We are so grateful for the annual inspections from Critter Control. We used to have a bat infestation (years ago) and they were able to exclude the bats from our home. They did not "exterminate" as the services states, the bats are harmlessly excluded by the use of a one-way bat valve, so they can get out but not back in. Then they sealed all the tiny places bats could enter and inspect these annually. For many years we have been bat-free. Tom does a GREAT job! He's thorough and communicates well with us. We appreciate him!!!

Alex came to my house and completed a general assessment of my home and why there might be mice entering the attic space. He was responsive, incredibly fair and wanted to come up with a solution that addressed the root cause of the problem. I followed through with both of his suggestions, caulking the exterior of the home and setting up four bait stations outside and since then I have not had any mice. 10/10 would recommend Alex and Critter Control to a friend.

Alex came to our home to remove a bird's nest from our gutters. He was extremely friendly, both on the phone and in person, and arrived when he said he would. Alex did a thorough job, checking all of the gutters on our home to make sure that there were no additional nests, and applying repellant to deter future nesting. He even wiped bird poop from a window and siding while he was on the roof! Alex also took the time to answer questions, and was clearly knowledgeable. We would use Critter Control again (although hope we don't need to!).

My goodness. I had a problem scenario. A raccoon that was trap shy in my attic. It would not come out through the hole that seemed to be its entry point. One company quit, not being able to solve the problem. Critter Control was my second call. I wish they were my first. They were very patient with all my questions. No hesitation about having to do ugly disposal of dead carcasses (mama died from unknown causes). CC was Quick to clean up and help secure the home against future intrusions. I was aware that this could have meant a lot of additional work but I found it easy to be confident, based upon their open communications. Over the phone, they gave me all the answers and assurances to show me they were a quality service. The fact that they did not need to set a trap, or extract live raccoons, does not reduce my confidence in their handling that equally well.

Critter Control came recommended by another company that could not perform the service I needed. When I called, they could not only perform the service, but could also prevent it from ever happening again. They would have fixed the problem the same day but special equipment so they came out the next day and took care of everything beyond what I could have asked for. The specialized preventative measure they built for my problem is very high quality and will not cause damage to my house and is not an eyesore. One the service was complete, Gary called me to let me know what he did and that he was done and let me know what follow up from his company was coming. Great people, Great service, Great product, overall Great experience. It is extremely rare that you find a company that can provide such a good experience from beginning to end. Had a racoon got into our roof and had babies after all the home remedies didn't work we called Alex showed early and briefed us and set up the trap .But to our surprise she left and took her babies with her the night before we think it had to do with the remodeling that was being done in the house and all the noise . Within two hours of my call, Tom was at my house ready to take a look. He was very prompt and thorough with his assessment, and had set up 2 traps on our roof within an hour. He explained all costs beforehand, and gave me some pertinent information regarding the wildlife. Throughout the week, the traps were checked, and once the wildlife was caught, it was removed that day. Tom then covered the holes in our chimney and sealed them off. I appreciate all the work by Tom and the Critter Control Team!

Alex was great. But the company was poor at responsiveness. We had to keep calling them to come out, estimate the work, answer some follow up questions and then finally do the work. The work has always been good with them, but this year was the first time we could not get them to call us back or do the work without us having to keep calling them to respond. They never said they were super busy, so not sure what's up.

Outstanding company. I had birds pulling up my gutter guards and building nests under them in the gutters. Tom came out for what I thought was going to be an estimate, and ended up taking care of the problem, as well as helping to reassemble one of my downspouts that was catching debris. Richard was very knowledgeable answered all my questions without the usual “I will have to get back to you” explained exactly what his plan of attack was. Voles!!! The little creeps were eating my garden, from roots up. Never seen anything like it. So far so good but no guarantees that they’d be gone for good. This is the only reason for the 4 star! Was a bit pricey, to me, but we didn’t check anyone else’s prices hubby used Critter control before. No Guarantee wasn’t Richard fault, company policy. But I never thought I was being hoodwinked! He was honest and upfront the whole time. Appreciate that quality, and the company should be glad that he is there.

Ultimately had to cut a hole to get baby raccoons after exhausting alternatives and adjusted his schedule to come back when my wife heard them making noise! Cut to the ceiling was small (I was expecting a larger mess than was necessary) due to Alex being able to pinpoint where to cut to be able to reach in and grab the young ones! We called on the weekend after hearing noises we did not like. We had a different company come out the day before, and they said we had mice. We knew after hearing the noises again, we were not dealing with mice. We did have to pay extra for the weekend call, but Alex called us with updates on when he was coming, took a look around and took photos of the bats in our attic and the places they were entering. He gave us what appeared to be a fair proposal (we did not shop around given that we trusted him and given the experience with the company the day prior) and we accepted. Alex took time to answer all our questions, and we appreciated that.

