealing with Parkinson.

I requested a specific Orkin pest service person And was not given that person repeatedly. I follow this Orkin person all around my home inside and out when they send me this one service person. Otherwise, he is in and out of the house in less time than is needed. I don’t know if the service person is unknowing or lazy about how to do his job. I am not fond of walking him around my home just to get the service I am paying to receive.

The technician was very professional, nice and in time. My only comment would be, it was a very quick visit. Over the phone I was told first service is about an hour as they will seal any cracks or crevices, inspect inside and outside, etc. the visit was about 20 min., he did lay traps and sprayed, but I somehow feel for the $ it should have been more in depth. It’s been 2 weeks, so the jury is still out.

Had a major ant and spider problem at my apartment, everyday bugs crawling everywhere made me very uncomfortable. I used different extermination services, but the bugs persisted. After using Orkin, I hadn’t seen one bug in my house for 4 months, in the middle of a hot summer, and that says it all. Going from seeing them everyday in and outside my house, to seeing none, has been amazing and makes me feel more comfortable in my own home. They come out free of charge in between visits if you need. 10/10 Recommend!

One thing I do have to say is to make sure that you read the contract very well. We got charged for a service that was not authorized to go through. They say you have to cancel the service but no where did I read that or was it brought to my attention. So everyone reading this, make sure you really read through the contract.

My experience with Orkin is amazing. I used a previous exterminator (Dynamite Pest Control) and they didn’t do nearly anything compared to Orkin. They sealed up so many holes that the last exterminator didn’t even check for. Not only that they set out way more traps and even offer to come pick up the mice if they traps catch one! On top of that they come out 4 more times throughout the next year to make sure everything stays up to par. I would recommend Orkin to anyone, they are by far the best.

Made a appointment for services waited a week when they came he look around for bugs with no special tools flash light nothing…before they come you have to prepay which is over $100 and they inspect the whole house which he didn’t …it wasn’t explained to me when making a appointment that $100 was just for inspection no treatment…very misleading and expensive.. I felt I just gave them my money to just walk through my house …very disappointed with this service what a ripoff

Usually guys that come out do a great job but I called 2 times to schedule an appointment beginning 2 weeks ago and it’s been over 30 days since the last visit. The people that do the scheduling did not do a good job this time. They were not responsive and for the last 2 weeks the bugs have been terrible

The tech arrived on time, with text notices giving 15 minute warning, did all of the preventative services that one would expect, paying particular attention to preventing intrusion from mice, as we had requested. Throughout he was respectful of our wishes and both professional and friendly. He reminded us they if we saw any pests, his return trip to deal with them is included in our quarterly payment, guaranteed.

I just recently bought a new home That needed to be exterminated and after a terrible experience with terminix before even receiving service, I cancelled them and called Orkin. In the beginning it was fine because they set up an appointment the same day which was perfect, but ended up canceling it an hour before for whatever reason(The reason for 4 stars). Scheduled me for the next day with a morning appointment and the technician came within the hour. He was very nice, very professional and whatever questions I asked, he answered and explained then to me thoroughly. I have to wait at least a week to see if I see a difference, and then I’ll be able to update my review.

There was some confusion as far as scheduled date for treatment for 08/03/20. Call back office to find out why the tech was taking too long. I was scheduled 8-11:45 am. It was after noon when I finally got connected with my local office. I was scheduled for 08/05/20 at the Local branch. James, the supervisor took his shoes off as soon as he entered my home. I looooooooove that especially because I didn't ask him to. Zachary, the main technician, laid traps, sprayed, baited inside of my home and outside of my home. He also gav extra attention to my basement. Patrick the tech was friendly and attentive. The Initial inspection probably could have been more thorough but the issue we called about really didn’t require it. I don’t care for the way I was (or wasn’t) informed about tech arrival after that initial inspection. The first appointment the tech didn’t show up in the time frame. He called the day before, said he’d be by, but didn’t show in the window. We have a small child, we placed dinner on hold, and he couldn’t even send a “running late at a job” type message. We would’ve understood. 15 minutes past the timeframe I texted the tech and asked him not to come. I got a message an hour later asking to reschedule. I wasn’t happy about it. Wife had me reconsider and I called back. I couldn’t get the local personnel on the phone, but got a nice fella with a very southern accent that apologized and persuaded me to give it another chance. After being put on hold by local, finally got through. I explained what had happened and how I felt about spending 400 with a company that didn’t even care to let me know they wouldn’t arrive. The person I spoke with was very blase about the whole matter. Didn’t even apologize for the way it was handled. Simple said she’d “inform the tech” or something to that affect. I said something like “there’s other places that would love my money” and she wasn’t even moved to apologize in an attempt to keep my business. Had an HVAC company here last week. Small business. Local. I was so informed about what was going on that I mighta got a text message if the tech stopped to make. People like to be informed when they’re paying for something. 400 bucks is nothing to sneeze at. I didn’t feel like my business was very appreciated. Again, new tech Patrick did his job well IMO. The original tech and the people answering the phones and the way they inform the customer? Not great at all. I own a small business. You don’t need to kiss my butt. Just be appreciative and apologetic if I have a real issue. I gave them a shot. I’m still considering switching an annual contract to another provider.

