Evens is such a wonderful person to work with! I found his business online and he was the most reasonable quote I received. He answered my very first phone call and scheduled to come the next day! To remove a groundhog, other companies were charging an arm an a leg! Evens did honest work and did not take advantage of the emergent need! We had 4 groundhogs in our backyard. He did Groundhog trapping and removal and ant control. He was so patient with those 4 groundhogs and came back 4 times, as soon as a groundhog was trapped! I’m glad we found Evens. He is so reliable and easy to work with! I would confidently recommend him to anybody!

I highly recommend Universal Pest Control. I recently used their services when I noticed mice droppings on my deck and in my linen closet. Evens did a thorough check of my home - indoors and outdoors - and recommended a plan of service, giving me two options. He returned a few days later for the initial treatment, and since that time he has returned twice (in 3-week intervals) for check-ups. Evens was prompt, professional, and courteous. And my mice issue is resolved. However, I did sign up for a 3-month check-up. Universal Pest Control is worth every penny!

We found a live mouse in the kitchen at about 11oclock at night. Evan came out within the hour at midnight, got rid of the mouse, and helped us with a comprehensive inspection of the whole apartment and laid new traps throughout. He was an absolute professional and gentleman. Should I ever find myself in the unfortunate circumstance of having mice in the apartment again, Evan’s will be the first number I call!

I have now used this service twice, and have been very impressed both times. Both visits were on time, efficient, and good value. First, Evens came in to remove a large hornet's nest from my back wall. He did this quickly and safely. During that visit he also sent a drone up to inspect my roof, as I'd been hearing animal sounds in an inaccessible part of the attic. He quickly identified several places where birds or squirrels could get into the roof. We arranged a separate visit for his team to seal off the entry points and check the roof and foundations for any other gaps. I was really impressed by these arrangements, which were both sensible and humane. They usually plan two visits - first, to install a one-way exit so that any animals trapped in the roof can escape, then a return trip to seal the gap. In the end, however, we only needed one visit, as the team was able to persuade the birds hiding in my attic to move out! After the birds left, the team sealed everything up, then went around the house checking for other gaps to rodent-proof the house. I'm very satisfied with the results. These guys are incredibly pleasant and helpful and they won't waste your time. Once on site, they know exactly what to look for and each time they did the job beyond spec. I won't hesitate to call Evens any time I need pest control services, and I would warmly recommend the service to others.

I have actually never left a review, good or bad, in my entire life. I never would have thought a pest control service would be my first, but Universal is actually that good. After buying my first house I hired a large national company who had terrible service, changed appointment times, and tried to upcharge and over charge us for a relatively small mouse issue they found. We had someone sitting at our kitchen table trying to scare us and strong-arm sales tactic us into spending 7-8k to fix the problem. Decided to shop around and gave universal a try based on google reviews. Evens and the team fixed the problem for $300 bucks while taking significantly more time and attention on their work. They could have easily pushed us on replacing our attic insulation like the other company did and we would have never known the difference. You don’t see that kind of honesty these days. Friendly owner and staff, best prices anywhere in north jersey, great service, and honest business practice. Don’t use anyone else.

Prior to hiring Evens with Universal Pest Control, I’ve had two other firms out to address our cave cricket problem. The other guys, for whatever reason, would not climb into the crawl space to properly assess and treat the problem. Evens was very easy to communicate with, get an appointment set up, and he assured me he would go into the crawl space. I am very happy with the results and his follow-up. I’m hiring him for ongoing maintenance on a quarterly basis.

I got in contact with Universal through one of my friends. I was having some issues with rodents within my home and the traps I was using weren't really doing the trick. When I called and made an appointment the technician was very polite and calm over the phone. The day of our appointment he arrived 15 min early as I was on my way home from work. As he proceeded to do the work I sort of followed him around and just watched as he worked. He was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of the questions that I had asked him, this being my first time using an exterminator. It was set up in a way so that I wouldn't have to constantly look at all the traps and after the work was done he also gave me some monitoring tips. From the day of to a two weeks later I noticed less and less of them to the point where they were no longer around. I called him up a few days later for a follow up visit and he was happy to me and to see that I was happy with the results. After the follow up I had no more issues and was relieved. Even bough It was first time using his service, I would definitely recommend! UNIVERSAL IS A MUST!

A little over a month ago, saw a tiny mouse in my kitchen late at night, almost had a nervous breakdown! First thing the next morning, read reviews and found these guys! They quickly came out for the inspection and by the next day came out to seal the gap between the siding and wall in the basement. Also set up traps and disinfected the basement and garage. I've been having seasonal issues around this time of year (Fall) with little flies and ants. I live in area where its infested with them and I gave this company a try. Gave them a call and was punctual with their time of arrival. Next day the pests were eliminated and it's been two weeks since their visit. There was a squirrel in my attic that actually made it's way to the ceilings of the 2nd level of my house & the noise it was making was driving me crazy. I called an exterminator. The 1st technician they sent out told me there might be mice in the ceilings. I knew that wasn't true no mice could make the loud sounds this squirrel made, + there were no other signs of mice. Didn't hear the squirrel for a day, but when I heard it again, as suggested, I called the exterminators. The owner came this time; he acknowledged that it was probably a squirrel, found 1 entry way & bc we heard no squirrel noise he closed it up, left without checking for other possible entries. Needless to say the squirrel was still in my house. Called the exterminator again, he couldn't get to my house right away so I decided to look for another company. Thank goodness I found Universal Pest Control. Two gentlemen arrived promptly as scheduled and when I described the noise that I heard they knew right away that it was a squirrel. They did a thorough check of my house and found three other squirrel entry ways. They were very honest & pointed, out to me (w/photo), that the squirrel entries were due to damaged fascia & wood and needed to be repaired by a roofer. The roofers closed entryways as advised by Universal Pest Control. I called Universal for follow up and thanks to their honesty, knowledge, and professionalism I saved time, money and most of all my home is free of that nerve wracking squirrel!