Over a Saturday night a destructive woodchuck dug a huge hole next to the foundation of my house. I knew this needed to be handled immediately. I called several services with no luck. My sister called and said she found a company called Critter Control. I called and left a message. They responded first thing Monday morning. Alex from Critter Control, showed up Wednesday morning. He explained how the service works and the cost. Alex set the trap and left. The woodchuck was in the trap within an hour. Alex returned and set another trap and took away the first woodchuck. The next morning there was another woodchuck in the trap. Alex returned and loaded the animal onto his truck. He then helped me to refill the hole. I am impressed with the timely and professional job that Alex did. He was also very polite and knowledgeable. I will recommend this company to anyone in need of this service.

I recently went through the nightmare of the destruction to my home caused by unwanted tenants called raccoons. I contacted critter control and my control specialist was Tom M.. Tom was very knowledgeable, professional and knew exactly how to handle my situation. These raccoons went basically around my home all 4 corners and in the peaks just destroying property after they were caught Tom repaired the damages and i was very impressed that he takes pride in his work not giving some botched up job, he's patient, very friendly, and committed. We recently bought a hundred-year-old home in rural southwest Iowa, and got a little more than we bargained for. This past winter during a warm spell, we heard the unmistakeable sound of bats in our attic. After a call to Critter Control, Tom Mendocino arrived to tell us nothing could be done until spring as the bats were a protected species. Early in March, Tom returned and spent most of a day bat-proofing our home and installing a bat escape hatch. When the bats left, they would be unable to return through the hatch. Tom spent hours meticulously insuring that there would be no other point of entrance. He asked us about paint colors so the house would be cosmetically correct as well as bat-proof. Tom is a careful and detailed professional, and his repairs seem to be working as we have no evidence of bats. We highly recommend Tom Mendocino.

Our home is an older three story and Tom did not hesitate to climb to the roof overhang to place traps and secure the holes once the raccoons were caught. Thinking we had racoons in our attic, I made an appt with Critter Control and they were out on time and the day we scheduled. In fact, the Tom who helped us had a cancellation and called us to see if it would be okay to come early and if we were home. It worked out great! he did a thorough inspecition on the roof, in the crawl spaces and the attic, as well as inspected shingles and the chimney and even our basement. At the end of his hour or so inspection, Tom determined the noises that we were hearing to be bats, and put our minds at ease knowing it wasnt a family of racoons. He gave us a competitive quote for bat removal, and caulking and we will be contiuing these services in the spring. Critter Control is reliable, and professional. 5 stars all around.

Pretty much I have decided that if there is a critter in my house it must be out to get me. Considering each discovery of critters I have been sleeping in my bedroom. I wasn’t sure I would ever want to sleep in my bedroom again after I woke up to a bat flying around. But once Critter Control came out and they were so kind and did such great work I was finally able to work up the nerve to sleep in my bedroom again. Then when I woke up to the sound of little feet in the ceiling above my head I was FOR SURE there was a new critter trying to get me. I spent the following days sleeping on the couch in the other room because obviously the critter wouldn’t find me there. When we scheduled for Critter Control to come back I wasn’t sure how long it would take me to want to sleep in my room again. But once again they were SO NICE and respectful. He asked a lot of questions and explained to me what the possibilities could be. He checked everything over and eased my mind. I did sleep in my bedroom again that night and it felt so nice to be able to sleep so well. Service like that is worth it’s weight in gold. We had a bat fly into our home. It wouldn't go out the door. Not knowing if it was still in our home we called Critter Control. After coming out we were offered several options. We chose what was right for us. They put a sock on the spot and felt the bat or bats would leave through this. They went all around and sealed any openings. The only negative thing is that they don't have enough employees so weeks went by from the first contact to actually doing any work. I actually don't know if Alex or Cory did the work because I was unable to write this back a few weeks ago. He said he was leaving the company soon. Thanks

We had a racoon, actually several come into our attic and they would fight in the late evening into early morning. They were above one of the bedrooms and when they fought it sounded like the celling was going to cave in. We called Critter Control and Tom was assigned to us. I can't say enough and how pleased we were with him. He came every morning, placed the cages out on our roof and tried hard to catch these horrible sounding animals. It all ended and they finally left and we never heard them again. This company worked fast and again, Tom did everything he could to help us. Cory did a great a job of calling ahead of the scheduled time, and was here promptly at 8:00 for his scheduled time. He was really professional and did a great job of searching around the house for any of our Bat related problems, and climbing on the roof to double check some things as well. He even showed me pictures of possible problems, and gave me a couple estimates with different options. This was all for an estimate. The guy who showed up did a great a job. HOWEVER, there website states right at the top "Call for a fast & FREE estimate today". The estimate WAS NOT free, and when I initially called, they didn't say anything about the charge to come out here, and I was blindsided by it. I received an email to give a review right away, and so I am. I have not had any work done yet. When I do, i will add to this review, or write another one.