This is the first service we received from Orkin. It supposes to have a full examination of the property. The technician only took about 20 minutes to spray for ant control and placed a couple mice sticky traps in the kitchen floor, which I have to throw away because my dogs may play with them. Not worth the $376 charge. We will see the results.

My complaint with Orkin is the fact that there was never any communication of when they were coming out so I wouldn't be home when they did. Then they would still charge me for coming out after not doing anything. We have had a mixed experience with Orkin. The positives have been that they are very responsive, and the technicians are polite. Marquis, our primary technician is knowledgeable and willing to think outside the box. He has been helpful in targeting and monitoring pest issues and helping us navigate within the company to get what we want out of it. Some negatives have been, the service is expensive, it has taken multiple times to address certain issues, communication between different people has been lacking, we have had to be very proactive to get the (mouse) problems solved.

He didn’t really go over expectations before leaving. Forgot equipment in our driveway and I had to call back. UPDATE: I called, they said it would take time. They were right! Update 2/19/22: Seems customer service has been restored to baseline levels. Calls are returned, scheduling preferences are honored and the communication has greatly improved. Update- 10/23/20: I get that we are in a pandemic, but 7 months in companies should have figured out there new workflows. The communication/customer service for this location has definitely fizzled. I called this location twice, only having to leave a message for no one to call me back. Then I used the website to schedule a touch up service, and as per the confirmed email, I would only receive a call if they are "unable to honor my requested date." Something told me to call to confirm that someone would be coming because by noon, no tech had called to discuss a timeframe. This time, I actually get an answer but sure enough, no one is available until November 6th! 🤷🏾‍♀️ That's 17 days after my initial request - highly unacceptable. I've been a customer with Orkin for 6 years. Never have I ever had this much of a problem getting service. I think it's time to move on!! Sorry Orkin. When I first started with Orkin several years ago, service and communication was excellent. Recently, it seems the communication has slipped. I've had a service call show without prior notice. I've also had notification of service without a technician showing up on the specified date. Today's service was pretty spot on... Kobie was very knowledgeable and gave pointers to help with the issue. I've gone a very long time without seeing any activity, until the last few months which is absolutely annoying. Let's see how we continue from here.

What I moved here in 2002 I hired Orkin as my exterminator. My place has been bug free since I moved here they are the best pest control that I have ever used. I've been using Orkin for a few summer's and our technician, Victor, is great. This latest time he was late and we were not home, but our sitter was. He did not spray inside as instructed when I made the appointment which may have been no fault of his own if the message wasn't communicated. I tried to reach my local branch several times, once being asked to hold until I had to finally hang up and twice leaving messages with no return call. Finally, I tried the main customer service number and spoke with a nice woman who said she would put a message in to have them call. No call. Finally called again and spoke with Jose who I expressed my concerns with and his only response was, "so how can I help you?" I began to explain again about how I had a tough time with a return call and he interrupted and said, "well I'm here now". In the end our technician is scheduled to come out which is great, but wow!...Jose was dismissive and did not apologize and why would it take 3 messages and still no return call?!

My second appointment they arrived an hour and a half after the time gap I was given (time slot was 8-10 arrived at 11:30). I was also never updated I had to call in for info. The only upside to the whole deal was that I was given a discount and the technician was very kind. I’m hopeful that going forward they’ll be better but if not I’ll be going elsewhere. I'm a little disappointed- Initially there was a problem with my original appointment ( the technician became sick and was a no-show no call- things happen). The supervisor called after the fact to apologize and to reschedule my appointment. I was hopeful for a next day revisit and the supervisor stated that he would call back to confirm my request either way. The very next morning shortly after 8 am the technician was at the door. This became a missed opportunity, I was at another location and I never received the conformation call not to mention the 15 minute "in route" courtesy call. I was able to get someone to open the door, however I missed being there pointing out critical areas in need of attention, thus i feel the visit only covered superficial areas.