Alex was on time and he was exceptionally well informed, answering a lot of questions. When he removed the cages, he plugged up the holes, which had been a big concern. BATS!! Once again I have bats in the attic! 10 years ago I had bats removed from my house by Critter Control. No problems ever since, but I recently had my house re-roofed, and I now have bats again. Apparently roofers are not aware of the fact that a 3/8ths gap is all a bat needs to enter a house. Pest control companies are rather expensive but, they do a job most of us would never want to do. Tom, the pest tech, showed me 3 bats that he had removed from a house yesterday. He had them in a plastic see through container. Little furry ugly skeeter eaters! I appreciate what they do for our environment, they just need to stay out of my house and Critter Control does that!

Had a wily woodchuck living under my deck. After checking out where the woodchuck was getting under the deck, Richard installed a cage to trap the animal. When he checked the trap on the second day saw that the woodchuck avoided the trap, Richard devised a more sophisticated trap, which the woodchuck avoided. On the third day, Richard checked out other areas around the deck and then set a second trap at what appeared to be another location the woodchuck was setting up to use as a way to get under the deck. Success on the fourth day! At all times Richard was polite and advised what and why he was doing what he was doing. He advised what was needed to be done in order to close off the entrance under the deck so that other animals would not crawl under the deck. I highly recommend Richard.

An acquaintance from a few years ago saw my post and recommended Tom M. Coming home from work I discovered the dead bat in my garage, called Critter Control and asked for Tom. We had raccoon(s) chew a whole in our siding and were inside our attic. We contacted Critter Control of Omaha and within one day Specialist Alex Lopez arrived and explained what he could and would do to removed the raccoons from our attic. He put my wife's concerns at ease. He set up traps and told me how to make my house less attractive to raccoons and other large pests. It should be noted that during this process, he returned every day without an addition charge to check the traps and progress. Following his advice and plan, the raccoons left our attic at which time he sanitized it and sealed the holes. I would highly recommend Alex Lopez from Critter Control.

I had a female raccoon make a hole in my roof to have 7 babies in my attic! It was horrible. I called critter control snd with 2 business days Tom came out to set traps. He also set traps for moles. Every day or so he came to check the traps and moved them around. Finally the raccoon was captured after about 4 days. She was atleast 25lbs. Tom came right out removed her and her litter. He went above and beyond to remove them by taking thr babies out one by one. Who were on the opposite side of the house as the original entry to the attic. Tom also removed 1 mole from my property. This was a total relief. At the end of the removal Tom repaired my roof and gave every service that was needed to restore my home. Im very pleased with critter control.

We had this noise in the attic, and sometimes the walls, of our house. For years. It was upstairs, and the kids never told us. (We heard it after they moved out.) After I found one bat sleeping in a box in the attic, and had the Humane Society come and get it, Critter Control fixed the major entry points, got the bats to leave. Then they cleaned up the droppings, and replaced the contaminated insulation. When I see just about everyone on the street dealing with the same little critters, I am glad we had the work done. Bats do not belong in people's houses!

I am extremely impressed with Richard at Critter Control!!! I called critter control because I had what I thought was a gopher in my backyard. Every morning I would see a new mound from that little rascal. I tore up my yard looking for the holes and/or tunnels with very little success. When I did find one I tried killing him with smoke bombs and flushing him out with a water hose, but nothing worked! I Did a lot of research on the web for ideas on how kill gophers and find their holes but it was useless. I continued tearing up my yard looking for holes and tunnels...I was getting very stressed out I didn’t know what to do. I tried a couple other companies but they said they needed special permits or said because city ordinances I would have to take care of it myself or they wouldn’t even call me back. I thought I was all alone on this one and needed to take care of it myself, but I couldn’t. I was becoming more and more stressed out with each new mound. We just had our house built and the sod was freshly laid so you can imagine the stress I was under, I really was almost in tears. I took another chance and called a third company for help and thank God I did!!! I didn’t expect very good results because of horror stories I read about from people having a hard time getting rid of these things. Richard showed up and told me I had pocket gophers. He didn’t seem to have any trouble finding the holes and tunnels under the mounds. He put poison in the holes and said he would check back in two weeks for any new activity. The next day I didn’t see any new mounds. I thought maybe he just scared them and they would start digging again soon. It’s been two weeks and I still haven’t seen any new activity!!! I am so excited!!!! I’m so glad I called these guys…just typing this brings tears to my eyes. If you’re going through what I went through, save yourself the stress and headache and call Critter Control...you won’t be disappointed.