A friendly technician was sent to drill 52 pods some of which were into difficult PA flagstone-- not an easy task. Our representative/salesman did not return for a follow up visit in six months as promised. He had a technician visit after 12 months. I received an email that the technician was here--I was at home that day and never saw him nor did my crazy watchdog! We have a unique property with three separate buildings in a wooded area. The technician checked one of the 52 pods set on one building--the closest to the road--NOT the building where termites were initially visible!! Really? We want pods checked around all 3 buildings! That's what we were sold on--protection for the entire property! I called the 800 Orkin phone but got no response. Not the happiest customer. This seems a matter of trust NOT proof. As we're preparing for winter, splitting wood, termites are visible.

The technician was great deff was a huge help. On the other hand whoever scheduled my appointment messed up and set for 4-6 when supposed to be 8-10 in the morning. Then after all that I went home from work to meet at 4 then they called 5 min before the guy was supposed to show they called and canceled on me. And previously two weeks before they canceled on me Friday night for a Saturday appointment so I held all my weekend plans were ruined because thought they were coming Saturday. So basically if your gonna cancel don’t wait 5 min before. Guy who came out was awesome thou very professional and knew what he was doing. But yep prob overall I missed a full 8 hours of a work day

My experience has been mixed. Sometimes I get a long stretch with a good tech who listens to my requests have contracted for (call the time the schedule has been contracted for, arriving punctually, listening to my requests and following requests). Other times have been plagued with service issues (not calling, not showing up punctually with reason - and during the summer of 2018 not being able to call the local office with concerns - either no one would answer the phone and direct you to leave a message [and no one would return your call] or their voice message was full so you couldn't even leave a message. When no one would answer the phone at the local office you'd be left with having to call the Atlanta toll-free number which is mostly useless - it's a call center & the reps are obviously reading a script - I used to work at one for several years so I can always detect this. During my July 2019 service I even caught one of the gals at the local office in a lie regarding the status of the tardy technician. In August 2019 I had trouble but thankfully one of the service managers serviced me upon learning of tardy tech and not being able to get through to the local office. Thankfully today's (9/7/19) service went smoothly with a very reliable tech have dealt with in the past. I just wish I could get him for every monthly service call.

This past winter we had our first issue with mice in our house and with having a little baby (our first child) I needed this issue corrected and quickly so I called Orkin and did the plan of them coming out 3 times, they laid down different traps in places plugged up areas where they could be coming in from and found a spot in the kitchen that they could be coming from and after the first 2 visits all mice were gone we wound up with a total of 3 or 4 and i wouldn’t have been able to get it taken care of without their help! Orkin technician was scheduled same day I called. He arrived in the two hour window I was given. We had just discovered we had mice in the kitchen. He walked around the premises covering up any holes with some kind of steel material- every nook and cranny. Then he got on his back on the kitchen floor and looked for holes there and inserted steel wool. In the basement and kitchen he applied 3 diffferent types of traps. It was the most comprehensive service I have ever received from a pest control company. He sprayed for bugs, too- but I was really concerned about the mice. He even told me that if a mouse was caught in one of the glue traps, I could call Orkin to come get it. I learned more about mice behavior from technician Andrew Rock than I ever had in the past. Their payment plan is reasonable, too. I’d give Orkin an A today. Well done!

I want to STOP services and not continue to be charged.. And they always come in the morning, no one is home. Repeatedly, repeatedly, repeatedly. Since using Orkin we have not seen any ticks which was a major concern for me having 3 small boys who play outside alot. I also get eaten alive by mosquitos in the hotter months and I saw a significant decrease in mosquitos as well.

We had a problem several years with bugs getting into our kitchen through our unfinished crawl space. We signed up with Orkin to rid the initial problem and we’ve kept the service for prevention for years. Emmanuel is our rep. He’s always on time and is so considerate. Even though the chemicals used are not supposed to be toxic for pregnant women or children, he took extra precautions for me while I was pregnant and when my son was born. We joke now that we don’t see many bugs anymore but we keep the service just so Emmanuel can visit. :)

Ilya K from Phila residential branch 308 was the technician who safely and professionally sprayed and eliminated a Yellowjacket nest in the ground and hornets nest on side of my house that was tricky to reach inside the siding cap.. He sprayed both nests effectively and safely in one visit and he was brave enough to do so without wearing a bee suit. He evaluated both nests and determined the type of bee and the best way to eliminate the nests and did so in one visit at a reasonable cost. He explained there may be some activity around nest today but they will fly away. If problem occurs again, the service is guaranteed for 30 days. I highly recommend Orkin and would use them again if needed.

Hard to say, called with a problem and talked in length and told in detail about the service I would receive. The exterminator who showed up had no idea what he was even here to do. Nice guy though, wasn't his fault. Anyway, same result as last exterminator, which is no results, a bunch of talk how they kill this or that and nothing survives. Still have pest problem and no dead pests.
